(K)Not Tonight by Fizzysodapopp - (Rating: Explicit, Words: 4,965, sterek)
❗️HEED THE TAGS, my lovely people! They are there or a reason and I do not have the intention to make anyone feel uncomfortable reading this.
Stiles had the very clever idea to go to his favourite place while in heat and during a full moon on top of that, his brain clearly having melted into a useless puddle.
He had never picked up the scent of another person, werewolf or human, here after all, so why should he start to worry now? Until he did pick up another scent after all. Everything went downhill from there.
The bites that changed everything by eruwenvalaeess - (Rating: Explicit, sterek)
Stiles was bitten a few days ago and now he's feeling hot, too hot. Neither him nor Lydia know what to do, but she can think of one person who may know: Derek.
Learn Your Place by orphan_account - (Rating: Mature, Words: 2,424, sterek)
A new student named Damon into town and tries to find his way into Stiles’ pants. Derek doesn’t like that.
Our Little Secret by lilmissdaydreamer - (Rating: Explicit, Words: 1,527, sterek)
The thing about Stiles and Derek’s relationship is that, while it’s still new and exciting, they’ve also been building up to this for a very long time. The two of them have been dancing around each other forever and honestly, the honeymoon phase is probably going to last at least triple the amount of time it took the two of them to pull their heads out of their asses. So they’ve taken to fucking just about any and everywhere as a way to “make up for lost time”. The only catch being: don’t get caught.
Yet, Derek seems hellbent on getting them caught in the act.
Let It Burn Fast by RurouniHime - (Rating: Explicit, Words: 32,562, sterek)
“So.” Stiles rubs his thighs, snaps his fingers again restlessly and looks around. “Thoughts? Comments? Revisions you’d like to submit for consideration?”
Derek weighs it. “Stiles, are you asking me to have sex with you for the good of the pack?”
“I—yeah.” Stiles blinks a couple times, then smiles again. “Yeah, I guess I am. That is the thing that I am doing.”
(or, the one where Stiles proposes no-strings-attached sex for Magical Reasons and Derek somewhat unwisely agrees.)
Finding His Home by OKDeanna - (Rating: Explicit, Words: 11,708, sterek)
Derek Hale was a lot of things, and none of them very good. Yet, the one thing he couldn't shake was the one thing he knew he shouldn't want. But when an unexpected late night call reveals Stiles Stilinski has been injured, he will stop at nothing to get to him. Even if it means opening himself up in ways he never has before...
Somewhere Between Then and Now by OKDeanna - (Rating: Mature, Words: 3,008, sterek)
Derek finds himself in an unexpected position when Stiles turns up to confront him about his most recent lack of communication with the teen.
The Offer That Changed It All by OKDeanna - (Rating: Not Rated, Words: 1,453, sterek)
Derek had known he was attracted to Stiles for a while, but it took someone else's interest in Stiles to make him realize just how much he wanted the teen for himself…
Is This Seat Taken? Only By My Delusions by SylvieW - (Rating: T, Words: 6,726, sterek)
An unknown werewolf and his mate move to Beacon Hills and the McCall pack isn’t sure what to expect from them. They discover that while Derek isn’t a problem, Stiles might be.
Beginnings I by sffan - (Rating: T, Words: 1,344, sterek)
Derek gets hurt protecting Stiles. Then there are feelings. And a kiss.

Halloween Hijinx
(A day late, but not a dollar short lol. Meant to get this up on Halloween. I also did a few stylistic things. I would love feedback)
Summary: A hungry mummy Scott McCall eats Derek Hale.
Scott's phone was buzzing. And buzzing. And buzzing. All from the same person, Stiles. The texts read as the following.
Stiles: hey where are you
Stiles: Scott call me back
Stiles: Scott, have you seen Derek?
Stiles: seriously dude, come on, answer me.
Stiles: dude I could totally be dead right now.
Stiles: I died
Stiles: Scottttttttttttttt
All of those and the multiple calls went ignored. Scott was in the middle of something important. He was currently eating Derek Hale as a Halloween snack.
It all started about an hour ago. Scott asked Derek to help him out with his costume. Scott decided that he was going to be funny this year and go as a mummy. Complete with the toilet paper wrapped around his body. Derek, forever the grump, wasn't going as anything this year. But he was going to be a good friend to Scott and help him out.
Derek moaned at Scott getting undressed, but Scott was body positive. Derek rolled his eyes at the True Alpha’s mentality and began to help him out, starting with his legs and feet. There was just one small underlying problem that would eventually jump its way back to the present.
Scott hadn't eaten all day.
Between lacrosse practice and work immediately after, Scott was lucky he was even getting to go to this party that he was putting this costume on for. He didn't have time to eat at all. He just justified it by telling himself that he was going to eat when he got to the party. No big deal, he just needed to sit long enough to be wrapped in toilet paper.
Scott underestimated his hunger. His stomach was doing whale calls throughout this entire process. Derek making multiple comments on it as he bandaged up Scott's thighs and eventually his waist. Scott bit his lip and tried to ignore his hunger pains. “Just a little while longer.” He told himself.
It was when Scott's arms were being bandaged that Scott got desperate. Derek was adamant about not moving until it was done and Scott's werewolf hunger was getting the best of him. Scott did his best to just relax and not be so antsy, but he couldn't help it. Especially when he locked eyes onto Derek.
(Derek Hale)
It was no secret that Derek was a beefcake of the highest magnitude. Big arms, big chest, big everything. Practically packed with protein. Scott didn't even realize that he was drooling until Derek told him that it was falling onto his chest. Scott had begun to rationalize if he could actually eat Derek. It had to be, Scott had big meals before, Derek shouldn't be too hard. And after wrestling with the idea for long enough, Scott finally felt his hunger boil over.
The second that Derek took his hands off of Scott, the true Alpha pounced. Suddenly the older wolf was pushed to the floor. Derek tried to fight off the mummy Alpha werewolf, but it was no use. Derek was no match for Scott's strength and his hunger. Any attempt to reason with Scott went into one ear and out the other. Then before Derek could shout, his face was stuffed onto Scott's tongue. Scott is more than surprised by the taste, happily gulps more of that yummy stud down.
Scott's neck bulges as he swallows Derek's neck. Derek's big boulder shoulders are no issue. Scott rips the t-shirt that he was wearing to ribbons. He didn't want anything obstructing Derek's meat. He squeezes the shoulders together into his mouth and swallows. Scott had pinned Derek's beefy arms to his side. Scott's mouth was almost stretched to its limits. The drool coming out of his mouth was overflowing.
Scott horked down more of that beefy stud desperately. He needed to have this meal in his belly yesterday. Derek's beefy chest and nipples are quickly tasted before Scott tips his head back to get them down his throat. Scott then slides those abs across his tongue and counts those hairy bumps of muscle. He was grateful that Derek was such Adonis and could provide him with a hearty meal.
Scott uses his claws to take off Derek's jeans to get access to gorgeous rump and his cock. Scott collects Derek's cock into his mouth and begins to play with it. With most of him down, there wasn't much that Derek could do to stop him. Derek's frantic motions had turned to lustful wiggles. Derek briefly forgot that Scott was eating him and was more focused on getting himself off. Scott felt his own sizable cock getting hard and pushing through the toilet paper. He began to jerk himself while jerking off Derek. The larger wolf moaned at the bottom of Scott's throat until eventually he couldn't take it anymore. He blew his load all over and in Scott's mouth. The alpha drinks it all down and sends it to splatter over Derek's top half. A little bit dribbles out of Scott's mouth and falls down onto his own cock. Amused by getting his prey off, Scott continues his meal.
Derek was too exhausted now to resist meaningfully. His legs were limp as Scott slurped them up like noodles. Scott had begun to lose layer after layer of the toilet paper because of his stomach bulging. The more that Scott filled up with Derek, the less toilet paper he had. Scott lost his abs and soon gained a Derek sized bulge. Before too long, the only thing that was left was Derek's large feet. With a couple of slothful bites, they soon are completely swallowed up behind Scott's jaws. Then with a single gulp, Scott sends the rest of Derek's legs to join his gut.
Most of Scott's tan belly was revealed now with just a few sashes of the toilet paper left. Underneath was the engorged belly and Derek Hale bulging from within. Scott sighs contently as he rubs over Derek's form. His hunger had finally been sated and with such a big meal too. Scott licks his lips to remind himself of Derek's flavor. With that heavy weight in his belly, Scott lays out on the floor with his arms and legs spread.
Scott looks over to see the texts that Stiles had been sending him. Scott chuckles as he just clicks it off for now and steadily rubs over the other werewolf trapped inside of his belly covered in his own cum. Scott's own cock still hard regains his attention. He quickly grabs a hold of the lengthy member with both hands and begins to jack off again on his overstuffed belly. It doesn't take long for Derek to get active once again inside of Scott's belly. Apparently he wasn't too happy with being a device to get Scott off. Scott chuckles as he uses one hand to taunt Derek by patting his head. Scott grunts and moans as he gets close, eventually he releases his own load all over his hand, belly, and the toilet paper. Just as he does so, Scott unleashes a huge burp that shakes his room.
The alpha werewolf smiles contently as he looks at cum covered belly. Derek was still moving slightly but he was exhausted at this point. Scott grabs his neglected phone and finally responds to Stiles.
Scott: Hey Stiles, Derek and I are going to be a little late. I had to go for a snack. What do you think? ;)
Scott snaps a picture of his belly and sends it as an attachment. The younger wolf looks down at his belly again and smiles. He continues to give his gut pats and rubs reminding the big beefcake werewolf of what he was.
Food for a true Alpha Werewolf.

The Matchmaking Alpha (or Two Dumb Love Birds Attack) by NathTE
(1/? I 300 I Teen)
Scott was tired of seeing Stiles and Derek dancing around each other, which made it even more frustrating as he was the one both chose to come to talk about the other.
So, he decided he was going to help them realize, that their supposedly unrequited love, wasn’t that unrequited anyway.
Come Over Here And Make Me by tabbytabbytabby

Stiles and Derek get stuck together when Scott and Mason team up and find a way to keep them trapped at Derek's. It works out better than they expected.
For the prompts: “Looks like we’re gonna be stuck here for a while.” and “Come over here and make me.”

Derek is a coffee snob looking for some good coffee, but what he finds is bad coffee jokes and maybe a whole lot more.
ones you never expected by Marishna
(1/1 I 3,832 I Mature)
A few seconds later Stiles and Derek heard the elevator start its laborious descent to the ground floor.
Stiles kept his head buried in one of the new books he picked up, scanning the passages for any keyword or phrasing that sounded similar to what their allied San Bernadino pack friends were dealing with. Finally, after three long, drawn-out minutes, Derek dropped his pen to the table and pushed back from it.
“They’re gone,” he told Stiles who stuck a piece of paper between the pages to mark his place and shut his book.
“About time! Now, strip,” he ordered.
How To Get Your Idiot Friends Together: A Four Step Process by Scott McCall by reptilianraven
(1/1 I 4,344 I General)
"He laughs at your jokes, man. How blind can you be?"
Stiles makes this face like he ate a lemon or something. "Are we talking about the same guy here? Because Derek Hale has never once laughed at my jokes."
"No, he does the thing where he exhales quickly through his nose. Like when you see something funny on the internet." Scott says and oh my god. "Stiles he thinks you're funny like how things on the internet are funny. I don't get why I have to explain this to you!"

In which Scott plays matchmaker because he'd probably go insane if these two idiots can't get their fucking act together.
[slide] by sonic_counselor
(1/1 I 16,506 I Mature)
He’s worked at the movie theater for just over a year now and it’s probably the best job he’s ever had, although that’s not entirely a fair comparison when the only other jobs he’s ever had involved raking leaves for Mrs. Huckabee next door and doing some filing for his dad at the station.
He’s also had a crush on Derek for just over a year, ever since his first day at the theater when their overbearing and probably certifiably insane general manager, Bobby Finstock, had declared he didn’t have time to do Stiles’ induction and had palmed him off on Derek instead because he happened to be walking past the office.
# #
Working at the movie theater alongside his crush is all getting a little too much for Stiles. It's just as well Scott, and his terrible matchmaking plans, are on hand to help out.

