Biases:
- SKZ : OT8 !! Changbin is my ult bias!!
- ATEEZ : OT8 !!
- ENHA : Ni-Ki and Sunghoon biased !!
- XG : Cocona all the way🫡
- PsyFe : Jimmy, Ryushin and Kokoro biased !!
- P1H : Jeongseob and Soul biased !!
- XIKERS : Yechan and Sumin biased !!
- TxT : Beomgyu biased !!
- Been writing since middle school, stopped writing for fun in high school and picked it back up after my first year in college.
- Constructive criticism is completely accepted as I'm trying to get back into writing !!
Top groups : Stray Kids, ATEEZ, Enhypen, XG (X-Pop), Psychic Fever (J-Pop), P1Harmony, Xikers, and Tomorrow by Together.
Top Non-Kpop (and of the sort) Artists : Arctic Monkeys, System of a Down, Måneskin, Skindred, AC/DC (and more, but I'm lazy.)
- My story on how I got into K-pop is long, but let me cut it short for you! ↓↓
: 2019 - Randomly found an ATEEZHello82 interview during their ‘Wonderland’ promotions, became obsessed with the song, and added it to my playlist. Couple days later, I found a Kard Interview from their ‘Bomb Bomb’ promotions from a couple months earlier, became obsessed with the song, and also added it to my playlist. Couple days later, found ‘Boy With Luv’ by BTS, and while I didn’t like the song much, I enjoyed the video and was interested, leading me to look into them. BTS was the first group I stanned.
: 2020 - Introduced my older cousin to BTS and she became obsessed, obsessed to the point where she claimed biases and told me i couldn’t favorite the same songs as her or even bias the same members, this put me off and I slowly drifted from them.
: 2021 - Forgot that the BTS songs, ‘Wonderland’ and ‘Bomb Bomb’ were Kpop and I listened to them as if it was the like the rest of the music in my playlist, (except it wasn’t, i used to not separate my playlists so it was a jumbled mess of 80’s, Childish Gambino, Nu-Metal, Skindred, SOAD, Rock, Arctic Monkeys (literally their whole discography) and Måneskin. (so many more artists but im too lazy, basically, i listen to everything)
: 2022 : Early 2022 - Removed the Kpop songs from my playlist, leading me to forget about them. Late 2022 (Around October) - Asked my best friend who was very much into Kpop to recommend me some music, and I looked into it.
: 2023 (April) - Had a bunch of Kpop songs in a separate playlist, and came across a Kpop in public video, the song in it was ‘Maniac’ by SKZ which I then became obsessed with, that song led me to ‘Case 143’ which i listened to for months, and it intriguedme to the point where I thought “I HAVE to stan this group” and I looked into a guide. Then, 2023 (May) I fully considered myself both a Stay and a Kpop stan.
Later in the month: Started stanning other groups.
There's my story of how I got into K-pop, it's the shortest I could make it 😔.

I think their label believes a lot in Damiano's potential as a solo artist. Just from the bits we've seen, the music video for his solo song looks more expensive than any of the band's and it was also shot in Prague while all of Måneskin's were shot in Italy. Also labrinth is involved and it's not cheap to get someone so successful on a project by a new artist. Because Damiano alone is a new artist. He apparently signed a 5 year solo contract with sony recently so fans thinking this solo project is a one time thing are naive.
And about the "Maneskin said new music will come out soon!" crowd: I beg you to go watch the interviews maneskin gave in Mexico last year when they were promoting the rush deluxe. They're asked what are their plans for after the tour, Damiano says that they'll take a break for a couple of months to rest and then start writing a new maneskin album. Flash forward 1 year later, he's releasing a solo single and the new maneskin album is supposed to be written next year.
They're telling you what you want to hear because if Damiano or Vic (since they're the only ones releasing solo music at least for now) come out and say "we don't know when maneskin will be back, whenever our solo projects allow it", fans will be upset and most likely won't support those projects. Damiano in 2025 will be busy promoting his album and then touring. Vic in her own words plans to release an album too and probably do more gigs. They need at least 6 months off to write a new må album if they want it to have a better critical reception than rush. And it's unlikely that'll be worth to the label when they can be promoting 2 solo artists instead

