I absolutely love the difference in the way that Jackson Lamb and River Cartwright go about being spies.
Lamb takes in a piece of information, forms a hypothesis, then pretends he doesn’t know or understand that information in order to learn more from people refuting him. He uses his position as a chronically dislikable prick to pull information out of people who don’t want to deal with him, or want to put him in his place. He’s careful, so much smarter than he looks, and he only approaches a solution once he has all the pieces comfortably under control.
River hears one piece of entirely unverified information and sprints face-first into some drywall to try and save the day.

re-watching a few episodes of doctor who and it always amuses me how companions are like “oh talking to a machine now aren’t I” when the Doctor isn’t around and they try to get the Tardis to help (like Martha in Human Nature for example)
and I’m like dude… i pat my car when she works nicely, i scold my phone when it’s not working properly and i argue with my computer on a daily basis
my brother in christ me and the Tardis would be bffs in under a day. I would be talking to her more than i would talk to the doctor
like I wouldn’t even need the traveling just me and the Tardis gossiping like old ladies, drinking tea and making fun of the Doctor.

nen is straight up the best bullshit shonen power system because 1. togashi is just INCREDIBLY creative with the stupid powers he gives his characters in a way probably only rivaled by stand fuckery but also 2. unlike stands nen comes with the understand that this is a powerset you have had to develop and cultivate from the ground up. so when you see someone like Kite with his stupid clown slot machine that he hates its just like. dude. you did that. you spent hundreds of hours meditating or whatever to manifest the clown slot machine on purpose. you could have done something else.

This is so interesting to me, haha just indulge me for a moment…
I’ve seen some arguments of people saying that Tharn gave in too easily when Phaya was apologizing on the verge of a full on break down in the hall at work… and I just don’t think that’s true, because in that moment it’s not ‘we just met 6 months ago’ (or however long it’s been) Phaya and Tharn talking, it’s the ‘we’ve been fated for multiple lifetimes’ Phaya and Tharn… I think we all need to remember that regular rules of engagement don’t necessarily apply to Phaya and Tharn, they’re dealing with a whole other set of circumstances… while Tharn obviously may not be thinking “oh my one true love for centuries is about to have a full on break down I need to fix this because I can’t stand seeing him upset” I do feel that Tharn sees just how distressed Phaya is and he understands, having felt the same way whenever Phayas been in danger, that these emotions are bigger than Phaya, difficult to understand and even harder to control. If he doesn’t forgive (which lets he honest he already did a long time ago, he’s just been too stubborn to say it) him, he himself won’t be able to go on feeling anywhere near okay knowing just how upset Phaya is…
This isn’t the reconciliation of a pair of workplace acquaintances turned best friends with mutual crushes on each other, it’s more akin to that of a couple who’s been together for a decade. Both Phaya and Tharn have admitted multiple times that they feel as tho they’ve known each other far longer than they actually have, so I think it makes a lot of sense to view their entire relationship through the lens of: it’s the feelings and emotions of a long term, deeply committed relationship just without the time line it would normally take to get there.

So I’m sure we all know that Kishou Arima is a half human. Born form yk a ghoul and human. But I was thinking, if Arima was more leaning to the ghoul side and had a Kagune what type of Kagune would he have?
I believe the Arima would have a Rinkaku. Known for being swift and flexible (though also frail and easily to destroy). A Rinkaku would be able to keep up with the speed that Kishou fights with. As he’s constantly maneuvering and dodge swiftly so he would have a kagune that matches that speed.
Yeah, so that’s just what I believe. Comment if you have a difference in opinion.
Comment if you want to think about what other characters kagune types would be if they were a ghoul.

Eliot: I'm not walking away. That's not my job. My job is to get your back. And Nate, I'm going to do it all the way down. But I need you to do your job.
Nate: And what's that?
Parker: Be Nathan Ford. Be the person we came back for.
When Nate orders them to leave him behind, he says, "Get them on the chopper!" He says that to Eliot, who does just that. He gets them on the chopper. Because he's got Nate's back all the way down.

I know a lot of people are disappointed that Janine and Gregory didn't get together in the season finale but honestly? I feel like they handled it perfectly, and it just reminded me how well-written this show is.
Navigating being single, independent, and prioritising herself is exactly what Janine needs right now and I feel like it'll make her ready for a long-term relationship with Gregory later down the line.
The tension next season is going to be the death of me though I just know it.

oh my goodness I love this story with my entire being T-T
hello everybody! these sketches aren't in any way polished yet, but I just had to get some of my creative energy out after watching the amazing frieren anime and starting to catch up on the manga!!
the animation and worldbuilding is so incredibly gorgeous, which along with the wonderfully serene music and great writing makes for such a beautiful show!
the pacing is so masterfully done as well, I felt like I could simultaneously relax and be incredibly excited for the next episode, which is a feeling I've only gotten while reading a select few of my favourite books!
I would recommend it to anybody who loves to immerse themselves into fantasy worlds. there's just so much to enjoy about it!

Ruby Rose was never someone who was happy-go-lucky because she believed the world was happy-go-lucky. She's someone who saw the apocalyptic world around her and said that if she wasn't the optimistic and bubbly leader she is, then the Grimm would have already won.
She's not optimistic in a grim world because she's ignorant, she's optimistic because she knows the truth too well.
Not being permanently happy for the betterment of others means Salem already won. That Ruby lost.
That is how "to Ruby Rose," as Little would put it.