“Shoot! Y/n/n were gonna be late! Come on.” Maila shouted after seeing the time on Stiles' watch. She jumped up grabbing her bag and y/n’s wrist, pulling her along with her to the class they were gonna be late for.
“Wait-” Stiles called after them but they were already to far away to hear him. “Maila’s sure in a rush. Y/n forgot her sketchbook.”
“Shit. She’s gonna freak. I’ll make sure she gets it.” Scott picks it up. He could tell that a lot of the pages had been used up just by looking at the sides. Throughout the day he hadn’t been able to find his sister to give it back to her, but his will also broke when he couldn’t take it anymore and peaked. But what he found made him keep looking and the more he looked the more concerned he got. The more he realized he hadn't been a good brother.
Later that day after school once Y/n came home she entered their home and sat down in the kitchen where her mom was getting ready to leave for work.
“What's wrong, sweetheart?” Melissa asked upon looking at her daughter and seeing her mood.
“I lost my sketch book at school.” Y/n whined as she rested her head on her folded arms. Not at all happy that anyone could just look in it.
“I’m sure you’ll find it at school tomorrow. Go to the Office tomorrow and see if they found it. “ Melissa suggested hoping that it would help. Y/n was very attached to it so she was sure her daughter was very stressed.
“Yeah.” Y/n grunted that's all she could do.
“I’ll see you and your brother tomorrow.” she told her as she walked over kissing Y/n on the head before leaving to start her long night shift.
“Bye mom.” Y/n could out as her mom shut the door.
With that Y/n decided to grab a snack and headed up stairs to her room. She was alone in there for a while doing homework before Scott came knocking on her bedroom door leaning against the door jam.
“Hey.” he said once, getting her attention. “Found this today. You left it at lunch.”
Y/n looked up and noticed he was holding her missing sketch book. “Thanks. I was worried someone took it.” She replied as she entered her room and handed it to her.
There was a moment of silence before Scott spoke. Trying to figure out what exactly he wanted to say. “Y/n.”
“Hmmm” Y/n hummed not looking up at him.
“I know we’ve been busy the last couple years with all the supernatural stuff-”
“You looked in it didn’t you.” Y/n cut him off, holding her sketchbook tightly to her chest.
“Yeah.” Scott nodded, admitting shamefully. “Y/n, you can talk to me. About anything and everything, at any time. You know that right?”
Y/n shrugged. “We’ve just been so busy and you’ve been dealing with Alpha stuff-”
Scott shook her head as he moved to sit on Y/n’s bed next to her. “I’ve been a terrible brother and I’m sorry. Can we promise we’ll talk more when somethings bothering us?”
Y/n smiled, it was weak but it was enough to encourage Scott. So he pulled her into him, hugging her. Something they hadn’t done in a long time it seemed.
“Yeah, I think I can do that.”

I'm Not Afraid | Chapter 19
Word Count: 3.6K
Story Description: (Y/N) Argent arrived at Beacon Hills to put to rest her father’s sister, Kate Argent. For the first time, her family has decided to settle down and sustain a life in this interesting small town. After 17 years, (Y/N) has the opportunity to establish interpersonal relationships but will she be ready to face the complications that come with relating to her cousin’s, Allison, friends; especially, the infamous Derek Hale. She will face the adventure of being associated with the Derek and McCall pack, as well as being faced with the discovery of certain aspects of her life she never imagined.
A/N: heheheheehehe 🤭🤭
<- Previous | Next ->
By the time Stiles and (Y/N) had driven back to the school, classes were over, and students flooded the parking lot as they made their way to their cars. The pair parted ways with a promise to ditch school again one day. Stiles disappeared back into the school, and (Y/N) waited for Isaac to come out of hiding, which she had done for the past week. Yet, time passed, and there was no sign of the blond boy. He’d taken to appear while the crowd was heavy in order to conceal himself, but the parking lot emptied, and he didn’t come out.
Dread washed over her as she pulled out her phone to call him, worry swimming through her veins as the call was sent to voicemail. All she could think of was the worst thing that could happen. Her family had finally caught him, and he was currently being tortured for answers, or worse, he was already dead.
Her vision blurred with tears as the thoughts flooded her mind, guilt gripping tightly around her throat. She had already begun to blame herself for Isaac’s supposed capture. If she hadn’t been his friend, they would never have been able to pin him. Once more, she had gotten too close to someone and had put their lives in danger. As hard as she had tried to protect him, she had failed.
She zoomed through the streets as she made her way home, praying to whatever was out there that Isaac was in her house and had, for some reason, forgotten to charge his phone. As much as she wanted to think positively, she had never been wired that way. (Y/N) had been taught to think of everything that could go wrong in a situation, no matter how unnecessary it could be. Her mind flooded with thoughts of losing the one person she had fully trusted for the first time in many years. She could hear him calling for help, pulling his weight in whatever fight had ensued, giving it his all until there was nothing left to give. But it all ended the same way. With Isaac either hurt or dead.
As soon as she arrived at her house, she dropped her bike on the grass like it had burned her, not caring if it smashed into pieces as it hit the ground. She knew her parents weren’t home. Not only was their car gone, but the family also had them occupied every second of the day. The girl had free range to turn the house over to find her friend.
“Isaac?!” she yelled, waiting for a response that never came. “Isaac, are you here?”
She ran to the basement, not even noticing when her dog had joined her side. Brody barked to catch her attention, but she was focused on her parents’ office. (Y/N) clicked through their computers, searching for any hint in their calendars, any clue in their messages, anything. But there wasn’t even a post-it note out of place. Everything they knew, she had known long before them.
But she couldn’t stop there. If her family had anything to do with Isaac, there would be no evidence. She had to confront them face-to-face and deal with the repercussions afterward. (Y/N) fished for the key of her parents’ weapons cabinet, arming herself with whatever she’d need to take down whoever stood in her way. Even if she got hurt, she would not go down without a fight. The Argents had gone long enough without paying for the things they had done, and it was about time they did.
As she strapped a rifle to her back, she heard a stumble on the floor above. Whoever had been sent to her home had caught the short stick that day. Red anger flowed through her veins as she walked silently up the basement stairs, a handgun tight in her grasp and her loyal dog slowly behind. Nearing the door, she removed the safety from the gun and braced herself.
“Woah, woah!” Isaac yelled as she burst through the door, a gun deadest on him. “It’s just me, (Y/N).”
(Y/N) ran toward the boy without a second thought and wrapped her arms around him tightly. He was there, unharmed, and staring at her like she had gone crazy. “Where were you?” she cried, tears burning her eyes and making their way down her cheeks. “Why didn’t you answer my calls?”
“My phone died,” he said, holding her tighter still. “What did you think happened? Where are you going with al this ammo.”
“You weren’t at school or answering the phone, and I thought my family… I didn’t know.”
“Were you about to light up your family to find me, (Y/N)?” he chuckled, cradling her face in his hands and wiping away her tears with his thumbs. “Are you crazy?”
“Maybe,” she laughed hoarsely. “I didn’t really have a plan in mind. I just couldn’t let them get away with hurting you.”
“Well, I can safely say, stand down, soldier,” he teased. “My phone died, and I was meeting with Erica and Boyd. I would have left you a note, but you left school before I did.”
“Yeah, well, I needed to cool off,” she sighed, taking off the gun she was wearing and dropping the rest of her weapons on the hallway table. “These past few weeks… I just needed a break, and Stiles happened to be there.”
“So, what? He’s your new best friend?” Isaac grumbled as he slouched onto the sofa. “What if something had happened while you were with him? At least at school, you’re kinda protected, but out there? Who knows?”
“You do know I can protect myself, right?” (Y/N) chuckled as she sat next to him. “I may not have supernatural strength or healing, or even claws, but guns and knives can also do the trick.”
“Those healing scratches on your face would beg to differ.”
“I’d like to see any of you guys pull your weight in a fight without all those abilities,” the girl teased. “I, at least, can’t be paralyzed by the Kanima. So, I think I can protect myself good enough.”
“Whatever,” he mumbled under his breath, crossing his arms over his chest and furrowing his brow in annoyance.
But she knew Stiles and her recklessness weren’t exactly what he was worried about. Behind his blue eyes, she could see something else was setting a dark cloud over him. There was worry that hung heavy on his shoulders and concerns that stole his sleep at night. Too many questions ran through the boy’s mind, and no one seemed to have given him the right one.
“Come on,” she said, bumping her shoulder against his. “Tell me what’s really going on.”
Isaac sighed deeply, resting his head on her lap like he had started to do when he needed comfort. “Boyd and Erica are leaving,” he responded. “With everything that’s going on, I don’t blame them. Not having anyone while we’re being chased to our deaths… it’s a suicide mission. Leaving might just be the only choice.”
“Is that what you think? That you’re alone in this?’
“(Y/N), you know I can’t stay here forever,” Isaac reminded her. “We’re lucky I haven’t been caught so far, but your parents are gonna notice sooner or later. I don’t want to put you in a position where you’d have to go against them like you were planning on doing today.”
“Why not, Isaac? I can talk to my dad, and we can find a way to keep you safe. Hell, we could keep Erica and Boyd safe, too. With Allison looking for you guys, it’s not smart to be out in the open by yourselves. I’m sure that with his help…”
“I can’t keep putting you in this position,” he exclaimed. As he sat up, (Y/N)noticed the tears that reddened his eyes. She could tell he was terrified. He had no home, no pack, and an alpha that seemed more lost than he was. The only thing he was sure of was that staying with his best friend made him a sitting duck and a perfect target for her family. “You know, there was a time when I thought my biggest problem would be my father. I never thought that the one thing that got me away from him was the thing that put me in the most danger. “You’ve done more than you can imagine, (Y/N),” he smiled sadly. “But I can’t keep putting you in danger like this. The best thing I can do for all of us is go.”
(Y/N) was quick to wrap the boy in a hug as matching tears fell from her eyes. “I can’t lose you, Isaac,” she said. “We’ll figure this out. Just… you can’t go.”
“There’s nothing else I can do,” he replied softly. “Not that I can think of anyway.”
“Please stay,” she mumbled against his chest. Her voice came out weak and exhausted as she was no longer able to be strong. It had taken (Y/N) so long to find someone she could confidently call her friend finally, and in a matter of months, she was going to lose him. She felt as though the universe was telling her that she wasn’t made for relationships. “I need you, Isaac.”
The pair stayed in each other’s arms as they calmed, unsure what direction they’d be taking next. Isaac hadn’t had someone care about him as strongly as (Y/N) did in a long time. He had forgotten love and care could come from a soft touch and not the hard slap of a punishment. She had reminded him that life wasn’t that scary when there was someone by your side, especially someone that was willing to go against her family in order to keep him safe. The last thing Isaac wanted was to lose her—much less leave her with her while danger still lurked through every corner—but staying only made things worse for her. He knew, no matter how hard, the best decision was to go.
“I’ll talk to Scott tomorrow,” he whispered instead. “Maybe he’ll have an idea of what I could do.”
“Alright,” she sighed against him. “Just be careful, okay? I don’t know what’s going on with him and Gerard, but he seems to always want to do the right thing.”
“I will,” he promised. “But why don’t we go to sleep now? I have a feeling tomorrow is gonna be a very long day.”
Isaac couldn’t seem to catch sleep at all. He watched as (Y/N) tossed and turned next to him, her own nightmares keeping her stuck in dreamland while his kept him wide-eyed.
Before her, he didn’t care to stay in Beacon Hills—hell, he didn’t care if he lived or died. After his brother died and his father’s temper took a turn for the worse, there wasn’t much that tied him to the town. He wasn’t particularly good at school; without his supernatural strength and speed, he wasn’t that good at sports either. Now, his father was dead as well, and he had no home to call his own. Isaac was the perfect candidate for a runaway. Even if he was gone, the town would continue on as if nothing had happened.
Night turned to morning as Isaac tried to succumb to his tiredness, time somehow speeding when all he wanted was for it to stop. (Y/N) was still dead asleep, her arm wrapped around Brody as they both snored softly. If there was anyone that cared about what happened to him, it was her. And she was the only person in the town he truly wanted to protect.
Before she could wake, the boy slipped a t-shirt over his sweatshirt and jumped out the window with his backpack on his back. He still wasn’t sure what he was going to do, but if he decided to leave, a clean break was the best way to do it. Isaac knew if he told (Y/N) he was possibly leaving, she’d find a way to make him stay. Or, even worse, try to go with him. He had to make a choice by that night, even if it hurt.
He knew Scott would be in his usual shift at the vet’s office, and it was a good time as any to pick at his brain about the situation. The door was unlocked when he got there, and he let himself in, flinching as the dogs quickly started barking the second he was inside.
When Deaton and Scott walked around the corner, he was sure they would throw him out. He hadn’t proven to be a good person, much less an ally, and he could understand if they wanted him gone. Instead, the doctor welcomed him warmly, allowing him to join them in the exam room, where the foulest odor reached his nose.
Laying on the stainless-steel table was a small white dog, weakened by whatever sickened it and the very source of the smell. The poor animal whimpered as Deaton injected something into it, and try as he might, Isaac couldn’t help but grimace at the odor. “Why does it smell like that?”
The colleagues looked at each other with knowing smiles before Deaton said, “Scott said almost the same thing to me a few months ago. One day, he could somehow tell the difference between which animals were getting better and which… were not.”
“He’s not getting better, is he?” Isaac questioned, a sudden wave of sadness rushing through him as the doctor confirmed his suspicions. “Like cancer.”
Sickness had a very distinct smell, Isaac learned. It was bitter and musty, almost like smelling a batch of fruit that had been left to ferment for months. The scent gripped his nose, painting the walls of his nostrils with a sample of what came next. Death. And all he wanted to do was to save the poor mutt from it.
“I know you’re well aware of what your new abilities can do for you,” Deaton said after calling the boy closer. “Improved strength, speed, and healing. You ever wonder what it could do for others?”
The vet guided Isaac’s hand onto the dog, pressing it firmly against his skin. Suddenly, black rushed through his veins, crackling under the pressure of whatever was filling his body. “What did I do?” he asked in surprise, feeling as the ooze sank into him.
“You took some of his pain away,” Scott smiled. It was an overwhelming sensation for him. Even if it had been only a little, like Deaton said, it had done a lot for the small pup. Tears welled in the corners of his eyes, and he wanted nothing more than to be able to take more. “It’s okay. First time he showed me, I cried, too.”
But they were tears of joy. Tears of accomplishment. Derek had only been teaching the pack how to be defensive, how to protect themselves and people around them from whatever dangers lurked in the shadows. Yet, there was a world of knowledge waiting for him, and Derek didn’t seem to want to show it to him. At least not while the Kanima was around.
Deaton left then to place the dog back in his kennel, and Isaac found it to be the perfect time to talk to Scott. “They’re leaving tonight,” he said as Scott cleaned. “After the game.”
“So, why are you telling me?”
“I’m not telling you. I’m asking you,” Isaac responded. “I’m asking for your advice.”
“From me?” Scott asked, dumbfounded. “Why?”
“Because I trust you, and so does (Y/N),” he admitted. “She said you always seem to want to do the right thing, and I agree with her.”
“I usually have no idea what I’m doing,” Scott shrugged. “Actually, I never have an idea of what I’m doing.”
“Well, do you want to let me know what you’re doing now?”
“I’m not going anywhere if that’s what you mean. I have too many people here who need me.”
And those were the words that struck the deepest chord in Isaac. “I guess that makes me lucky ‘cause…” he chuckled sadly. “‘Cause I only have one person, and I’m doing her more harm than good by staying.”
As he stood to leave, Scott stopped him. “Are you gonna go with them?”
“Yeah,” was all he could think to answer. “Yeah, I think I will. Good luck with the game, though.”
“Well, thanks, but I’m not going either. Can’t think about playing some meaningless game right now.”
“You weren’t at practice last week, were you?” Isaac questioned. “And you didn’t hear? Jackson was there as if nothing had happened.”
“That means… the game tonight?”
“Yeah. He’s playing,” he said. “I thought someone would have told you by now.”
“Yeah, no. N-no one did,” he stammered. “You’re sure about this?”
“Mhm, it was one of the last practices I went to before (Y/N) told me Allison had grown the manhunt. It stopped being safe for me to be there. I’ve been hiding out at her place ever since.”
“Is that why you think you’re putting her in danger? Because she cares about you?”
“It’s not what I think, Scott,” he sighed. “It’s what I know. I mean, you have to know what it’s like with Allison and everything. (Y/N) was ready to burst into her family’s house with guns because she thought they had taken me.”
“I don’t know what it’s like,” he answered meekly.
“What do you mean?”
“Allison, as much as she says she loves me, was quick to turn on me when she was lied to about her mom’s death. She’s never believed in us as strongly as (Y/N) has,” Scott admitted. “If there’s anyone you should stay for, it’s her.”
Scott’s words hung heavy in Isaac’s mind as he walked through town, not really sure where to go. Erica and Boyd were more than likely either at Derek’s old family home or already long gone. He couldn’t go to Derek, not when he had something—someone—more important. Being cared for may have been something Isaac had forgotten, but there was someone making sure he remembered it.
He waited until he was sure he wouldn’t be caught before jumping through the window he had left through some hours before, expecting to find the room empty. Instead, he found a frantic (Y/N), sending her phone flying in his direction and tears falling down her cheeks.
“Where the hell have you been?” she exclaimed, her words hoarse from the crying. “I’ve been calling you for hours!”
“Sorry,” he shrugged. “I turned off my phone.”
“I thought you were gone, Isaac,” she cried. “I thought you had taken your things and were never coming back.”
“To be honest, I thought I was,” he confessed weakly. “I really thought the best thing would be if I just left without a trace—that it’d be safer for you in the long run.”
“Are you crazy? I was worried sick that something had happened to you. If Allison…”
“None of that happened, okay?” Isaac said as he crossed the room toward her. He placed one hand on her arm and another on her cheek, stopping her body from shaking. “And I’ve decided to stay. I’m gonna fight this to the last consequence.”
(Y/N) looked up at him with teary eyes, relief finally washing over her as she confirmed that Isaac was there, that he was real. “You’re not alone, Isaac,” she said. “Neither are Erica nor Boyd. You just have to let people help. I know it’s a lot, and it’s scary, but you’re not alone.”
“I know that,” the boy smiled. “I know I have you on my side and that the best thing we can do is protect each other. I’m sorry it took me so long to understand that.”
“I thought you were gone for real this time,” (Y/N) confessed after a moment of silence. “I didn’t know what to do. I even almost called Derek.”
“He wouldn’t have done anything,” Isaac sighed. “He made himself clear. Once we left, we were on our own. After everything he’s told us, I don’t know what he’s thinking.”
“I think he’s just scared. Facing all of this while taking care of you guys cannot be an easy task,” she said. “I think he wants to protect everyone but doesn’t know how to. Just because he looks older doesn’t mean he is—he’s learning as he goes, just like us.”
Isaac chuckled softly as a warm smile tugged the corners of his mouth. “How can you still be so kind to him after he broke your heart?” he asked. “You should be cursing him out, not seeing his side of things.”
“I’d like to think he had a reason for what he did,” she responded, trying her best to hide her real hurt. “I’d like to think maybe one day things will get better.”
“You’re too kind for your own good,” he said. “You’re something else, (Y/N) Argent.
And for a second, for a split second, his eyes fluttered to her lips. His heart beat loudly against his chest and he felt the sudden urge to know what the pink of her skin tasted like. He wondered if she’d gasp at the suddenness. If perhaps she’d push him away or maybe even kiss him back. All he had to do was move a couple of inches toward her and he could lay his questions to rest.
“You should get ready for the game then,” (Y/N) said, breaking him out of thought as she jumped away from him, pulling out his jersey from her dresser. “If anything is gonna go down, it’s gonna start there. I can feel it.”
“Won’t your family know you’re there as a traitor? I mean, it’s not like you’ve been very active in their work.”
“They won’t kill me in public,” she said. “And if they try, they’ll have one hell of a fight coming for them.”

