My goals after my birthday is to finish Atleast one story. I want to end my teen years with a completed story.

Soooo after I’m done the two things I need to work on(school and other stuff being a pain)

Honestly I dont want to have doubts on skuld being subject x but with normura you never know

But like it makes so much sense and everything else feels like an absolute stretch Like the age fits

The Black hair that was mentioned in the characters files

The fact shes from the age of fairytales

The fact xehanort saw her in the players memories which could also explain why he became a bit obessed with her

The sun moon and Star trio

The fact how it was mentioned in the secret reports that she departed her world with others

The 4 friends and a key thing doesnt make as much sense but with the ending it would be safe to assume she does NOT count the Player as friend anymore

Her literal name means future

The fact how her fate wasnt revealed to us yet

She lost importance in Union cross fairly quickly so this is her chance to get important to the story again. And the whole subject x thing has the potential to make her very important to the Story. We dont even know why luxu freed her. Kindness? Did he have a plan in mind when doing so? She was compared to ava so much is she supposed to act as a replacement? Not knowing anything about Luxus intentions alone leaves room for so much Potential. We dont even know her whereabouts yet. She has the potential to make a total change in character. There is so MUCH potential with this whole subject x mystery and the character as a whole

Of course it could still be ava but that honestly kinda seems like a stretch to me. Why would you specifically mention the hair even tho it was never revealed yet, also I dont see ava being as young 15. 18-19 perhabs but not younger. Also the trio theme wouldnt work then because sun moon and fox doesnt really make sense. I mean yeah her being subject x would still make sense but in that case I feel like all the Clues nomura threw in here were supposed to lead us to the completly wrong path and I usually have nothing against that but here it seems a bit...extreme?

Ava suddenly being subject x seems like a last Minute decision to me if im honest. Like normura seeing how we already figured it out and then going "nope" and changing it

The whole "she looks like xehanorts mom" thing obviously brings doubts in this whole theory too but at this point I hope nomura just threw that in there to drive us crazy or to explain xehanorts "obession" with her more. Because guy never met his mom and now suddenly there is some girl that looks like her that seems to be from a completly diffrent timeline like Fr? I would want to find out everything about how she ended up here too....Not in his way tho

Also i dont have anything against skuld staying with ephemer and building up scala. I really like the aesthetic to be honest but in that case where is her Statue? Why wasnt she shown being there with him? Her staying with ephemer also seems like some last Minute decision to me. Especially with the ending where I kinda had the feeling they were trying to suddenly build up romance between them. I like the ship but I would not at all like how nomura handled it

Like honestly at this point I would prefer it if nomura suddenly Pulled out some crazy explaination like "Xehanort and skuld are actually half siblings and her mom is a time traveler!" or "Skuld had a secret sister that got together with ephemer!" or sum

this is suuper broad so I'm gonna talk about who I include in the radiant garden fam and why!

so for me, it's ansem, even, ienzo, dilan, aeleus, and xion. this is ofc post-canon - braig (and later apprentice xeha) would be included (and xion omitted) in earlier parts of the timeline.

(aside: whether braig was an apprentice pre-luxu or not and how much investment luxu-braig had in any part of the whole situation beyond prophecy-fulfilment is sooo interesting. I lean towards "always luxu" and "only a little invested despite himself" bc I'm not usually focusing on his character but honestly that's kind of a cop-out on my part lol)

I see a lot of people bringing in namine and repliku (and making REALLY CUTE art about it, it's not my headcanon but I do eat up father-of-four even content lol), but I generally don't bc. 1. if repliku could have had a full existence independent of riku kh3 well and truly removed that as an option and 2. namine deserves better than that

when I say that I mostly mean namine should be well the fuck away from ansem, and I think he'd probably agree? DiZ was legendarily awful to her and while she has a connection to Even via being in replica body now I don't think that's particularly enough to put him as a top candidate for her guardianship (though tbh I'm not 100% set on who that /would/ be - if kairi was back on the islands I'd say her parents just have twins now, but given that she's training with aqua it would be a little odd for namine to be there alone. maybe she's just travelling for a bit. idk)

