My headcanon is that the Jaegers accept and tolerate but don’t exactly like the manbun. Like, Grisha is the only one who genuinely likes it, because he too had a rebel phase in his youth. Carla admits it suits Eren, but cmon, she’s probably the one who dressed him up as a normie, bought his clothes and everything. She thinks he’d more handsome along those lines. Zeke is more old fashioned and thinks Eren would be more dashing with short hair. Eren’s grandparents are however super traditional with clothing and call Eren a ‘metalhead’

I 100% cosign Carla buying all his clothes. It's a running joke in Clueless Teens lol. However, I also see her as a former wild child, so I kind of think she sees Eren looking alternative and remembers her hell-raising days.