7 Days of Scarepairs: Sciles | Scott McCall x Stiles Stilinski (Teen Wolf) + “Grief”
Requested by @joanthangroff (TW mention of suicide attempt)
It was a long ride back from the motel. At least, it felt longer. Stiles' gaze burning holes in the side of his face wasn't making it go any faster, either. Scott could see his bouncing leg, hear his racing heart and smell the anxiety radiating off of him. Even if he were oblivious to all of that, he would still know something was wrong with him.
"Stiles," he said wearily, looking at him properly for the first time since Coach snatched his whistle back off of Lydia and told them to sit down. "Are you okay?"
"What? Oh, yeah. I'm fine. All good."
The way he glanced at him said otherwise. Scott raised his eyebrows pointedly and the leg bouncing stopped. Stiles ran a hand over his thigh and nodded jerkily as if reiterating that he was fine.
"Look, we're gonna figure this out, okay?" Scott assured him as best he could. "From what Ethan said, there's a good chance that Derek is alive. Once we get back to Beacon Hills, we can find him, and we can make a better plan. No one else is going to get hurt."
He just managed to bite back a promise. He knew he couldn't. He only hoped that it was the truth.
But Stiles stared at him like he could see right through him, his eyes narrowing. He parted his lips like he was going to retort, as he usually would, but instead, he just shook his head and turned to face the back of the seat in front of him. As he ran a hand over his face, Scott frowned.
"You're angry," he blurted out.
Stiles shook his head again and sighed. "No. No, Scotty, I'm not angry." His heart skipped but he acted like Scott couldn't hear it. "I'm just... I'm tired. Last night was..."
"I know," Scott said softly. His own heart skipped. "But the darach's not going to catch us by surprise like that again."
Stiles nodded, but he didn't say anything else. In fact, he didn't say anything else for the rest of the ride. Scott wanted to, but something stopped him. He took to staring out the window and letting his eyes unfocus as he repeated his plan to find Derek in his mind the whole way home.
*
The bus dropped them off at the school. Stiles insisted on driving Scott home, even though he had his bike. He didn't put up a fight - he just wanted to go home and see his mom before he did anything else. That phone call back at the motel had felt too real. He just needed to see her.
Of course, she was at work. Scott sighed when he found the note on the fridge, but he told himself not to overthink it. She was fine.
"Alright, well, I think we should go to Derek's loft first," he said, turning to Stiles who was lingering by the back door, his arms folded. "He'd most likely have gone back there to try and heal."
He frowned.
"Although, if the alpha pack are looking for him, that might be too obvious. Maybe we should try the animal clinic first. He could've gone to Deaton, right?"
He waited for Stiles to agree with him or suggest something he hadn't thought of because right then, all Scott had was a handful of guesses and maybes.
But Stiles didn't chime in. He shrugged when he realized Scott was looking at him.
"Stiles, are you sure you're okay?" he asked gently.
Stiles dragged a hand over his face and sighed again, his tongue in his cheek, and he could smell the irritation on him, just like when they were on the bus.
"You know what? No," he snapped, throwing his hand up. "No, Scott, I'm not okay, and, quite frankly, neither are you, and I don't get why we're just pretending that last night never happened. Because it did."
"Do you mean..." Scott couldn't quite get the words out, his throat closing up around them and forcing them back down. He shifted his feet, his gaze dropping to the ground for a moment. "The wolfsbane?"
"Yeah, I'm talking about the wolfsbane," Stiles said, his voice thick with emotion he was failing to contain. "More specifically, what the wolfsbane did to you, Scott."
Scott shook his head, his eyebrows drawing together as he tried to ignore the sick feeling weighing down on him. "It was just... you saw what it did to all of us. Ethan-"
"Tried to saw himself open, yeah," Stiles cut him off. "Probably something to do with his freakish ability to combine into one even more freakish mutation with Aiden. Isaac - he was hiding under his bed. Boyd and Lydia were hearing things. But you, Scott..."
He took a step toward him, and Scott watched his feet, observing every little detail of his shoes and the kitchen floor.
"Scott, you tried to kill yourself."
"It was just..."
"No. No, Scott, the wolfsbane brought out all of your biggest fears and just - just heightened your true emotions. Boyd's guilt about his sister, Isaac's fear of his dad, Lydia always being the one to find dead bodies. It wasn't the wolfsbane talking when you did that. Was it?"
Scott knew he had to give him an answer. He just didn't think either of them really wanted to hear it. The truth hung in the air between them, as suffocating as the gasoline that still clung to Scott's senses.
"It doesn't matter," he said quietly, then looked up to meet Stiles' disbelieving stare. "We need to find Derek. We can't waste any more time, we need-"
"Scott, stop! Can you even - you nearly died! Twice!"
"But I didn't-"
"Because someone stopped you! Allison literally had to sew you back together because you felt so guilty about Derek being dead that you were going to let yourself die, too! Scott, I had to talk you out of setting yourself on fire, how can you not - how do you not see how messed up that is?!"
"Stiles, I'm sorry about last night, okay? I shouldn't have... I should've fought the wolfsbane, or..."
Stiles just stared back at him, shaking his head incredulously. Finally, in a much softer voice, he said, "Scott, I don't want you to be sorry that I had to save you. I just... I just wanna know that you don't actually believe what you said last night."
It was a simple request. It would take just two words. And yet...
Scott opened his mouth. Then he shook his head and closed it again, looking away with a piercing pain where his healed wound was just yesterday.
"You have to admit that a lot of what we've gone through wouldn't have happened if I hadn't..."
"Hadn't what?" He looked back up to see the reason for the quiver in Stiles' voice; tears shone in his wide eyes. "Hadn't survived being bitten by Peter? That's what you meant, wasn't it?"
He tilted his head but he didn't get a chance to deny or confirm. Stiles already knew. He looked like he might crumble into a million pieces.
"Scott," he said, his voice cracking as he moved closer. "I don't care what's happened to us. I don't care about the murderous werewolves or - or the hunters, or any of the crazy supernatural things that keep happening around us, alright? Because we've survived it, but what I wouldn't have survived was losing my best friend."
Scott bit his tongue, his eyes stinging. Part of him wanted to point out all the bad things - the numerous times he's put his life in danger, the people who haven't survived the craziness of their world, and everything else.
Then Stiles really did crumble. "Scott, I meant what I said last night. And I can't lose you. I can't - you and my dad, you're all... you're all I've got, and I can't - Scotty, I can't lose you as well. I need you. And I know how selfish that is, but it's true. So, if you need a reason to - to believe that you should be alive, then there it is. Me, Scott. Make me your reason if you have to, or your mom, or even Allison, because I promise you that none of us would be better off if you weren't here."
"You'd be safe, at least."
He didn't mean to say it. It just slipped out.
"You don't know that," Stiles countered, then he shrugged. "And even if that was true - I don't care. Scott, I'd rather be in danger every day of my life from some supernatural threat than live without you."
He didn't know what to say to that. All he could do was surge forward and hug him. Stiles immediately wrapped his arms tight around him, as if he never intended to let go.
"I'm sorry," he repeated quietly into his shoulder.
"Just make me a promise, Scotty. Alright? Promise that you'll talk to me, so that, when you start blaming yourself for every bad thing that's ever happened, I can tell you what an idiot you are."
Scott chuckled and nodded. "I promise." Then, he softly added: "I mean it."
Stiles tightened his arms just a little more. Both of them savoured the feeling of the other against them. Solid. Real. Alive. Safe. For a moment, they were as physically intertwined as they were in every other way.
Scott knew they should look for Derek. They should come up with a plan to stop the darach. But he wasn't ready to let go of the first real feeling of comfort he'd felt in a while.
#teen wolf#sciles#scott mccall#stiles stilinski#scott x stiles#stiles x scott#7 days of scarepairs#myedit*#derek hale#because scott's grief over derek destroyed me and then there's the added layer of stiles thinking he was about to lose scott#so he's thinking about his mom as well#and there's just a lot of angsty things being felt in general#and also motel california was like the scariest episode for me#so I felt it was fitting to delve a little into it for halloween#and also can we talk about how crazy it is that no one mentioned what happened at the motel afterwards?#they were like 'oh. it was wolfsbane. checks out' then they just never talk about the implications of what happened#like isaac obviously has his trauma. that makes sense#boyd though. I wanted to talk more about his guilt over alicia going missing but then they fucking killed him in the next episode so!#and ethan with the saw thing?? even just a scene of him talking to like danny or SOMEONE about his feelings behind that whole thing#like it was because he feels like he and aiden are one being and he can never be free of him? was it just because they can combine?#or was it like him being worried about aiden being back in beacon hills without him?#but truly the one we do not talk enough about is scott#it is never mentioned again afterwards that he felt like everyone would be better off if he was dead and I just think that's crazy#because sure. wolfsbane. but it was still to an extent scott saying all of it#and we know from the previous episode that he felt so guilty about derek possibly being dead that he would rather DIE than live with that#which is also crazy and doesn't get talked about enough#I need to know if derek knows about that actually#has anyone written a fic about that?#rarepair rowboat#rowing the rarepair rowboat

