So something is definitely up with Mrs. Castillo, right?

Like, in the sets she’s depicted dreamcrafting with an hourglass, she just generally seems to be way too chill with the Dream Chasers openly discussing the Dream World in front of her, seems to take a more active role in the Dream World than other dreamers we see, AND her comment in “Sound of Sirens” about recognizing the Dream World.

My first thought was that maybe she’s Lunia? This doesn’t exactly work with my theory about Logan being Lunia’s kid, which I believe more in, but I do want to tease this idea for a moment, even if it’s just a crack theory.

If we go with the idea Lunia was as old as, or even a little older than Oz during the Nightmare King’s first imprisonment, Mrs. Castillo would be the right age for her to be Lunia. Not to mention she has a similar loose curl pattern to Lunia, just shorter.

Speaking of her design, look at her dress. We don’t see it often in the show because she’s almost always in her food truck, but her character image shows the full thing

Lotus flowers, which symbolize rebirth, purity, enlightenment, and strength, all of which are pretty good descriptors for Lunia based on what we know of her and how the Night Bureau as a whole saw her. Not to mention her design is primarily blue with whites and yellows (and that one splash of green on her scarf), a color palette that basically matches up almost perfectly with Lunia.

One problem: Mrs. Castillo isn’t an aware dreamer, so how could she be Lunia? Easy: the price she paid to stop the Nightmare King and create the Grim Realm to trap him wasn’t her life, but her memories, her dreamcrafting, and her aware dreaming.

With the implication in S2 the Night Bureau never actually learned who Lunia was in the Waking World, it would make total sense for her to be right under Oz, Beau, and Hannah’s noses the whole time without any of them realizing because, even if they did run into her, she would have no memory of who they are, and that might be enough to rule her out for the Brooklyn Branch, even if there are other similarities. And, if she did lose her memories, it fits well with the themes introduced in S2.

As a final piece of evidence, her last name, “Castillo”, means “castle”. You know, maybe like Castle Nocturnia? The only castle we know of in the series aside from the Grimkeep?

Honestly, writing it all down right now I’m so torn between this theory and the Logan one. Or, who knows? Maybe it’s technically both and my updated theory in light of “Romancing the Spear” throwing a huge wrench into the timeline of Logan potentially being Lunia’s kid is correct. That kind of a theory would probably go like:

When Lunia created the Grim Realm, her body and soul remained, just without her dreamcrafting or memories of the Dream World. Meanwhile, part of her power remained in the Dream World, overtime forming into who we now know as Logan (after all, S1’s finale and S2 E10 show us that pure imagination power can do unbelievable things), thus making both theories true at once.

I’m a bit iffy on the above combined theory, especially since Logan hasn’t been shown with any specific connections to Mrs. Castillo like one may expect if it were true, so it probably is one or the other. Again, I’m more leaning towards the Logan theory, but there’s a weird amount of evidence pointing to Mrs. Castillo at least having a connection to Lunia.

How do you watch Dreamzzz and come to the conclusion Logan isn't insecure. Genuine question because I feel it's a central point to his character a lot

Why would his worst fear be his friends laughing at him and telling him he's not enough if he DIDN'T have insecurity issues??

A character is allowed to be Egotistical for no reason but LOGAN IS NOT ONE OF THOSE CHARACTERS

The whole Lunia hourglass thing WOULDNT have happened if Logan wasn't insecure. NK tells him that he's going to help him be a better team mate and Logan takes the offer. He would NOT have done this IF HE WAS CONFIDENT HE WAS A GOOD TEAM MEMBER

I think logan genuinely thinks he's better than everyone else and he wants people to know he's better than them

Wanting to prove you are better than someone isn't always about insecurity in logans case i think it's his big ego

I'm going to highlight episodes 5 and 7 cause i wanna use them as examples

Starting in episode 5 this is logan's first fuck up that the nightmare king is apparently gonna use to manipulate him later

However and this is me quoting the episode here go watch the episode if you wanna fact check me

Mateo: someone just had to turn it into a race

Logan: hey don't blame me! All i had to work with was lunia's dumb broken hourglass

Mateo: tell me you had the hourglass

Logan: that's not my fault you were the ones cheating at the race

Both lines show that logan doesn't think any of this is his fault he doesn't feel any guilt about it cause he does not view it as his fault (he does take accountability at the end of the episode but it will be shown later that he still thinks it's not his fault)

Also this is the first episode where the other kids first use their hourglasses to beat logan which I'd argue isn't building up any kind of inferiority complex in him but i think it's building up resentment (i think this is the right word?) For the others "cheating" in his own words

Now onto episode 7 i wanna highlight Lance's conversation with Logan cause i think it highlights how the nightmare king's way of getting to logan isn't by preying on his insecurities but targeting his ego

Lance: those were some sick moves bro! Logan was it?

Logan: uh yeah? That's me?

Lance: you are killing it! I'm over here like trying to study your game bro

Clear example of him showering him with complements to feed his ego

Lance: ugh that green dude has a totally unfair advantage

Logan: right?

Logan: hey! I'm no cheater

Lance: fight fire with fire bro

Logan: yeah they cheated so....

He is now supporting Logan's resentment of the others cheating that i talked about

Notice how he doesn't convince logan by telling him the hack will help him with his "weakness" or whatever he specifically told him to fight fire with fire and this is where we get to his fuck up

Now onto the big one the instance people point to to prove Logan is on fact insecure and that's his other conversation with lance

Lance: dude i used that cheatcode before and it was fine! It's probably the system that's jacked up

Lance: or you did it wrong that stuff happens

Lance: wouldn't be the first time you got your friends in hot water

Logan: what's that supposed to mean?