on the other hand xion was directly created by even and they don't have a negative history together, and none of the org members who actively hurt her are around (I 100% include axel in that, I don't object to them being friends post-canon but people acting like he could be a healthy guardian figure to her need to, like, play/watch days lol). in rg she gets a blank slate with pretty much everyone around her except dilan, and I think they would have a very interesting dynamic given the little bits and pieces we see of their relationship in the org. (yes i'm thinking about when xaldin was like "she's as much of a person as the rest of us and therefore should be executed". I'm always thinking about that.)

I was kinda disappointed when kh3 brought AtW back bc I really vibe w the idea of the apprentices returning to rg and having to live with the conspicuous absence of their king and mentor (this playlist is very much about that vibe) which I guess still happens but only for like. a couple weeks maybe? then he's just back again. which I do think is less fun but does have its own interesting questions of what their dynamic becomes, how he approaches returning to rule, etc. I do think that with his whole repentance thing he maybe wouldn't be very into taking up a head-of-state role again and would be more likely to facilitate a transition into some kind of representative council system than just abdicate and put some poor schmuck into his old position (that being said, the idea of him just washing his hands of it and retiring to be a hermit, leaving ienzo to take up a hereditary king title, would be just the kind of dick move that feels consistent with his established characterisation lol (ienzo voice: hello chip could you put mickey on the line please. I want to consult him on how to run a whole fucking world because it would seem I'm a king now))

anyway. despite it being cute and making lots of jokes about it I don't really see ienzo or xion calling anyone their dads or fathers - they're totally a family but it's a bit more complex than "four dads, two kids". the guys all take their guardian roles quite seriously (while dilan doth protest too much about their upbringing not being his responsibility or business, he is in practice very invested in instilling them with his values) but I don't think any of them would feel entitled to claim that kind of relationship.

Dantes: Every time he shows up in our mind to sweep us out of trouble dramatically. Bonus points for everything in Shimousa. He loves us so much, the weirdo.

Oberon: GOD. GOD. His flashback with Castoria where he teaches her magic and barely manages not to blow his cover with just sheer outrage at how they treat her. His genuine vengeful rage over the burning of the Welsh forest despite how much he claimed to loathe it there. The way he almost tore Koyan's throat out immediately on seeing her. How he's one of the only people to look at Fujimaru and be angry about what they've been through on their behalf. Everything about the final confrontation with him. When you summon him after beating LB6 and he's just completely fucking gobsmacked you'd actually want him around after All That Bullshit.

Luxu: The epilogue. His confrontation with Ava. Everything about Bragi.

Idea for a story

Dantes: I want to explore more of his time in Chaldea, not just in Fujimaru's dreams, go talk to other people, have interactions!

Oberon: I NEED PHH VORTIGERN EVERYTHING RIGHT NOW IMMEDIATELY I WANT TO SEE PHH VORTIGERN RECONTEXTUALIZED WITH THIS NEW INFORMATION FROM LB6 I WANT MORE OF THE VORTIGERN PART OF HIS EXISTENCE!!!!

Dantes: IDK what's popular or not lmao.

Oberon: Related to the above, I think people tend to focus too much on the Oberon aspect? I want to see more focus on Vortigern he's my favorite part of this whole amalgam, I desperately want to see PHH Vortigern looked at again now that they've retconned Garden of Avalon's version. There's SO much potential.

Luxu: I absolutely do not like this painting of him as cruelly stealing other people's bodies like Xehanort, I don't like the idea that Braig was bodysnatched DURING BBS, I don't like the focus on what if Braig/Bragi are still in there. I prefer a juxtaposition where he's gentler about it and I definitely think we've only ever known Braig as Luxu.

Dantes: Besides the comedy of Dantes and Nightingale, I love him and Fujimaru's relationship so much. I kinda ship it ngl.