Hellooo! i was wondering what your all-time favorite hurt/comfort fics are? also I love your account, I scrolled through not too long ago and immediately was like yes, I've found my people
*screams internally* oOH GOD, thank you for asking that, I've been waiting for someone to ask that and I'm so glad this is happening! OK.
From what I can see in your profile picture, do u like spn too? Do u have any favorite couples there? cause I have a long list of fics in that fandom too *wink wink*....
Please ask me questions to recommend fics, because I have been trying for weeks to organize a part 2 of rec list but I haven't been able to, I have too many fics and I have no idea how to start organizing them. So by asking questions like these you help me recommend some fics and get organized. thks u <3ily
Life's (Kate's) a bitch and then you (she) dies

While everyone is busy saving Jackson, Stiles is taking a beating in the Argent's basement. When his dad gets hurt, he leaves a note for Scott that he is getting away from everything and to never contact him again.
Too bad Scott and the pack take him at his word....
One year later and they finally see Stiles again but it isn't a happy reunion. Can they repair all the damage that has been caused in their time apart?
(This is one of the most recent fics I've read and it left me completely destroyed and in love at the same time, the author of this fic is the same author of most of my favorite fics. Anyway, all the fics I've read by this author will appear here. (oh by the way you would like to know that spn characters appear here.))

God, this fic is BEAUTIFUL, it's glorious, this fic can basically be described with any adjective that refers to beauty and perfection. But there is pain, a lot of pain, this fic must be praised.
There are illustrations that complete the beauty of this fic. Like this↓
Yes, you guys definitely have to read this fanfic.
You haven't read it??? WHAT ARE YOU EXPECTING?? RUN TO READ IT.
I downloaded the fic because I don't want to lose it, I would cry if one day this fic is deleted.
It's all part of the master plan - Sterek version
by: Littleredridinghunter
every fic that I put here you must read it, truly and seriously, you HAVE to read it, you can't not do it.
Sense of Home
by: siny
Home can be a place, but it can also be a person.
After the events with the Nemeton, Stiles starts suffering the consequences of their sacrifice. A journey he attempts to make on his own, but only becomes worse with every step he takes. In the process he seeks comfort in an unexpected place and it draws him toward an unexpected person.
(This fic explains one of the theories quite well, maybe you know this theory x if that theory caught your attention, you will love this fic).
hold me tight (you'll be alright)
by: orphan_account
Stiles is captured by the alpha pack for over a month before escaping. Derek finds him in the woods and takes him home.
Homeland
kitkatpancakestack
"And if you bleed for Beacon Hills once, you can be sure you'll bleed for it again."
(Tthis is a fix fic, but it's really good. I actually have many VERY good ones of this type.
God, I actually have a colossal mountain of fics to recommend and I have no idea how to start organizing them.)
It's where my demons hide
by: Littleredridinghunter
Stiles was used to his life going to hell. He'd just never expected it to be quite so literal.
When Rafael McCall returns to Beacon Hills after a five year absence it brings back lots of unhappy memories for Stiles, he'll do whatever he can to keep his secrets buried in order to protect those closest to him.
With Rafael's return Stiles discovers that secrets are always revealed, even if this particular time it's because of supernatural interference.
(By the way, I don't have an order, because all the fics that I'm putting here are really good and all of them are my favorites. BUT this fic right here is probably my favorite among favorites, this fic has a way of destroying your soul and putting it back together that you will love and hate at the same time and leave you wanting to read more.)
A Melody That Climbs And Then Falls
BY: siny
They won the fight against the alpha pack; the nightmare was apparently over.
That was until Stiles fell on the ground with blood coming out of his mouth when Derek reached him.
--
Or the fic where Stiles gets an internal bleeding for saving Derek, only a tragedy like this would make Derek realize his true feelings.
Peter betrayed them all and is currently missing. Allison and Stiles are buddies, as much as Derek and Erica.
Can't rely on me
By; Littleredridinghunter
Set at the end of season 2, Gerard beats Stiles up, but it's a lot worse than anyone knows.
The pack let him down, that's not really a surprise lately.
When Danny finds Stiles nearly bleeding to death the next day it's the start of a beautiful friendship.
Can the pack make amends before it's too late? Will Stiles ever forgive them for not being there for him when he needed them the most?
Echoes
by: jjmash
Stiles' magic accidentally creates a lifelike echo of Derek's baby sister who died in the Hale fire. Between games of tag and trips to the zoo, Derek helps Stiles pick up the pieces of himself post-Nogitsune possession.
(This one is short but sweet and sad.)
Finding His Home
by: OKDeanna
Derek Hale was a lot of things, and none of them very good. Yet, the one thing he couldn't shake was the one thing he knew he shouldn't want. But when an unexpected late night call reveals Stiles Stilinski has been injured, he will stop at nothing to get to him. Even if it means opening himself up in ways he never has before...
(I love that in the sterek fandom we have these unspoken truths, like the fact that we all know that no matter what, Derek is always going to believe and care about Stiles whether he's in Mexico or on the other side of the world, if Stiles calls, he'll go to Stiles.)
Wait For Me
by: Hedwig221b
“Stiles, we know about your Spark,” Scott looked at Stiles with desperate eyes, trying to convey something. “He is the Werewolf who's been chasing you. You must run. We’ll help you…”
Stiles stared at his friend, genuinely concerned for his sanity, because the nonsense he was sputtering was really fucking confusing.
This one is really good but fucking confusing or something, it really made me hate certain characters here and scream in frustration but I always trusted stiles/derek.
The Moon's Gonna Follow Me Home
turningterrific
Derek doesn’t want to call the window repair guy. He doesn’t want to sweep up the glass. He’ll inevitably miss a few shards and pull them out of the bottom of his bare feet for weeks.
He doesn’t want to try to make this place feel like home when it isn’t.
Derek stayed in Beacon Hills and tried to make it work because he wanted pack, wanted purpose. He gave his best effort and found himself back where he started: alone, with a few begrudging allies. He’s tired, and even though his werewolf body heals quickly, he feels the weary ache down to his center.
He packs his car with the few things he cares about enough to drag them from place to place. He locks the loft and calls a realtor about listing the building he’d bought in a misguided attempt to secure a future.
And then he leaves.
(This fic will always be in my favorite fic recommendations, because I read it at a difficult time for me and it helped me a lot emotionally to move forward, so yes, this fic is one of my favorites among favorites, and I will always mention it at every opportunity. Plus we have Derek healing and that's beautiful because Derek deserves nice things just like Stiles.)

okay, I'm going to stop here because I have some things to do, but actually I have more favorite hurt/comfort fics. But I won't be able to put them all here right now, apologies for that, but please send me another question for a second part, but I think at the moment you have several fics to read.
I hope you like them, and please do not hesitate to send me messages to talk about all these incredible fanfics, I will be waiting for your comments. (and thanks again for the question)

Stiles Summer Stories 2024
Part 1: The Proposal
Over the summer, the pack had rebuilt the Hale House together. That had been an excellent bonding experience, something they'd really desperately needed. Because Boyd and Erica had attempted to leave the pack, though they'd changed their minds and returned after their little torture stint in the Argents' basement. Because Scott had used Derek in his little ploy against Gerard and hadn't even told Stiles about it. Because Allison had temporarily lost her common sense when her mom had died. Because Jackson was now a werewolf. Because Stiles had had a little torture stint in the Argents' basement and he was done not being protected.
So Stiles had dragged Scott and Allison to the growing Hale Pack, because of course had Jackson and Lydia joined it now that Jackson was an actual werewolf and him and Lydia were back together, and Stiles put his foot down. Maybe it'd been a cheap shot to use the torture as an argument, but it had earned him the sad puppy-dog eyes from Scott and had finally made the beta cave into fully joining the Hale Pack. If not for his own sake, then for the protection of his best friend. Because Stiles only had Scott to rely on, in their little pack of two to three (what with Allison's alliances having been a bit skewed lately) and in a real pack, the breakable human would be better protected (Stiles could not believe that he had to play damsel in distress, but hey, it go the job done).
But things had needed to be mended between them all and the summer had been spent doing so, by all of them working together near daily on rebuilding the Hale House into a place where Derek and Isaac could actually live in. That had done so much in building bonds and trust between them all.
At one point though, the summer ended and the house was fully rebuilt. And sure, the pack still did weekly meetings at the Hale House, every Friday, but it wasn't the same as it had been during the summer when they had spent nearly every day together. And school wasn't the same. They were all there, but they weren't all in the same classes, and school wasn't bonding, wasn't having fun together. And considering they'd come across Cora Hale – Derek's baby sister, Derek's baby sister was still alive, Derek still had family left beyond his creepy uncle, holy shit – Stiles thought they needed some more proper bonding. He already had a solid plan too.
As October rolled around with nothing currently trying to murder them, Stiles' plans grew more concrete. A camping trip during autumn break, just the pack and a bunch of tents. The wolves would be able to run wild without running into people, there could be barbecues and bonfires.
Stiles made a plan. Not just for the trip, but also for convincing their Sourwolf leader. He'd made a whole power point presentation on why this was a good idea and why they should do it, fully bracing himself for a long debate with the grumpy, stubborn Alpha.
"Stiles," Isaac smiled brightly as he opened the door for him. "Hey. What are you doing here?"
Stiles grinned. He loved how much more at ease Isaac was these days, ever since him and Derek had moved into this house, since Isaac got a proper sense of family and home. A small laugh escaped him as Isaac pulled him close and nuzzled his neck, the blonde curls tickling him.
"It's not Friday," Cora noted from the couch in the living room.
And that, precisely, was why they needed this bonding exercise. The Hale siblings both struggled with how this pack had to work, because they'd grown up in a pack that was family, a pack that lived together in one home. Rebuilding the house together had done a lot in teaching Derek that this pack was different but it was still pack. Cora, she still needed to find her place in it all. Peter had tracked her down in South America and it had been a tearful Hale reunion, but Cora was struggling with all the new people, this new pack – she'd had a different pack where she had lived before.
Stiles offered her an offended look. "Oh, we so need to stop by and bother you Hales more often outside of pack meetings if that's the kind of greeting I am getting in this household."
Cora just raised an eyebrow before she turned her attention back to her book. Stiles had one hand in Isaac's neck, knowing that for some reason, Isaac really liked that. Though Stiles hadn't figured out why yet, since the betas usually only let their mates or their Alpha touch their necks. Which maybe was part of why Stiles had decided on this camping trip too, because he planned on cornering their Alpha and confronting Derek about the betas' weird behaviors. The neck thing wasn't the only one.
"Where can I find our sour leader?"
"His office," Isaac jerked his head a little. "If you're here, does that mean you'll make dinner? Please. It's been take-out the past three nights."
Stiles had to grin when he saw Cora perking up at Isaac's words too. So Derek was kind of culinarily challenged, and that was no surprise. It had kind of become a thing that Stiles cooked for the pack, it had started out with sandwiches during the rebuilding and then evolved into him cooking full family meals every Friday for their pack meetings. And Stiles loved it! It reminded him of cooking with his mom, real family dinners with mom and dad. Nowadays, his dad worked so many shifts, they didn't get to spend too many dinners together. Pack nights were the best.
"Depends on how long I'll take convincing Der," Stiles grinned. "But sure, if I have enough time left, I would be kinda hungry too. How about you two go through the fridge to pick something."
His grin grew when he saw Cora get off the couch immediately. The girl was slowly warming up to Stiles too. The Stilinski charm could wrap every werewolf around his fingers! Well, their fearless leader was still a work in progress, but there had been less death threats lately so Stiles booked that as on his way to success. Then again, there had been… less Derek, lately. Ever since the school year had started. Stiles only saw Derek during pack meetings or when something tried to kill them. And Stiles tried not to take it personally or feel hurt by it, but there had been a weird bond of sorts between Stiles and Derek, or maybe he'd been imagining that.
"Hey, Sourwolf," Stiles plastered on his broadest grin as he entered Derek's office.
The Alpha scowled when he looked up, first at Stiles, then at Stiles' laptop and somehow, his scowl got even darker. "What's trying to kill us this time."
"It is, genuinely, so sad that you assume it must be a threat when a pack mate comes visiting you outside of pack nights," Stiles heaved a sigh and let himself fall onto the couch like he owned it. "Nothing is trying to kill us. I have an idea. And I bring my laptop because that's where my very well put together presentation lives that will absolutely convince you."
Derek crossed his arms over his chest and frowned at him. "What idea."
"It's nearly fall break and I think that we, the whole pack, should go on a trip together. A camping trip, in the mountains," Stiles sat up straighter, trying to convince Derek. "The wolves could chase and hunt, without running into people. We could barbecue whatever you hunt and eat together and-"
"Okay," Derek interrupted with a short nod.
"-and I found the perfect spot too, it's a creek… What?" Stiles blinked doe-eyed at Derek.
"Okay," Derek nodded. "I think that's a good idea. I've been thinking about what to do to bring the pack closer together since Cora moved here. This is… It's a good idea, Stiles."
Huh. Stiles continued blinking at Derek. He had made a whole presentation! He'd hiked up there to take pictures of the damn creek for that presentation. It was quite beautiful and it ended in a lake, so they could also do some swimming. Derek had never just agreed to anything without needing serious convincing. But Derek hadn't even let him finish a whole sentence.
"Okay," Stiles nodded, very pleased. "Well then, that means I'll have enough time to cook dinner after all, I guess. So, I'll be in the kitchen with the pups. Once you're done with whatever you're doing there, you can join us and help too."
/break\
Derek stared after Stiles' retreating form when the human headed to the kitchen to make dinner for them, like he owned the place. And, in a way, he did. The kitchen had somehow become Stiles' territory. He cooked for the pack during pack nights, he fed Derek and his betas. Stiles, this infuriating, loud, snarky, brilliantly clever human, had just walked into Derek's pack, claimed a spot for himself and somehow taken over the role of Pack Mom like it was natural.
Heaving a sigh, Derek rested his head against the back of his chair. There was a bond between them and it had steadily grown with every time they'd saved each other's life. When Derek had trusted Stiles to chop off his arm after Kate had shot him, when Derek had rushed to the hospital to save Stiles from Peter after they realized who the Alpha was, but the tipping point for Derek had been when Stiles had kept him afloat in the pool for two hours, instead of running off to safety himself. That was when Derek first realized that Stiles was a potential mate for him. And every time after had only solidified that potential bond between them. The summer had been worst, because Stiles had so naturally taken over the position usually reserved to the Alpha's mate.
It was like this sarcastic little shit had waltzed into Derek's life and declared himself Derek's destiny, not leaving any room to argue. He kept saving Derek's life, he brought Derek's pack together and took care of them, he… made this house feel like a home, to Derek. Stiles was his mate, not just a potential mate anymore, the bond between them was so strong at this point, Derek could not imagine ever finding anyone as perfect as Stiles.
Which was why he'd kept Stiles at an arm's length ever since he realized. Breaking into Stiles' bedroom suddenly felt risky. Pinning Stiles against walls only made him want to kiss his mate. But he couldn't burden Stiles like that. Stiles was human, they didn't have mate-bonds, he couldn't feel that call of destiny. He had a choice and Derek wasn't going to take that away from Stiles.
However, he now found himself unable to deny his mate. Quite frankly, Stiles could have asked any ridiculous thing of him and Derek would have agreed. But a pack camping trip? That really was a good idea. A small smile played on Derek's lips as he imagined hunting with his betas and bringing whatever he caught to his mate. He hadn't dared do that yet, thought it would be too obviously an act of courting. But if they went camping, if they went hunting…? Surely, he could get away with bringing Stiles the biggest, juiciest deer he could catch. This was going to be torture.

