I hoe I am not bethering you but... MC Nathalie and Alix?

You’re not bothering me!

I’d probably make MC Natalie an unsympathetic villain whereas MC Gabriel would be the sympathetic villain. I’d like to have both types of villains and Natalie comes along later so it makes more sense to up the stakes with her.

At first, Natalie would just be Gabriel’s assistant. She’s morally-gray, not really leaning to either good or evil; she just wants to do her job. She’s not emotionless, but one could be fooled into thinking that considering how much composure she has.

Because Gabriel needs to keep quiet about his identity as Hawk Moth, it means that Natalie does basically everything for him. Gabriel normally would be able to take his calls and such, but he has to push those responsibilities on Natalie because he has to go do villain things.

It’s slightly annoying. Natalie eventually learns about Gabriel’s role as Hawk Moth (he hopes to recruit her for his “Catalyst” plan eventually) and she almost finds herself jealous of how much power he has. Like, not only is he her boss, but he’s this supervillain who can give powers to others too?

When akuma happen, Natalie can often be seen gazing out the window, watching whatever mayhem the akuma is causing. She doesn’t look on with fear or distaste though.

Rather, a curiosity.

Pre-”The Collector,” Natalie had seen the Peacock Miraculous in Gabriel’s safe. She felt tempted by it but chose not to take it; Gabriel would be too suspicious of her.

Gabriel had told her once before that the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous grant a certain wishing power when used together. Briefly, she wondered what she would wish for.

She dismisses the thought. Surely, she would never get that chance.

While she wasn’t romantically attracted to Gabriel, she was indeed interested and invested in the akuma situation, giving her enough drive to become akumatized into “Catalyst.”

However, things would take a turn partway through “Mayura.” As Hawk Moth is nearly beaten by the heroes, Natalie sees her chance.

Her opportunity.

She takes the Peacock Miraculous and transforms into Mayura. At first, she’s taken aback by the transformation. It feels interesting. Sleek. Different.

The Butterfly Miraculous takes a person’s emotions and transforms them into a supervillain. The Peacock Miraculous takes a person’s emotions and transforms the emotions into a monster all its own.

As Mayura feels the creation of Hawk Moth’s butterfly protection, which is able to blast all five heroes back with simple gusts of wind, she grins.

She feels powerful.

Once Gabriel is safely away and she’s ensured that the feathered connection between them is no longer active, she lets out a dark chuckle that echoes through the lair.

“Who has the power now, Gabriel?”

Like Gabriel, Natalie keeps her Miraculous hidden so it can’t be seen on her by default. Gabriel only realized days later that it’s missing, giving a reasonable timespan for him to consider who might’ve taken it (Natalie frequently cuts out security footage to make it harder to figure out). Because she still saved Gabriel and made sure there was footage of her putting the Peacock Miraculous back in the safe (however temporarily she did so), he doesn’t suspect her, so she can create monsters when he’s not paying attention.

She doesn’t want the Miraculouses to make any sort of wish. She wants them because she knows they have power. She would honestly take any Miraculous and even plans to take Gabriel’s eventually.

For Alix…

Alix would deck Chloe (or anyone who’s rude to her or her friends, for that matter) if she could, but maintains an impressive level of self-control. After all, the way Alix sees it, no one’s going to grow a spine if she solves everyone’s problems by pounding someone into the ground for them. Unless someone is attacking her specifically (or in a case where someone is being physically attacked and can’t defend themself), she stays out of things.

She’s not very strong physically, but she’s knowledgeable about how to take down someone larger than her by either using their own weight/posture against them or taking advantage of obvious weak points.

Speaking of knowledgable, she’s actually really well-versed in mythology/history, but she hates it. She’s heard so much of it from her father and brother (who ramble about it on a fairly consistent basis and she tends to be in the room at times) that it’s ingrained into her mind no matter how hard she tries to forget it. The first time there was a history assignment in class, Alix just slammed her head into her desk.

The teacher blinked, oblivious. “What’s wrong, Alix?”

“I’m a nerd. That’s what’s wrong.”

She also wears those shoes with the pop-out wheels so she can look cool when people are walking beside her while she just rolls along.