Anatomy of a callout, part 3
Shortly after the publication of the callout, Marianna the Influenza – a well-known feminist influencer/author, close friend of Giorgia Soleri, and one of Simona's original "welcomers" to Instagram - posts a direct link to the report on her IG story. In a personal note, she urges her 26,000 followers to bookmark the callout account in order to stay on top of breaking updates.
(Translation: "Follow @callout_influencers. Although abusers cannot be named for legal reasons, you will understand who they are.")
Soon thereafter – and seemingly unprompted – Giorgia posts a lengthy official statement on IG, confronting allegations that she knows something about the callout. She clarifies to her 700,000+ followers that she stands firmly on the side of "the victims" but firmly distances herself from the alleged crime:
(TRANSLATION: "Given that this story doesn't concern me and it already seems quite out of place to have to speak up, unfortunately some very serious accusations have been made against me from which I cannot but dissociate myself. I was not aware of any of the charges that were brought against a person who, by the way, is not even named in these charges. Imputing knowledge and therefore complicity on me and third parties is extremely serious and I ask you to realize the sensitivity and delicacy of the topic. My greatest thoughts and hugs go to the victims, whoever the abuser in question is. PS If you don't know what I'm talking about, please don't ask questions because we're not talking about gossip.")
Next, Laura shows her support by liking the callout report on IG.
This blink-and-you'll-miss-it detail causes the most damage of any action thus far. Before it appeared, one could defend Ethan in the belief that he had been misidentified and/or wrongly accused. But a wordless public endorsement by none other than his own ex-partner lends credibility to the accusation and silences anyone who asked for more proof.
Within hours, Federica Fabrizio - Giorgia’s closest friend and a prominent young feminist influencer in her own right - promotes the callout report to her own 87K+ followers, along with a cryptic caption.
(TRANSLATION: "A day will come when I stop surprising myself, but today is not that day")
As fandom descends into a welter of suspicion, accusation, condemnation, and rage, Federica follows up with an even more pointed (and distinctly triumphant) comment.
(TRANSLATION: "Sooner or later we will stop asking for justice and start demanding revenge, and at that point you will just have to take it")
On November 14th, Simona publishes a new story covering similar ground as before: emotional abuse, sexual coercion, unprotected intercourse, masculine arrogance hiding behind performative feminism. She warns that anyone could be an abuser– from your own friend to “a musician from the band you like”. Immediately following this story, she posts a video of a drummer performing (of all things) a Måneskin's biggest hit. What talent, reads the caption. The message is both coy and pointed: Fire your drummer and hire a substitute. Here, this one should do nicely.
In an echo of her comment thread brainstorming session, Simona also issues an explicit call to “name names”.
At this point in the callout saga, it is useful to look at who is following who on social media:
The above roll call dated November 15th shows a core group of five women whose activities are more or less enmeshed. Their association cannot be denied, nor can (in several cases) their prior connections to the chosen target. Right now, all focus is on him and his alleged but unproven wrongdoing. But the coordinated actions of these five women, the manner in which they implicate one another and give themselves away, will eventually need to be answered for.
So while we happen to be naming names, in no particular order…

I love that the Finnish commentator pronounces Måneskin with an o, even though the å is obviously an Aesthetic a.
Finns used to do the same with Stargåte.
You give us a Swedish o, you get a Swedish o.

The ice hockey world championships are taking place in Finland at the moment. I don’t follow the games myself, but my husband watches Finland’s games and I’m usually in the room at the same time and as such I’ve developed a favourite player.
There’s a (*googles*) left winger with the surname Lammikko, puddle in English, who makes for amazing lines from the commentator.
He runs into puddle mid-ice.
Puddle is there to cover for him.
Amazing stick work from puddle.
Puddle scoooores.
Every time I hear his name, I imagine a small anthropomophised puddle of water living its best life at the IIHF worlds 2022.

Kinnporsche fics I’d write if I was capable of writing fiction
Porsche and Pete are very physically affectionate with each other. It’s completely platonic, but they snuggle in front of the tv, sleep in the same bed, kiss sloppily when drunk, dance together at bars. Their boyfriends deal to the best of their abilities.
Kim and Vegas meet. Like I know they’re cousins and have certainly spent time together, but we never really see them do that in the show and I want my psycho4psycho (platonic) interaction, dammit!
Outsider POV. I don’t know the timeline or the exact circumstances (other than that they’re banging) but at some point Pete drops the khun when addressing Vegas in public, with no other indication that there is anything between them. He’s still perfectly polite and plays the perfect main family bodyguard and no one can figure out why Vegas shows no reaction to the disrespect.
Vegas and Pete do the ”who did this to you?” thing (before Pete gets captured). Someone else beats Pete and Vegas goes crazy for no reason he can understand.
Kim is a legit psycopath that fixates on protecting Porchay. He stalks Chay to make sure he’s safe (and kills people if not), breaks into his home to stock up his fridge or to put him to bed. Chay is slowly gaslit into thinking it's all fine and for his own good and because Kim just loves him so much.
Vegas thinks he has the perfect no strings attached arrangement with Pete until he witnesses Pete with someone else and realises that the no-strings goes both ways and he wants those strings after all (not just ropes).
Shotgunning. Anyone, everyone.
Pre-canon, Kinn is drunk and propositions Big for sex. Big obviously says yes and has the time of his life (even if it is a bit angsty because he knows he’ll never have Kinn for real), but he would never dream of pressing his boss for anything, so when Kinn wakes up the next morning, all he can remember is Big passively going along with anything he did and is sure he pressured an unwilling Big into sleeping with his boss.