I've been wanting to read a fic where Isaac comes back and reacts to Theo (and Thiam) so bad 😭 I think they would get along
silly little SFW one shot for you below the cut!
It had been a long time since Isaac Lahey had been back in Beacon Hills. There’s a very specific grief that comes with losing everything more than once. It convinces you that you’re a ticking time bomb, waiting to go off and ruin everything.
Coming back to Beacon Hills hadn’t been easy, but Chris had asked him, and Isaac owed Chris more than could be repaid. Kid werewolves were being hunted, and the McCall pack was one of the few things standing in the way.
Isaac hadn’t been ready to see Scott again, but what he really hadn’t been ready for was how much the pack had grown. There were two new boys, younger and angrier than the rest. Liam and Theo.
Isaac liked Theo. He was a little cold, but Isaac could relate to the standoffish behavior. The guy was witty, dark, and reeked of guilt. Another thing Isaac could relate to. Very much against both of their wills, Theo became a lot like a younger brother to Isaac.
Theo would never have admitted out loud that he thought Isaac was funny, but his regularly gravitating to Isaac in groups gave it away. Isaac was the only one who hadn’t seen the blood on Theo’s hands firsthand. There was a buffer with Isaac that freed Theo from the judgment that Scott McCall’s perfect morality inflicted. Scott was a good guy, but he was still a black and white thinker after all this time. Isaac and Theo each understood being a victim in a way that was hard to find.
The only problem was Liam.
Theo was clearly falling head over heels, and wouldn’t admit it. One night, sitting on the hood of the truck, Isaac made the mistake of asking, “why haven’t you asked Liam out already?”
Theo’s expression closed off immediately. “Why would I ask him out?”
“Come on, you’re not that good at hiding your chemosignals,” Isaac said. “So what’s the deal? Is he straight?”
“He’s bi,” Theo groused through gritted teeth. “And he’s off limits.”
“Why?”
Theo lay back flat against his windshield. “I’ve screwed up pretty much everything in my life. I killed my own sister. I can’t date Liam. He’s too good for that.”
Isaac raised an eyebrow. “I saw him punch a hole in a wall just two days ago.”
“I said good, not perfect. He cares about other people in a way I don’t know how to.”
“I get it.”
“No you don’t.”
“What, you think growing up with my dad, that I learned how to care about people? He used to lock me in a freezer. You get pretty cold when that goes on for long enough.”
Theo let out a small snort. “Cold?”
“I thought that might get you.”
“I hate you.”
“No you don’t. I’m one of the two people you tolerate. And speaking of, you should ask the other one out.”
“You really think Liam would go out with me?” Theo asked.
“He looks at you like if you don’t start making out with him, he’s going to kill himself. Ask him out.”
“I’ll think about it.”
“Think faster. I invited him to join us tonight.”
“I really, really hate you.”

Imagine: crossing the line with your best friend. And instantly teasing him about it
The friendship between you and Derek Hale wasn't instantly for the first six years of knowing Derek he found you annoying. a high school girl and a 20 something year old. Dont have much in common..
Minus the fact that your best friend Scott McCall was a werewolf. and you were constantly being dragged into danger. Derek saved you from a virgin sacrifice. Which you then instantly told him to drop his pants afterwards. which was the first time you made him laugh as he said he would rather boil his manhood off and chop it off and feed it to the birds. which you then asked if it would grow back. cause of super healing. which he then had to tell you they couldn't grow extra limbs
your Senior year you were diagnosed with Cancer.. Derek was Long gone, and you were Sick. Scott offered and you accepted his bite. 50/50 you were other going to turn into a werewolf. and your body would Heal your cancer and you would be stronger, faster, heal faster, be invincible. Or you were going to die. you already had a 50/50 chance of living at least if your body regretted the bite. you wouldn't have to go thru months of cancer treatments.
you were Stunned it worked. honestly you thought your cancer would of muted the bite and you would of died instantly. it took a day to get better and then you were back to yourself. everyone moved on from beacon Hill. and Scott entrusted you, and Malia to watch the town. while He got to run off to LA. and open up a dog shelter and be a massive Jerk.
your Entire pack fell. and crumbled. and when Scott refused to come home. When a GOD appeared and was going to destroy the entire town and then the world. Derek came to the rescue and once God was taken care of. you and Malia both Left Scotts Pack. and you asked to Join Derek's. he said he wasn't an Alpha so you said you be Non Alpha together. and that's when the friendship started.
Years passed and you have Seen Derek shirtless countless of times. he would often do pull-ups shirtless while your trying to watch a movie while eating ice cream. and you often would Lick the spoon clean and have it against the container of ice cream in your hands (single serve ice cream container) and would wait until it was nice and cold before walking over to Derek to place the Cold spoon on his stomach.
Since he moved back and you and he became friends, everything has changed. he stopped seeing you as an annoying little kid. Who when Learned about werewolves asked about the Ogopogo. which is the Canadian version of Nessie. Derek thought it was adorable but he pushed that thought away and called you an idiot. you still stand on the idea it could be Real. you've seen GODS! a mystical Creature isn't extreme.
Now you were he's my Best friend. you spend almost every day together. you worked in your family's flower shop, he has his garage. you bring new flowers to the waiting room weekly. And have had countless dinners in the garage as you watch Derek and Malia working on vehicles.
Last night was no different, Malia was out with her Not boyfriend but sort of boyfriend. Parrish which. you All had an incredible Sense of smell- Malia other didn't care or didn't realize that you all could smell the musk of sex in the office. that they shared. Derek didn't comment on it. but you did. you preferred Parrish over Scott. you arrived at the Garage seeing the doors were all open as you realized why. the Smell was all over. from the waiting room to the garage to probably the office. Derek was hunched over a truck looking into the engine as you said "whoa!" he went back to his work as you walked over, "Can't they just have sex at home like another boring couple?"
Derek chuckled at that as he spoke, "I don't think they care."
"Really? I had No idea."
he sighed as you walked over leaning against the truck looking down at the truck. you were hopeless with vehicles. you knew how to jump a car. you knew how to check the oil. And how to change a tire. but you leave all the other stuff to Derek.
'your going to get your shirt covered in grease."
looking down at your pail pink tank top it was hot today. to hot to be March. you shook your head, 'I dont care. i hate this shirt anyway."
"Really why?"
"it's too low in the back." Derek loved that shirt. he would often find himself staring at your bare back. it was Low. It wasn't your purchase Malia bought it for you. when she was trying to get you laid. she had a few months of determination to get you a Lay or a boyfriend. but you turned down every guy she brought to you. All weren't good enough. Derek figured. He knew you only wore that shirt for two reasons. it was laundry day or if it was too hot.
"I like it." Derek mentioned as you chuckled. "yea, probably just because I fuss with it all day.' he didn't answer as you rubbed your neck. the smell was getting to your nose. it wasn't a horrible smell. but it just made your hair on edge. thinking about the last time you had a "partner" to tango with. your mind went to Derek's muscles as he was working away as you found your mind wondering.
Derek was having the same problem. he was wishing you would turn around so he could see your bare back. and he' was now caged against the truck. he couldn't leave without showing how turned on he was.
you walked away from Derek hoping the distance would give you clarity as you went to sit down on your chair. looking at Derek. you have always called him "A walking greek god status that was made from Marbel and created to torment the human race with his beauty." Derek wasn't Greek, but you couldn't explain how else he looked like he was carved out of marble. perfectly toned body, his abs were amazing, and his hands were strong and large. he was A Pretty boy. with a now more calm nature. No longer the big hot head he was when you were in high school he hasn't threaten to hit you over the head with a newspaper in years. Even his butt was amazing. you weren't much of a butt person. but you had to admit he had a good butt. the more you thought about Derek. and he's form. the more dizzy your mind got. then it hit you.. it was the Full moon tomorrow. you chuckled out realizing Why you were feeling out of shorts. the full moon your body was already tingling and you were already having slight mood swings. but as a women. who has a period.. your use to your body feeling funky and one minute being fine the next you wanting to bash something.
"What?" Derek asked as you looked over at him as he looked at you curiously, "Oh- it's the full moon tomorrow. I- I'm- ugh- the Smell Plus the fact it's a full moon tomorrow. I'm just- understanding why your heart is beating a thousand miles a hour."
"yours is going as just as fast." he stated. as you nodded your head, "yea. "
the conversation soon changed. to home repair. then the topic and thoughts calmed down, until you were having dinner with Derek in the small kitchen. you sat on the counter as you had a popsicle. Chery flavor as Derek spoke, 'can you Not? have that please."
you looked at him stunned as you asked why as he coughed. looking away, "It's already hard enough in here tonight.. don't- add to it."
'I can eat whatever I want. control yourself Sour wolf." you added as you sucked a bit of the top of the treat, looking over and seeing Derek. he was tense as you spoke, "it's cleared out alot in here."
"I'm going out for fresh air."
somehow between him declaring that and you telling him to stay you both ended up stripping naked and doing the "devil tango" in the kitchen. it was quick and afterwards, Derek asked you to go home with him. you agreed breathless and in a high. from what just happened.
now it was morning as you looked over seeing Derek was fast asleep as he's chest was bare as you looked around seeing your bra- what was left of your bra was on the ceiling fan spinning. well, part of it..t he another part was on the dresser. you couldn't whip the smile off your face. you were in Heaven. you have liked Derek for years. and Never thought this would happen.. Seven times..
so you laid there in heaven until you noticed your shorts. were also in need of repair the buttons and zipper were broken. with how fast Derek undressed you last night when you got to his room. you were stunned they weren't ripped in two. the only thing that survived was the Pink tank top that was it, everything else was destroyed.
"morning." hearing his husky voice you turned your body over to face Derek as he had a big smile on his face as you smiled, "hey tiger." he chuckled softly as you spoke, 'you destroyed my bra, ithink you won the battle with it." he chuckled softly as you smiled as you spoke, " So a soild 7 outta ten last night." Derek chuckled as he spoke "oh WHOA! seriously?" he chuckled looking at you as he spoke, 'what could i approve on?"
"i'll tell you again when we do it again." he chuckled as he slipped closer to you as he kissed your mouth as you smiled into the kiss as he reached down to kiss your neck as you moved your neck to give him more access as you smiled. until you both heard Malia's voice in the kitchen "HEY GET YOUR ASSES DOWN HERE!"
you both froze as you whispered, "maybe she will go away."
Derek sighed heavily shaking his head, "doubtful... is this- was this okay? or was this.. a wolf thing?"
"A wolf thing? what the hell does that mean?" he sighed, "i dont- you don't feel.. taken advantage of? right."
you rolled your eyes, "if i did. i wouldn't be having you nibbling my neck." he nodded his head as you rolled your eyes. idiot.." you started to get up as he pinned you to the bed as he kissed your shoulder softly, "come back tonight?"
you breathed deeply as you spoke, "only if you come over for lunch."
he grinned brightly kissing your shoulder again. "I just- want you to know.. I want this. I wanted this for a while. this isn't just some- Fling.. i dont want it to be some Fling between two friends." you smiled as you reached up touching his hair softly, "it's about damn time. but we should go before Malia comes in here.. I need a shirt."