Oberon: LB6 TRIO OBERON FUJIMARU CASTORIA I CRY UNCONTROLLABLY, DEAR GOD. But also please for the love of god let me explore Oberon and Merlin's relationship especially in context of the mythos with Vortigern and Emrys holy shit.

Dantes: Despite being his usual batshit self in most settings, due to my Fujimaru's unique abilities he's a bit more chill if he's in Chaldea proper, and he actually Needs those glasses he wears in the summer alt outfit.

Oberon: OH GOD I CANNOT EVEN BEGIN WITH THESE. Please don't make me start in on my Vortigern headcanons and my hcs for my version of him in Chaldea, I have way too many. But here's one: PHH Vortigern raised Merlin for at least part of his life. Fuck your timeline weirdness.

Luxu: Luxu and Braig's hearts accidentally merged so they're literally the same person now, whoopsie. That's why he says this is his last vessel. He Can't Leave. Good thing he doesn't need to!

@khnpostskhspoilers MEEEEEEEEL! I finished Dark Road and have thoughts and questions to fire at you, but an ask is too small to contain them. So I decided to just tag you in a post. Here we go! (Spoilers below for anyone else reading)

Question 1: How can Emblem Heartless exist in DR’s time period? Apparently in the Q&A Nomura said this ties into Missing-Link’s setting, so putting a pin and red string on this one.

Question 2: I totally agree with you, how the FUCK do individual world’s timelines work??? Do they just stop when a main character isn’t there? How is Maleficent cursing Aurora both now and 65 years later? How are Jafar and Iago even alive? At least UX had the excuse of the Book projecting the future, but this doesn’t make a lick of sense. We SEE Xehanort and Eraqus age, but no one else???

Question 3: Not even a mention of Yen Sid? Was he not a Keyblade wielder at this time or is he somehow even older?

Ok this one isn’t a question, but that “Yep, walking like a carpet” line was the best joke in the entire game and I’m lowkey annoyed it was from Xehanort. “Horrible-person-to-be makes funniest joke of the week.”

Question 4: Ok real spoilers here. So Ephemer is Xehanort’s great-great-grandfather. That’s a separation of 4 generations. That’s like 150 years tops. So... the Keyblade War WASN’T thousands of years ago like we’ve thought this whole time??? Like 4 generations isn’t that long in actual years, and I don’t know how to reconcile this with how everyone else has talked about the Keyblade War like it’s ancient, near mythical, history AND Luxu’s writings about his lives “filling volumes” and “spanning ages.”

Another not-question, I wish we had seen more of Xehanort deciding to leave Scala, taking No Name, and fighting Eraqus. Like it feels disconnected from the rest of the plot. Like I guess we can mostly see how that Xehanort could become the one we know from BBS on, but I still feel like I can’t articulate how he got there. I wanted to see more stuff in the same year as the ReMind conversation with MoM. More of that Xehanort who’s starting that change.

My favorite part of KHUX/Back Cover is that the whole thing is literally based on a self fulfilling prophecy. The fortellers turned on themselves because of an expectation the end cause by one among them. *insert among us joke here*

The Master of Master planted an expectation into the heads of his pupils even though they had a literal book in their hands that could possibly guide them to avoid ruin. All he had to do was plant doubt that the bad end would be caused by one of them and it was their own undoing.

Even Luxu got pulled into MoM’s expectation game by simply deviating from the “set in stone future” because I’m sure MoM didn’t tell Luxu everything, just enough to spur Luxu to do something drastic. There’s no way MoM didn’t know about Sora fucking with time to save everyone. No Name exists in the new timeline after all so MoM saw it all.

i think soras the master of masters and the box is empty (but it had babby sora's heart in it at first). or the box has nothing to do w it but if sora is the master of masters, babby sora heart did some traveling.

