They got there before the restaurant got busy so they were seated right away.

Unfortunately their waitress was a bit nervous about serving the mayor of another city and spilled Marcel’s salad all over Sophia’s lap.

After a lot of apologizing from the waitress and reassurances from the Jocques that it was fine they were served new dishes (placed on the table this time) and the rest of their meal passed rather uneventfully.

Except today, she took the night off so the family could go out for dinner together when Marcel got back from work.

Sophia and Marcel try to squeeze in as much time with Theodore as they can before his birthday. I would have recommended not throwing him through the ceiling but he seems to be alright.

Sophia went to work a bit worried she’d come home to more blackmail demands but it seemed whoever had called was satisfied with the money they’d left and all that happened was she got a promotion.

On the last day of the round Marcel came back with a promotion to waiter and tried to befriend his coworker Jessie Pilferson.

And to end the round Sophia also came home with a promotion later that evening.

It was the weekend so Theodore didn’t start school right away and got to sleep in on his first day as a child and then he spent the day with his mom since Sophia now works nights.

Before long it’s time for another birthday celebration. I forced everybody into their everyday clothes mostly because I was tired of seeing Marcel’s underpants. Unfortunately it was too late in the day for Violet to come over to celebrate with them but she sent her best wishes.

Theo’s newest trait is artistic which is not demonstrated at all with him splashing in a puddle in the bathroom, but his parents did get him an easel for his room and he’s been painting up a storm ever since.

Sophia gets a bad chance card while she’s at work but she still ends up with a promotion, she’s slowly climbing that career ladder to become a prestidigitator.

Then it’s straight into toddler training. Unfortunately Marcel and Sophia had pretty similar hours so Marcel took some time off to watch Theodore since Sophia’s job was working towards her LTW and Marcel could work on his LTW when Theodore was napping.

Over at the Jocque house Marcel is confronted with a bizarre phone call shortly after Violet leaves for school.

Marcel: Good morning Jocque residence. [...] No my wife is the mayor I can go get her. May I know whose calling?

Marcel: Whoa whoa whoa hold on! What?!

Marcel: No, no there’s no need for that...We’ll get you the money just give us some time to get it together. Yes I understand, where do you want us to leave it? Alright I’ll tell her.

After hanging up Marcel told his wife about the mystery caller’s request and they reluctantly agreed to leave the money in the mailbox and inform the authorities  in order to keep their children safe.

Sophia: Do I need to negotiate a peace treaty with aliens now?

Cassandra: I don’t think so this has been going on for years.
