Plus, the fact that the episode got banned will probably get way more people to watch it than would have if it was released normally. The Streisand Effect at work.

If I had a nickel for every time Lunella's bond with her dad is shown while a song with "Two" in its title played, I'd have two nickels.

My favorite part of The gatekeeper is the part where Brooklyn got to be a hero. period. A superhero. Luna didn't need to take out her supergirl costume. Brooklyn didn't wear a cape, a mask, a suit, just her heart and her identity since she is being daring against all the hate and discrimination against her.

She stands up, again, and again. and again, fighting for her way in, trying to make sure that she doesn't feel like a burden to everyone supporting her, getting disheveled, bruised, exhausted, and tired along the way, and then she crashes, after a fail, after rules used against her, crying.

but, she isn't a burden, they support her, and they decide to break the rules to do it together.

If she hadn't smacked her fists on the floor in a moment of anquish, lashing out, being upset, being human; they would have missed the game. She saved the game by being a frustrated and sad trans kid. By simply existing.

And they followed her lead.

And they saved her at the end of the day, too.

It's touching.

Very touching.

I am probably extrapolating something wildly different here because it really did look like they were giving off 'trans kids are superheroes facing literal supervillians' and 'so are the people who support them' due to the montage scenes where they're getting the keys since it was similar to Luna being a hero.

Polite reminder that Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur season 2B has begun airing 2 episodes weekly on Disney XD cable and will be available on Disney+ February 7th.

Go watch it! Not only is it an incredible show with insanely good animation and story, but I also think it deserves to be renewed for a third season and if more people watch the show and it gets high views there is a chance they will renew it!!

Edit: THE FIRST EPISODE OF SEASON 2B WAS DROPPED ON YT BY DISNEY. Y’all don’t got excuses now >:)