I see you’ve all been sleeping on Alim Kubdel. Couldn’t be me <3 glad everyone’s waking up though. I’m glad to see him finally be relevant again

I’m a bit confused about why adult Bunnyx was sending Alim in “our” time postcards instead of him in her time. Just so that he’d know she’s Bunnyx before it even happened? Plot bs?

Edit: I had this typed out and then I deleted it, but I saw other people mention it so I’ll edit it back in. Will Alix’s dad die??? I had the thought while watching that scene, but the tone was so cheerful I thought nahh it’s a kids show. If it’s true, though, NOOOOOO!!! Also, would it be something that happens during canon, or off-screen right between present and future Bunnyx time? Ik Alix is a pink-haired cartoon girl who just got her superpowers, but don’t orphan her! You have to make her the new MC of the series if you do. It’s anime law.

Edit 2 I can’t shut up: I remembered in Chat Blanc when people were theorizing that future Alix sentimentally holding on to this stuffed toy she won off Rose as a kid was meant to imply that Rose will succumb to her illness. If THAT’S true… *screaming and crying* if I had a nickel for every time future!Bunnyx showed up bringing a vague omen of someone’s impending death unrelated to the emergency at hand I’d have two nickels which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice.

Okay a little fandom salt here, warning: I’m seeing everyone talk about how cute Cannigirl (?) is, and imma be real, I feel like Miss Hound, Flairmidable, and her all have similarly designed and equally good suits. But when Penalteam came out the majority of people were shitting on Miss Hound saying she looks ugly? Idk I think if Miss hound has a bad design then so does Cannigirl and if Cannigirl has a good design than so does Miss Hound. Maybe everyone’s just gotten used to the Barkk drip after the initial expectations vs reality reveal in 4-24 but I’m starting to think a lot of you guys just play favorites big time…

I love Alix’s hat tho. It’s so cute, it’s like a newsboy cap or a Donald Duck hat. I love how Sabrina had a dog ear beret and she had a dog ear cap. It’s different and fits their characters. I also love that it turns rabbit-themed when she unifies. I kinda wish it was part of her usual design? Attention fan artists who draw the kids in alternate outfits: I need more hatlix.

I’ve been waiting to see if baby Bunnyx looks different from the big one, and she does! The white part of her suit on her belly is shaped like a romper in the present while in the future it’s shaped like a crop top. Edit: baby bun doesn’t have the circle thingies oh her mask. Present!Bunnyx has a black inside on her umbrella instead of white. Future!Bunnyx keeps her normal hair and piercings when she transforms but little Alix doesn’t have piercings yet and her hair stays similar, but changes ever so slightly. It’s the same length on all sides, is styled a little differently, and is a darker shade of pink. Reminds me of Caprikid’s hair change.

The DJWifi kiss. Man people have been rightfully complaining for the past forever that we didn’t see them really interact in Animan before coming back on screen and going, “oh yeah btw we like each other now”. This was an admittedly very clever way of addressing that. Still a little weird that they became so serious so fast, but oh well, we don’t know how long the tension was building up before Origins ‘cause they’ve been close for a long time and Animan was just the tipping point.

It was also funny how they re-contextualized the taxi joke from Reverser. Turns out Scaredy-Chat wasn’t exaggerating too much!

I saw someone say Nathalie is finally growing a backbone. More like she’s wearing one as an exoskeleton. She has a literal spine of steel now, but at what cost.

Something that I find really interesting is Alix talking about her interest in engineering. This is pretty much new info for us and it adds context to future Alix’s shirt with the gear with rabbit ears. It could also lead to development in her undeveloped friendship with Max by giving them something in common beyond being aspec.

They keep dropping new hobbies for the cast beyond their “one defining cartoon character interest”. They tell us that Kim likes running and swimming, Max likes playing games and programming, Marc likes writing, and also soccer/football. But I noticed that they’ve also gotten into talking about the kids’ career aspirations. Nino likes to DJ, but he wants to direct films. Luka likes playing music, but he plans to make stringed instruments for a living. Juleka likes music too, and she likes cosmetology, but she dreams of modeling. Alix likes skating and street art, but she plans to become an engineer.