The proper translation of the Finnish word kotihiiri is homebody (or similar), but I like using the literal translation of house mouse instead because it rhymes.

My #1 post of 2022
In Finnish, you’re married with someone, not to someone.
Even knowing the expression in English, hearing that someone is married with children always gives me that momentary whiplash.

It was an evening of wins and losses for Måneskin. They won for Best Alternative Video.
But lost out Best New Artist to Dove Cameron and Group of the Year to BTS.
But the biggest loss went to the at home viewers because the band's performance of "Supermodel" (with women who looked (to me) like a bunch of Giorgia Soleris) was heavily censored.
People thought it was because of Damiano's wearing of chaps
MTV VMA's doesn’t care about bums.
but I think it's because Vic lost her pasty.
A second but -I don't think that's why they pulled back initially because you see her afterwards. Maybe the director cued the cameras too early in expectation of her pulling off her top, or Damiano was doing something they thought would get too risque so pulled back, then had to do it again because of Vic.
youtube
All I do know is that there is only one supermodel and his name is Ethan Torchio.
-I wonder if there will be a small group of people will take this as Måneskin's punishment of backing out of this weekend's Readings & Leeds festival. A topic that came up during Zane Lowe's interview with Muse lead singer (and one of Kate Hudson's baby daddies) Matt Bellamy who was on promoting Muse's new glorious cd "Will of the People".
Starting at the 44 minute mark Lowe asks Bellamy to speak on his experience at the festival and how Måneskin and Jack Harlow backed out to play the VMAs. I'm not exactly sold on Lowe's idea that Readings & Leeds would have provided them with more fans, I think it was a misguided swap because they've have rescheduled on Europe so many times this year in order to do things stateside that if they do have to cancel gigs do it because it's unavoidable, not because they want to tick off boxes like performing at awards ceremonies. They had a European fanbase before Eurovision so neglecting them for broader appeal is shady boots.
youtube
Maybe next time if they ever get an awards show invite during a tour they can do like Bad Bunny and throw from the concert.
Nothing is gonna keep Benito from his gig..

I’d like to give some context to this photoshoot. It was done by one of the most famous photographers in Italy, Oliviero Toscani, to promote “Vent’anni”. Now, I get that what catch your eyes is that they’re naked, but I’d like you to read what Måneskin wrote when they posted this video so you can understand better the meaning of it:
“Too often there is this perception that artists are untouchable. As if they live or perceive things too far from what is normal. But that’s not true. We are simple, scared, imperfect human beings. This is our way to show it, to put our face on it. We stripped completely, we shared our fears, our hopes, our songs. There are those who will not understand, those who will criticize and those who will want to see more and more. We are twenty years old and this is who we are. Free.”

University is coming to an end for the semester! I’m excited to have it over and done with and to find out my marks. However, I’m doing a summer semester for the first time which starts in a couple of weeks.
This last week I had six shifts at work, which is more than I’ve ever had. I’d really appreciate any advice anyone has about having the right mindset for hard work weeks.
My most recent YouTube video has done surprising well so far without any promotion. It’s called ‘🚨ERROR🚨 motivation cannot be found’ and it includes clips from my recent holiday to Perth, Western Australia. I’d really appreciate any one who gives it a watch.
Reading: Anne Boleyn, a King’s Obsession by Alison Weir
Listening: The Loneliest by Måneskin

