 there are some techniques to avoid a very happy and giddy gojo satoru but megumi hasn't been able to find any because apparently every time something good happened , he either had to listen and interact or patiently wait for satoru to have mercy on him and tell him what happened . either way , it's not easy to handle a happy gojo satoru ; and he was quite the opposite of what he had been a few months ago before suguru joined in . they'd whisper to each other , satoru would smile , like a human being rather than a mocking hyena . . . and for some reason megumi couldn't exactly trust this man . knocking twice , walking in ; cold stare fixed on the ever cheerful man [ @jusoshi ] he sets the files on the table . ❛ satoru sensei said i had to check this place with you this evening . ❜ a ' haunted ' school , three dead girls — their remains looked too gruesome to belong to a human killer . megumi crosses his arms , keeps staring at him with a blank face . ❛ i spoke to some of the students . they talked about a ghost crying in the basement . ❜

it’s a bit chilly. you stand in the unusual silence of the square usually buzzing with life, especially on halloween night, positioned on a pedestrian bridge.

there is something pinning you in place. you feel heavy, never enough oxygen in your lungs. you have a few minutes before you need to meet with your team-mates, so this is the last bit of peace you will get for a while.

you try to ignore the burden lying within you. guilts seeps in your brain at the thought that it is a burden, because fuck, you’re never the person to call a child, let alone the product of you and satoru’s love, a burden.

but right now? when you’re about to lay your life in a fight you don’t even know you’ll survive?

a sense of protection overtakes you, surging panic through your very veins, urging you to just fucking flee. you don’t have a good feeling about this mission.

you lowkey hoped that he’d find you before it all goes down. you didnt have the time to meet after your big revelation, only having time to throw in a couple of “stay safe”s through text, but at a time like this, when everyone inside the veil is asking for the gojo satoru, you doubted he’d have time for you.

however, a gust of wind proves you wrong. you don’t move, looking over the railing still as the atmosphere buzzes with the pure powerful energy that is your satoru.

your heart drops when first thing he does is wrap his arms around you from behind, a hand settling on your belly.

“pissing all by yourself, handsome?”

you genuinely can’t help the giggle pulled out of you, no matter how short-lived it is. he rests his chin on the top of your head, and you tilt your gaze down to settle on the instinctive hand resting protectively where a whole new life is being created. you hesitantly put your hand on top of his, a shaky breath escaping your lips at your first attempt of acknowledging the slightest of bumps under your hands.

“is this your post?” satoru asks quietly.

“no,” you intertwine your fingers with his. the sadness in your bone at a loss that is yet to happen heavies you some more. this embryo's story is bound to end before it even begins. “i’m with nanami and megumi outside the veil.”

“i heard nanami’s bringing ino around for his grade 1 recommendation,” gojo builds a conversation. he lowers his head to your shoulder, turning his head to plant a sweet, lingering kiss on hour neck. “that’s bound to be a good watch party.”

“ino’s talented.” you reply, voice empty, mind elsewhere. “it’s about time.”

you two stay quiet for a few seconds, looking out on your comrades at a distance. the gnawing in your chest opens it up, convincing you that if satoru lets you go the world will cease to exist.

you grasp his right bicep with your left hand, pulling you both more into one another. he doesn’t move his hand from your belly, and you are almost convinced that he just fucking knows somehow. self-conscious, you turn around in his arms, allowing him to hold you to his chest instead.

your arms are tugged in between you two, and from another angle, it will look like satoru has engulfed your body whole into his.

“oh, my baby,” you can hear the smile in his voice while your eyes brim with tears. “we’ll be fine. quick in and out.”

you try to nod in his chest, but a sob involuntarily breaks out of your lips. he rocks you side to side silently, sighing in what sounds like absolute content to your ears.

you’re not crying because of the mission, you’re never like this.

everything is happening at once. you can’t even breathe properly unless his arms are around you.

