i reblogged that post about religious characters because i thought i had more to offer but the only two that immediately came to mind were bats and loreleaf. which is. insane to me. two of my least similar characters are the ones who are full-on in the paint lost in the sauce on their god. and the thing is that they both are convinced that their god wants them dead personally. hey @ me, are you like, okay.

#the answer to that is clear and obvious and does not need to be stated #but it is so funny to me............bats the interstellar petty thief with so much energy for art and food and adventures and Lying #and loreleaf the treeboy who can't lie because he'd rather not talk at all and is a nervous little ball of self-hatred when he does #shaking hands over being like 'well if i could just let my god whom i love and fear kill me themselves. that would fix me'#i'm not sure if bats loves his god tho. i think that's mostly just like. a ghastly suicidal duty he feels he needs to perform.#loreleaf does love wayana. so much. and wayana loves him but it's. not in the way loreleaf wants it #MEANWHILE IN ANOTHER PART OF TOWN: doli lin and saba are giving the gods double middle fingers #char: loreleaf #char: bats