Måneskin Europa Plus Interview Translation
Hi everyone, this is a translation for Måneskin’s interview in Russia on 01.09.2021 with the radio station Europa Plus. I translated using just the Italian/Russian translator and of course Måneskin’s answers since I only know Italian, so if you speak Russian and I missed something feel free to tell me <3 This is also my first time translating such a long video so thanks for your patience! :-) You can download the interview here (Thanks @definitelynotdamiano for this link!) Tr = Translator
[ ] = My notes
Enjoy! (Under a read more because it’s pretty long)
Tr: We had to meet you, we are also your fans because we were at your event last night. We’ve been in love with you since Eurovision
All: thanks!
Tr: After the event last night we came here this morning without even changing
Vic: Right on *laughs*
Tr: It’s the first time that we [the interviewers] have our makeup like this, it’s unusual [for us], the first question is do you put on your makeup by yourselves or do you have a stylist to do it for you?
Thomas: Depends
Vic: When we are working we are fortunate to have a stylist because-
Thomas: Exactly
Vic: -if we were to do it ourselves every morning it would be very bad
Thomas: Very very bad yes
Tr: Today your makeup looks very nice. How are you finding Russia? Is it your first time in Russia? Do you like it/not like it?
Thomas: It’s very pretty
Damiano: Yes it’s the first time we’ve come
Thomas: We haven’t been able to see very much however it seems very pretty
Tr: The Russian audience is very different from other European countries; are you surprised at the amount of fans you have here in Moscow?
Damiano: Okay, it’s not so different, it’s very very hot. But yes we were surprised at the quantity of the fans we have
Tr: How did you ever decide to come to Russia? No one knew, it seemed a bit, as they say in Russian, an “all of a sudden snow”
Damiano: People have been asking us for a long time
Vic: They messaged us to try coming there and therefore we are inevitably here
Tr: You are exactly the type of singers that listen to fans and go where people ask you to go in regards to other countries then?
Vic: Yeah if we can
Ethan: Absolutely
Tr: [One of the interviewers] is learning Italian and when she hears you speaking Italian she is already happy and jittery (in an excited way) so really you can talk about anything. Anything you want she will be happy.
Thomas: Great
Damiano: Perfect
Tr: After your Eurovision win, has your life changed a lot? Or even before were you pretty famous in your own country [Italy]?
Damiano: No, no we’ll say not too much [of a change] however of course in Italy we already had good results. Surely it was a big change from before really just touring around Italy to now going and touring around Europe.
Tr: What objectives did you have for Eurovision, did you go to have a little fun or with the goal of winning for Italy? To, let’s say, defend the honour of your country?
Damiano: No, let’s say, both the things but more so to prove to Italy and others we could win with a genre of music that’s different from the traditional Italian music that is always supported; music that’s more melodic and light. We wanted to make another side of music in our country.
Thomas: Exactly. This type of music isn’t very public or wide-spread and we’d like to see it grow obviously
Tr: I would like to thank you because every once in a while I listen to as well as share Italian music to impressionable kids and the [traditional Italian] songs are more melancholic and sad and I was missing that “drive” that you bring into our lives.
Tr: It’s been a pleasure especially to watch your press conference after your Eurovision win and in my opinion they should let everyone put their feet up on the table when they are responding to the questions of the journalists.
Vic: That’s my opinion too
Damiano: True true true
Ethan: I agree
Tr: A question for Damiano: as a singer, at times you will have problems with the voice due to stress, if you have these problems how much time do you need to recover?
Damiano: It’s a thing that can happen but I try to prevent it from happening with various techniques that I am happy to follow to do everything [I can] so that it doesn’t happen
Vic: Yeah it never happens
Ethan: Damiano is very disciplined
Tr: Therefore no chocolate or honey?
Damiano: Exactly
Tr: Why did Ethan say Damiano is disciplined? In what sense did he mean?
Ethan: Well, he’s a person that really looks after himself, and if he commits to something he will do it and will see it through to the end
Tr: During concerts you all seem very lively. But in your private lives you all seem very calm, preferring to stay at home with family, not going out too much, in your private lives are you more outgoing or the reverse?
Damiano: The 3 of them [Ethan, Vic, Thomas] are more outgoing in respect to me, I prefer to stay at home.
Tr: How were you all welcomed back in Italy after the Eurovision victory? Because the last [Italian Eurovision win] was 1990 if I’m not wrong.
Ethan: Full of journalists!
Vic and Thomas: Good!
Vic: Almost like a soccer team welcome!
Ethan: In short, when we returned after the victory to our country we celebrated with our families because we hadn’t seen them in a while
Tr: If I’ve understood well, you will do a world tour and therefore you still have little time to see family
Vic: Exactly. In general, we have little time to relax *laughs*
Tr: And maybe then you have a little time to write other songs too
Damiano: No those are-
Thomas: No, no we find the right moments for them, obviously we have moments of inspiration with whatever we are doing. If we are live, doing different promotions, or meeting different fans, we always find moments of pause whether its 3 hours in the day to be writing
Vic: Yes, exactly the most important thing is the need to be truthful; inevitably we will be too busy or too tired and we will say “Okay, wait we need time to write”
Tr: When you compose music, how does it work? Are you working together on some parts, waiting on a muse, or saying “no, today we’re going to make a song”
Damiano: No, creativity comes at unexpected moments but it’s also a thing you can train. We find that when we have the time to write for a couple of days in the studio it’s usually in the morning and the evening when we throw out ideas, search for influences… unfortunately you can’t always expect an epiphany; otherwise it’s a bit difficult
Tr: You all know Little Big, right? [Little Big is a Russian band Måneskin in a different interview said they knew of]
All: Yeah yeah
Tr: So then while we are talking about Little Big, they said that during the pandemic lockdown they lived all together in a house and every day worked; did you do the same thing?
Vic: Unfortunately no, during lockdown we could not be together so we had to experiment with different ways of writing at a distance… obviously it’s not the same [difficult] for a group that’s fundamentally together, so therefore until we could meet again we were doing that.
Tr: We want to talk about your style, it’s a little inspired by the 70s, glam rock… and is this a style that you have chosen or is someone giving you advice about what to wear
Vic: For us it is very important to choose because the clothes that you wear really express you and we want to represent that. Therefore we’ve always been ourselves from when we were little up until now.
Tr: Do you have any intentions of launching a clothing collection?
Damiano: For now we’re focusing on music but maybe in the future when we have more free time
Tr: Going back to your style, it comes off strong, do you ever come across people who don’t understand and maybe complain about it? How do you react to this “aggressive” perception [of you]?
Damiano: In reality, even now that we have success, those types of comments get sent to us and we just rise above them. But when we were playing on the streets it was particularly difficult because there was a concentration of people just yelling insults at us, but luckily there are four of us and we support each other and grow to be more confident in ourselves.
Tr: Before coming out on stage at your concerts, do you have any particular rituals that bring you luck? That you do every time and it brings you luck?
Vic: Ehhh there’s some swear words
Ethan: We say “C’mon c’mon c’mon!”
Damiano: “C’mon c’mon c’mon” is the censored version
Ethan: Exactly
Tr: Before going on your transmissions, now every time you will change out the swear words!
All: Exactly *laugh*
Damiano: In Italian though
Tr: We have noticed that when someone doesn’t understand Italian, you can say anything in Italian [to them] and it just sounds really nice
Vic: Thank god *laughs*
Tr: What music do you listen to, what music inspires you? Are there artists that inspire you but you never listen to them? To avoid contamination and eventual plagiarism in your case?
Thomas: For us contamination is a very important topic… anyway we listen to different artists big and small and we search to mix them and we have a clear idea of what we want to do. It’s really important to take inspiration from many different artists and take the best parts from each of them.
Vic: Yes, of course we have particular artists that we take lots of inspiration from but we search to listen to a lot of music and center in on the little details we want.
Tr: Why did you decide to do a cover of Beggin’, did you have any fear before doing it?
[Damiano scrunches his face at this, I’m actually not sure if I translated it wrong or if that’s just a weirdly phrased question]
Vic: No, in reality it was very very small [that is to say, not scary?], compared to the first songs that we played together and now that we’ve written our original songs. In fact we never expected this [Beggin’ becoming a hit] to happen.
Tr: And maybe it’s the first time that a cover became big before your own songs; you’ve had such resounding success even on social media everywhere
Damiano: No no yeah it’s absurd
**Instrumental break where 2 songs play, Damiano gets up and comes back**
**A caller speaking Russian calls in, it seems they are playing a game with the caller about their Måneskin knowledge. During this time Måneskin does not speak except to each other, which cannot be heard**
Tr: We have received a bunch of questions but there are 3 questions that everyone is asking in particular. I will ask them now.
Tr: Is it true that you all have matching tattoos?
Damiano: Two
Tr: Where? Let us see
[They only show them the heart with arrow tattoo, not the Må one]
Damiano: How can I show you, uh, *unbuttons shirt to reveal his*
Ethan: *turns around and moves his hair to reveal his on the back of his neck*
Vic: *rolls up her sleeve to reveal hers*
Thomas: *rolls up his sleeve to reveal his*
Tr: The question for Ethan from yesterday [this is the same translator from the other interview and he was asked this yesterday] is “What shampoo do you use”
Ethan: I use shampoo based one hundred percent from love
Tr: The last question, and maybe the weirdest question, who of you follows the cosmos [space, like NASA] account and why?
Ethan: It’s me, I follow it because I've followed it a long time from when I first started following things on social media, because when I was little like 12-14 years old I had a love of astrophysics and therefore I followed all the pages.
Tr: Going back to your hit, I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE, what inspired this song. What message did you want to transfer to the public with this?
Damiano: The inspiration for the most part like all our songs comes from personal experience and this piece talks about the various “hidden” aspects of sex, like the “strange” or “excessive” acts and we wanted to normalize it by writing a song because we live like this ourselves.
Tr: When can your fans expect a new song? Do you have anything ready?
Vic: Yes
Damiano: Believe believe believe
Tr: You probably don't have any more secrets for your new album?
Damiano: We are full of secrets
Tr: We’ll try the other part, we know that you had a collaboration with Iggy Pop, do you have intentions of collaborating with others?
All: It’s a secret! *laughs*
**At this point they ask Måneskin to create a playlist of songs they like on a piece of paper, Thomas goes first, then Vic, then Damiano, and finally Ethan**
Damiano turns to Thomas: Can I tell you something? Scratch this out because no one can read it. It’s impossible. *Damiano tries to read it, then says no* *He then further insults him, but this is in good fun*
**Vic begins to draw Damiano, and Damiano, Ethan, and Thomas comment on it saying it’s nice and giving tips on what to add. Thomas says to add earrings and the snake tattoo on his chest, and Damiano asks her to “please give him high heels”**
**They then are given posters to sign while they look at Måneskin’s list**
Tr: Who wrote Death II - Pulp
Vic: Me
Tr: Do you have any intentions on covering Death II - Pulp? Or a collaboration? Or is it a secret?
Vic: We have a lot of secrets but they’re secrets from everybody
Damiano: Why not
Tr: Who wrote this one? [Even Flow - Pearl Jam]
Damiano: This one is mine
Tr: Ethan has chosen this one [Achilles Last Stand - Led Zeppelin]
Ethan: Yes
Tr: All the children now are going to school listening to this song so it will be a hell day at school
All: *mild laugh*
Tr: Who wrote Paranoid Android - Radiohead? Thomas.
Tr: After this interview where are you going, there is a crowd of fans outside you must get through to get past
Vic: To sleep!
Tr: In Russia, like most of the world, we are waiting for your concerts. Do you want to play in Russia, and do you know when?
Damiano: We still don’t know when but surely we will
Tr: It’s another secret?
Dami: *laughs* No this one we don’t know for real
Tr: We hope that the next time we see you there will be less secrets. Anyway we are waiting anxiously for your album. We will listen to it. Yesterday we had a lot of fun at your concert and here in Russia you have a lot of fans. We wish you a lot of success and we will always wait here.
All: Thanks very much
Here is the playlist mentioned above, and Vic’s drawing of Damiano ^