“good thing you’re with megumi,” he rests his chin on the crown of your head again. “if that fucker decides to summon mahogara one more time—“

your sob breaks into laughter. you hit him on the chest.

satoru laughs along with you. “he’s so dramatic sometimes. i wonder who is he like.”

you look up at him, face red and tear-stained and all, with a deadpan that makes him want to kiss you silly. he continues laughing, and you realize that his blindfold hangs around his neck, allowing you to see just how big his smile is. dimples on display and eyes closed in absolute bliss. you want to grab him and run.

he grabs your cheeks endearingly, resting his forehead on yours. “I think we did a good job raising him, no?”

oh god.

more tears brim in your eyes as he tilts his head back to properly look at you. you attempt to smile as you nod, but the thoughts his previous statement triggered chokes you. you are, once again, reminded of what lies in the space between the two of you.

and by the look in his eyes, you know what he will say next will break you.

“good practice run. little fucker is at maximum difficulty.” he plants a kiss to your nose. “I never thought i'd be dad material, really. but having those kids around recently,” satoru pauses, wiping a thumb gently on your cheek. "seeing you with them, made me wonder how nice it'd be to have some of our own at some point."

“satoru,” your voice breaks, unable to control the sad expression on your face any longer. one of your hands holds his as he still cradles your cheeks.

"we just need to finish all of this." satoru smiles down at you. "make this world better for them. make it safe for them to grow without trouble."

your arms are suddenly thrown around his neck, and his own scoops you from the ground, pulling you as close as it is humanly possible. you hide your face in his neck, failing to conceal your sobs.

he chuckles a bit, but this time around, you can tell the heaviness that lies within. "come on, sweets. if i knew i'd make you this sad--"

you shake your head almost frantically. "n--no."

“you can cry to me all you want after we’re done,” he gives you a squeeze before he sets you down on the floor. he tilts your head up to him, wiping away your face with the material of his sleeves. “don’t get too shaken up before a fight now, okay?”

you nod almost childishly before he plants a sweet, lingering kiss to your forehead

“you have both megumi and nanami. you three will be just fine. i know you cant take care of each other and get the job done.”

“who’s gonna take care of you?” the look on your face shatter’s satoru’s heart. he still smiles, wiping his thumb under your eye.

“you will,” he grins. “i’ll come back right here, and you’ll take care of me just fine.”

yn pov 3rd person

She sighed, finally finishing her test. Now, it was time to see what she got on it. She'd been lucky enough to remember her test was today just in time, but now let’s see if she was lucky enough to get a good grade despite her last minute studying, constantly leaving online classes early, and turning in assignments late. 

Which the only reason why these things would happen is because of newjeans. 

“ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh,” she whispered, her hand shaking as she reached for the refresh button—or maybe she was just being dramatic. She pressed it, and then—“YES! OH MY GOD!” she cheered, seeing her grade: a B. 

Just as she was about to scream some more, a text popped up, it was utahime reminding the group about an afternoon dance rehearsal for their new song, Supernatural.

“Right, rehearsal,” she murmured, calming down a little but still feeling the excitement. She grabbed her dance bag and was just about to leave when she caught a look at her reflection in the mirror by the door. Maybe she should actually get ready for the day—considering she’d just ran out of bed in panic earlier today and hadn’t even showered yet.

Megumi’s pov 3rd person

morning classes are done, and now he has about an hour and thirty minutes until his afternoon classes. Everyone else is out of the dorm doing something, except Toge, who’s napping on the couch. Megumi opens the fridge—nothing, besides four eggs left. "Of course," but he pulls the eggs out of the fridge and starts cooking them, which makes Toge’s big back ass wake up.

"Can I get some?" Toge asks.

"No."

"Why?"

"Because there’s only four, and you guys are always eating everything anyway."

Toge groans. Maybe a few minutes later, Megumi gets a text from Yuuta: "megumi it’s your turn to get the groceries and share some eggs with toge"

"No way you just snitched on me," Megumi says. "Shareeee, Megumi."

"You know what," he says, "since you wanna be so big..." He puts the cooked eggs onto a plate. "Have the rest. I don’t fucking care."

He moves toward the door and grabs his keys. 

"Wait, where are you going?" Toge asks.

"To get some groceries, since you wanted to tell on me," he replies, leaving the dorm.

