It might have been a little improper and unorthodox, but Ael wasn’t waiting around for either of them to join their children in death at the hands of the Legion. On paper, Lynn and Ael were married, but in their hearts they were joined long before that. A proper ceremony could be held when the world was safe. For now, the newly weds spent their honeymoon doing what they do best, fighting the Legion!

The ring that was given to her after a battle with the legion. While still tired, her eyes brightened at the ring in her hand. As the ring slipped onto her finger as she looked up at Aelryndel, Lynn’s smile grew as she leaned in to press a kiss gently upon his lips. “ You are not allowed to quit now..” she murmured out softly.

A Somber Morning
The message came early in the morning, a letter sealed by Lynnesta. El retired to the War Room adjacent to the Nursery and sat down at the desk to read the letter.
“Commander Lightmender,
It is the first minute past twelve bells. It is with a heavy heart and burdened purpose that I write this letter to you, Commander. A treasured soul has entered into paradise tonight, Garethil Manawhisper is now dead. Let me prelude this message with a praise: Mercy section’s healers did an outstanding job on tending the other wounded from tonight’s action, their overall performance was on par for what I expected of our people. However, there are certain things that I witnessed and found disturbing and unacceptable.
Garethil Manawhisper’s death happened on my operating table, its weight falls on me, not on Mercy’s Medical Officers. As stated previously, in the events of this evening I observed several concerns within the Medical Clinic. The beds were filling up with wounded. We had one person being crushed in their own armor, and several others in critical condition. Manawhisper was on the table being tended by myself, while idle hands were chatting, and preparing additional beds. When they turned to ask me ‘what do I do?’ This is unacceptable! I cannot stress this enough, Commander. When there are wounded pouring in the Clinic, or any other medical facility ran by Mercy, and no one is moving or tending to the influx of patients, this nothing short of negligence and it most certainly costs lives.
One of my issues, specifically, is with the actions of Miss. Oglesby. She repeatedly called for my attention, as I was fighting to stabilize Manawhisper. I knew for a fact that we had one Spellbreaker in critical condition and another severely wounded, their condition unknown from where I worked on Manawhisper. Xin had crushed ribs and was also in critical condition. There was plenty of work to be done instead of interrupting me with a question of what to do.
The point I wish to make known within Mercy is this: there should NEVER be a question of what to do in a situation like this or any similar situations. If there are wounded in the clinic they must be tended to immediately and without question. If the Medical staff is incapable of handling a situation like this in the future, I will hold you accountable, Commander.
Beds should have been prepared before the the wounded began arriving, they should be kept prepared at all times.
Staff will be trained and prepared for any situation and will be able to adapt and work in an ever evolving or devolving massive casualty situation.
Under no circumstance should there ever be “idle hands” within the Clinic or medical facility, if they do not have a job to perform or are not performing it they need to be removed, by force is necessary.
Under no circumstance should anyone without Medical training that hasn’t been approved by either myself or you be allowed to operate on, or assist in any medical procedure.
As we have experienced tonight, but not directly associated with Manawhisper’s death, this lack of training and intelligence costs lives. Ultimately, this death is on my hands; however, I should not have to communicate and direct staff that should have the common sense as Medical Professionals on what to do. That shows a severe lack of training and control on our part, Commander and you will see to this personally.
Signed on this 1st day of the 4th month, 37 LC,
Cleric General Val’kirn”
“Sir Garethil is dead...” He said it aloud several times as if trying to make it not be real. There had been two people who welcomed and befriended Elhanan when he joined the Highguard, Lynnesta and Garethil, both of whom he’d never have imagined losing. As he leaned forward and placed his head in his hands, resting his elbows on the desk top surface, he sighed heavily in defeat. “If Lynn was the one operating on him, surely there was nothing else that could have been done...” Closing his eyes he tried to push the thoughts out of his mind and focus on the memory of his friend. “If I had been there, maybe I could have done more...” The thoughts increased and swirled in his mind, darkening it. The Knight never took loss well. Taking a deep breath he felt the anger build up, radiating from him like the holy aura he was known for having. “If I had been there... If only I had been there...I could have saved him, I know it.” From the anger came tears, he sobbed and shook his head, “I could have save him, if only I was there.” These thoughts and outbursts only darkened his already darkening mind further.

The long rectangular package was wrapped neatly in brown paper and tied with twine. It was delivered to a Lynnesta Val’kirn’s office by a random delivery boy. The box was laid neatly across her desk and was there waiting when she came in. A tag hung from the loose bow that bound the twine together around the package. When she would inspect the tag she’d find a anonymous message, but she’d be able to tell who it was.
“Oh, my love, how I wish things were different so I could be giving this to you in person, but such is fate a cruel master. In this box is a little something to remind you of me and perhaps even aid you in your duties. When we meet again I will teach you how to use it properly. Until we see each other again, Happy Winter’s Veil.”
When she unwrapped the paper and opened the box she’d find a expertly hand-crafted broad sword. The broad sword was sheathed in a scabbard of black and gold lacquered wood. The hilt was wrapped in tight formed leather and bound with gold wire in a circular pattern. The pummel was connected to the crossguard with a golden hand guard. The basket hilt itself was formed and molded to look like a golden leaf and gave the entire sword a very elven feel. If she had been paying attention when they met the past few times, she’d recognize the hilt as the same one Aelrindel carried.