Lance: pillows peak and the hourglass

this time the nightmare king is trying a different approach he's trying to make Logan feel insecure about his mistakes

Logan: man how was i supposed to know that broken piece of junk was gonna be so important

However his new tactic isn't working cause Logan doesn't think it was his fault he does not care stay unbothered king

Lance: Logan you get that thing fixed you stop being the guy who screws everything up

Lance: you'd be kind of a hero

No this might sound like the inferiority complex is winning but based on what he says on the next episode I'd argue the part that got to him wasn't "you stop being the guy who screws everything up" but "you'd be kind of a hero"

Logan: let's get this bad boy fixed and show the team who the real clutch player is

Logan: now how do we get this thing repaired so i can be a ✨️hero✨️ like you said

Notice who the part he cares about is being a hero? Being the clutch player? He couldn't care less about his fuck up cause all he cares about is getting the W and showing the others he's better than them

I don't think there's an undertone of insecurity i think he's just a diva w a big ego

But the sick beats episode? Kay listen everyone hear me the fuck out for a sec so i saw this theory by @/angeldrawsstuffs and its been in my head like all fucking day and I cannot stop thinkin about it and while finishing a rewatch of season 1b I got to Light of Nocturnia and I had the thought of ‘if Lunia is Logan’s mom then why the hell would she be a character parallel for Mateo why would their stories be so intertwined and not Logan if he were really her son’ and then it hit me like a sack of fucking bricks

I remembered the French bios we got of the characters specifically of Logan where it directly mentions why he is the way he is with Mateo. It’s all jealousy and a lot seems to come from a deep deep level of masked insecurity and loneliness

And honestly? What would be be more of a catalyst for Logan’s internal struggles than finding out that Mateo also got to be the spiritual favorite/sucessor to the biological mother he never knew and never got to know instead being stuck with two neglectful parents that hardly pay him any mind

You could even take it a step forward where Mateo also lost his mom but Mateo still gets to keep his sibling and the love and attention from his father two thing Logan also seems to be missing in his life all added to and on top of the everything else

It is also 1am and I am fundamentally known to read into things more than is necessary so i might be super far off but it was a thought I had

"Yeah, go ahead Posen!!" she says excitedly as she extended her hands to you with a bright, closed-eyed smile. You softly placed your hands across her soft palms, smiling softly, as she gasped and wrapped her hands tightly around your single one,

I don't really have this theory anymore but I had a theory that lunia was actually Mateo and Izzie’s mother and the reason why she disappeared from the dreamworld because she got sick and died in the waking world (This was a year before season 2 released and it turned out they mama ain't dead she just left them)

A good bit of the characters appeal to me is that. None of them arent 'destined' or 'phrophecised' to do this or that

The main 4 simply were in the wrong places at the wrong times and they ended up as aware dreamers

Having Lunia be on of the mains parent takes away that aspect of them that makes them feel so real and the story a bit more haunting because. This all couldve happened to ANYONE and it just so happens to be them

Lunia being one of their parents enters bullshit "written in the stars" reasoning and i just do not like that trope all that much (And yes maybe you could include Zoey in this catorgorization but its different because shes the ONLY character who falls into something like it and its not multiple.)

Like idk it just makes the writing feel a bit more cheap and it would take away a lot about what i love about certain characters

Okay, so like I do for all my fav's, Logan has a Playlist. And I was listening to that Playlist when open up your eyes from the MLP movie came on.

And omg. I've traumatized Logan and that song was thr final braking point to make him a villian. So here's what that would be like!

So in the main fic Lunia has taken Logan from the ninja and gave him a "density"

She started to train Logan at 3 years old so his childhood just went out the window

Logans' job was to find the newest dream chasers and help them defeat thr nightmare king. But he couldn't be the one to do it. It had to be the dream chasers.

The reason it had to be the Dream chasers was because Logan could have done it when he was 1.

Let be break down Logans powers. He has some powers from all the ninja. He takes on Jay's power the most because he also has wind powers from kai's grandmother the Princess Iron Fan.

But he also has and electric version of the samadhi fire

So Logan is fucking powerful!

Anyway then Lunia dies when he fails to get his hour glass and thr last thing she says to him is "you failed me"

Then he has to rely on the dream chasers but there not even friends with Logan.

They don't notice if he goes missing, they don't include him in missions, and they hang out without him.

So after failing tomany times, he finally snaps and takes his life into his own hands

He finds out how to use his powers and makes a portal to go back to ninjago

I think it would be cool to see him go, Bat shit. But I also worry for it because Logan would have to collect powers and Lunia hourglass would be one if those and Logan was born from the hourglass so if it loses its powers Logan might die?

A season 2 plot idea I had in mind

While looking for a way to close the rift, the dream chasers find a hidden scroll in castle nocturnia that talked about Lunia and her allies 500 years ago.

According to the scroll, every 500 years it is fated that there is a rift made between the waking world and dream world, and a dreamkeeper needs to gather along 4 allies and close the rift.

Each ally,along side their dream crafting powers, has a specific role with its own powers that will aid them in battle.

The first role is the soul. The soul is connected to dreamers and dream creatures, being able to create dream creatures and aid people.

The second role is the gear. The gear is connected to the dream realm itself and can use its resources to create weapons, vehicles etc.

The third role is the clock. The clock can manipulate time, rewind and create time loops.

The fourth role is the mind. The minds powers consist of mind control, telekinesis and telepathy. People whose role is the mind are usually very low imaginative.

Each role can take advantage of their allies powers because they mostly operate on cooperation. For example: if a person whose role is the gear is next to a person whose role is the mind, the gear can use the others telekinesis so it's easier to combine while the mind can use the others connection with the dream world to have knowledge of where exactly they are.

The dream chasers come to the conclusion that Mateo must train to become a dream keeper and the others must train for their respective roles with: Izzie as the soul, Cooper as the gear, Zoey as the clock and Logan as the mind.