Seires Fic Rec Part 13
Eighth Night of Chunnuka
Hot Nerd Alert by alisvolatpropiis - (Hot Nerd Alert) - (Rating: Not Rated, Words: 4,537, sterek)
Derek can't believe he's actually doing this: taking a selfie snap of the guy he’s been crushing on for weeks to prove to Danny that one, yes, he really does exist, and two, he really is that hot and thus he is totally justified in being too scared to make a move.
Or you know, even talk to the guy outside of the class they share.
In his defense, this isn’t just any guy. This THE guy. Hot Nerd. The utterly adorable but still somehow insanely sexy freshman in his twentieth century American Lit class who he’s been lusting over since the first day of the semester. If there were ever a time for him to be that person who tries to be subtle while taking snaps of other people, this is it.
Inspired by this super cute fanart by prettiestalpha.
This is Home by JoMouse - (This is Home) - (Rating: T, Words: 3,451, sterek)
Derek gets a letter carrying a familiar scent from an unknown person. He drops everything and returns to Beacon Hills for the first time in fifteen years.
Written for A Very Sterek Summer. Day 5, Theme: Reunion.
If the ley lines you should follow by forestofbabel - ( Ley Lines ) - (Rating: T, Words: 52,111, sterek)
And Derek just stood there, staring at Stiles like he was a ghost.
“Dude, I know it’s been a while but you don’t have to look at me like you’re that surprised I’m hung over in the woods. It’s practically a tradition at this point.”
“Stiles?” Derek whispered, the name falling from his lips like a punch to the gut. Stiles watched, confused, as Derek took a deep breath in and took a shaky step forward then back again. “You’re not- you can’t be. Who are you?”
All I Ever Wanted by gabby227 - (Presidential Stiles and First Husband Derek) - (Rating: Explicit, Words: 24,297, sterek)
Based on a request on tumblr:
In the midst of all of the Election 2016 craziness, I have discovered that I need President & First Husband Sterek. Either could have either position, but I’m really desperate for the ‘First Husband’ to be more interested in continuing their current career than getting involved in anything political. They show up for the really important stuff, but they don’t put much stock in the whole the ‘President’s spouse must do a political song and dance for the masses’.
Or, rather, the first of several stories surrounding presidential!Stiles and first husband!Derek.
Reunion by Rising_Phoenix - (The New Hale Pack) - (Rating: G, Words: 5,221, sterek)
Stiles is in Beacon Hills, just in time for his ten-year high school reunion. Having been convinced to show up there, he meets the last person he wants to me, one Scott McCall, the werewolf who once had been his best friend, his brother, before he had told him that humans can not be part of a pack and abandoned him after graduation. But it's Scott who will be surprised by not only Stiles being there, but also by the backup that has decided to show up supporting him...
Pretty Little Wolf by ItsMe_Basil - ( Pretty Little Wolf) - (Rating: Explicit, Words: 82,164, sterek)
Derek has heard stories about the Spark -the kind of stories that would have his younger self cowering under the blankets. The kind of stories that had Derek stick close to the pack. But when Derek is in trouble, and the pack isnt around, Derek finds himself in the care of said Spark, and he finds out fairly quickly that he's not all he seems to be. Stiles, he finds out, isn't a villain at all. Derek's only heard one side of the story for four years, and now it's time for him to hear the other side from his mate. *-* "Pretty little wolf," he hummed, stepping closer and kneeling beside Derek. Even in his death fogged brain, he recognized the words spoken. The words that were tattooed along his hip bone. The man reached a hand out, long bony fingers brushing against Derek's jaw. That's when recognition dawned on him. He knew this boy -not personally, but he'd seen pictures. This was the Spark. The one Scott had warned him about since Derek had returned to Beacon Hills four years ago. His mate. "Fuck me," Derek gasped out, dropping his head on the step. "Let's get you better, first, shall we, Puppy?" The Spark hummed.
Not Quite According to Plan by Phlinting - (A Spark of Hope and the Butterfly Effect ) - (Rating: Mature, Words: 23,261, sterek)
It's been eleven years since Scott was bitten by a feral werewolf and, despite his pack's many victories along the way, Gerard Argent's influence lives on. As the knowledge of the supernatural spread to the general population so did the hatred and fear of the unknown. The McCall pack has been picked off one by one and Stiles, Sheriff Stilinski, and Peter Hale are the only three left, on the run and barely surviving.
But Stiles has found a spell. He has the magic, the spark, and his belief. He has his dad and Peter to help power it and he has the will and desperation to succeed.
He's going back to the Hale fire and this time he's going to stop it ALL before it starts.
It's the perfect solution. Too bad things never go quite according to plan...
Another Alpha by ThePornFairy - (Wash your hands) - (Rating: Explicit, Words: 1,147, sterek)
When Stiles comes home with news, things don't exactly go as planned.
or
Wash your hands as thoroughly as Derek scrubs another alpha's scent off of Stiles skin
Blue Light (i'm waiting for it, that) by zanni_1 (zanni_scaramouche) - (In Your Eyes (the light, the heat) - (Rating: Explicit, Words: 19,743, sterek)
Derek pays him to dance, Stiles enjoys the sex on the side, and that’s all that ties them together. Whatever else the enigmatic man does is none of Stiles’ fucking business.
Stiles works at a club owned by infamous Derek Hale, leader of the largest criminal organization this side of the country. As they twirl closer together police and rival gangs start to gain the upper hand, forcing everyone's loyalty to be questioned.
Body On My by nymphe - (Losin’ All My Innocence) - (Rating: Explicit, Words: 2,333, sterek)
“I’m serious, Derek. Like really sensitive,” Stiles says, a little muffled by where he’s shoving his face into Derek’s shirt.
Stiles’ neck is sensitive. Derek takes advantage of it.

Diner Talks - Teen Wolf Preference
Fandom: Teen Wolf
Idea and inspiration from my ever beloved @adarkroomandawallflower 🖤(Of course Theo's is longest...)
Following the ever-present supernatural happenings in your lives, it became a small tradition between you to, when all is said and done with the latest crisis of Beacon Hills, go down to the diner at the edge of town and unwind. A sigh of relief and good enough food that never changes, and just talk.
They're open 24/7, and you've learned you can say anything without the cook or single waitress giving a damn, from school problems to supernaturals, neither had bat an eye or paid you any mind. They have their own nights to get through, something you've really grown to appreciate and respect, they've never ratted on anything that might have past their ears.
Scott McCall: It was late when everyone called it case-closed and dispersed back to their homes after the last big bad was run out of Beacon Hills, Scott was giving you a ride home on his motorcycle when it started to pour.
Instead of going to the other side of town in blinding rain that may not have been natural, he ducked towards the only lit up building, a neon sign with an awning he could tuck his bike under, and you shared milkshakes and fries, chatting happily in the warm light and ignoring the strange figure standing across the lot.
Stiles Stilinski: The town was once again saved, everyone you loved was more or less in once piece and you were almost asleep in the passenger seat until Stiles' steady tapping a rhythm on his steering wheel changed into a sharp turn into the entrance to a diner woke you wondering if something was wrong.
He let out a whoop and fist pumped pulling into the empty row in front and you took in the place, flickering neon sign you've never paid attention to before as he was already at your door opening it for you.
He remembers when he was little and his dad would take him to eat here after a long case was finally finished, they would both get a greasy burger and greasier fries and Noah would humor some of his questions about work while urging him to eat instead.
They hadn't done this in years, not really. But now you sit across from him in the booth with greasy food served by the same cigarette smokey waitress and talk about your own cases and a little nostalgia always gets him.
Allison Argent: You first took her to eat at the diner not long after she had moved to Beacon Hills, she was unsure if the place was even there as you drove to the very edge of town. And it was completely deserted without being that late, but she followed you in, she's the new one here afterall.
When she learned about werewolves and hunters and everything else she had to tell you as soon as possible and told you to meet her at the diner immediately. She had your order waiting when you got there and was barely holding it in while you slid in across from her before spilling everything she knew and just found out before realizing, you already know about this.
Now anytime there's something new or big to discuss you end up back at the diner, talking a little too loud for such a topic pouring over new knowledge and old texts together.
Theo Raeken: It had been a long day. Both you and Theo (and hell, half the pack) were roughed up and exhausted, nearly dying before the latest big shot was run out of town, and you were starving.
And you voiced as much to Theo, who was about to say there's not much he can do about that at two in the morning, before spotting the only damn place lit up at this hour. He pulled in and huffed a laugh that yeah, it was really open.
He puts his jacket over your shoulders before you slide into the booth and takes the spot across from you, watching your gaze hungrily scan the menu and just adding "same here" once you order.
It's a sigh of relief while you lean back and wait for your food, giving him a crooked little smile while your foot bumps his leg. There's an ache from his wounds still and a scuff of dirt on your face and he wants to get you back in his truck and drive. Away from Beacon Hills and all its' trials, from the memories of hell and the pack he swears he doesn't care for.
It's tradition now, to come to eat at the diner on the edge of town, no matter how late, always lit and empty, as if waiting for you both. You take the same booth and Theo always takes whatever you order too, and he says how you can leave together. Leave everything in this town behind and it'd be okay, but you notice how less serious he sounds about it now. As he comes to accept his fate of caring about the pack and becoming attached to this town, a passing comment of the night before lacing his fingers with yours and heading home instead of a wistful glance to his truck and pleading tone.
Lydia Martin: The only one who starts this out as a normal date. Despite her expensive tastes and higher class lifestyle, she took you out to the 'cute little diner' for a tame date one night when you seemed like you needed a little time to just get away.
Though she usually would've just booked you both a spa day, she knows you well enough that you'd enjoy this little place. Rolling her eyes when you look so surprised that this is where she took you.
Unsuspectedly enjoyed the meal and just getting to talk with you here that it became your go-to whenever things became a bit much, especially after the supernatural aspect took over your lives.
Isaac Lahey: You would take him here when you were able to sneak him out after his dad had been in especially fine form. A quiet place where no one would ask or bat an eye, despite how worried he was at first.
Just a place far away from everything and a hot meal and too-large milkshake to share, always getting one with two straws because you knew he loved that in cheesy movies.
And after he became a werewolf and everyone was so busy you realized how long it'd been since you went to the diner, especially since there was nothing to stop you anymore. Now you go after every pack problem, and despite the higher stakes he's much more lighthearted on these late nights.