hello, friends. today i want to do something different, i want to talk about music. rock and metal bands of around the world following the hype on the eurovision song contest. i intend to do this same kind of post about pop artists in the future but today let's talk about my favorite musical genres ok?
this post will be long so prepare yourself ❤
so let's start this with the band that is the new obsession of many people. thank you, eurovision for måneskin. the italian rock band from rome, consisting of lead vocalist damiano david, bassist victoria de angelis, guitarist thomas raggi and drummer ethan torchio. they rose to fame after finishing in second place in the x factor italian version in 2017. this year, the band won the sanremo music festival and the eurovision song contest with the song "zitti e buoni".
måneskin already released two studio albums "il ballo della vita" (2018) and "teatro d'ira: vol 1" (2021), one extended-play and eight singles. they have songs sung in english but i particularly recommed the italian ones.
go listen to: la paura del buio ٭ zitti e buoni ٭ immortale ٭ for your love
from italy too, lacuna coil is a gothic metal band from milan consisting of vocalists cristina scabbia and andrea ferro, bassist marco coti zelati, guitarist diego cavalotti and drummer richard meiz. since their formation in 1994, the group has had two name changes, being previously known as sleep of right and ethereal. they have recorded nine studio albums, two extended plays, two live albums, two compilation albums, one video album, and sixteen singles.

