An interesting idea for some good fellas in this social and in AtlA's fandom, and @missaccuracy @erinoma9 @akiizayoi4869 @mysticaltora8276 @zuko-always-lies and @balanceoflightanddark A thing about our beloved character, her relationship with her mama Bear and the comics.
You know, a thing that I will never forgive about the comics, and a lot of fans of them, It's that they could have a tragical and interesting justification to Say "Yes, Ursa made favouritism, but we should see her point of view". And I thought about this short novel that was written by a Classical Italian Author, One of my favourite: Luigi Pirandello. The story is "The Other Son", about a poor woman who tried to write a letter for her sons, when technically she has a son Near to her.
It's a sad story, that I had read when I was a teenager, and After an other reading, I thought "Man, this could be an interesting inspiration for Ursa and Azula's relationship!" But sadly, Di Martino thinks about himself as a Great Author, but he clearly doesn't know One of the First winner of a Nobel Prize and a Great Classical Author of the XXth Century.
Here's a link of an english translation:
Clearly wouldn't change some guilties and failures especially about Ursa, but It could be interesting and sad, and maybe It could be a lesson for Azula and Zuko (especially him), discovering how his sister was a victim of circumstances and he was just a bit more Lucky cause he didn't have a Great similarity with his father when he was a kid. And maybe, he could suffer the same fate of Azula when he and Ursa meet together again.
BUT, It would be very complicated, and a Person with the Deep of a fork and the hybris bigger than Agamemnon's One, his friend without spine and a boring chinese-american author that he only wanted writing stories about Mickey Mouse and Superman, sadly this didn't happen.

Anyone can be heroic from time to time, but a gentleman is something you have to be all the time.
- Luigi Pirandello, Italian dramatist, novelist, poet, 1934 Nobel Prize in Literature
The greatest act of rebellion today is being a gentleman. The true gentleman never lets the influences of the modern world affect the morals he holds or the practice of his virtues, such as courtesy and respect.

Italian literature tournament - First round.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda in support of the authors is accepted, you can write it both in the tag if reblog the poll (explaining maybe that is propaganda and you want to see posted) or in the comments. Every few days it will be recollected and posted here under the cut.

Italian literature tournament idea?
I have many things to do but still I want to fill the void of my existence, so a week ago I thought "why don't create a tumblr tournament between the authors from italian literature?".
For the names there are two simple option:
or I will chose the names from the literary canon
or I will open a google form when everyone, by a specified date, will insert the author names that will be put in the tounament.
both the three options combined: I will but the names already chosen under this post and after that open a google form if anyone else want to add some names. The more the merrier the longer = more violence between our favourite author from high school <3
The combination for the various challenges will be sorted randomly, I think I'll use a program/generator to do the job.
Idk if somebody else did the same thing for other literature, like the french or russian, but this idea could be used for various possibilities.
+ I think I'll add also playwrites, for me theatre and literature are different fields but a playwriter at the end of the road is still an author.
I also wanted to do the same thing for italian art, but is a field too wide and maybe in a future I could do it more by art schools/genres (best baroque artist/architect, best renaissance artist/architect etc).

Luigi Pirandello, La Camera in Attesa.