Adrien has no idea what he likes, and Marinette has too many things to choose from, so it’s interesting to watch these side characters start to figure out their futures first. Ik a timeskip to the kids as adults wasn’t in the plans for s6/s7 as announced a long time ago by Astruc, but I’d love to see them grow up and have these different hobbies vs jobs. Who will follow their current interests into the pro level and who will take a totally unexpected path? I’m looking forward to seeing more of this from others in the present.

I hope they will do the pattern of recovering a miraculous one at a time and giving it to the holder permanently. As exciting as the love square resolution is, miraculous is so lonely to me without the side characters. Idk how it’d work out with the rings, like is the kwami actually in there? Is stealing a ring the same as recovering the miraculous? But we’ll see. They can’t episodically shoehorn meaningful side character moments into episodes that aren’t really about them.

Maybe the whole season is just the cat, bug, and rabbit, but that doesn’t make sense to me. If the show was originally planned to end at s5, you’re telling me the hero team was just never coming back until post-canon? That some of them were meant to have a combined screen time of 2 minutes over the whole show? It makes no sense. Plus, why drop transformation phrases for the Penalteam heroes if they’re not gonna actually transform for over a season? Chat said it himself, we’re getting them back one by one.

Maybe each and every episode won’t feature the hero for its miraculous, but they’ll get the kwami back anyways and make the holder permanent later at a time that makes sense? Idk

Poor 1940s Barkk is so innocent. She doesn’t know what’s coming. I mean, they pulled her out of Nazi-occupied France, so comparatively the present is in a much better place, but still.

Rabbit Noir was so cute. The neon blue under-eye weirdly works, but I feel like they could’ve done something different with the tails.

Let’s drink to all the Alix screen time yet to come. I told myself that my one expectation for this episode would be good Alix time, and I got it, so I must say I’m happy. Return of the queen.

About Multiplication: idk if Mylene will be relevant to this plot considering she wasn’t in the trailer and it’s gonna be big Adrienette time, but in Mega Leech the filter thing they were protesting was a Tsurugi company product, and Ikari Gozen is quite literally a Tsurugi car. Could there be a connection? Is Mylene gonna bring her environmental concerns up to Tomoe directly? Will she help defeat her? No clue how they’re actually gonna do it ‘cause no lucky charm or cataclysm alone will defeat an army of giant samurai sports car centaurs deliberately wrecking Paris. (If you steal the mouse ring off one of the clones will it be the same as taking it when they’re all combined?)

I should introduce myself one day

Damn, I like to lurk and give my opinions but I really should make an introduction before being considered like some creeps you have no info on them but they are here in your followers and they never say a word to you but like your posts

Sooo my pseudo is a mix of Amano and Tsukyo just because I don’t want to have sus people bugging me with their immaturity if they know me as Amano in some games, but you can call me just “Ama” with this so “Ama-Tsukyo”

I’m half belgian half sicilian but I live in Belgium with the french community, I don’t want people think I’m 20 yo forever because I was lazy to change it so my birthdate is the 3rd July 2001

I don’t like to talk for nothing, that’s why I end up being a lurker, I’m kinda a mix sarcasm and jokes. Some call me funny, interesting and wise when others find me bad or weird, depends on the situation and person.

Well, I’ve finished with the “basic” intro so here’s when it becomes weird :

I’m sort of a mess with my likings and hobbies, I like to watch, play and read everything I find interesting with a true story in it but I don’t like books, too popular things, chinese & korean dub and bad graphisms so I have a strong distaste against Dragon Ball, I don’t like One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, etc... in animes, adding the ones with girls abundance cliché/harem, also Minecraft, Roblox, League of Legends, Fortnite and Genshin Impact games wise. 

Since I’m already in the blacklist of some with this first line, here’s my favorites : Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Pokémon, Miraculous Ladybug and Undertale/deltarune. I like comedy, action, adventure, detective, mystery, romance and fantasy genres the most.

And since I like to lose more people with my tastes, I can talk about the characters I like :

Adrien Agreste (MLB) gets on my nerves after Puppeteer 2 where he already hurts Marinette too much to my taste, I’m not known for my patience.

Eri (MHA) is too pitiful and loveable, like people coo at her and she has to be seen adorable.

Goh (Pokémon) is a cheater, he catches too easily the poké’, doesn’t have any real good relationship with his pkmn and he has a shitty goal like when you’d think Mew will come at you just because you catch all the poké’ in the world.