The pain that Ael felt at the loss of his family was unbearable, and he ached from it at times, but he was never able to handle his emotions so he channeled them into fury, and rage instead. This made the loss of his child, and Lynn’s children bearable, at least as long as there were demons to kill.

Seeing the transformation, and the acceptance of my love, I wonder now if it is better. Or worse that he has now joined me here with the Highguard’s forces, though whenever I see him standing in line and proud. I wish he wasn’t forced to wear that pendent, to hide where he came from. From all my heart, I can not help but smile when I see him. Even when he steals all the blankets at night. He makes up for it in several ways, It happen so fast, and now I cant help but act like a child whenever I see him. After hours of sketching, I was able to finish this.. for how you look still..in my eyes for the world to see. My knight..

A new friend?
Upon coming back to her house, she would open the door as she called out for Ael, her eyes glancing around the area with a frown at first. Though as they rounded the corner seeing him relaxing with a cigar she would chuckle a little. “ Love I want you to meet your new friend. She would say this out loud to call out to the Elf’s attention she wasn’t alone. When her lover would turn around he would see the sight of a little elven boy, “ Meet Andorias, he’s going to be your little shadow for the week.” She would say as the little boy would just take a look up at Ael blinking for a few moments. With Lynnesta’s encouragement the little boy walked over offering his hand to the male Sin’dorei. “ Hi.. you know those will kill you?” Andorias would say as he looked up at Ael now. Lynn listened to this before a smile would start to crack across her lips before she started to bust out laughing, “ Have fun love. “ She would call out before turning to get out of her armor. The little boy would then just stare up at Ael.

Sitting at her house, two toddlers would waddle around. their blue eyes and silver blond hair a clear reminder of their father. Though seeing the bright blue eyes of the children Lynn smiled as she moved. Scooping the twins up with a playful Growl before starting to playfully nom on their cheeks. Nhal and Dalithia would scream out with laughter. Trying to get away from their mother as she was on the floor playing with her kids. She would crawl forward as she half heartedly chased the two. Though when they pretended to hide. Though their presence was noticed by their mother. She would get up to her feet, moving to look around as she looked around the room. “ Where are my babies.. where are they?” she called out walking around as she would check the silliest of places. Her heart happy as she was able to hear her kids giggle. Turning now to walk to a small nursery as she looked down into cradles. one Cradle now missing as it pained her. The oldest of the little babies.. missing with his father. Sara and Sabin slept though peacefully despite their brother and sister running around and making a ruckus. The home in Dalaran was alive rather than silent. She paused now as she looked away to one of the windows as she closed her eyes. Her hand resting down on her stomach while taking a deep breath. Looking at the little two year old children, now as she would then be snapped from thoughts that pressed through her head. Pushing them aside as she smile then would start to chase after the toddlers again with comical monster sounds. The peaceful day.. was full of laughter and giggles.

It was early in morning, the Quel’dorei had been able to actually sleep a full night. She rolled over to half kneel beside her sleeping partner. Lynnesta would smile as she knew the coms would be quiet for a few hours. Leaning in to kiss her lover’s ear as she gently whispered into it. Her hands trailing up his bare back as she gently blew a breath across the tip of his ear. While her hands would knead at his back. “ Love.. “ she whispered onto the skin. Watching the Sin’dorei react as his green eyes would open. Half leaning over his form as she would press a kiss against the ear again. Whispering once more. “ Good morning..”