(this isnt super thorough in the explanation cuz im tired rn. some of this is of course speculation cuz thats how kh is. also spoilers for kh3, re:mind, melody of memory, and khux)

my thoughts are, original tm sora, aka master of masters sora, fought in the very first super old conflict against dark prior to the original keyblade war, and in losing all his friends and also his eye & gaining future sight, saw the eventual loss against darkness and decided to make a plan to prevent it no matter what.

he decides to send his naturally optimistic younger self (as a babby heart)- untraumatized by the loss of his friends and still able to face darkness without hiding under a cloak- into the future, opting to use a secure box to keep it safe until the right time (cuz the heart of a literal infant is likely too fragile for fucking Time Travel)

and at a certain point he releases the heart from the box & allows new sora to be a Real Boy, with luxu unaware, and then escapes into the Fiction Real World, so luxus just been lugging around an empty box for the past 16-or-so years. he already knows luxus a traitor, so he wouldnt want to let him onto the fact that his original mission has already been fulfilled.

on the other hand, if time travel were possible for an itty babby heart, he prolly just sent it to the future :P

and whether this is recursive or not depends both on how fate works and on how time travel works. if fate & the future really can be changed, it can go off with...few hitches and everythings resolved, finally. alternatively, if travelling back to ones time reverts your physical form along with your memories, its possible that sora ends up going back to himself as a baby after...dying? needing to? its not that important.

so in that case soras personal timeline is either:

be born > grow up, become master of masters > grab babby heart, yeet to the future > events of kh1-3 > be a separate entity, change fate and live on while ur past self does whatever the hell in quadratum

or

be born > get yeeted > events of kh1-3 > go back bc u died/had to/Whatever > forget everything, grow up, become master of masters, remember via keyblade sight > yeet ur babby heart to the future > go off and do whatever the hell in quadratum

somewhat aside from all this, something that ties sora to master of masters that i havent seen mentioned is the fact that the old masters had methods to access the fictional world and, well, sora found a way to access it without knowing a method, so if it is recursive he couldve had that experience etched in his heart the way kh3 was etched into xehanort's and found it instinctually. thats very possibly not the case, and either theres another explanation that has new sora just going back in time and lying/not being entirely canon in khux, or its just a coincidence. =P

very deliberately has a very “modern” way of speaking (not just in his vocabulary, but in his delivery too) to contrast with the other five (six? do we count luxu?) masters

gave the masters their roles to deliberately sow discord among them once he “disappeared”

is using that eyeball in that fucking keyblade to follow the “you have to be present in the part of the timeline you’re time traveling to” rule to the letter - they never said it had to be the WHOLE person. just an eye may suffice.

i think he may already be a person displaced in time and possibly space

i think the box he had luxu take may contain his actual honest to god dead body - a fail safe just in case the whole “shoving my eyeball into a keyblade so i can travel through time” thing didn’t work

i think he’s trying to make a closed loop to take control of… SOMETHING. possibly kingdom hearts? but by making this closed loop and creating the Book Of Prophecies, he’s ensuring that no one will be able to stop whatever plan he has in motion

i have no idea what he wants to DO with kingdom hearts is the only problem. he says he’s on the side of light but why sow so much discourse among his pupils AND WHY SHOVE HIS EYEBALL INTO XEHANORT’S KEYBLADE?!

as for the other eyeballs on other keyblades? eh, i think those are closer to xehanort than the master of masters - i think xehanort was inspired by his keyblade, but they’re not like, clones of the master of masters’ eye.

Here we go. Here are my thoughts. 

The ending is utterly fantastic, as bittersweet as I could have hoped. I started crying and my dog started licking my face in attempts to get me to stop, what a good puppy. 

Under cut. Bit long. 

-Khux kids becoming Dream Eaters, love that. Fits into my thoughts on Dream Eaters. 

-Player verses Skuld and Ephemer...aahhhhh. Why this, why hurt me so. And Ephemer just...ending up alone. Agh. 

-Player’s stand against Darkness. Their death. Beautiful. Side thoughts, I personally love the Xehanort-Player connection and it was definitely foreshadowed in Dark Road with the Player-dreams but I’ll take a separate post to explain why I love it. 