The plot itself is also a huge journey filled with both dream world and waking world shenanigans, as Nova and the insomniacs are closer and closer to finding out about the dream worlds secrets aswell.

mateo is obviously in the green lion, i feel like green herself would look like a cross between all three lion designs from the three iterations (defender of the universe, voltron force, and legendary defender) + some of the aesthetic mateo has w his z-blob comics (i dont know how z-blob fits in yet i came up with this while i was brushing my teeth)

izzy would be in yellow, i feel like it’d look like the original defender of the universe yellow lion but with some of izzy’s magical pizazz yannow? (i say this because i feel like force/legendary defender’s yellow lions don’t have enough izzy-like vibes) maybe yellow would have some of legendary defender yellow’s features but not too many

(also i know that blue probably feels like, at first glance, it might fit her better esp w how bunchu is blue but just bear with me once i get to blue and my explanation)

cooper would be in red, of course, i feel like red would definitely have some legendary defender and some force vibes + a good amount of defender of the universe’s vibes

logan would be in blue, since he can’t dreamcraft the way the others can it, for the majority of the time, would look like defender of the universe’s original blue, without much variation. once he gets bigger it’s start looking different but i’ll need to think more abt what it’ll look like

as for why he’s in blue and not izzy: in the show, logan kind of struggles with messing up more than the others do and tries to prove himself worthy (which is why he brings lunia’s hourglass to “lance” (really funny that the nightmare king chose the name lance now that I think about it))

i will admit that i have not gotten the chance to watch defender of the universe in full yet, but i have been watching the beast king golion series that got adapted into the cartoon. in that series, takashi shirogane, the pilot of the blue lion, (equivalent to sven) dies, and princess fala (equivalent to allura) takes his place in the blue lion. there is an small arc + full episode dedicated to her struggling to make it past the team (minus akira kogane aka keith) expecting her to be on his level, and struggling with the fact that she keeps messing up more than the others do (sound kind of familiar?)

anyways also kind of off topic but there’s agent takashi which made me do a double take (especially because he looks like legendary defender’s takashi shirogane. the short black hair with the white in the front? i couldn’t believe it. i was laughing hysterically. shoutout to background character agent takashi for being the reason for this au btw you barely get any screentime but you have a special place in my heart and i haven’t seen anybody else notice the similarities) and i decided “hey what if he was blue’s pilot before logan and now there’s more drama during the REM competition”

And, of course, finally, we have zoey in the black lion! probably not too much of a surprise, my idea is that the team has no way to form voltron and fight the nightmare king because they don’t have somebody in the black lion but hey wouldn’t you know it? there’s this really skilled person who has a lot more experience with the dream world than them and she could be perfect! her black lion, i feel like, would take a lot from force’s black lion, with some elements from the defender of the universe and legendary defender black lion too

i will say that i may be inclined to change my mind about some of these choices!!! i know that there are arguments to be made about swapping izzy + logan (especially since, with my point about agent takashi causing drama could be enhanced by the fact that izzy specifically accidentally runs into him in the background of the episode where the competition is introduced) and if anybody wants to shoot me an ask feel free (do be warned, though, tumblr has been clearing my ask inbox for no reason- i will look in it, answer one ask, and it will be empty for all of my blogs. i’ve even lost asks from a long time ago that i meant to answer at some point, and it sucks that it’s happening in the first place.) i will do my best if i do get an ask but keep in mind that tumblr has been really hungry for asks lately!

The Star Covers: The Tale of The Starterian Princesses

Inspired by my previous work and by @ladyshandioftheendless kissteriaverse works, here’s a big backstory piece for the Star Covers universe

Millions of years ago, when the universe was still rather young and developing, an ancient woman created by the stars named Misera arrived. She was the goddess of magic and had a desire to create magical cosmic realms across the universe to expand her powers in unique ways. These magical realms are the Dimensions, each with its own cultures, traditions and civilizations, inhabited by the humanoid dimensionlings. Of the many dimensions she created, the first 12 dimensions helped kept the balance of magic strong and aligned. Starteria, Kissteria, Godsteria, Cloverteria, Duransteria, The Dark Clipse, Namnos, Saffron, Umbra, Krytis, Beatlemania and Monkeemania held their respective rocks with its own shapes and powers and the rocks kept magic thriving throughout millions of years.

After each of their creations, Misera blessed each of them with ancient artifacts called Talentments, powerful magical pieces that grants people highly advanced magic in order to protect the universe and expand their worlds. Starteria was blessed with 18 of these Talentments and the first rulers of the realm decided to gift these items to their 18 beloved daughters, the Starterian Princesses. The princesses Harmony, Faye, Amore, Electra, Gemma, Alina, Iris, Aqua, Nera, Rosina, Fern, Astra, Ember, Crystal, Raven, Glace, Solara, and Lunia possessed the music, mist, love, thunder, sparkles, diva, seasons, water, drums, nature, animals, space, fire, jewel, darkness, ice, sun, and moon Talentments respectively.

For years, the princesses struggled to balance their royal duties, their magical powers and their personal lives but overtime they became more logical and soon grew to be strong and independent young women. However, their story takes a turn for the worse on the night of the Festival of Music, an annual holiday that occurs on the first day of summer every year. It is a celebration of unity, music and love between the dimensions of the universe. On this particular night, the princesses were greeted by the princes of Kissteria and Princess Harmony, the oldest of the sisters, was feeling rather lonely.

“What’s going on sis?” Electra asked. She found her older sister sitting alone on her favourite balcony in the palace. Electra knows that Harmony hides there when she’s feeling down. “Prince Demon of Kissteria is waiting for a dance with you.”

“I know. I apologize. It’s just that our parents are expecting me to begin the trial of the rulers soon. Which means at some point I will be the ruler of this place.” Harmony explained. She soon shredded some tears and Electra came over to wipe them away. “Our parents will be gone soon and I may outlive you and the rest of our sisters because of the ruler spell.”

“You mean, the spell that grants the rulers longevity?” She asked and Harmony nodded. “Please, don’t worry about that right now. Tonight is supposed to be a joyful night. It’s not often that the Kissterian princes come here and I’m sure Demon wishes to see you.”

“But that’s the thing. If I become ruler, I’ll outlive him too. And I really want to be with him forever.”

“Well think about this. He’s a great man to you, despite his grumpy face and demonic attitude, he puts you on a pedestal because he loves you. And he’s a prince too. With both of your statuses and your undeniable love for each other, I’m certain you too will be ruling together.”

“But what about Kissteria?”

“Harmony. There’s 12 princes.” They both laughed and Harmony smiled at her younger sister. “Besides, if you two get bored of Kissteria or Starteria, Starchild and I will fill in for you guys once we get married.”

“Oh are you finally gonna propose to him? Didn’t you failed at that the last time you saw him?” Harmony teased her with a smirk

“Don’t bring that up!” She retorted as they both laughed. “But yeah I’m gonna try tonight. I really do love him and I hope he loves me too. Do I look good? Is my hair ok? What about my dress?!” Harmony patted her shoulders and moved a few loose strands of Electra’s dark raspberry hair back and looks into her grey eyes.