go listen to: die & rise ٭ trip the darkness ٭ anima nera ٭ comalies ٭ the house of shame
from ukraine, jinjer (it's pronounced ginger) is a metalcore band from donetsk consisting of lead vocalist tatiana shmayluk, guitarist roman ibramkhalilov, bassist eugene abdukhanov and drummer vladislav ulasevich, formed in 2010. since then, they has released three full-length albums "cloud factory" (2014 - re-released in 2018), "king of everything" (2016) and "macro" (2019), three eps and one live album.
go listen to: teacher, teacher! ٭ just another ٭ bad water ٭ pit of consciousness
spiritbox is a canadian metal band from vancouver island, british columbia. before starting the band in 2016, husband and wife duo of singer courtney laplante and guitarist mike stringer were both in iwrestledabearonce. as a duo, they released a self-titled ep in 2017, bassist bill crook joined spiritbox in 2018, and the current line-up was completed when drummer zev rose joined (if i'm not wrong he's not exactly an official member of the band since he's not in the promotional photos and stuff but he's in the music videos so i don't know).
the band found critical and commercial success with the release of the single "holy roller" in july 2020. they released two ep and eleven singles. and their debut album, "eternal blue", will be released on September 17, 2021.
go listen to: the mara effect pt. 1, 2 and 3 ٭ circle with me ٭ holy roller ٭ perennial
rammstein is a german neue deutsche härte band formed in berlin in 1994. the band's lineup consisting of lead vocalist till lindemann, lead guitarist richard kruspe, rhythm guitarist paul landers, bassist oliver riedel, drummer christoph schneider, and keyboardist christian "flake" lorenz. they already released seven studio albums, three live albums, two compilation albums, six video albums and 28 singles.
they're very known for their frequent use of pyrotechnics during live performances and the constroversies emplying "s*xual stage act", accusations of fascist sympathies because of the dark and sometimes militaristic imagery of their videos and concerts, violent events where the aggressor was seen wearing the band's t-shirt and the polemic music videos os "p*ssy" (porn*graphic scenes) and "deutschland" (putting a black woman appearing as germania, which has been described as a "a calculated affront to german nationalists" and putting the band members portraying both as n*zi concentration camp executioners and as jewish prisoners).