Bringing them home.
In search of Jasper Warstrider, A ranger stood next to the portal waiting for his partner at the time. The cleric herself, rather angry at the turn of events came from her home. Rushing over to meet up with him. “ Let's go find them, I’m going to shove my boot up their asses later.” She would say as the Ranger Cyonos just nodded. Hours early the coms would have chimed repeatedly, with Lynnesta’s order to pull out scouting a man with horns near a alter. Orders were orders, they were to have pulled back, and unlike some, and more like the majority, they didn’t listen! This was nothing new but it angered Lynnesta greatly. Now it was time to pull their people out.. Or person, the chilling thought of death scared her more than ever. Since they had just put one friend to rest, she would make sure the others came back alive. Going straight to where their beacons last transmission went the two went up the road, spotting something off as they rushed over, finding a man dressed in black robes and who looked to be injured, Lynn rushed over, Immediately recognizing him as Morlum, a man who was once part of their organization, she would reach out grabbing for her medical bag and pulling out a few sealed packages, Disinfectants and clean bandages. He had claimed there were mana crystals up ahead, and he had been attacked. By a demonic man, which fit since earlier a techie had had been missing for several hours. Showing up with a fel scratch on her cheek, Her concern was to clean and heal the wounds. The ranger then told Lynn to stay and tend to the man’s injuries, lynn nodded now, as she would have been more than happy to carry him with her. She ended up listening to her friends words, though she didn’t know how bad it would be. Watching Cy walk up the path as she then turned to then tend to the man’s injuries. Though she hadn't expect anything to attack her while she was tending to his injuries. A blinding pain hit her in the back of the head, with enough force to cause Lynn’s body to collapse onto the ground. With her vision blurring. Lynn watched Morlum move now to pick the Lynnesta’s body up as the fell would cause much pain.. Though she did not register it. Before the two of them disappeared, leaving her cowl and circlet on the path for the ranger to find. What followed was then, coming to with Fel shackles around her wrists while she was chained to a pillar of some sorts. She couldn’t shake the headache that build in her head at first opening her eyes. Looking upwards towards a figure with a snake like helm and horns, her eyes focusing as if she told herself to stop being weak. “ AH you have come to!” He said almost pleased with this as he walked over using a curse now to drain her mana but leaving enough to keep her alive. “ That should stop you from casting your spells..” Morlum would say as he seemed to grin. Though lynn would remain stony faced as she closed her eyes taking a few deep breaths. Though her form was in pain, the dark magics used would be clasing against the cleric’s body as she had been blessed with the light. Soon as she felt his finger on her forehead as another curse hit her, crying out as she slumped against the ground. Though in the feel of the area shaking wouldn't be lost on the cleric as she picked up a few meeps before what followed she never got to see before her eyes closed, he ears relaxing a little as the darkness of a concussion and the pain of the curse that afflicted her would take over. Knocking out into a painful darkness. ( To note, she is currently sedated and in a dalaran Medical bay. )

Confusion and Conflict
Limping into her home after a busy night, Lynnesta would stand there covered in blood some of it her own from a fall. Some of it belonged to a dragon and then a Scout captain. The cleric’s day was filled with oddities.. as she made her way to the shower and started it up. Starting to clean herself up as she slumped towards the ground as she moved to rub her face. Tired and her strength seeming gone at this moment as she sat there in the hot water, only the sound of muffled tears. The sound of angry words echoing in her own ears, ‘ You may be the -Cleric- general, but you don’t care’ one of the biggest lines in her head as she curled up into a ball against the wall. Thinking about how the elf had endangered a entire party by going. Having to go out herself to get her rather than make anyone do this, squiggy getting injured.. due to her carelessness. “ I need.. to change.. “ she whispered up into the shower of water. Clearly not leaving till the water had long gone cold.

A Late night.
It had been a very long night for a cleric, after sending her second in command home. She knew he had someone there for him, which made it easier for her to do so. Tending to the injuries of Dalithia, one of the few people she seemed to trust openly. A night of extraction of Void magics, and replenishing the elf’s energy so the mana depletion did not kill her. And her partner’s void injuries, with the assistance of two magi. Lynnesta was finally able to get a breath of fresh air. Moving now to stand outside the medical clinic, a elf would stand. Dressed in silver blues and golds. Her armor shined off the light that was near the infirmary’s doorstep. Her arms stretching out as she glanced towards the sky. Seeing the sun starting to peek up from the buildings. Her face would drop a little as she shook her head now. “ I’m sorry..” she said out more towards the building across the street. Looking up at a window as she saw the curtains fluttering in the breeze.
She had been out all night, again. Her ears tilting downwards as she bit onto her lower lip. “ At least I was able to cover and send Elhanan..home.” she would say this softly. Turning her head to look back into the building as she let out a small sigh. The two now talking it would seem as she knew she was safe to let the nurses that were in there take over. Leaving instructions for her to be paged if complications of void injuries returned. The cleric would then take her walk to her own home as she stopped. “ I hope he’s not too mad..” she would mutter out softly. Moving now to the armory, another rack for armor had been added for armor. She moved to undo all of her armor and leave it up hanging. Eventually finding her way up the stairs. Only to stop into the guest room which housed a elderly elf who was frail in his health though he was doing better. “Galvajin..you idiot..” she would mutter out softly as she moved to the cabinet with several objects within it. She pulled out a small vial, moving to sit on a stool near the bed as she gently took the man’s arm. grabbed a syringe and fresh needle as she prepped the medicine it would seem. Cleaning the area around his elbow as she carefully pressed the needle into the Elderly elf’s arm as she would administer the medicine with slow care. Afterwards her hand would hold out over Galvajin’s chest as she concentrated the light that flowed within her being. The light then seeped into the elder’s form as it worked to heal the injuries that may have happend and to battle the corruption within his form. Once the treatments had ended, it looked like years were probably placed on the elf’s shoulders and face as she started to drag her feet as she walked towards her room. Bare footed she barely made a sound on the carpet as she walked over, reaching out to gently set her hand on a male’s face as she looked down at his sleeping form. Sitting down on the edge of the bed to reach out, brushing her fingers over his forehead before leaning over to kiss his brow. “ I’m sorry I was gone so long my love..” she would whisper out before moving now to climb into bed next to him as she snuggled into his form as she closed her eyes letting sleep finally claim her as she was snuggled up with her love.