Furomitsu Seiko (Mystery to Iunakare) is a weak woman and a stalker who crush on the MC for nothing and he doesn’t seem interested at all

If there’s people who didn’t block me or put in their blacklist at the end of this introduction, nice to meet you all and I hope we get along well

I’m torn because... on one hand, I want to give proper mythology and such for like--anything that’d be put into the show, but on the other, I liked the idea that Alix’s brother was just sort of a conspiracy who thought of stupid stuff (which is why I kept the concept for MC Jalil Kubdel).

Zoe did it really well in Scarlet Lady where Alix knew the actual mythology and started blurting it out whenever Jalil got it wrong.

New Asks:

Considering “Ikari Gozen,” I imagine Alya and Kagami don’t get along as well. I agree with basically everyone that Marinette and Kagami not getting along is bad, but Alya and Kagami not really getting along makes more sense and is more tolerable.

Since Alya is Marinette’s “““BFF”““ (supposedly), I could see her kind of being like, “You’re competing with my girl over the same guy,” and keeping Kagami at arm’s length, worried that keeping Kagami close will allow Kagami to be closer to Adrien since Adrien is an extension of their friend group (kinda, sorta, not really, but Marinette calling him a friend so technically--)

You know, Alya trying to be a good friend and help Marinette with Adrien in more subtle ways. It’s the wrong way to go about it but she’s trying.

LUKANETTE IS AMAZING IN TERMS OF PROGRESSION KDJNGJDFG, I ADORE IT. Every episode they share together, we either learn something new about them or see more details on their relationship.

I think I was already all-in before “Silencer,” but man, that episode just sealed it even more. I was like well dang, why does the love square even EXIST???

He’ll believe it if it’s Chat Noir who’s doing it. If Marinette ever does it though, he’ll be sure to shut it down. ;P

Ugggggh, the worst part is that I have the same exact fear that they really are going to be like yeah Ladybug you silly fool Chat Noir has been with you since the beginning!

I mean, we’re already basically getting that with the New York special; Chat was supposed to protect Paris and then didn’t tell Ladybug that he “had to” leave for New York (and the New York thing is inadvertently Marinette’s fault and parts of the fandom actually did blame her for it even though it was Chat’s choice not to say anything), then Ladybug gets upset with him when she discovers it mid-battle, which leads to Chat being distracted and Cataclysming someone (another thing that Ladybug can be “inadvertently” blamed for), then Chat gives up his miraculous so Ladybug isn’t even allowed to be angry and cue the later line of “I can’t imagine being Ladybug without... him.”

So clearly that’s saying something. Adrien doesn’t get anything close to that level and Marinette is chewed out for not asking him to stay when Nino had already asked him too.

It’s like--Marinette chooses to go after Adrien and then gets either nothing in return, or humiliated by the narrative, and then in the New York special, she decides to do nothing and everything still goes wrong while Alya yells at her for it. The “damned if she does, damned if she don’t,” on display is stunning. The girl tries to confess and it’s like, “no, not allowed, but Chat is allowed to confess.”

I still don’t understand this logic of his overarching plot but also “there’s not much of a timeline.” I think the only solid thing we’ve ever gotten was something about all the episodes in one season coming after all the episodes in a previous one, but there are still things that don’t add up? The only thing the season 3 production order will give is making sure the hero debuts work out (so no Viperion or Pegase before “Party Crasher,” for example).

It’s not really reliable. I mean, like--I’ve been experimenting with timelines for a while, and stuff like “Miraculer” baffles me. It’s basically non-canon with no value whatsoever. All it does is make “Heart Hunter” look even more confusing and treats Marinette even more horribly for not picking Chloe when she explicitly told Chloe that she wasn’t getting it back.

I’m not familiar with that one! Is it any good?

Lila is totally Rashta, 100% agree. The fact that the comments have a nickname of “Trashta” for her, equivalent to Liar Rossi, says as much ;P

Because lessons that involve telling someone that they’re valid and allowed to feel a certain way don’t apply to Marinette. Isn’t it nice? :3

And yeah, I’m not really capable of not analyzing shows. There are some small exceptions, but they’re usually not full shows in the normal sense. If there’s an ongoing plot, my mind tends to be working at all times.