-Brain ending up in Scala so long after Ephemer really hit me hard. Because it’s one thing to know that you and your friends are separating out into the winds and you might not never see each again, and it’s something else entirely to see your worst fears confirmed in the form of a statue, that you’ve missed your friend by generations and he’s long gone. While you’re still here.

-Brain’s appearance pretty much confirms the Eraqus-Brain connection in my mind. I’m also pretty certain Skuld as Subject X is too, but still no concrete scenes to point to! Why Nomura, why!

-I love how Lauriam and Elrena woke up surrounded by their Nobody element. Nice touches. Very likely that they lose their Hearts during the RG Fall disaster, because those worlds (Enchanted Domain and Dwarf Woodlands) are fallen to Darkness by KH1. 

-Where’s Ava? Where the fuck is Ava?

-Blatant confirmation from the Master of Masters himself that he set up the Foretellers to fight each other and fail. We’ve been theorizing that was the case forever, but now confirmed with Luxu knowing it too. Is that what Luxu told Ava, to start that fight?

-I’m not looking into any of MoM’s unfiction thoughts right now. Not enough info. 

-Brain and Luxu....this is where I’m confused. I’ve heard both the ideas that Luxu possessed Brain and also that Luxu’s original face is the same as Brain’s. I’m personally on the possession side, mostly because of Luxu saying what a shame it would be Brain died...creepy thoughts, man. Creepy. 

-But if that is the case with Luxu-Brain, then how does the Scala thing happen? Is it possible for Luxu to possess someone and go inactive for a while? Like how Xehanort apparently possessed Braig and Braig still did his own thing? Timeline of those scenes needed to determine.

Like yeah, Demyx helped deliver Ansem, but only under Vexen’s orders. He vanishes after that and not seen again (until the Re:Mind trailer where it’s a sign he quickly fucked off to go somewhere he had no reason to be, wHAT DOES THIS MEAN, NOMURA–)Ienzo’s initial reaction to him is “oh god, get away, wHY ARE YOU HERE.” The guards we don’t get the reactions of, mostly because they’re so focused on Ansem, Ansem’s too focused on the returnand by the time Even is back, Demyx is gone. (But his reactions to dealing with Demyx never seemed positive aside from “You’re the only one I can like, trust enough right now, gamble it on the wild card oh god” so maybe there’s a little positivity there, after the fact.)

There’s no “OLD PALS!” connection holding him there like with Braig, and even then I can’t see any of them forgiving Braig easily enough to trust him anywhere within gunshot range. 

And that’s just assuming Demyx is just Demyx, if he’s MoM– then why? There are so many other things he could be doing, especially with the Foretellers alive and kicking, and a Luxu to bother. If it was confirmed MoM was the man on the ledge making heart hands at the sky again at the end, then it’s just another sign he’s got other stuff to be doing rather than playing Wonderwall for the RG Crew.

Honestly I can see him trying to mingle with the Twilight Town set more. They’d react in more-fun ways, and be less on the defense (the kids, at least. Isa and Lea will probably be on the defense for the rest of their reborn lives). Demyx on the Destiny Islands playing the sitar loudly at anyone who gets even remotely close to him.

Thoughts on xigbar's character file?

So I didn’t realize KHinsider had a translation too, so I’m basing this post off of that version.

Xigbar seems to be implying a few things from his file, IMO (( though I’m not willing die on any of these hills, I could totally be persuaded to think otherwise, this is just initial thoughts ))

The Box is carrying information FOR another person, and the information is too sensitive be learned by anyone else except the person it’s made for. I’m taking this from the goat-letter analogy.

The black goat seems to be the MoM. But I can’t tell if Luxu, in this case, is the white goat, OR, if he’s the “delivery man”. If Luxu’s only the delivery man, then we know that there’s another person who obtains the box, and opens it to see it’s contents-- the white goat searching for the letter so he doesn’t immediately eat it like before.

