The Nights
If only Night could have a speech,
It would told you how broken I was,
How tears rolled down my eyes every night,
But not a single speech of word from my mouth,
It would have told you about my true colours that I let out during the dark,
A part that even I don't show myself during the day or to the day as well,
It are these nights that fill me of my emotions,
Nights of loneliness, nights of sadness, nights of love, joy and nights of happiness,
Me sitting on my balcony watching the flights land onto the surface,
Those flashing red, white and green lights,
Reminding me of my life,
Those green lights that I should have taken but was covered in red by my eyes,
Stopping me from what I wanted to achieve,
Those red lights where I should've stopped and thought,
But I didn't, cause of my blurry eyes making me think that it was green and went forward with it,
Making all those mistakes,
Now I wave a white flag all around, saying I have surrendered, that I am DONE,
Not wanting to go for those lights anymore,
So now, I sit in my balcony,
Seeing the grey clouds that pass by,
And all those flights that flash lights.

[ad_1] Prime Minister Narendra Modi witnessed a presentation of the Ramayan in Brazil on Tuesday and expressed his appreciation at the enactment. Taking to social media platform X, the PM said, “Met Jonas Masetti and his team. I had mentioned him during one of the #MannKiBaat programmes for his passion towards Vedanta and the Gita”. Met Jonas Masetti and his team. I had mentioned him during one of the #MannKiBaat programmes for his passion towards Vedanta and the Gita. His team presented glimpses of the Ramayan in Sanskrit. It is commendable how Indian culture is making an impact all over the world. pic.twitter.com/4Voy0OKt9X — Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) November 20, 2024 PM appreciated the endeavour and said, “His team presented glimpses of the Ramayan in Sanskrit. It is commendable how Indian culture is making an impact all over the world”. The Ramayan was performed by the students of Vishwa Vidya Gurukulam, a Brazilian organisation dedicated to promoting Vedanta and Sanskrit. The founder of Vishwa Vidya Gurukulam, Jonas Masetti, also known as Acharya Vishwanath, welcomed PM Modi by reciting ‘Sanskrit Mantra’. Speaking with ANI, Masetti said Ramayan is a tribute to ‘Dharm’.” “Ramayan is a tribute to Dharm. Ram represents Dharm and performing Ramayan and being in touch with Ram Katha is a way of purifying ourselves and having a better way of living. It took about six years (to prepare). We were very nervous and emotional in the beginning because it meant a lot to us,” he said. Masetti said that PM Modi was “very impacted” by the performance. He also encouraged Indian youth to believe in the Indian way of life. “I’m very glad that he could receive that… I get very sad when I hear that the youth in India are not so much interested in the Vedic tradition and all the old ways. I have to tell you that the way of the West, you think, is very dry and very poor, so don’t fall for that. You have a very nice culture inside your home,” he said. PM Modi is on a three-nation visit to Brazil, where he attended the G20 Leaders’ Summit and interacted with various people. During his visit, the Prime Minister appreciated various cultural performances that brought attention to the depth and diversity of Indian culture. [ad_2] Source link