Yn pov 3rd person 

It’s been about 15 minutes, and Uber won’t fucking work. She tried reopening the app, restarting her phone, deleting and downloading the app EVERYTHING but it won’t work. She also tried asking the other members to pick her up; half of them are already there, and the other half hasn’t seen her message.

“guess I’m just gonna have to walk.”

The walk isn’t exactly long, just a few minutes, but it’s still risky considering she could get noticed. So, she’s gonna have to wear a mask and some glasses. She went down the stairs, then out the door, walking down the street with her head down as well so she could definitely not be noticed. Amazing idea, right?

♧Nanami♧ (As an office worker)

Nanami reads the weather report to see how long the down pour of rain would last. He looked out the glass doors before picking up his brief case. A ding behind him indicated someone was coming out the elevator. He kept walking toward the door when he heard a breathy

"Crap"

It was your voice, he turned around to see you looking through your bag for an umbrella. The you looked up only to met Nanami's eyes.

"Uh Nanami. Good afternoon" You said

"Afternoon" he replyed.

"The rain is supposed to get harder from now" He said.

Your eyes widened. You were going to be soaking wet on the train home. You thought about running to the station, it wasn't to far but it wasn't close enough to get there dry.

"Are you going to the station?" He asked

You nodded your head and watched as he sighed and placed his brief case on the ground and took off his blazer.

"We can run there now, if you want. I forgot my umbrella to."

You couldn't help but nod trying to hide your smile and pink cheeks. Being a office worker sucked, except for your co-worker that you had a crush on. Nanami looked even better with out the blazer.

Was this a dream? You too stood outside the buildings cover before he stood beside you and held his blazer over you both.

"Ready?" He said

"Ready" you said holding his brief case against your chest with your bag on your shoulder.

"Okay 3....2...1"

You both got to the station mostly dry, couldn't say the same about his blazer though.

°Gojo° (Teen)

Gojo stood outside of the building that you two fully exorcised. You were exhausted and lost your bag somewhere in the building, presumably eaten by a curse and your umbrella along with it. The last thing you wanted to do was go home soaking wet. You walked out the building behind Gojo just staring at him.

"Lucky bastard." you mumbled. His infinity was on so the rain had no chance of touching him.

"What was that?" he said with a smirk

"Forgot your umbrella?"

"You have 6 eyes, YET YOU COULDN''T STOP THE CURSE FROM EATING MY UMBREALLA" You said.

"I had other priorities, like stopping the curse from, oh I don't know, EATING YOU."

"What ever." you sighed. You tying your shoes before you ran to the train station when you raised your head to see Gojo's hand out stretched infront of your eyes.

"Go on, take it." he said with a smile

You hesitated before slowly reaching and taking his hand. As soon as your hand was in his he grabbed tightly and pulled you into the middle of the street, completely catching you off guard.

"HEY! YOUR GONNA GET ME WET" You shouted

You both stood there for a moment.

"Am I...am I in you infinity?" You asked not feeling the rain at all.

"Yep" He said smiling joyfully as he began to walk you home.

"Well, goodnight then and thanks for the infinity." You said trying to avoid his blind fold. What dose it matter, what can't he see?

"No prob" he said as you closed the door.

"And then I pulled her out into the rain and I ACTUALLY USED INFINITY ON HER, NO SUGURU IM SERIOUS, I KNOW SHE LIKES ME, HER FACE WAS RED AND EVERYTHING" he said talking to Suguru on his phone while walking home.

Balance - AU JJK - side plot #4 - Happy Halloween!

Tsumiki and Megumi are very excited to go trick or treating at their school with their parents, and better yet Bee ensure's that their costumes are the best!

I was lounging on the couch playing on my phone in silence when I could hear the familiar excited squeals from outside. I smiled knowing who was going to come through the door. The door opened and in came Toji with Megumi in his arm and Tsumiki at his side her small hand in his.

“Bee, Bee!” she said happily as she ran up to me. Her small backpack was decorated with bats and pumpkins. October was the children’s favorite month I had learned. Crazy how these three have been here for six months already.

Megumi was put down and he joined his sister sitting on me with excitement.

“Bee, Bee!” he said, and I chuckled and held them close.

“Hello little ones. How was school?” I asked. Toji approached leaning over to plant a gentle kiss on my lips.