“Look you look wonderful tonight and Starchild is such a lovely and romantic guy. He compliments you endlessly. When I was talking to him earlier, he couldn’t stop talking about you and how amazing you are. I’m sure he will say yes.” Harmony soothed and Electra smiled at her

“Thanks sis. Now let’s go down. A party isn’t a party without all of the princesses. Besides, it’ll be fun watching Ember setting the dining room on fire.” Electra joked and Harmony rolled her eyes as they both walked back to the main stairway to the ballroom. The royal purple walls decorated with white pillars, golden streamers and pink flowers. As the two sisters head inside, Electra ran off to find her lover and Harmony stood next to one of the rainbow stained glass windows and observed the crowd. She watch Solara and Lunia laughing with their favourite soldiers in the Starterian Military, Bella Horizon and Keira Gleamington, over some funny stories they’ve gained over training. She saw her sister Glace flirt unsuccessfully with Princess Kazemi, the water princess of Cloverteria, and the neighbouring princess expressed joy and amusement at Glace’s cuteness. She even saw Amore ranting about the princesses instructors to Prince Catman and saw his confused expression throughout the chat.

“There you are!” A voice exclaimed joyously. Harmony looked up at her Prince Demon and smiled. She admired his red trench coat with gold button and white gloves along with his black vest and dress pants with brown boots. His face was covered in his iconic demon winged makeup and his hair was wavy and held in his usual ponytail. “I was worried that you got sick or something. Glad to see you safe and sound.”

“Oh don’t worry about it. Just tired that’s all dearest.” She assured and took his hand.

“Now that you’re here, we should have our dance together.” He commented and Harmony accepted and joined him on the white reflective floor. They both looked into each other’s eyes with endless love as he gently gripped her by the hand and waist. By the corner of her eye, she spotted Electra and Starchild standing together and smiling, with her face blushing bright red. Harmony knew for a fact that Starchild was praising her endlessly.

“Demon, I want to ask you, how would you feel if I become ruler of Starteria? My parents are already making plans for me to take the trial.” She asked nervously.

“My love, I understand your concerns but just know that I want you to be happy and if being a ruler doesn’t make you happy, you should tell your parents. Besides, you have multiple sisters who are willing to become ruler. And with Electra planning on proposing to Starchild, it’s possible you won’t have to worry about the trial anymore.” He explained and Harmony looked away worried as she glanced at her sister.

“But I want to live my life with you. Demon, you’re the most perfect man in the universe and I’m worried that if I become ruler, I’ll outlive you. I can’t do that to you.” She protested and Demon takes her hands and pulls her closer.

“Please. I’m not worried about that. But I am worried about one thing.” He confessed.

“What’s that?” She asked and watched him drop to one knee and she looked on surprised and started crying tears of joy. She looked up and saw Electra and Starchild giving her a thumbs up, learning that they were in on this situation.

“You are the love of my life, the most beautiful princess of them all and I don’t want to become ruler if it means I can’t be with you. You have made my life all the more special and worth living. So I ask you, will you make me the happiest prince on Kissteria and be my queen?” He asked, holding up a diamond ring and Harmony laughed joyfully and dropped down in front of him.

“Yes! How can I say no to that cute face?!” She kissed him and he slowly slipped the ring around her finger and they embraced as the crowd in the ballroom started cheering for the newly engaged couple. As they get up, they continued embracing and Harmony’s worries slowly melted away. “Your turn!” She called to Electra and she blushed redder than ever.

“What?! I uh..” She laughed nervously and Starchild looked at her with curiosity.

“What is she on about?” He asked sweetly. Soon Electra showed the diamond ring, burning in her pocket. He looked on surprised before smiling brightly. “Well this is a pleasant surprise.” He stated warmly before pulling out another diamond ring and she smiled brightly.

“Great minds think alike I suppose!” She joked and they both laughed warmly and they kissed.

“How long have you planned this?” He asked.

“For a while I guess” She answered with a laugh and they both embraced as the crowd cheered for them.

“About time. I was trying to get him to do something for months” Demon stated and they both laughed and hugged each other. Suddenly, Serena Eldress arrived. She was the royal adviser to King Lucidum and Queen Stella and she arrived with a frightened look on her face.

“Lady Eldress? What’s going on?” Harmony asked.

“The Dark Clipse. They are coming toward us. Crimson has arrived.” She alerted. Harmony looked out the windows and saw several monsters invading the city. Shadowmoons hunt down and attack any civilian they find in the streets.

“But I thought Crimson was imprisoned?” Demon assumed. He watched Serena hesitate and looks away before looking back at him.

“I don’t know what happened but she escaped from our clutches and then she returned home. Haven’t you heard that her father has been killed and she took over? She might be back to get her revenge on us all.” She explained and Harmony watched the chaos ensue outside

“Sisters, come on we need to save our people. I don’t know what Crimson wants but anyone who threatens our home is an automatic enemy of mine.” Harmony ordered. Her sisters nodded and they leave as fast as they can but Demon grabbed her hand

“Please you can’t face her. She has the ruler spell now which means she’s more powerful than before.” He warned

“I’m sorry but as the next ruler of Starteria, the safety of my people is my priority. Please seek shelter or return home love. We’ll meet once we clear the threat.” She promised.

“I hope you’re right. Please be safe my dear.” They both kissed each other lovingly before Harmony ran off with her sisters. Demon watched on terrified and Starchild hugged him

“Don’t worry. They’ll be ok.” He assured him. They turned to Lucidum and Stella who witnessed their departure and rushed from the scene.

Soon, the princesses faced the wrath of the new ruler of the Dark Clipse, Crimson. With her head covered by a large red and white mask and matching armour and clothing, the princesses could see the rage in her eyes.

“Crimson! Stop this invasion immediately!” Princess Faye ordered coldly but Crimson sends a large blast in her direction and she gets smacked into one of the palace towers.