at the aria music awards of 2015 the group won the best hard rock or heavy metal album category for their album "node" and in 2017 the band won again with "mesmer". they won the best hard rock or heavy metal album category for the third time in 2019 for their latest album "alien".

they already released three studio albums and 20 singles.
(they remind me of linkin park and limp bizkit)
go listen to: dark side ٭ gun ٭ over my dead body ٭ fever ٭ died enough for you
blackbriar is an alternative metal-gothic rock band from assen, the netherlands formed in 2012 consisting lead vocalist zora cock, guitarists bart winters and robin koezen, bassist frank akkerman, drummer rené boxem and keybordist ruben wijga.

What do you think about the video and song måneskin did for Ukraine with Global Citizen? Idk if it's just me but i think it's extremely poor taste to use something as devastating as the war in Ukraine to release a snippet of a new song and a mini mv. Talk about self promotion off of a situation like that!
Most of my thoughts are in this answer.
I don't think they are using war for promo, I think it could be a song/video made just because of/for this online rally, to spread awareness and share ways to help.

Promiflash is a German online celebrity news site and someone was clearly horny on main for Ethan while they wrote this.
Translation:
XXL bulge: Måneskin drummer Ethan poses in underwear
Ethan Torchio (20) makes his fans gasp! A few weeks ago, the Italian rockband Måneskin had their international breakthrough. Since they won the Eurovision Song Contest, everyone's talking about frontman Damiano David and co. and they are currently traveling all over Europe on a promotion tour. After their stop in Berlin, the four have now arrived in Sweden. While preparing for a performance, drummer Ethan has now shown himself in a very sexy way - in his underwear, including an XXL bulge.
For a photo shooting and music session, all band members threw on flashy pink robes. But before the got on stage, the fans got some backstage insights. In the dressing room, Ethan was filmed by his friends - half-naked, only wearing underpants. The brief was not only pink like his later outfit, but also tight-fitting. For this reason, an impressive bulge was showing in his crotch, which the 20-year-old openly showed to the camera. The Roman also proudly showed his trained torso and his luscious backside.
The ESC winners have a special mission regarding their clothes and don't care what other people think. Bassist Victoria de Angelis revealed to Deutsche Presse Agentur that they want to overcome gender boundaries. "The gender boundaries start with the banality that girls are supposed to wear pink and boys are supposed to wear blue", she explained. No wonder that the band members were all wearing pink outfits at this gig.
What do you think about the video?
Wow, I had to do a double-take
That doesn't belong into the public