The Box may have magical properties. It may change shape, its appearance may depend on whoever’s looking at it (like, maybe it’s black if you have darkness in your heart, but if you have a pure heart it’s white, i dont fucking know), maybe it turns invisible. MAYBE the box is completely data, like Data Olette’s money bag that Sora got in KH2 (which proves data can exist in the real world). And parsing the data is “reading the letter”.

I also realized that Luxu may be “the delivery man” because I’m pretty sure Luxu goes back to RETRIEVE the box before hiding it again. Here’s a timeline of Luxu throughout KH, and when he does or does NOT have the box:

So, my initial thought on why Luxu has the box again while observing the Keyblade Graveyard, is that Luxu may have needed to protect the box so that when the Wold ends after the War, the box is still safe. HOWEVER, now that we have the goat/letter analogy, it could be that when we see the MoM give Luxu the box in Case of Luxu, the contents within the box is completely different from LATER when Luxu has the box with in when observing the Keyblade Graveyard after the war. This is because, Luxu would be delivering “letters”, aka, secret contents.

i DONT know how reliable this is. There is not ANY in game evidence for this at ALL as of Vanilla KH3. This is all from this character file, and I don’t even know how reliable it is. But, you ask for my thoughts, so here we are.

On the colour of Kingdom Hearts.

This is the story of the Keyblade War as told to Kairi by her grandmother.

In 0.2 Luxu watches Kingdom Hearts appear in the sky after the first Keyblade War. It is the blue Kingdom Hearts, so is incomplete. You can see Starlight, with it’s token intact, which Sora later claims for his own keyblade.

It appears to be gathering small fragments of light from the remains of the battlefield. This is no doubt what the legend refers to when it says that, the light survived in the hearts of children, and the world was rebuilt with that light. It also states however that this is when the true light vanished into darkness (the true, gold Kingdom Hearts), so it's strange that the Kingdom Hearts that appeared before Luxu is already blue. Since Starlight is there with an intact chain, this is the very same battlefield Sora used the power of Union X after they died. It is therefore, the second timeline that has been influenced by the MoM and the timeline we played through and finished.

Originally, the very first time the world was devoured by shadow, I believe it WAS the gold Kingdom Hearts that vanished and never appeared again, true Kingdom Hearts. This scene is showing the creation of Riku's heart and soul from the light of the fallen wielders. They are the very essence of his being. He was made to ensure nothing like this would ever happen again, to protect the key to Kingdom Hearts. He is the First Light. This is why his instinct to protect is so strong, why he regained his true form in KH2 after shielding the others with his body.

"The world began in darkness, and from the darkness came light. From the light came the people, and the people had hearts."

It turned blue when, from Riku, the True King, the essence of the X-blade became 7 light pieces (the 7 Princesses) and 13 “dark pieces” (Sora/Vanitas). It would have turned gold once again once Riku had realized his destiny with Sora and Kairi. The Heart and both halves of the Key.

So then, why wasn't Kingdom Hearts gold when Luxu saw it in the second timeline if that's the case.

The interviewer is asking why, after seeing Riku’s sacrifice and dying, going to the Final World, talking to Chirithy and the stars, piecing Sora back together, and passing through the keyhole, we arrived back to the point right before Riku’s sacrifice, Sora then having to watch it a second time (shown from Sora's POV) and die again. After this is when we enter the tunnel, follow the light to Riku, and THEN Sora uses the power of waking to save everyone else. It seems like Nomura didn’t really answer the question at all. But he did.

One of the unvoiced stars in the Final World was Riku. I'd bet my life on it.

And its not the current Riku, his heart was being ushered down to darkness by the Lich, like everyone else’s. This is the past Riku, and he’s waiting for his Sora in the Final World, the Master of Masters, who isn't dead.

None of the other stars react to Sora this way. Besides Naminé and Nameless Star, none of them even acknowledge Sora's presence. Riku's heart, in a state of sleep (death). He is lamenting never telling Sora how he felt before he died, and is wondering if he hurt him by creating distance between them. Exactly what Sora thought about in Arendelle.