“I am the Crimson Witch and this world will be mine. This is punishment for my imprisonment. What was the point honestly? All because I was sent on a mission to clear out some of you glittering scums. Sorry my father was a terrible person who didn’t know how to run a planet. But I’m here to make things better, starting with killing each one of you.” She declared and sends multiple blasts at each of them, each one stronger than the last. They’ve tried to hold their ground but soon the long battle ended when they were all out of breath. As they laid exhausted, Harmony saw her parents standing before them on a balcony, staring at their daughters tormentors.

“Crimson Witch, your reign of terror will come to an end!” The king declared and his queen created golden bubbles around their daughters.

“Darlings, it’s alright now. You’ll be safer than ever once you leave this place” Stella soothed them

“Where are we going?!” Aqua asked terrified

“Earth.” She answered. “You must try to survive on that planet until the threat is defeated. Please take this with you. It’s the first of its kind and I will send you a message through it once we figured everything out.” She explained before handing Harmony a small electronic device called a StarPhone. Technology in the dimensions has always been far more advanced than Earth but Harmony looked at it surprised

“Mom we can’t leave you behind!” Ember begged.

“You’re gonna have to this time. I love you all so much.” She gently whispered before launching them off, shedding a tear as she heard her daughters screaming in fear and sadness. Little didn’t she know that the princes, especially Demon and Starchild, watched them depart in fear and despair, begging for them to come back. The other young princes and princesses watched on horrified but watched as the king and queen send large golden rays to the Crimson Witch. The king and queen were certain that the entire world would fall into chaos if they weren’t any sort of protection. In a last ditch effort to prevent the Crimson Witch’s triumph, the couple embraced and kissed each other for the last time before shining bright violet auras and the light stretched across the sky as the witch watched the royal couple disappear, leaving behind a bright purple star-shaped gemstone.

“A rock?” She asked confused, cautiously stepping forward towards the ancient object. The rock of Starteria was finally created and magic would be balanced for eternity. The witch knew that her power would strengthen once she takes it for herself. She reaches before a beam of fire strikes her arm. Clutching it in pain, she looked to see Demon and Starchild, glaring at the tyrant.

“You’ve brought disaster to all of us. I don’t care that you became the ruler of the Dark Clipse. You’ve destroyed the legacy of your realm forever and endangered the people of Starteria! And until our princesses are returned, you and the Dark Clipse will no longer be our allies in the peace of the universe!” Demon declared and the Crimson Witch looked at the young princes and sends multiple blasts at them and used her powers to grow larger and destroyed a huge portion of the palace and a part of the palace lands on top of Demon and injured his shoulder.

“Demon!” Starchild screamed and pulls him up. “Lady Eldress! Please! Get the army out immediately! They need to help as many people as possible!” He ordered and Serena nodded and ran back. Many soldiers ran and killed various monsters across the city and people ran in a panic. The world was changing in the worst ways possible as soldiers were murdered, royal families torn apart, and for the first time in the dimensions history, the 12 supreme dimensions were locked into a brutal war against the most powerful and dangerous woman in the Dark Clipse

Harmony awoke on the grassy terrain of the earth. The sky was dark and covered with stars and tiny grey clouds. It had seemed like days since the princesses were transported to the earth from their home and Harmony looked around and saw her sisters, sitting on the grass, mixes of emotions on their faces. Anger, fear, confusion and grief.

“Are you all alright?” She asked and they all nodded and she looked at Princess Nera, who was pacing angrily around the hillside

“I can’t believe this! That stupid Crimson had no reason to attack us! Like yeah I get it, getting imprisoned is annoying and trust me I would be too, but that’s not an excuse to attack our home! What did she get out of this!?” She yelled annoyed. She was always the most aggressive of the princesses so the others weren’t that surprised with her behaviour.

“I just hope that the others are ok up there.” Amore hoped. Harmony looked up at the stars, tearing up, thinking about her parents and her lover.

“Me too. Also that timing is just unfair, especially when you two just got engaged.” Glace remarked and Harmony looked at Electra, who was shaking in fear over the idea of losing her prince.

“Look we’re gonna be alright. We just need to find a way back to Starteria.” Harmony declared

“How?! We’re stuck on a practically unknown planet to us, our home is invaded by monsters, and there’s no one here who can help us!” Ember questioned.

“Seriously, this whole situation is ridiculous! It’s hopeless!” Gemma remarked

“We just need to have hope. There is a way to bring things back together. We just need to get going and find a way back. And when we get back, we’re gonna have to remove the spell off of that witch” Harmony decided

“You mean Crimson?” Aqua asked

“No The Crimson Witch. She’s no longer the same person as she used to be. By removing the spell off of her, we can get rid of all our problems.”

“But she hasn’t produced an heir.” Iris pointed out

“Doesn’t matter. What matters is keeping our people safe from her tyranny and destroy every enemy in our path. Now, if I remember from my studies, there should be a Guardian Spire somewhere on this planet so we can use that to get back home and stop her” Harmony informed. Guardian Spires are large temples where people can transport from earth to dimensions, each one for the supreme dimension in a different part of the world.

“You think we can do it?” Alina asked

“We need hope in this fight right now. Come on. Let’s see what we could find.” Harmony ordered and ran down to the bottom of the hill. Her sisters knew she was stubborn as hell about anything she sets her mind on. They slowly got up and joined her as she walked out. They travelled across the valley for a little while until Harmony stood at the edge of the valley in shock.

“What’s happening?” Electra asked. She looked down with the rest and everyone stood in shock and held back tears. Down below, there was a village where Shadowmoons were roaming freely, attacking and killing civilians, and destroying homes, setting them ablaze.