“Hey.” he said lovingly.

“School was great! The school’s going to put on a big trick or treat day on Friday and let kids walk around with their costumes and get candy from neighboring classes!” Tsumiki said happily. Megumi’s eyes were sparkling with excitement as well. I gasped happily.

“Really that sounds like so much fun!” I replied and Megumi clapped.

“Parents are allowed to come to. Daddy said he’s going to go trick or treating with us too!” he said pointing happily at his father. Toji grinned placing his large hand over the boy’s head.

“We’re going to get lots of candy!” he said with excitement which made the children squeal in delight. Tsumiki looked at me with curious eyes, yet her smile remained on her face.

“Bee are you going to come too?” she asked. Now I was stumbling over my words, not expecting to be asked.

“I- uhhhh?” I replied looking at Toji who gave me a quirky look.

“Well of course she’s going! She can’t miss out on candy! We’ll bring pillowcases to carry them all!” he said, and the kids clapped happily.

“Yay!” they cheered.

“Alright go put your stuff away and wash up. Dinner will be ready shortly.” Toji announced. The children smiled at me and gave me quick hugs before jumping off me and running to their room. I smiled and stood giving Toji a warm pat to his chest before heading into the kitchen to get dinner started. I was growing hungry, and I should have gotten food started earlier but I was too deep into my phone.

“I’m thinking of making some curried chicken, with rice and vegetables.” I replied.

“Sounds good.” Toji replied lazily following behind me and leaning his hip against the bar. “That wasn’t weird, was it?”

I turned to look at him confused.

“What?” I asked as I pulled some chicken thighs out of the fridge. Luckily, I had them thawed. He motioned his head toward the children’s room.

“Me telling the children that you were going trick-or-treating with us at the school.” he said. I shook my head.

“It wasn’t weird. I guess I wasn’t expecting to be asked honestly. I don’t really know how the kids see me in that regard, and I never want them to feel like they have to see me as a parental figure if they’re not comfortable yet. Who knows their mothers may one day come back into their lives.” I replied, leaning down to open the lower cabinet to remove a pot.

However, when I leaned back up, I felt my back hitting Toji’s firm chest. I feel his hands gently resting on my shoulders. They were calloused and dry and I often wondered how many lives he’s taken with those hands. But it was not something I would dwell on because it had nothing to do with the universal balance that was between, he and I right now.

“Trust me, either kid’s moms aren’t going to come back int the picture. Tsumiki’s mom abandoned her and Megumi’s mom… died” he said lowly. I never knew that, and I turned to him with a sympathetic smile seeing a pain already in his eyes. I touched his cheek.

“We don’t have to go down that road.” I said softly and his eyes softened on me, and he nodded.

“Those kids see you as someone who provides safety and love and protection to them. They've admitted to me that they see you as their mother. They will always cherish you as do I. I’m sure they were planning to cry and throw tantrums had you had said no.” he teased, and I chuckled some, although deep down I felt a sense of happiness that the bond we shared together was a bond of love. I was honored that they saw me as a mom.

“You think so?” I asked. He nodded.

“Oh I know so!” he said. I could hear the pitter patter of feet approaching and we turned to see the children holding up their Ipads.

“Daddy I want to be Wednesday Addams and Megumi wants to be Pugsley!” she gushes showing me a picture of the two dark and gloomy children.

“From the Addams Family!” Megumi gushed. Toji and I looked at the iPads for a moment a bit shocked before looking at each other. He smiled wickedly at me.

“Cara Mia.” he purred, his eyes asking me “will you be my Morticia?” Only if he’ll be my Gomez. I hummed softly caressing his face further.

“Mon cher.” I purred before looking at the two children whose faces scrunched up at the affection they saw. “The Addams Family it is!”

“But it has to be perfect! We need the best costumes and everything!” Tsumiki replied. I smirked and nodded.

“I think I can make that happen.” I replied before reaching into my pocket and pulling out my phone. I began to dial a number.

“Who are you calling?” Toji asked curiously.

“A makeup artist friend.” I replied before placing my phone to my ear.