When the star speaks of “overpowering emotion filling him”, this is his heart being awakened by Sora's presence. And he did in fact tell Sora how he really felt.

He was saying:

And Sora's expression. His eyes are unfocused at first because he isn't seeing this with his eyes, he's seeing these things in his mind. Then he blinks, gasps, his eyes focus directly on the light, and his face lights up like I personally have never seen. We saw a glimpse of what he saw, but who knows what else Riku showed him, or told him.

This is the turning point. This is what changed the future. Dead Riku from the past finally telling the present Sora how he really feels. Contacting Sora in the Final World awakened his heart, and this would not have happened originally, because Riku wasn't dead yet. Sora was revived at the moment before Riku’s sacrifice because that was when the future changed, after talking to the stars. This caused the previous events of the past to be overwritten, “as though they never happened”. This is why Nomura refers to the footage from the ReMind trailer as a “scenario”, instead of as an “episode” like the other parts. A scenario is a hypothesized sequence of events, something that could happen. It will show the first timeline where Riku died, which is now what that version of events is. A hypothetical. It's no longer reality. So it seems in the original timeline, Sora still saw Riku sacrifice himself for him, and still managed to revive everyone, but he did not realize what that sacrifice signified.

When Xehanort summons Kingdom Hearts afterwards, it is once again gold and complete. The first time we have actually seen it as such. It had been blue in our timeline because Riku was dead, his heart was waiting in the Final World, for his Sora, the MoM, and that was etched in time. This is why, when Xehanort summoned the X-blade using Ventus and Vanitas (the timeline we saw it happen anyways), Kingdom Hearts was blue, when by all rights, it should have been gold. This is the very reason people assumed that true Kingdom Hearts was blue in the first place.

Changing the future should be impossible, so Kingdom Hearts never returned to it's true form when Sora went back in time to the age of fairy tales. Kingdom Hearts is complete again because Riku has been resurrected and the key to Kingdom Hearts is no longer lost in darkness, his "sleeping heart put back the way it was."

When Aqua enchanted Kairi’s necklace she told her the light in her would always lead her to the light of another. Someone to keep her safe. Her grandmother told her the same thing. Believe in the light and it will push the shadows away. They were both referring to Riku, the father of Kairi's light. Her light IS Riku's light. Kairi's specific bond with Sora and Riku was not accidental. I believe in the ending she's in Sora's heart, and that was where she was meant to stay, to keep his body from being disintegrated by darkness as he consumes it and turns it to light. And also, in such cases as we saw, both Riku and Sora's deaths, when she kept Sora's body together in the Final World, and he was then able to find and revive Riku through their connection. She effectively makes the both of them fucking immortal. Her allowing Xehanort to make the final blow against her was the sacrifice that allowed Riku to survive. She believed in the light, in Riku, and his light kept her safe. The three of them together are basically an unstoppable force, now that they have all accepted the truth. “That’s the story of the King of Truth.”

The last part of the known passage from the Lost Page seems to refer to Daybreak Town's bell ringing out when Ava attacked Luxu, signaling the start of the war. However, I believe it refers to a Funeral Toll - the technique of sounding a single bell very slowly, with a significant gap between strikes to commemorate someone who died. The lost page refers to Sora’s chance to change the future, his destiny, the final battle. The commemoration day of Riku's death.

Y'know, at least on Tumblr, I've only really seen people talking about the MoM in terms of who he is and stuff, even after Re:Mind, and I'm just sitting in my own little corner all:

How in the fuck is he here? In present day? I know some of the Keykids from KHUX got plopped into the Present Day of 12-ish years ago, but, like. He was there 75 years ago! Just chatting! And he poofed however many centuries ago it was. How? How he do that? Because, if you time travel via heart shenanigans, you have to adhere to the laws of time. So, like some people argue, if he WAS Sora--which I don't think he is--and he went back in time, as Sora has done, he would HAVE to stick to the timeline. But this bastard don't do that. He's hopping and skipping around.

