Unwilling to let an interesting human slip from his fingers, Tyki decides to keep Lavi as a pet. Together they learn what it means to feel human or something close to it. Finding a sense of peace within each other to strip away the fabricated identities they weaved for the sake of their roles they figure out who they really are.

i like writing trauma fic about characters who Don't recover quickly from the physical or psychological toll. particularly when the story becomes more about the ongoing aftermath than the initial traumatic event. i think that's like 95% of my works on ao3 right now. across all fandoms all relationships all premises. like. hello friend. you are here because you, like me, enjoy reading about this one specific character getting beat up. you are still here once he's done getting beat up because you, like me, like to see what happens after the worst has already been done. so! can i interest you in some Pathetically earnest storytelling about the nature of pain and brokenness 🥺👉👈

#'earnest' isnt the first term i'd use to describe my shit since it's usually paired with positive love hope light stuff #but earnest it is. me on a street corner with a bullhorn like an apocalyptic preacher yelling 'IT'S ALL FUCKED. IT'S ALL SO FUCKED'#i hate it when characters get better super fast and then move on and have 'completed' their arc.#no baby get back here. that horror lives in you. it's your twin now and there will be nights 20 years from now when it still tries to #swallow you. no matter how far you run no matter how much you learn no matter how well you do #and if you're really lucky. you'll get really good at writing men like belos owlhouse as a tradeoff.

Charles tries so hard to be gentle during sex. Even when you’re talking him up, begging him to go harder, rougher, he’s just terrified to hurt you. But he’s…big. And sometimes in the heat of the moment he forgets his strength. So when it comes to aftercare he is generous and devoted.

Aftercare starts the moment Charles finishes. He’ll pepper you with kisses over every inch of you he can reach as he pulls out. While whispering your praises and compliments.

“You did so well, songbird. You’re amazing.”

“Are you okay? You’re so amazing I couldn’t hold back…”

“That’s my girl/boy…just rest now. I’ll take care of you.”

He’ll slowly, carefully pull out of you and find something to clean you up with. If it’s hot he’ll get a wet rag to cool and clean you off.

Then it’s cuddles. Charles cannot believe how lucky he is to have you, and never more than in that post love-making glow does he feel it. He’ll be clingy. He’ll wrap you up in his arms and hold you tightly to him, until it seems like he’s going to absorb you into him. He wishes he could, even if it is selfish.

I appreciate that filmmakers repeatedly find ways to attach Peter Lorre's characters very closely to characters that are noticably taller and/or ganglier than he is. Whether they have romantic tension or just seem like they're great friends/colleagues, there's a sort of bonded pair [or trio] vibe they give off that I live for.

oh god I just saw a 'based on your likes' that was a 1500 word essay on how buddie was endgame (girl we know) and writing Tommy with an asterisk in place of the 'o' and...I'm just so tired. If you're getting this weird about shipping when we are getting fed with amazing queer rep on a show that has featured amazing queer rep since day one I can tell you from decades of experience that this is the point at which you should log off and go do something else for your own peace. This is a show about adults who are messy as hell, including the queer characters, if that doesn't float your boat then don't watch. You're just putting up your blood pressure for no reason and making yourself look like a child.

Right now Buck is currently getting his ass reamed by a refrigerator of a man and is no doubt enjoying every second of it. He's also in love with one Edmundo Diaz, dad, firefighter, veteran, and queer disaster. These two truths can coexist. Everyone needs to just chill.