“She’s here.” Harmony replied grimly. Just as she stated, The Crimson Witch rose from the burning village and spotted them

“There you are. You don’t know how long I’ve been looking for you but thankfully you hand delivered yourself to me. You really think you have a chance against me? I am the leader of the greatest dimension in existence and once I kill all of you, Starteria will be mine as well. Now don’t worry, Starteria will be in good hands.” She declared, sending off large golden rays at them. The group tried to deflect the attacks, but one by one, they failed and were vaporized instantly, leaving only their talentments behind. Harmony watched in horror as she watched her sisters die in front of her, tears streaming down her face and the witch smirked at her misery

“How could you?!” She screamed in disbelief and agony

“Take this as a lesson princess. None of this would’ve happened if you haven’t have trapped me in the first place. But you don’t have to worry about being leader anymore as I will be a better leader than you’ll ever be. I’ll destroy every dimension you’ve come in contact with and this waste of a planet to show you how powerful I can be.” She promised and Harmony glared at her

“You shouldn’t underestimate this planet.” She warned

You shouldn’t underestimate me.” She warned, sending on more blast quickly, vaporizing Harmony instantly and leaving her talentment behind, successfully ending the royal family of Starteria forever. She looked at the talentments, lying on the ground and goes to touch one. But as she did, the ground began to tremble underneath her and she fell over. She flew up from the ground and looked at the earth’s surface, cracks forming on the ground and she looked on surprised. Additionally, bright rainbow light shoots out of the ground and strikes her in the arm.

“What is that?!” She asked annoyed. She creates a shield around her and flies into the crack and notices a large rainbow light orb in the centre of the planet. “Hmm interesting.” She remarked, rushing to get a hold of the orb but she gets zapped by its powerful energy. She saw her arm gaining a rainbow scar on her arm and knew it was time to leave. This power was more powerful than she imagined and had to leave it behind. She flew and saw the talentments falling through the cracks. As she desperately wanted to get that power, she tried to grab them quickly but her arm twitched in pain over the scar she had received. She had no choice but to leave her goal behind and flies off to the Dark Clipse above the planet. The rainbow lights slowly dimmed and the planets cracks slowly healed over the years and soon the memory of the planets rainbow orb was forgotten.

The Star Covers stared in horror and disbelief over what was just presented to them. The Eldress sat in her throne, looking grim and guilty. It is clear that the dimensions were never the same after the witch’s attack and The Eldress taking the role of leader was not a decision made by her.

“So what happened to the princes?” Cassie asked.

“After the princesses were killed, the princes were so devastated that they remained in their dimension till the end of their reign, refusing to marry another. As a result, no heir to the throne was conceived. So the position was passed onto the current ruler The Elder. She was a member of the royal family who took the position after the tragic death of her parents and arrest of her older brother.” She answered

“And the Dark Clipse started destroying dimensions left and right?” Tanya questioned

“They do. But they haven’t dare attempt to attack us yet because she knows I was there. That’s why we don’t allow any Dark Clipse scoundrels into our beloved dimension.” She responded

“But surely they all aren’t bad people right?” Maya questioned

“My dear, The Dark Clipse is full of monsters and criminals. They will soon spread their villainy onto their children.” She added. “Even the ones who defected from that place who ended up here.” All The Star Covers were a bit surprised by her statement but they kept that feeling to themselves.

“And you girls are gonna save us from them. They have caused enough harm to this world and the rest of the universe. But thanks to the ancient prophecy, you girls have enough power to end their reign of terror and destruction upon the rest of the dimension. Everyone started leaving the new futuristic city of Starteria and started taking the large elevator of the Tower of Stars.

“Katherine. Come here will you?” She asked. Katherine turned to the leader and came to her. She looked at her leaders bright purple eyes and her serious expression

“Yes Eldress?” She asked with a small smile.

“Listen to me. The rest will be counting on you for guidance and support. As a leader you must never let your thoughts control you. Guardians are meant to protect and serve the people at all times and if you must do everything in your power to protect them, even lose your own life, then that is a duty you must be willing to take on. Their lives are precious and they must be your priority. Understood?” She explained.

“Yes. I would do anything for my family and friends. But why are you asking me this?” She asked

“Harmony was the oldest of her sisters. They were following her guidance and it resulted in their deaths. You can’t let the same fate happen to your friends.” She explained. Katherine didn’t knew how to feel but knew that The Eldress is very intelligent and very respectful so Katherine simply nodded.

“Understood. They’ll be safe and I’ll do whatever it takes to help them.” The Eldress smiled warmly. She patted Katherine’s shoulder and wished her safe travels back to Earth. Katherine joined her friends and came to the guardian spire, a huge amount of pressure laying on her as she watched her friends embrace each other. They activate the console inside the bright purple guardian spire and a large light surrounds them and they fly off and land on earth. Outside, they saw Kiss outside waiting for them.

“So how was it?” Gene asked.

“There was a lot that they never told us.” Hailey answered.

“It’s like they want us to get killed.” Kelsey remarked annoyed.

“The Eldress went through that whole experience remember. She probably is still shaken up by it.” Paul informed. “I wouldn’t be so quick to judge right now. Come on, let’s go home.” They got inside of their cars. They had a long drive from Boyd’s Cove to St. John’s and it was already 8 pm. Katherine went over to Paul and she looks up at the small red star in the sky.

“Paul do you think we’ll stop them from attacking the earth?” She asked

“We’ve been fighting them for over 30 years now. Even though we’ve had so many losses and injuries, I still have hope that things will get better. As long as we help each other and everyone else, we’ll be just fine. Trust me ok? Everything’s gonna be alright.” He assured her. Katherine nods and joins her friends in Gene’s car. However, during the drive, she couldn’t stop thinking about what The Eldress told her

“Harmony led her sisters and it resulted in their deaths. You can’t let the same mistake happen again. If you must sacrifice your life to protect everyone, that is a duty you are willing to take on.” Katherine realized that guardians are here to protect, they don’t have time for themselves. Katherine knew what needs to be done

“I’ll make sure none of my friends gets killed. I’m a guardian and I will fight to keep them safe. I don’t know how but it’s my life and I will use it to protect them”

Night Terrors we're swooping down trying to take down the four dreamcrafter.

"Hunter?

Anna asked again with a worried tone in her voice since he didn't respond previously. Hunter shook his head.

"I'm okay Anna! Just keep the attack going!

Hunter took out his bow and started shooting the terrors. Anna smiled and went back into the fight. Oz was still blasting the terrors with his lazergun while Lunia was flying in the sky and using her staff.

Even with all their effort it seemed like they were gonna lose. The Nightmare king laughed as more Night Terrors entered the fight. And that's when it happend, when everyone was busy trying to shoot them out of the sky they all heard a scream. It was Anna.

"ANNA!"

Anna woke up and with that the Night terror was now also in the waking world. Oz didn't hesitate and woke up aswell.