“Speak!” the flamboyant tone demanded. Very few had this man’s number, so if you had it, it meant you were of some importance.

“Spike it’s Bee… I have a Halloween project for you. You down?” I asked and I was met with a high-pitched squeal in response.

Friday – Thirty minutes after school let’s out.

The halls were decorated with Halloween decorations, large spider webs with dazzling black spiders were on the ceiling, bats and beetles and witches hung from the ceiling. One classroom had fog creeping out and a teacher who looked like a witch shrieking happily as she handed out candy to the kids.

The children walked happily ahead of us, smiling happily at the excited and jealous gazes they got from their classmates and Toji and I walked behind them, arms linked to show we were a couple. Many people were staring, more so at me than at Toji.

My dress was tight, but not too uncomfortable, my make up flawless and perfect, my nails a beautiful rich red. The wig I wore shaped my face perfectly. Toji’s suit was created to fit his large frame, his hair was slick down and the mustache on his upper lip made him look very sexy. Tsumiki looked so cute in her Wednesday outfit, her pig tails perfect and even. Megumi looked so precious in his striped shirt and black shorts. We stopped at Tsumiki’s homeroom class. She ran in first and I could hear a woman’s voice.

“Hi Tsumiki! My you look so pretty! Did your brother and dad come with you?” she asked. The rest of us were rounding the class doorway.

“Yes, and my mom too!” she said with excitement. The woman dressed as a leprechaun looked at her confused before looking up.

“Your moth…er?” she asked as she looked at me and Toji together and then our arms linked. She began to stutter over her words, and I could imagine she’d be very confused. The school new Toji of course, but they had never met me. Her eyes suddenly popped

“Oh my god you’re Beatrice Love, daughter of Sivannah Love, creator of Love Make up and Handbags! I’ve seen you in magazines and on the news!” she gushed holding up her phone. I just smiled and gave a gentle nod.

“Guilty, but you may call me Bee.” I replied. Toji grinned watching the young woman’s face malfunction as she looked between me and Toji who just nodded.

“Yep, she and I are dating.” he only said.

“I can’t believe I’m teaching a celebrity’s child!” she squealed, and I blushed not wanting to take attention away from the kids. I was watching as Tsumiki and Megumi ran past us, pillowcases full of candy. Toji chuckled lowly at the scene.

“Time to go. See you around Mrs. Tanaka.” he said turning our bodies so that we could follow after the kids. I merely waved as we left the classroom. We followed behind the children watching them move into each class collecting candy. All the while Toji was eyeing me visibly.

“Great idea getting help on the costumes, mama.” he praised, and I smiled up at him.

“I figured this would be the icing on the cake for their Halloween.” I replied and he hummed leaning into me.

“How about tonight we do a little roleplay, because I am dying to fuck you in that dress.” he whispered, and I chuckled humming some.

“I can’t wait.” I replied and he smiled and kissed me passionately before we moved off to follow behind the children who’s candy bags were dragging on the ground from being so heavy. Megumi however ran up to me.

"Bee, Bee will you come with me so all my teachers can meet you!" he asked happily. I was stunned by the request, but smiled nonetheless nodding.

"Of course!" I replied. He held his small hand out to me, and I looked at Toji gushing with excitement before moving to take the small boys hand and I let him lead me down the hall with nothing but excitement on his face.

gege it’s on sight (i am in mourning)

spoilers and small rant / maybe analysis if you squint real hard below

but on genuinely what is he doing with the plot?? i get that he doesn’t likes some of the characters but i can name about five max that are still alive. it’s almost sad how the plot has just… gone? it was one of the three anime that i actually still enjoyed after 2022 and now it just feels boring. all the characters are dying, and if any of them had a vaguely meaningful death, its just ignored, like yuki dying so choso could live (choso did not live)

tbh i could be saying this because he was one of my fav characters but the never ending cycle of fighting sukuna and then dying has gotten to the point where i’m wondering if gege is going through every character he ever made and trying to kill them off until yuji either defeats him (but there’s no one else left anyway so what does it matter) or yuji dies (which makes the entire series a little bit pointless since the message would be ‘characters are weak and become strong, some characters are naturally strong. sadly they all die in the face of this old guy, boo hoo’). this approach would also make sukuna undefeatable, which makes me question how he got sealed int he first place

it also makes me question whether it’s just easier than writing a meaningful ending, not necessarily happy. aot had a happy but bittersweet ending that was actually meaningful and represented how far the characters had come in the story. instead of just getting them sliced in half to traumatise yuji.

