i had my first competitive grant approved today and i am so happy and excited about what that means for the community i work for!
#personal#it’s money to buy wonder books (kids’ books that have audio attached to them) and supplies for a program to promote them#this library has a bare bones budget and being able to offer this thing that typically only larger and wealthier libraries can do?#means so much#that’s government funds actually investing in equity baby!!

#I'd rather not clutter the caption so I'll ramble a little in the tags#HitW is short but special to me as it represents and encapsulates some hard life experiences I was going through at the time of its creatio#Ofc in a more metaphorical manner! but. Sun is always the calm one. While the Moon has more fps, always moves and wants to gnaw on walls, pace around and destroy timelines, the Sun is the one who prevents the chaos, usually by doing nothing. Or at least that's how I see them.