"OZZY! DON'T-"

Hunter tried to reach out to Oz but he had already dissepaired into the sand.

Only Lunia and Hunter were left. There were too many, with half of their team gone it was certain. They we're gonna lose.

Huh? Lunia? What was she trying to do?

Hunter desperately tried to shoot the Night Terrors that were diving down at him but he wasn't fast enough. One flew right into him and threw him into the ground. It cackled as they both vanished.

Lunia did seal the Nightmare king away..but at cost of having her team break up...was it really worth it? Losing her life? Could've she done anything else?.

At the waking world.

Hunter shot up as sweat ran down his face. He quickly grabbed the nearest weapon he could find. What was a flashlight he had stored up in his nightstand. In case of emergencies. He got out of bed and went looking for the Night Terror. There were no signs of it. None. Nothing. He opened his door slowly as he turned on his flashlight. He slowly walked out his room and walked down the stairs.

Mateo chewed on the nail of his thumb as he mulled over the physics homework on the table in front of him as Logan, who sat across from him, did the same. Well Logan was less doing homework and more rocking out to an air guitar. 

Cooper was also at the table with the two only he had finished his work about fifteen minutes ago and was now engrossed with a video game on his phone. 

Mateo sighed and took his eyes off his paper. He was starting to understand why Cooper insisted that physics wasn’t a real thing, it honestly kind of sucked. 

Maybe he just needed a quick comic break. 

Mateo turned in his seat so he could more easily zip open his backpack and pull out his tablet. Z-Blob greeted him as the slime was able to see light again. 

“Hey bud,” 

Mateo looked around and seeing that no one else was in that part of the library, reached into his bag and pulled out his tablet. Z latched on to his arm as he reached in and when Mateo pulled his arm back out Z-Blob came with. 

Z-Blob flopped to the table and looked down at the pages of homework he had landed on as Mateo set his tablet down only for the slime to shake himself as if he was disgusted by the papers. 

Mateo snickered, “Yeah homework is pretty gross,” 

Z-Blob looked down at the homework again before looking up and pointing his head in Cooper’s direction. 

“Hm?” Mateo hummed, cocking his head to the side in confusion. 

The slime looked back down at the page for a third time. He then hopped off the paper towards Cooper and pointed his head again. 

Finally it clicked what Z-Blob was trying to communicate. 

“Ooooohhhhh,” Mateo said, picking up his pencil and glancing at his paper to see which questions he still had to answer, “Hey Coop?” 

“Yeah?” Cooper wondered, not taking his attention off his phone. 

“What is Mach Number?” Mateo quizzed, preparing himself to write down the answer. 

“Mach number gives the ratio of the speed of the object to the speed of sound in the fluid. It's formula is m equal u over c and it was figured out by a guy named Ernst Mach,” Cooper muttered. 

Mateo grinned and scribbled down what Cooper had told him, “Thank you,” 

“Yeah, no problem. Love you too,” Cooper responded in the same somewhat out of it voice he’d been using. 

All in the span of a couple seconds many things ended up happening. Logan instantly started laughing as red sprang to Mateo’s face as he dropped his pencil and put his head in his hands to hide the blush. Cooper seemed to mentally blue screen for a second before he realized what he had said and started to stutter out swears and apologizes. 

Logan threw back his head as he laughed, “PFFFFF HA, BRO WHY’D YOU ADMIT TO THAT DURING HOMEWORK TIME!? HAHA!” 

“I don’t- I DONT KNOW! It-it just slipped out!” Cooper shot back trying to deflect only to let his head drop in embarrassment, “Mateo I’m so sorry! I didn’t-!” 

“It’s fine!” Mateo squeaked. 

Cooper groaned and grabbed his hoodie hood to throw it over his head. He pulled on the drawstrings and the opening of his hood shrunk so half of Cooper’s face was no longer visible and then Cooper face planted into the table. 

Logan kept on laughing for a bit before it died out to just the occasional snicker but Mateo had mostly tuned it out at that point as too many thoughts swarmed around in his head. 

Did he really just admit that? Cooper wasn’t actually in love with him right? There was no way they were at that point in their relationship yet! 

A nervous laugh came from Cooper and he abruptly stood where he swung his bag over his shoulder. 

“I’m going to drown myself in the bay now,” He announced before speed walking behind the nearest bookcase and disappearing. 

Logan sniffed as his snickers died completely, “Hey, did he just—“ 

Mateo was already shoving his things into his bag to go after Cooper however. He was only slightly concerned that Cooper might actually try and drown himself so most of his urgency came from the fact that he didn’t want to end things on note that had just happened. 

“Come on Z-Blob,” Mateo told his green little friend as he picked him up, “Let’s go catch up to Cooper.” 

Logan blinked, “Wha-bro! You just gonna leave me here?” 

Mateo gave Logan a look that he hoped came off as more curious than pissed, “You can come if you want, I never said you couldn’t.” 

Logan stared at Mateo with his weird beast like stare for a moment before shrugging, “I was just being dramatic, this doesn’t really seem to need us getting involved,” and just as Logan started to lean back in his chair to relax he stopped and added, “Ai, you probably know this but physical contact will help keep him from going off to anxiety land.” 

Mateo nodded sharply, “Noted,”

Mateo had to admit that keeping up with someone as tall as Cooper was an exercise in and of itself. By the time Mateo had even managed to find him Cooper was already all the way down the street heading in the direction of the park. 

After spending a few blocks closing the distance between them Mateo called out, “COOPER! Wait up!” 

Cooper tensed at that, his shoulders rasing, and instead of slowing down he started walking faster. 

Mateo groaned, add physical activity to the list of things he hated. 

“Hey! Cooper! Cooper stop!” Mateo yelled, deciding to take the speaking approach instead of continuing to chase after him, “I just wanna talk!” 

Cooper slowed slightly but he still wasn’t stopped completely.

A sour taste grew in Mateo’s mouth, god this was starting to remind him of something he’d much rather forget. In spite of it though Mateo called out, “Don’t run away from me again! Please!” 

That stopped Cooper in his tracks but it left Mateo with a growing guilty feeling that made his gut churn. 