i didn’t realise this would become a rant, but i’d also like to add that i actually dropped jjk just after sukuna made megumi his vessel (not for these reasons but because i had other things to do) so i get most of the spoilers from social media. some stuff might be wrong or i might have missed chapters that prove what i said wrong. if this is the case please tell me since this is one of the few animes that i liked enough to buy the manga, and i’d like to be proved wrong about this!! xx

ok op agreed HOWEVER two things:

ONE, I think jujutsu society is very well integrated into normal society, and it often used in fairly insidious ways. hiding an entire extra species from all of humanity is not actually a very aboveboard thing to do. Like we can all agree on that right? esp when its causing massive amounts of death? if that happened with a virus or something in a country and their government just Never Told Their People that would be bad. That's bad.

So with the Fushiguros I dont know that the govt or it being 'illegal' COULD really have stopped what was happening. If police investigates, officers would have gotten paid off/been fired, etc. Orders from the top, shut your mouth or lose your job. What are you gonna do? They're not even supposed to know about this stuff.

There's a lot of powerful and rich people in the jujutsu world and they can and WILL crush you. Not even necessarily for the greater good. Just so that things will keep on going the way they always have been, because that's the system, and to them, it works.

TWO, I dont think megumi's well-being was of no priority to gojo at all I think hes just maddeningly good at compartmentalization which for him is a skill that is absolutely necessary. it is for any corcerer but him especially and clan kids especially. they dont have a choice so better figure out how to make your peace with it now before you get your feelings hurt about it and end up dead or like toji.

whether he could save megumi or not was not something he had the luzury to be thinking of int a practical sense when thousands of people- sorcerers and ordinary humans- were in danger of being massacred by Sukuna should the fancy strike him Also Kanjaku's plans were still in high gear and they needed that to Stop Now because it was going nowhere good, and fast.

so he has to defeat sukuna anyways for at least three reasons. he doesnt have time to be sentimental about the kid he helped and taught (and 'raised like a treasure' in Maki's words, partially to be used as a weapon and instrument of change, yes, but he was pretty much clear about that from the beginning and never acted in a way contrary to that) and if he DID have any fondness for him that needed to go in The Box ASAP.

so i think youre right on some level and im not here to fight with you BUT i also think that there can be nuances to the character at the same time. hes selfish and progressive but i dont think hes usually manipulative in an ill intentioned way.

also he doesnt exactly keep it a secret when he is being manipulatve so im not sure the term holds its meaning anymore cause like, if anyone asked him about his plans for jujutsu society that he even moderately trusted he'd spout off until they told him to shut it.

also yeah his empathy is like rock bottom lol. tho i think he does get better after suguru leaves probably cause hes always wondering what he missed and how and why and unconciously starts looking for it in other ppl.

Gojo’s character flaw isn't that being the strongest makes him lonely. His flaws is he thinks that being the strongest makes him exist in a category above all other human beings, and therefore he doesn't have to bother trying to empathize with them. He describes everyone else as plants, they're not even animals, they're unthinking plants.

It's a flaw that shows in all of his behavior. He throws his weight around, bullies people to get what he wants, generally doesn't respect other people's autonomy. Gojo is actually pretty manipulative guys, he just happens to have very progressive ideals at the same time.

Literally, everything he did to Megumi. Gojo had the option of putting Megumi into foster care, because hey guess what human trafficking is illegal the Zen'in had no real claim on him. Making an eight year old work to earn room and board by selling away his future is bad actually, it's bad.

Megumi's mental health and well-being is like a tertiary priority to Gojo at best. He literally says out loud to Sukuna he feels no qualms about beating Megumi up. He literally said that. The whole fight he cared more about having a fun fight with Sukuna then the issue of saving Megumi.

Anyway all of this is good because if Gojo were a traditional good mentor he would be boring.
