Some Lurien & Watcher Knights headcanons
- Lumaflies are highly intelligent given their small size, and can execute multiple commands in one sitting almost flawlessly. The only problem is that they're incredibly hard to train. They need to be taught as a collective, and if one fly messes up the whole process can be ruined. Luckily for Lurien, he's incredibly patient
- Lumaflies as a topic was always a nice talking point between him and Monomon. Monomon absolutely loves learning where she can, and the best way to get even more info is from the specialist himself. Lurien would always love these talks, its just so nice to finally be able to talk to someone about all his work
- Lumaflies are very reward driven and will continue to following commands for months as long as they're sure there's a reward for it. The flies in the Watcher's see protecting Lurien as the reward itself
- Alongside the fighting Watcher Knights, Lurien had another set for casual work. Like helping around in the spire or blocking off roads and building under construction in the city
- Whenever Lurien didn't feel like disturbing his butler he calls out a small group of Lumaflies that he trained to write/draw things for him. The little ones aren't the best at it, but he's more than happy with their work
- If Lurien ever did find out about the vessels in the abyss, his first reaction would likely be of shock or horror. But after getting over his shock he'd become incredibly empathetic towards The Pale King. Is he not doing the same thing with his Knights? Having thousands of little ones die for the sack of protecting and preserving? It would be an interesting conversation between the two of they ever got the chance