Omg hey how are you doing? ❤️ I haven't been on here in ages. I miss the time around end 2019-maybe June 2020 because that was my prime time in the fandom. I wasn't a huge fan of the 25x25 project so I kinda lost interest in SnC and their friends (idk if they're even friends anymore nobody interacts with them from what I've seen). I took a break from this blog but now that they're back with the ghost stuff I'm interested again. I'm so glad they stopped filming with Jake and Corey, the girls bring such a great atmosphere to their content and they matured so much I very much appreciate it. I don't really keep up with everyone else I occasionally see a tiktok of Aryia on my fyp doing covers or promoting his song but otherwise I'm out of the loop. It's kinda sad how everything fell apart 😭💔
I'm currently debating of changing my blog here because even tho I like SnC it's not my prime interest atm. The thing for me I go through so many phases I feel like I can't be a blog soley for one thing. Like I was into Criminal Minds for months until the end of May. Now I'm obsessed with an Italian rock band called Måneskin, thanks to Eurovision (I highly suggest for everyone to check them out they're amazing 😭❤️ I even started to learn Italian lmaoo) So who knows what I'm into in the next months, I know I will lose my mind when the new Stranger Things season comes out later. I don't really know what I should do with this blog maybe I'll start out fresh.
Anyway I just wanted to check in bc I saw the threads from yesterday. I miss you guys, its such a shame that basically everyone left here 😭
Hey!! I'm good, how are you? God, I feel that "prime time" so bad. I didn't join until April 2020 I believe, but my prime was definitely like May through July/August. Personally, I enjoyed 25x25 when it first started but as they kind of moved away from what the point of the series was (like about the time they went to Vegas), I got less interested. But I'm really into the paranormal stuff they're doing again. I didn't realize how much I missed it until they brought it back. I'm also glad they stopped filming with Jake and Corey. I feel like if they had done that, it would've just been the same stale content that they were giving back in late 2019/early 2020. At first I was a bit hesitant about the girls since I know Kat always got easily freaked out during Sam's rituals (which is understandable! I'd do the same!) but I was worried it would be another Jake and Corey 2.0 kind of thing but just with her and Stas. But they've surprised me with how calm they've been, and I really enjoy them being in the videos. And oh my god I feel that. I'm constantly torn between wanting the "good old days" of when everyone was together, but I just keep reminding myself that the last couple of videos we got with most of the friend group together just didn't do it for me. Better to enjoy the past than to have a bad present, or something.
And you should def bring in some of your other interests! Lowkey, I would've abandoned this blog if I didn't start posting about the mcu/seb/chris. Remember, this is your safe space and you can do whatever you want with it! Honestly, the best thing you can do is just go multifandom. That way when you cycle through interests, you can just say "hey, I mean, this blog isn't dedicated to one thing anymore, and I can do whatever I want with it". And you'll be surprised by how many of your followers are also into your other interests! Like, I knew the MCU was a big fandom, but I was still shocked at how many of my mutuals were also into the same things as me. And I know of at least a couple who are into Stranger Things/Måneskin/Criminal Minds. And you'll get new followers too from those fandoms who are into those things! So go ahead and start posting for them! And, just speaking for myself, even if I'm not always into the same things as you, I still love seeing you on my dash!
Lmao, lowkey felt bad spamming with all of my bottled up feelings, but yesterday was just a big day for me finally opening up about things irl and I had to get some things off my chest over here too 😂 And I know, there are so many people who have left or just aren't as active anymore (and that's fine! they have their reasons!), but I also miss the way things used to be. Honestly, idk if I'll get to that level of connectedness that we were all at in 2020 again, even in my newer fandoms cause I just get scared I'll get attached and then they'll leave and I'll have to start all over again 😭

What do you think of the video måneskin did for Ukraine in collab with global citizen? I've seen many different takes imao
hello and thanks for asking!! i've seen a bunch of different takes too- and i want to say, i do love how everyone has been very respectful about this video and what they think of it <3
personally? i think it's a good thing. it's a video to promote an organization that's accepting money for ukraine. it's a clip of a new song (which sounds incredible imo, tho that's not the point) and like... how else do you get people to check out your video, you know? people want to hear new music by them, so by attaching Something New to this video, people are more likely to check it out. and the more people that see it, the more people will be willing to donate, and i always think that's a beautiful thing. it would be different if they were the only people doing this, but it does seem to be a movement made my global citizen with aims of raising money to help people- this video here shows that global citizen was setting something up for today. just look at #StandUpForUkraine and you will see that so many artists have done the same- bon jovi, u2, adam lambert, luis fonsi, and celion dion have all made videos about it. maneskin makes music and they know their music reaches a wide audience, so the fact that they are attaching this message with something that people want? i think it's a smart move and i hope that their reach brings in a lot of money for this cause
that being said.... i'm interested to see what happens moving forward. i really, truly hope that this song becomes a single solely for the purpose of donating the money that is earned- all of it, if not most of it. i think that would be absolutely incredible and honestly? if none of the proceeds get donated? i'm going to be very disappointed and sad
so let's see what happens from here x