And you could think, "Well, if he removes his heart and hops from vessel to vessel like Luxu did--" but Luxu doesn't sound like Luxu anymore! He doesn't look like Luxu anymore! The MoM sounds like MoM! I'd wager he looks the same, too!

But Riku could mask his voice to sound like Ansem's when he took his appearance and power. But that was because he was still semi-possessed? CoM and KH2 was weird. He beat him but he didn't. He's dead but he ain't because ??? Sora, it's Sephiroth!

I digress. *points at MoM* How you doin' that, you fuck?

Oh, and there's that ark shit that can teleport you forward if it's complete, so I guess that's what the Keykids used, but they don't remember SHIT and MoM clearly remembers All.

Who is the Riku in San Fransokyo?

As those of you who have read The Sleeping Realm theory know, it has been proposed that the Riku we see in San Fransokyo is actually Data Riku.

I want to examine some evidence that could help support this assumption, the biggest piece of evidence being the presence of the Darkubes.

In game, Hiro explains that these Darkubes were actually created by him as microbots, which can be controlled by a user’s thoughts, through a “neural transmitter”

We can assume this sentence is completed with “what you’re thinking” based on Hiro’s previous statement.

This establishes that the Darkubes react based on a connection to its controller. Interestingly enough, we discover that it is the Norted Riku who controls the Darkubes with the use of bugs (which is evident in the design on the microbots)

We can assume that the bugs have possessed the microbots, and that is how the bugs have been able to manifest in the real world (or at least what we think the real world is).

However, there are some issues here.

We are told in San Fransokyo that this Riku is Riku-Ansem, or the possessed Riku from KH 1 brought to this timeline. This is then taken back, and we are told this is actually Dark Repliku (cuz fuck you that’s why)

However, how would Dark Repliku have access to the Datascape and subsequently to the control of bugs? Moreover, whoever transmitted the bugs onto the microbots would have needed to establish a connection between the Datascape and the real world.

The only Riku we know of who can do this is Data Riku, who we know from Re:Coded, can open portals between the Datascape and the real world and even take those from the real world and insert them into the Datascape. It would not be surprising then for Data Riku to be able to transfer bugs onto real world technology and thus as a being of Data, be able to establish the neural connection necessary to control the bugs in San Fransokyo.

This makes me believe that despite what the game tells us, this Riku in San Fransokyo is objectively Data Riku. The Dark Riku in the Keyblade Graveyard is yet another Riku, Dark Repliku and they are separate beings.

But this conclusion comes with its own questions.

1) How did Data Riku get to the real world?

We can assume that if Data Riku is in the real world, he was placed into a Replica by the organization. Ienzo was planning to use a Data version of Roxas’ heart to place into a Replica bring him back, so we know this is possible.

2) Why would the organization want him?

This is hard to answer and I will be honest and say I do not have a definitive reason for why they would want him Norted, but we could assume it would have something to do with Jiminy’s Journal (which has been compared in the past to the Book of Prophecies by Maleficient in Re:Coded. Re:Coded is gonna be important guys just you wait)

Moreover, we know from Toy Box, that the Organization was experimenting with Data Worlds for some end.

3)How did they even know about Jiminy’s Journal? Does the organization know about the Datascape?

We know Young Master Xehanort knows about the Datascape, as he references it to Sora in DDD (More on the Datascape and DDD in another post coming soon...)

It would not be surprising if Luxu is especially interested in Jiminy’s Journal as well since there seems to be a connection between the BoP and JJ (This connection stems from their ability to craft words from data)

4) How would they get Jiminy’s Journal?

This is difficult to answer. We know Maleficient tried to seize the journal from Disney Castle but failed when Axel foiled her plans. It would seem almost impossible for the Organization to have infultrated Disney Castle without Chip and Dale immediately altering Sora & Co via Gummiphone. But this is the Organization were talking about...

Moreover, in Re:Coded, we may have been given a hint that something happened to Data Riku...

In the Data Castle Oblivion, a hooded Riku speaks to Sora.