Mateo hurried over to Cooper and once he was within an arm's length away he grabbed Cooper’s fisted hand in his own and rounded around to face Cooper. 

Cooper’s face was scrunched up like he was in physical pain but Mateo couldn’t blame him, they were no doubt remembering the same thing. 

Of course that’s when Mateo’s words failed him, but he couldn’t just say nothing! 

Mateo growled at himself why was drawing and writing so much easier than talking? Why couldn’t he just make this a comic and explain to Cooper everything he wanted to? Izzie was so much better at words than him. 

“‘Teo?” Cooper asked. 

Mateo grit his teeth together but rather than force himself to meet Cooper’s eyes he let go of Cooper’s hand and pulled him into a hug. 

Cooper stiffened but as the hug continued he seemed to melt into Mateo’s grip and hugged him back just as tight. 

“Words… suck,” Mateo grumbled. 

Cooper only hummed and buried his face into Mateo’s hair where he pressed a kiss. 

“Yeah I know, they love betraying you,” Cooper agreed.  

Mateo nodded and then pulled away slightly, “But did—“ 

Damn words. 

Luckily Cooper picked up on what Mateo was trying to ask, “I do, I do love you.” 

Mateo couldn’t help the small quiver that came to his lips, he felt like if he smiled too wide he’d start crying. So he buried his face back into Cooper’s chest and squeezed as hard as he could. Maybe he’d never have the words to convey what he was feeling but Mateo was pretty sure Cooper knew him well enough to know.

I FEEL SO. !! About her sometimes. I think shes really awesome and cool and I really love how shes disability rep too like IDK idk how to word it but i love how it isnt like A central point of her character seemingly but it does affect her and its touched on in episode 15. I love how they let her clap back logan for basically asking her "why are you disabled" SHES GOATED WITH THE SAUCE I also like how shes into fairytales yipeeee

I think how theyre like beauty and the beast kinda... Like astrid follows the rules but logan is wild and does her own thing and then they both fall for each otherrr. Their first friendly intereaction makes my brain go insane AND also how Logan actually reads books to get better to be able to defeat her THEY MAKE EACH OTHER WANT TO BECOME STRONGER ITS SO PEAK

IDK I really just. like them. IF you think about how they mightve encountered each other before the whole brooklyn bureau gets remade Like... Vigilante that doesnt like the system and then perfect girl who follows all the rules and keeps up with all the regulations and is kinda trapped.in it all. And then they meet again during the rem trails for real this time and IDK ITS PEAK TO ME. They are so yuriful

Okay if youve seen my .posts you mightt be aware that I. really like zoey!

I feel a lot about them. I dont like relate to them in a deep way but something about her makes me so drawn to her character i think about her constantly. I think about zoey when i wake up when im at school and when i go to sleep. I have like 10 pages in my sketch book dedicated to litrearlly just doodles of her and no one else. I think about her a lott. I think shes a realllyyy interesting character

Shes heavily tied to the dream world in a way she didnt even know and its. like.

Every other of the main kids just happened their way into the situation but zoey and the rest of her family were doomed from near the start like the MOMENT beau weilded that sword it was all over for them all. Shes connected to THE fundemental character of the plot (other than Lunia because she haunts the narrative like crazy) and the way shes the opposite of the Night hunter but also very similar is so crazy. I think a screw got loose in my brain when i first saw the headcanon that she looks exactly like Beau except for her eyes Like that drove me crazy and it spawned so many ideas.

Shes very much beaus daughter while also striving to be everything hes not. If that makes sense

I also think her not liking the Night Bureau at first is really interesting and should be talked about more tbhhh ! She doesnt like to conform to strict rules and believes in a TRULY free dream world where everyone has their own space and whatnot.

Shes self sacrifical too. I dont doubt she would throw herself away if she had to to save the dream world from the nightmares. No one mentions this but its so obvious in Songs of the Mist. The memory of her mother, the knowledge of playing instruments and her mothers song all meant SO MUCH to her that she crys while in the space bus with everyone else because she thinks shes lost it forever. It means a lot to her and is very important to her in a way that i dont think i can properly describe.

YET. YET WHEN THEY ALL THINK THEY NEED TO GIVE UP A MEMORY TO FIX THE HOURGLASS. SHE DOESNT HESITATE TO GIVE IT UP

I think theres something really tragic and sad about that about how she is willing to give up a part of what makes her HER to be able to fix the hourglass. That is genuienly one of the strongest character moments in Season 1 and i dont think anyone talks about it enough.

She has a background tainted by her father yet she will do anything she can to make the world a better place.

Shes the best dreamzzz character hands down to me. Theres so much to go into with her. Its tragedy and perserverance and her way of getting through it and how shes managed to find a group she fits in with IDK. Shes just a really good character with a lot to think about. And how a lot of her is about family and how she really is a combination of beau and hannah but shes also her own unique person. Theres a lot to go into with her. I love zoey

Zoey and beau oh my godddddd I could talk about them for a good while i have. so many thoughts and scenarios and what ifs and ideas for them. I really ahte them I really do. Maybe its cause of my own rocky relationship with my father but theres something about Zoeys forgiveness and Beaus willingness to never hurt her again that drives me crazy because of all of their history together already it. Its truly something I dont know why they allowed this to be in the show theyre so complex It makes me crazy

ZOEY AND IZZIE Theyre literally older sibling younger sister to me I think izzie is a good influence on zoey like how she is on mateo helping with anxiety and stuborness and stuff And zoey trusts her a lot but also looks out for her because to her izzie is still "a little kid who hasnt seen the Horrors" and she hopes izzie can maintain that childhood innocence and wonder for as long as she can. Being with izzie helps zoey stop stressing about everything and focus on the things in the present moment bc of how izzie doesnt think much about bigger pictures and focuses on the moment and having fun. I think theyre really awesome

I think weshould focus a little bit more on how zoey is as much as a cringefail loser as the next guy PLEASE If youve seen the Diary of a Dream Bandit shorts that one of her starting out and completely fumbling to save the dreamer plays constantly in my head.. I feel like she was still in a bit of childhood mindset where everything works out During that time. With the way she makes it known shes the Dream Bandit like shes trying to become a cool vigilante hero SHES SOOO CRINGE I LOVE HER.
