Took some inspiration from some WWII posters to put together this Restoration Auxiliary Team recruitment poster.

No new artwork, just repurposing stuff I've done before and applying some graphic design onto it.

Got some silly doodles I’ve made of Jasper over the past few weeks. Mostly involving Jasper becoming a parent to just about anything that comes within a ten foot radius of them. Axle doesn’t seem to mind being a big brother at least.

Still trying to figure out how I wanna handle his hood and neck. I’ll get it eventually~

I came up with the line "Every single one of your hobbies is a waste of calories" and I needed to draw someone saying it.

So I drew Ebony saying it to Lyka.

Btw, this is during Chapter 2 of the RATs saga, hence why Ebony is sporting a prosthetic and some scars.

I hope other people remember fushigi.

I present to you... Kid Lyka!

Who and what Lyka was like prior to joining the RATs was a big thing that @mynders-universe and I have been trying to hash out for a while now. Mainly, we wanted to know what influenced and guided our eventual hero into the person she would become.

So wearing her Shonen protagonist inspiration on her intact sleeve (taking some big design cues from of course Dragon Ball's Son Goku), Kid Lyka was an itinerant trouble making orphan, bouncing from village to village, before being kicked out because she inevitably steals something, breaks something, or "gives some jerk what they had coming to them".

Needless to say she was a bit of a shit. Many adults felt sympathy for her but most found it easier to see her as a troublemaker than a kid who needed caring for. Easier to just toss her some bread and some soup and send her on her way, and hope she doesn't hit anything with that stick of hers on the way out. Lyka knew and felt this too, of course, and feeling unwanted by so many around her, she figured she might as well legitimize those feelings- they're expecting the worst of her already, anyway.

This would change when, during one of her nightly escapades, she crashed through the roof of the wrong house and broke her tail. The owner of the house, an old man, would recognize Lyka and bandage up her injuries, but demanded that while she recovers, she stick around to help around his farm and repair his roof. Having no alternative, Lyka stayed with the man she would one day call her grandpa.

Being forced to stay in the village and having to interact with its people, Lyka eventually came to be seen as a part of it. That's when they saw the lonely little kid underneath her anger and bluster, a young stoat who just wanted some place to belong and be appreciated. Though gruff and demanding, Grandpa helped Lyka open up.

Lyka's tail never did quite heal properly, but when it finally did, she decided to stick around the village. Grandpa would one day pass, leaving his farm and house to Lyka, which she gladly accepted. And when Eggman's Badniks rolled into town, she was the first one running out of the village, ready to defend her home.

Felt like drawing Lyka and Nicole in dresses!

Lyka's outfit is an amalgamation/synthesis of dresses I found online. Nicole's is more specifically based on the Filipino baro't saya. Hopefully I did it justice in this interpretation.

I mean I smashed into the cactus in the first place but that's not important right now!

Splash is a chill guy who likes hanging out with friends, walking on the beach, and stealing french fries from people. She’s very interested in sea creatures and is often seen hanging around tide pools looking for cool crabs and snails :)

(Splash is also a gamer, unfortunately)

They aren’t very fast at running, but while flying, Splash can catch air currents to reach pretty high speeds, and can stay in the air for awhile. They don’t fight much, and will help everyone from the sidelines if anything happens.

A character of little words, Jasper is someone who despite not having much to say, you can be sure of the fact they're listening if you need someone to talk to. Jasper has a tendency of looking bored or disinterested in general, but honestly they've just never been all that expressive as an individual. Living in a smaller town west of Capital City, their favourite activities seem to be sunbathing and taking care of their expansive cactus garden. They live with a dark chao that they raised from an egg, who's mischief knows no bounds and always keeps Jasper on their metaphorical toes.

The rest of the Restoration Auxiliary Team's meeting was completely derailed as the conversation shifted to the massive cookie Lyka brought in and whether it was store bought or made in the RATs Nest.

In preparation for Anthrocon, I put together a bunch of character sheets for my OCs! Even got ticks on them to show if it's alright to draw TF or NSFW art of each of them! Got them printed and laminated during the con and they were immensely useful for both giving references AND showing off my characters. A bunch of people were likewise inspired to do the same for their characters ^^

The vast majority of the artwork on these sheets are my own, but for the ones that aren't, I'll add credit right below!

"I despise that stoat so much."

This is such a wonderful depiction of Ebony's absolute disdain for the shonen protagonist Lyka the stoat. Between the sense of action of her kick to the comic style background and effects supporting it (and of course the picture of Lyka on the dummy~)... Absolutely wonderful work, Zep ^^ You've drawn both of my characters amazingly ^^

Here outside Keystone Village, just stole this Egg Carrier from Eggman. Its fun to launch myself from its cannon into people's roofs!

Taking place shortly after the capture of the soon-to-be-christened RATs Nest, which would become the base of operations for the Auxiliary Team.

Something I threw together for fun the other night, starring Lyka the Stoat. The subtitle graphic is still currently a work in progress, but it hits the right vibe I'm looking for.

No one looks forward to sparring practice day on the RATs Nest- not when Lyka's taking part, at least.

Part foreshortening and pose study, part something I figured would be in character for Lyka. Based off of a panel/frame from My Hero Academia of Mirio Togata, after he's driven his fist into the stomachs of half of Class 1-A.

Stoat's got abs.
