glancing around the mall, you looked for yet another clothing store. not that you wanted to spend all of your boyfriend’s money, you just needed a new winter coat.

speaking of him, jay had two bags on each arm as he followed close behind. he’d said he would carry your bags and buy everything you got while you were out today. including food.

and it’s not like you willingly took the offer. he insisted on the fact that he’d spoil you today.

“what’re you looking for, love?” he asked, bringing you out of your frantic glances.

“h&m.”

“h&m?”

“uh huh, i need a new coat.” you said, continuing your search.

he hummed, watching you do your thing.

“honey, i think it’s this way.” he said smiling slightly, pointing straight.

and he was right. there was the bright red ‘H&M’ logo.

“ah, you’re a lifesaver.” you turned, placing your hands on the sides of his face to give him a quick peck.

running towards the store with a smile on your face, you went straight for the coat rack and whatever else you liked.

jay eventually caught up, standing a few inches behind you. he still had a smile on his face, seeing you all excited about certain things made him happy. especially if it meant he could get them for you.

you looked in the store for about ten minutes after picking out the cutest coat you could find.

“is there anything else you want, baby? any other store you wanna go to before we leave?”

“umm.. no, but i do wanna check out sephora again.” you bit your lip, thinking of any other stores to visit but only choosing one.

“if that’s okay with you.”

“of course it’s okay, that’s why i asked.”

“jay, i don’t wanna be the reason you go bankrupt, you know i could spend hours in here.”

“i know. and i also don’t care,” he kissed the side of your head. “if i go bankrupt, at least it’s because of you.”

Swan Song is the 14th mini album by La Vie under Rainbow Entertainment. It was released on June 1st, 2024. The album features 6 tracks plus a secret track on physical copies of the album, with Heartbeat Rhythm being the title track. It is available both physically and digitally.

La Vie promoted the album for 3 weeks in total. Heartbeat Rhythm peaked at 3 on the Circle Chart. The title track also charted on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at 30. La Vie won 4 music show awards for Heartbeat Rhythm.

♡ .   it wasnt until anya went on life during promotions for the album and saw the influx of questions about disbandment did she deny the rumors

♡ .   "disbanding? no, we're not disbanding," she laughed, bringing a hand up to cover her mouth. "as far as i know, at least," she teased before moving on.

♡ .   the biggest thing that marred this era was the all-out war brought on by mari's single release only a few days after the album was dropped

♡ .   the audio on tiktok was filled with edits of sunnie and sol almost immediately, and it started a trend with other wlw and lgbt ships as well, and pretty soon the song became the poster of gay relationships on the app

♡ .   it's unclear whether sol knew about the trend or not, but she did post a story to instagram featuring a table set for two with the audio overtop, sending the shippers into even more of a frenzy

♡ .   the group reprised a beloved series, lovie's fruit stand, with lovie lake, a series where the girls stayed in a cabin together on a lake in the mountains, relaxing and doing summer activities together such as having a barbecue, singing around a campfire, and even swimming in the lake

♡ .   the fans love the relaxing and cozy content from this series, and photo of anya lounging in an innertube on the lake unaware of star approaching mischievously in the background became a new reaction image that made the rounds all over stan twitter

wouldn't be bad,, but he wouldn't be the best either. like he's actually pretty good dont doubt his abilities. every time he loses he sits back and sighs in disappointment so he doesn't rage and break his controller/keyboard. his building skills are okay,, he genuinely just doesn't like to build so he doesn't most of the time but when he does he's not the worst ever. his aim is quite on point too.

would be actually kinda good surprise surprise omg. he would usually always carry in game and if it's solos he's always in the top 30s. actually so good at building i can see the vision do u see the vision ??? like 😧😧 its kinda scary. def has a sweat skin that he uses cause he won the most with it. every time he loses he sits there and laughs for like half a minute before loading into a new game because he doesn't wanna show his inner rage cause he lost to a 12 y.o.

he's okay. the only reason he would be good is to make the 8 year olds mad and he can actually be kinda good when he wants to but hes often just lazy w it like okay. his building is alright he doesn't care for it but like sometimes he puts in some effort yk??? like okay i see u n ur lil house. an add on to him making the 8 year olds rage when the 8 year olds make HIM rage he RAGES ... probably starts singing because he's that mad it's acc funny. high notes instead of screams. also his aim kinda... sucks most of the time but it's okay cause it's haechan.

plays for fun. when he loses he laughs it doesn't matter it's just a game 🤷🏽‍♀️ likes the skins a lot he changes like every game too and doesn't get how his members don't. likes to drag down his team in game and laugh when everyone loses cause of him cause it's just funny and why not. tries befriending enemies too,,, the moment he's shot at he's teabagging and emoting. genuinely doesn't really have a clue what he's doing but hey he's smiling. also can't built and just straight up admits that.