Do you know any fics similar to The Mating Privilege or I Don’t Like the Way She’s Looking at You? Just some stories where Derek isn’t the *best* mate/bf/husband etc or they have to pretend to not be together and ends up with stiles feeling neglected or ignored.
I’ve also read “how I long for yesterday” and “worth it” for those that want something similar but not quite what I’m looking for!
First of all. "How I Long for Yesterday" is my fic. So this made my day.
How I Long For Yesterday by sweetbutterbliss
(1/1 I 6,017 I Mature I Sterek)
Stiles blinks, his throat going dry, and he moves his thumb without thinking - liking the post. He feels a surge of petty satisfaction. At least the fucker will know he knows now. He stands up, his body feeling too heavy, and he blows out the already guttering candles. He lets out a sob of frustration when the last one won’t fucking blow out. But he sucks it back in and bites down on his tongue, using his thumb and forefinger instead. He throws himself into their empty bed without undressing. He lies there repeating the words ‘Derek blew me off for Isaac’ over and over. He tells himself to shut up while rearranging his pillow violently, but he goes to sleep with the refrain continuing its painful loop.
Worth It by dragneels
(1/1 I 1,670 I General I Sterek)
He hadn’t thought even for a second, instincts roaring, and jumped in front of Derek, taking the blow. And then he got lost in the darkness. also known as the "stiles telling derek that he's worth everything" fic no one asked for
***
As the seconds tick by by Halevetica
(1/1 I 3,972 I Not Rated)
When Derek picks up a new contract, he starts showing up late and missing important dates making Stiles feel unimportant. Derek is sure the contract is worth it, but Stiles doesn't understand why.
I'm Torn Do I Stay Do I Go by Adaline_Stilinski
(2/2 I 6,963 I General)
Derek had been focusing on making alliances with other packs around Beacon Hills to protect his pack but in doing so he started to neglect Stiles and there relationship. Stiles get's sick of it and decided to leave for some time apart is it going to help be like the stories Stiles reads and write about how distance makes love grow or will they both realise that there better apart. Will tragedy bring them together
Aberration by JackalPinesOfHouseEvergreen
(11/? I 29,415 I Teen)
Derek is a hot-shot lawyer who is very focused on his work. Stiles is his loving husband who does his best to fit into Derek's high-class family. He's hit some major roadblocks though. He feels neglected and unloved, and worse when Derek ditches him at his own family's parties which leave him humiliated as he tries to appear like their marriage isn't failing.
As an old member comes during some important werewolf ceremony to stir the pot, Derek's relationship with his family and Stiles is tested more than ever. Derek's world has been rocked and turned upside down.
And Stiles? Stiles is trying to find out who he is in the absence of the one he loves. As much as he believes in Derek and in their relationship, Stiles needs to find his self-worth that got lost along the way. Remember the fire he had inside of him as he got in the face of those that looked down at him, the fierceness of his intelligence that made others fear and respect him. Remember how fun life was...
Derek and Stiles drift a bit as Derek realizes he has to woo Stiles again, because he will not risk losing the love of his life. Not again.
The Mating Privilege by Kikileduc
(12/12 I 35,380 I Mature)
Stiles and Derek have been happily mated. The pack is doing well, but in hopes of creating alliances for it to do better, Derek accepts a neighboring pack's request to allow two wolves to join the Hale-McCall pack for a full moon cycle. They hope to form a blood-tie, or at least a long term friendship between the two packs. The issue is Kohona, the tribal leader's daughter, has her eyes set on an unavailable alpha wolf. This could have drastic consequences for their young emissary, however...
Til We Ain't Strangers Anymore by WriteByNight
(7/7 I 35,994 I Explicit)
Stiles should've expected Derek to suddenly disappear since the werewolf was in the habit of taking off without notice. However, Derek always showed up when they needed him.
As the weeks pass by, Stiles is no longer confused and a little hurt. What started as heartache begins to get worse the longer Stiles goes without seeing Derek. Eventually, his body begins to shut down and his only hope seems to be Derek...but nobody can find him.
There's no cure for a broken heart. Except, maybe, the cause for the broken heart himself.
- - -
Or the one where Derek takes off without warning and Stiles finds out he could be Derek's mate and the distance between Derek and Stiles, along with Derek's refusal to develop the bond, is slowly killing Stiles. Without Derek, Stiles will die, but no one knows where he is or how to contact him. And Stiles is barely keeping it together.

Scott McCall Week 2024: day 4, this isn't just about the game
|| for @scottappreciation event
|| tags: scott/cora, hurt/comfort
“I need to keep studying, I’m sorry.” Scott huffs and avoids Cora’s eyes, looking back at his chemistry books that are seeming more like another language the longer he looks at them. He feels bad blowing off Cora’s request of a movie night but he can’t walk from this.
“Why are you studying so hard? I thought you said you had C’s.” If Cora’s honest, she’s surprised he’s even been able to keep that up with the chaos that’s been going on this year.
“I need B’s to keep playing lacrosse.” The library lights flicker above them when Cora sits across from Scott, lightly wrapping her fingers around his wrist to pull his hands away from where he has them resting on the book. They’re in tight fists of stress that Cora’s seen far too many times in the past couple weeks.
“You need to take a break and stop stressing.” She says softly but Scott only looks away again.
“This is the only thing that’s normal that I have.” It’s low and crunched together, even in the quiet library and with Cora’s werewolf hearing she leans in to listen to him.
“I’m not normal enough for you?” A harsh blush runs across Scott’s cheeks and neck as he lifts his head with a gentle smile and head shake.
“You’re perfect for me. I just… I don’t want to give up on lacrosse… it used to be so important to me.” When him and Stiles first started lacrosse it was the best thing in the world, even if Scott had just become a werewolf, lacrosse still seemed amazing. He was finally good at it, finally got a solid spot on the team, the coach actually looked at him and said he was doing a good job- everything about it was special.
“I know you really like it but isn’t it more realistic to put it off til things calm down?” Scott shifts in his seat, an uncomfortable knot of anxiety forming in his gut.
“Things won’t calm down, I’ll be putting it off forever.” He had kept hoping things would smooth over when everything first started off, he thought by the beginning of sophomore year he’d have everything figured out and they’d have a normal year. But now he’s a junior and every single year has been hectic, there’s never been a break.
“Okay babe, I’ll help you study so you can stay on the team. But starting tomorrow, the library closes in ten minutes and you need to sleep.” Cora picks up Scott’s book and shut its with his notes still inside, cutting off whatever protest he was going to give. The real goal of her coming here wasn’t to have a movie night but to make Scott get some sleep that he’s in desperate need of.
“I won’t let you put it off forever.” She assures, Scott leans over to kiss her forehead in thanks.
“I know you won’t.” Not if Scott is serious about wanting to keep playing, which he obviously is, and he knows Cora will do her best to help him achieve that.
They’ve talked about how Scott longs for that “normal” high school experience at times and how Cora is the complete opposite and has never seen the appeal of it. But Cora is just as stubborn and loyal as the rest of her family and Scott has no doubt she’ll be doing anything she can to help him get that life, at least a sliver of it. That’s all Scott really wants, he loves his pack and being a werewolf, all he needs is to play lacrosse once in a while to forget about the supernatural for a few hours at practice or feel the high of winning a game that doesn’t come up any other time. Even if he does have to spend all his free time studying to get there.