In terms of Miraculous, Season 1 was harmless enough where I was bothered but pretty quiet about it, but then it just got progressively worse. It really feels like one of those things you can’t unsee when it finally hits you, y’know?

Gonna go point by point here:

1 - Yeah, the whole thing with Homura not “being able” to save everyone... kinda questionable, and I didn’t really buy the arguments they used to explain it away. I think there was this one PSP game or something with Madoka Magica where you could kind of choose what happened (like, there were bad ends where Sayaka didn’t get her soul gem back in time and her body was partially decayed; ick) and I think there’s a good end where Homura saves everyone but--yeah, not canon.

I just don’t care for twisted stories like that unless there is actually a good end on the horizon (and I mean like “Everyone Lives and is Happy” good end). Angst is just so exhausting so the second I saw Mami’s head being bitten I was just like, “Ah, okay, so we’re doing this then.”

2 - Eugh, the sexism thing. It’s so... yeah, and especially this because the whole “girls are emotional” thing, I don’t really care whether or not the show is trying to “subvert” or “explain” anything, it just feels like poor taste and I don’t like it. (I also didn’t know about that Death Note thing because I didn’t watch it, but geez.)

3 - Wow, I’ve been away from the show for so long that I forgot what Mami’s wish was; I thought it was to “not be alone” or something (or maybe not die alone?? I really don’t remember), but either way, the fact that it follows some sort of genie wish logic is just--*sigh*--they’re teenage girls, come on (plus, the “genie wish logic” is really overdone to me anyway).

4 - The other thing about Sayaka is that it’s really predictable that she’d “die so quickly.” Basically everything was pointing to her just being annihilated at some point, and being Madoka’s best friend, it was pretty inevitable that she’d go.

((semi-unrelated, but someone also asked me which character’s name was lied about before episode 3 hit and they wondered if it was Sayaka’s; it was Kyubey’s))

Anyway, I guess I’m not experienced enough in multiple fandoms to say for sure? If I was ever in a fandom, I would just blacklist the people/stuff I didn’t like, so I didn’t get to see a tong of “bad things” going on.

I think the main ship from Given (Mafuyu and Ritsuka) is really adorable (you might’ve seen the amusing video of their love being mutual before), and while I would’ve said the same thing for the kinda-sorta side ship, it gets--uh... really bad during the movie/rest of the manga, I’ll just say that much.

Inuyasha kinda? Though Inuyasha and Kagome are definitely not the kind of romantic chemistry that I lean towards (I find “the bickering couple” to be rather exhausting). Plus, Cardcaptor Sakura did the “male tsundere” better than Inuyasha did (though the Clear Card Arc was terrible, at least it’s not canon kinda-sorta? idk it seems like a mix of the anime and manga so...).

I mean, there’s probably a couple more examples somewhere, but--yeah, I’ve got nothing. Maybe if I thought back to all the generic children shows I watched when I was little (like those old Disney live-action shows; I had no taste when I was younger), there might’ve been something that satisfied kid me but idk.

I don’t remember what post inspired this, but I have no problem answering regardless, ahaha~

My main issue is Aang’s attitude about the whole thing. I’m not saying it was right of Katara to go out and get “revenge via murder” exactly, but I also think that Zuko had the right idea with allowing her to go and face the man who killed her mother so she could get some form of closure (also note that Zuko doesn’t express any sort of opinion when Katara decides not to kill him; he just wanted her to have whatever she thought she needed to heal).

It’s also the episode where Zuko directly confronts Aang on his “violence isn’t the answer” rhetoric which then goes completely ignored as Aang lionturtles his way out of the conflict. Aang is also not confronted on his point of “forgiveness is the first step to healing” (when Katara has a right not to forgive and Aang isn’t challenged outside of Katara commenting on it) and was permitted to ride his high horse when Katara “steals” Appa like, “It's okay, because I forgive you... that give you any ideas?” which is just--

reaaaaaally "holier than thou”-esque when Aang is like, ten, and Katara is a sort of motherly figure to him. The episode even has Sokka praise Aang for how “wise” he is and I groaned through the entire thing.

Another smaller thing is that it sort of makes the air kingdom look way too “perfect” by having Aang be the “source of wisedom,” especially when it’s like “violence isn’t the answer” while all the other airbenders are dead.