for two weeks, your boyfriend had rambled about getting to see his family and all the places he would take them.

it was a disappointment to you both when the company had let him down at the last minute, telling him that he had a schedule instead.

they had canceled his flight without telling him. even going as far as returning his ticket because they had things to do.

you placed kisses on the side of his head and down to his neck. he stared at the wall in your shared bedroom, thinking about his mom and dad. they wouldn’t even be able to see their son on his 18th birthday.

niki sighed quietly as you continued your small kisses, whispering reassuring words in between.

“i’m sorry.”

he shook his head, readjusting himself.

“s’not your fault.”

“i know, but-“ you sighed, rubbing his arm.

“you don’t deserve that, ki.”

“let me make you breakfast at least? i want you to get up at some point today, it’s your birthday, babe.”

he turned over toward you, burying his face into your chest while letting you wrap your arms around him.

your fingers found their way to his highlighted hair, combing your fingers through it. he sighed once again, very content with your embrace.

he closed his eyes before replying, “please,”

“but can we stay here for a little? you make me forget about everything.” he opened his eyes again, his sharp eyes seemed to soften now.

you nodded your head, placing a kiss on his.

“of course. but you know you have that live later on.”

he scoffed at the thought of having to leave you but nodded.

he pecked your lips twice before going back in his spot on your chest, throwing a leg over you.

walking back to your bedroom where your boyfriend called for you, you carried the piping hot tea you promised him.

“baby,” san whined once again, his hoarse voice stopping him from being able to yell.

“yes, san?” you answered for the fifth time, sighing.

“baby, it hurts.”

“i know, babe. that’s why you have to drink this.” you placed the tea on the bedside table making his face scrunch in disgust.

“no,” he whined again, dragging out the ‘no’ and slouching in his spot in your shared bed.

you sat next to him, feeling his forehead. his cheeks were still flushed with much color and he was still a bit warm like earlier.

he swatted at your hand, turning his face to stuff it into the pillow.

“san, stop, you still have a fever.” you brought your hand back to its place. taking care of san when he was sick was always a hassle. he could either be extra clingy or really stubborn.

now was clearly one of those times where he felt like being stubborn. it was like caring for a little kid.

he groaned in annoyance and pain, shifting onto his back again.

“baby, i know you hate being sick but let me take care of you.”

he swiftly wrapped his arms around you, pulling you on top of him.

“you could take care of me in other ways.” he puckered his lips, bringing you closer.

“no! absolutely not, san!” you pushed his face away gently, scrambling to get up but his grip stopping you.

he smiled a bit, but quickly replacing it with a faux pout.

“please, babe?”

“you’re not getting me sick, choi.”

he whined at the use of his surname, holding you tighter.

“that’s not my name.”

“yes, it is. no one told you to go outside while it was snowing and stick your tongue in the air. now, drink your tea.”

“hmm, i’ll drink it when you give me a kiss.”

“hmm.. no.”

walking into the warm walls of home, jake’s cheeks were painted pink from the cold.

you heard the door close, figuring it was him. he began pulling his coat off himself before you appeared in front of him, grabbing the wet material from his hands to place it elsewhere for the time being.

he watched you move around in silence, eventually coming over to take his hand.

he was actually confused, seeing as the both of you had had a big disagreement only a few hours before.

but he wasn’t complaining. he loved when you took care of him. even if it meant he’d be getting a little bit of silent treatment.

you guided jake over to the couch, leading him to take a seat while you went off to the kitchen.

the hot cocoa you made for him had finished in time, so you poured it into a mug, being careful of the steaming liquid.

you wrapped the mug with a piece of fabric, hoping it would protect jake‘s hands from the heat.

after bringing it to the living room, he took it from your hands, giving you a quiet ‘thank you’.

he took a small sip, humming at the warmth of the beverage.

it was silent for a bit before he spoke.

“..a-are you still mad?” his eyes were wide and sparkly, unintentionally giving you his signature puppy look.

“no, jaeyun. just.. thinking.”

he hated when you used his real name but he knew you only did that when you were serious.

“‘m sorry, babe. really.”

“me too. i’m sorry.”

you continued to pout, bringing yourself to hug jake. your arms wrapped around his neck as he tightly embraced you.

he whispered apologies into your hair, kissing the side of your head.

“let’s not fight anymore, okay?”

“‘kay.” you responded quietly.

“merry christmas, jake.”

“merry christmas, baby.”