I'm Not Afraid | Chapter 17
Word Count: 3.5K
Story Description: (Y/N) Argent arrived at Beacon Hills to put to rest her father’s sister, Kate Argent. For the first time, her family has decided to settle down and sustain a life in this interesting small town. After 17 years, (Y/N) has the opportunity to establish interpersonal relationships but will she be ready to face the complications that come with relating to her cousin’s, Allison, friends; especially, the infamous Derek Hale. She will face the adventure of being associated with the Derek and McCall pack, as well as being faced with the discovery of certain aspects of her life she never imagined.
A/N: uh oh, things are changing...
<- Previous | Next ->
There was a tense air between (Y/N) and Derek as they reached her house. He helped her off the bike and kept his hand on her lower back as they walked to her front porch but did not say a single word. His stare was a million miles away, and she could tell his thoughts had been running rampant in his head.
“Are you okay, Derek?” the girl finally broke the silence as she slid her key into the door. “You feel weird. Like, distant.”
“I’m fine,” he said, his stoic façade still plastered on his face. “I just need to make sure you’re home safe before I get my pack.”
“They’re fine. They’re hiding up in my room.” She pulled out her phone from her pocket and showed him Isaac’s text confirming that they had locked themselves in her house. “But I need to know what you’re hiding right now because I know something’s up.”
“Everything’s fine,” he huffed. “Why are they here?”
“I thought they’d be safe here,” she responded. “Don’t change the topic, Derek. You know you can’t lie to me.”
“I just… we gotta stay away from each other for a while, okay? Believe me when I say, it’s for the best.”
The answer took (Y/N) aback. She stepped away from his touch, as though suddenly it burned her. His words had seemingly come out of nowhere. They were in a good spot, she thought. They weren’t exactly in a relationship, but they weren’t not in one either. They had been speaking consistently for the past couple of weeks, they had seen each other when they could, and they had kissed. God, did they kiss. “I-I-I don’t understand,” she stammered as she blinked away her confusion. “I thought we were good. I mean, I know our situation isn’t exactly ideal, but I didn’t think it was going bad.”
“It’s just not the time to deal with feelings, (Y/N),” he sighed. “I have to focus on how to get rid of the Kanima and why Scott would betray us. I simply don’t have the bandwidth to focus on you too.”
“Oh, I didn’t know I was such a distraction,” (Y/N) scoffed, putting another step of distance between them. “You know, it was only a few weeks ago that you were saying you wanted this to work. No matter how long it took or what hurdles we had to go through. You said I wouldn’t have to go through life alone, not while you were here. Was that all just bullshit?”
“It wasn’t… It isn’t…” He ran his hands across his face in frustration, letting out an infuriated groan. “With everything that’s going on, I can’t risk being close to you, (Y/N). The more time that passes with the Kanima here, the more hunters will arrive. Especially now that I have a target on my back, thanks to your cousin. Being with you only makes that target bigger, and it puts it on my pack too. I have to make the right decision for them.”
“So, everything I’ve done to help you guys out means nothing?” she cried, biting down the tears that threatened to spill. “I’ve stuck my neck out for you on more than one occasion. I think I’ve proven to be an asset to you and your pack when it comes to my family.”
“You have and I’m grateful,” he said. Derek took a beat before continuing. It seemed he knew the next words out of his mouth would drive a wedge between them that he wasn’t sure would ever be removed. “I just don’t know if one day you’ll turn on us like Allison has done to Scott, or even like Kate did to me.”
If there was anything he could say that would drive (Y/N) away, it was that. Her fears of one day becoming like her aunt still haunted her to that day. It was a quiet but haunting rumble in the pits of her mind, fed by her insecurities and her fears, and very much alive.
“A-are you serious?” (Y/N) wanted to appear confident and confrontational. But she couldn’t help the way her voice broke. “Do you really think I’d be capable of doing something like that?”
“I can’t be sure, (Y/N). I want to believe that you won’t and that you and your father are truly on our side, but I have to take precautions. It’s not just my life that’s at stake.”
(Y/N) didn’t know if his words stung more than the unchanging expression on his face. There was no care, no compassion. She wasn’t talking to Derek, her sour wolf. She was speaking to Derek, the alpha. “What brought this on, Derek?” she asked. “What made you change your mind all of a sudden?”
“It wasn’t anything specifically. It’s just… the situation we’re in is basically unheard of, and I need to make sure that I’m putting a hundred percent of my brain into resolving this,” he said. “And if Scott isn’t going to help, then I have to find a way to end this once and for all. I can’t be worrying about the hunters coming from your side too.”
Words died in the girl’s mouth as she tried to conceal the hurt that coursed through her veins. It was a betrayal like no other. “Is that really how you feel?” (Y/N) asked, her resolve quickly coming undone. “You once told me that you knew that I would never be like Kate. That there was no way I could be that heartless. Does that mean you lied? Have you always felt this way?”
And with determination like she had never seen from him, he said, “Yes.” By then, she couldn’t hold back the tears, but she wouldn’t let him see her hurt. She couldn’t keep the drops from falling, but she could keep her sobs inside. “(Y/N)…”
“Go,” she said sternly, facing her door and giving him her back.
“(Y/N), I…”
“I said go, Derek,” she restated, raising her voice. “You can call your pack after. But you need to get out of here right now.”
Before he could say another word, (Y/N) slipped into her house and locked the door behind her. Shuddering cries threatened to break through, so she clasped her fist into her mouth and bit down. She did not want him to hear her. He’d been able to shatter her heart with a few words, but he did not deserve to know her pain. Not anymore.
As the tears fell, she remembered the cuts on her face. Every time another drop fell, it sank into the open wound, mixing blood and salty water down her cheeks. The sting was enough to subside the pain in her chest, but not enough to make it go away. And all she wanted was for it to go away.
Suddenly, soft steps on her stairs forced her head to snap forward to see a witness to her despair. Erica wore a sympathetic smile on her face, something that surprised (Y/N) out of her tears. It had been the first time she had even held a kind gaze toward the girl, always throwing sarcastic comments or unnecessary jabs her way. But at that moment, she came to her as a friend.
“Let’s fix up that face,” she said. “Where’s the first aid kit?”
“Uh, um,” (Y/N) cleared her throat. “There’s one under the kitchen sink.”
“Let’s go.”
The blonde helped her up from the ground and followed her quietly into the kitchen. She didn’t throw snarky remarks her way or make fun of the way her face was most likely a disaster. All she did was remain silent and try to help.
Once the first aid bag was on the counter, Erica patted a stool to instruct the girl to sit. Something she very much obliged to before the werewolf set to work. She put on a pair of black gloves and set to clean the wound with cleansing wipes, clearing away any debris or tear that might have mixed with her blood.
“This is gonna sting a bit, okay?” Erica announced as she uncapped the liquid stitch bottle. “Do you need something to bite down on?”
“No,” (Y/N) smiled softly. “Go ahead.”
The girl winced softly as the liquid touched her skin, but it was quickly replaced with the comfort of Erica’s soft hands pinching the slash closed. She repeated the step two more times before cleaning the area once more and covering it with a gauze bandage. “There,” Erica said as she finished bandaging her arm as well. “The wound should breathe during the night to help with the healing. Try to keep it dry or without direct water contact for about five days, and you should be good.”
“Thanks,” she said. “You’re good at this.”
“I’ve had one too many falls not to be,” the girl chuckled as she put away the kit. “It’s actually the reason I’ve always wanted to become a doctor. I wanted to make sure no one else went through what I did.”
“Why can’t you?”
“At first it was because I was so behind in school, I’d never get the grades to get into a good school,” she shrugged. “Now, with the whole werewolf thing, I don’t think I could.”
“Why not? I think now it’ll be so much easier for you,” (Y/N) offered. “Now, you don’t have to deal with the seizures, and you can focus on your schoolwork. Later on, I’m sure any school would be begging to have you go there.”
“I don’t know,” the blonde sighed. “I guess, after seeing everything I have and going through what we have in such little time, I think med school seems stupid in the grand scheme of things. I would love to live a normal life, but I don’t think I was ever meant to. I mean, at first, it was epilepsy. Now, it’s the fact that I’m part wolf, part human, and I have yet to get that under control.”
Seeing Erica be vulnerable and sweet surprised (Y/N), and it was a welcome distraction to whatever it had been that had gone down with Derek. “You know this is going to end someday,” she tried to comfort her. “We’re gonna beat the Kanima, and the hunters will go back to their own lives. Life won’t always be like this.”
“How can you be so sure? Something tells me there’s always gonna be something in this town,” she chuckled dryly. “The only way to go back to normal is to leave.”
“Is that what you want? To leave Beacon Hills?”
“I mean, it’s a plan,” she shrugged as she sat beside (Y/N). “I didn’t think it would be like this. The constant looking over my shoulder, the fear that I’ll be caught, the fear that I’ll be killed. I wanted the strength, the power that came with being supernatural. But I didn’t really measure the danger that came with it. Unfortunately, not every hunter can be like you.”
“I think that’s the first time you’ve ever complimented me,” (Y/N) chuckled. “Don’t know how I feel about it.”
“Don’t get used to it,” the girl grinned. “But seriously, you have no reason to protect us like you have. I mean, apparently, even lovesick Allison turned on lover boy.”
“Yeah, grief makes you do unthinkable things,” she sighed. “Especially when you have a monster like Gerard whispering in your ear.”
“And he doesn’t whisper in yours?”
“God no. I don’t think he particularly likes my family. At least my dad and I.”
“Ooh, family drama?”
“None that I know the details of, but I know it has something to do with me and some woman from my dad’s past,” (Y/N) explained, remembering the not-so-hushed words from her parents. “Also, my dad sort of sides with the wolves rather than the hunters. He thinks their methods are too extreme and cause more harm than good. He told me he wants to change the group from the inside out, but it’s hard.”
“And you believe him?” Erica inquired, biting the skin from her fingers. (Y/N) could see she hadn’t noticed yet. It was something she did before turning, a way to calm her senses when everything seemed too much. “Do you really believe he’s on our side?”
“He helped me find Derek tonight, and he covered for me about the rave. I don’t think he would lie to me about that. My mom on the other hand…”
“Can’t stand us?”
“Yup.”
“Well, you can tell her the feeling is mutual.”
“Hey,” (Y/N) exclaimed with a smile. “That’s my mom you’re talking about.”
“No offense,” Erica laughed as she threw her arms up in surrender. “But seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever said this, but thank you, (Y/N). I’ve unnecessarily been a bitch to you, and you don’t deserve that. So, I’m sorry.”
“Am I really getting an apology from Erica Reyes? I think I might be dreaming.”
“Oh, come on,” she chuckled. “I’m trying to be serious here—vulnerable. I am grateful for what you’ve done for me, even when I was horrible to you. You didn’t have to.”
“Well, you got the bitch part down, I didn’t think I needed it, too,” (Y/N) grinned before she took Erica’s hand and smiled warmly. “But it means a lot that you apologized. Thank you. Maybe from here on out, we could be friends. I honestly need more in this town.”
“I think that would be great,” she beamed. “I’ve been needing a dose of estrogen after so many months surrounded by testosterone.”
As the girls laughed, footsteps came down the stairs and quickly joined them in the kitchen, followed by the pitter-patter of claws against the hardwood floor. “Well, look at these two fraternizing,” Isaac told Boyd. “Never thought I’d see the day.”
“I would be rude not to when it’s her house,” Boyd shrugged. “Which, again, thank you for letting us hide out here. We haven’t really received any other instruction from Derek.”
“Yeah, and I don’t think you will anytime soon.”
“What do you…?” Isaac’s words died in his throat as he noticed (Y/N)’s bandages and the smell of iron in the air. He was quick to rush to her side, inspecting her visible skin for any other wound. “What the hell happened?”
“Ah, just a small run-in with Jackson,” she shrugged as she knelt to pet Brody, scratching him on the spot behind his ears he loved so he wouldn’t worry about her. “I’ll be fine. I just don’t heal as fast as you guys do.”
“How serious was the cut?” Isaac asked Erica, knowing (Y/N) would only wave him off. “Was it deep? I knew I should have gone with you to the station.”
“It wasn’t deep enough to need stitches, Isaac. She’ll be fine.”
“Dude, calm down,” Boyd chuckled. “She’s tougher than she looks.”
“Thank you, Boyd,” she smiled toward the boy. “I really appreciate the vote of confidence. You should learn from him, Lahey.”
“Yeah, it’s all fun and games until you get seriously hurt,” he grumbled, crossing his arms across his chest. “I can’t believe I let you go there by yourself. I should have been there.”
“And risk getting caught by my grandfather? Absolutely not,” she reprimanded. “As a matter of fact, all of you need to lay low because while Jackson is still the Kanima, more hunters will keep flooding into town, and I don’t wanna risk any of you getting caught. If you need a place to stay, I think I can talk to my dad and help you guys out. Maybe tell my mom the basement flooded and keep you guys there?”
“Thanks, (Y/N),” Boyd smiled. “We’ll talk to Derek first. See what the next steps will be.”
“Yeah,” she scoffed lightly. “And if you can find out what the hell is going on with him in the meantime, I’d greatly appreciate it.”
The four of them spent the next hour in her kitchen, talking and laughing like normal teenagers until Erica and Boyd said they were too tired to still be awake and headed to (Y/N)’s room. But not before the girl turned and thanked Argent for giving her a night where she felt normal. After that, only Isaac and her were left downstairs.
They had moved into the living room, where (Y/N) rested her head on his lap, and Brody curled up right beside them. Henry had texted her that he and her mother would be staying over at Chris’ house and that he’d keep her posted on anything that would be going down.
“I don’t understand what happened, Isaac,” she sighed as she felt his hands running through her hair. “Everything was going great until just an hour ago. What made Derek change his mind?”
“Honestly, I wish I could tell you,” he said. “But Derek’s not one to really talk about what’s going on in his head. The only time he’s ever been nice to me is when you’re around. He’s quite a dick when you’re not around.”
“But he’s still your alpha.”
“It’s not like there are many options here,” he chuckled. “And I guess I feel a bit indebted to him. If it hadn’t been for the bite, I’m pretty sure I would have ended up in the hospital, or even worse…”
Isaac couldn’t bring himself to say the words, instead taking in a shuddering deep breath. (Y/N) could see his eyes getting cloudy with tears as fear overtook him. Even if that part of his life was buried, there was no way to repress the memories.
“I’m sorry you had to go through that, Isaac,” she responded quietly, taking his free hand in hers. “And I’m sorry you had to go through it alone. I wish I could have at least been your friend back then.”
“I think you came at the perfect time,” he smiled softly. “Just long enough to get my shy and adorable side and stay to see my resurgence into an amazing and confident werewolf teenager.”
“You know, some people would say cocky and self-absorbed.”
“Well, those people would be wrong,” he chuckled. “But you did come at the right time. Those last couple of months, you actually gave me hope. If we had spent more time together, I think I may have even refused the bite.”
“Would you have, really?” (Y/N) mused. “Would you have given it all up?”
“I think so,” Isaac shrugged. “I mean, people around us don’t seem disturbed by what’s going on in this town. All I would have to worry about is whether or not I could pass my classes, and well, social services I guess.”
“Not funny,” she reprimanded, slapping him softly on the chest. “But the supernatural does suit you.”
“It does, doesn’t it?”
“Oh, calm down, Lahey.”
“I’m just kidding, Argent,” the boy laughed. “As for Derek, all you have to do is give it time. He can be a moody one.”
“Something feels different this time, though,” she sighed. “I don’t know what it is, but something’s just off.”
The last thing Derek had wanted was to make her cry. Hearing her sobs through her door made his heart wrench in his chest, and all he could do was get as far away from her as he could. His legs took off in a soft run at first but quickly turned into a supernatural sprint that had his lungs aching for air. All he could do was run.
Soon enough, the scenery of houses and cars turned into trees and bushes. Leaves crunched under his feet, and branches snapped as he stepped on them. Even when a rock stood in his way and threatened to make him lose his balance, he simply kept running.
He wished (Y/N) knew that what he did had been for her own good. If she wasn’t by his side, there was no way she could be used as a bargaining chip. Especially not with Peter back. He didn’t trust his own life in the hands of his uncle; how could he entrust him with (Y/N)’s?
By the time he had reached his family’s house, his body ached all over. Frustration filled his veins, and his limbs ached with the need for violence. He let out an exasperating scream before his fist went through a wooden board. He didn’t know if he wanted to keep breaking down the house or just sit down and cry. As much as he wanted to be by (Y/N)’s side, he knew that the best thing for her would be for him to stay as far away as possible. He had lived long enough with loneliness, though none as hurtful as this one for a long time. (Y/N) would soon enough move on from him, and he’d be the one to carry the hurt. As long as Peter was in town and her family would punish her for her affiliations, he’d just have to stay away.

I was literally thinking about all the fics where Stiles is like "and then Derek pushed me around 🥺" like... Derek did the steering wheel thing because Stiles made him STRIP FOR A SIXTEEN YEAR OLD BOY.
I started to read an article that opened up by criticizing the "physically abusive sterek ship" and backed out immediately, like you people need to remember that the show exists and that is not based in reality.
Pack mom Stiles.... gah. Stiles would never help Isaac with his homework. Derek would!! But Stiles? Hell no.
Stiles is literally a fucking creep. He walks around telling everyone that he loves Lydia. He has no boundaries. I love him that way. He's a snarky little asshole who would definitely just show up in Derek's apartment one day and Derek would be like "how did you get in here?" And then Stiles reveals that he pretended to be a doordash driver with a delivery and then picked the lock on Derek's front door.
fun fact my url before this one was creeperderek. i am fond of that url. he of loitering at tree lines and creepily disappearing into shadows in the boy's locker room for no fucking reason.
stiles does have a lack of boundaries and really intense anxiety about the people he cares about.
he listens to the police scanner regularly and monitors his father's diet due to his intense, almost uncontrollable anxiety about his father. he's terrified his dad will die and has an intense fear it will because of him.
all of that of course stems from his mother's death when he was so, so young and how claudia in her cognitive decline blamed stiles and accused him of trying to kill her.
this anxiety also extends to scott and melissa to various degrees due to their significance to the stability of his life for so long and why he's irrationally scared to tell his father the truth despite knowing if the sheriff understood what was really happening it would help more than hinder.
than there's other things like how he has a copy to the key to the mccall house that melissa isn't aware of and it's made pretty clear that stiles took the imitative. scott didn't give it to him.
scott doesn't seem all that bothered by this but scott is one of the few people who knows and mostly understand stiles. they live in each other's pockets. scott would be oddly touched but also be like bro what in the fuck? because really, stiles what the fuck?
people find that fucking weird and creepy.
it truly wouldn't surprise me at all if stiles had a copy of the loft key and derek knew he did and said nothing about it because these two are weird little freaks that probably have frequently creeped on each other.
we do get indications they speak outside of what we're shown. two little maladjusted bastards sharing one brain cell to creep on each other.
if stiles showed up in derek's loft derek probably wouldn't even be surprised. in fact he'd tell stiles he took longer than expected, peter did it better and he sucked.
it's so funny that fandom developed the idea that derek sneaks into stiles's bedroom all the time via the window and we literally never see this. it never canonically happens. though it's not said how derek got inside in wolf's bane so maybe a window but frankly i find it more plausible derek just, you know, broke in the house via a door.
putting a read more on this because i had a lot to say lol
stiles and lydia. ooh boy.
sentiment within fandom swayed a lot on these two and i've seen the common argument that sterek fans don't like stydia as a paring because it's not gay, or something to which i say lol no. i, personally, don't ship them romantically because for like 2 seasons stiles didn't see her as person and she mostly ignored his entire existence.
he fixated on lydia in the 3rd grade which would've been around the time claudia declined and than passed away. he held onto that crush tightly, put lydia on a pedestal making her more into an ideal than a person.
there's moments where we see them genuinely connect but there's so many scenes between the two of them until like season 3 that are cringe and uncomfortable. my main issue is that lydia never really says much about it either.
it's like until she becomes a real girl to stiles her position doesn't matter even when we see her be uncomfortable or weirded out around stiles.
we actually do see stiles and derek develop boundaries with each other. stiles uses derek to literally queerbait danny in wolf's bane. both derek and danny seem to realize this as it occurs and derek pointedly, purposefully retaliates with violence which isn't great but it makes it clear that derek is not okay with what stiles did and a line had been crossed. s2 has derek also indicate to stiles it's not okay to touch without permission.
remember the finger tippy taps stiles's gives derek when boyd dies? that's stiles having learned derek's physical boundaries over 3 seasons so that he is able to offer him comfort in a awful, terrible moment.
in conclusion derek and stiles aren't abusive and it's odd people latched onto that idea. they're abrasive assholes to each other and lack boundaries in the beginning because their maladjusted people for various reasons while also just being two little freaks about each other.
