2022 Year in Review
I'm so late, pretend I did this like five weeks ago.
I was tagged by the incomparable @lucerants for a 2022 Year in Review!! Here we go! I'm also gonna talk about 'em all so this is gonna get long!
Top 5 Movies you watched this year:
1 - The Medium (2021)
This is an excellent and disturbing Thai horror film about possession. The last thirty minutes are such pure insanity, all I could do was stare at the screen with my mouth gaping. Highly recommended if you love horror.
2 - Encanto (2022)
What a delightful and beautiful film! I loved the themes of family, being true to yourself, and the importance of acceptance. The music absolutely slaps - if "We Don't Talk About Bruno" didn't get stuck in your head this year, did you really live??
3 - The Fallout (2021)
This was one of the first Jenna Ortega films I saw, and I really enjoyed it. She and Maddie Ziegler had great chemistry and did a really good job of portraying their new-friends-but-also-maybe-more relationship. And it was a truly heartbreaking and very real depiction of what being a teenager in our mass shooting saturated society must feel like.
4 - Spiderman: No Way Home
I'm not really into Marvel, as a rule, but I had to check this movie out since they brought Tobey Maguire back. I was surprised at how emotional I got when story lines from over a decade ago got some closure, especially since that closure came with a lot of empathy for the villains. It was a really fun, meta, fan-servicey movie that made me smile, and even tear up a bit at the end.
5 - Everything, Everywhere, All at Once
Technically I watched this movie at the very beginning of 2023, but I'm going to add it here now because I think it's a movie that truly defined and reflected the feeling of being alive in the early 2020s so well. It was so brilliantly written and shot, just an absolute phantasmagorical roller-coaster of action, comedy, and incredibly heartfelt emotion. I had only heard good things going in, and this film absolutely lived up to my high expectations.
Top 5 TV shows you watched this year
1 - Station Eleven
This show changed me. It's truly one of the most beautiful, well-written, gentle, and human stories I've ever witnessed. It took a setting and premise I thought I was done with forever - post-apocalypse fiction - and made something profoundly impactful. Get the tissues. Prepare to feel everything.
2 - Interview with the Vampire
This was such a delightful adaptation, especially in the ways they changed it. Jacob Anderson as Louis captured the character in a way that brings incredible nuance, even more so in his position as a black gay man in the early 20th century. Sam Reid was an electric and terrifyingly appealing Lestat. And Bailey Bass brought Claudia to life and managed to perfectly portray her various life stages, even as she remains ageless. It's just a really, really good interpretation of a story that I already loved, so it was a joy to watch.
3 - House of the Dragon
I love messy blondes, I love tragic love stories, I love women and their complex and tender and vitriolic relationships. Also dragons. I'm interacting with the fandom via a ten-foot pole, and am very pleased that two of my most treasured mutuals (Luce, Rosy <3) were along for the ride with me for s1.
4 - The Wilds (s2)
I'll never forgive Amazon for giving this show the axe. I'll also never forgive the fandom for reacting to the boys so negatively. S3 would've been incredible. But! I'm glad that we got s2, and got to see more from the Unsinkable Eight. I'm glad we got to meet the boys and learn their stories. I'll always be impressed and grateful for the way this show handled a storyline about sexual assault between young men. And even though there are still so many unanswered questions and we needed an s3, I'm glad that pretty much all of the mysteries introduced in s1 were wrapped up by the end. Better to have loved those castaways and lost them than never loved them at all!
5 - Our Flag Means Death
This show was such a salve - a joyful little pirate sitcom that played on sitcom tropes in a way that made every episode a delight. It was funny, charming, and beautifully shot. I'm so excited for season two!
Top 5 DnD Campaigns you watched this year
The biggest shift in my life this year, especially in terms of media I consume, was my discovery of DnD actual play shows. If I wasn't actively watching a TV show this year, D20 was on in the background. I watched these campaigns multiple times each. I am obsessed.
1 - Critical Role's EXU: Calamity
One of the most heart-wrenching stories I've ever seen, beautifully told and acted by an incredible team of DnD players. The ending is so bittersweet and perfect. I caught the finale live and it wrecked me, I spent the last hour of it weeping. (It was also 1am and the end of a six-hour marathon.) What a masterpiece. The Bronze Ring endures.
2 - Dimension 20: Fantasy High Sophomore Year
This is my favorite campaign by the folks at Dimension 20. The fact that it's live, so delightfully chaotic, and has the lowest production value of any other season makes it so charming and comforting to me. Plus Kalina is easily a Top 3 D20 villain.
3 - D20: A Crown of Candy
Coming up at a close second, A Crown of Candy was the first D20 season I finished. I binged it in about two days (didn't watch the Adventuring Parties at first, though) and felt so thoroughly ripped from the world when it was over that I kinda mourned a family of candy people for like two days straight. It's such a fun, technicolor, sugary-sweet world - but the plot and characters are so complex, so dark, that I was completely swept away by their story. It's just a really well-built and clever world, and it features some of my favorite D20 characters ever (Amethar, Saccarhina, Lapin, and Calroy.)
4 - D20: The Seven
Since The Seven is set in the same world as Fantasy High, I went in with really steep expectations. I was definitely not disappointed. The vibes and relationships between all of the women at the table is so genuine and infectious. The story is touching, but there's so much chaos and so many shenanigans from the characters that there's also so much to laugh about. It's another comfort rewatch, for sure.
5 - D20: Misfits and Magic
Aabria as a GM is always a good time for me, and I really loved seeing this cast parody the Harry Potter universe (and associated "kids at magic boarding school" trope) with such affection, but also incisive criticism. It's funny, light-hearted, and also really fun to watch Brennan be a PC, and get to bounce off the other players as a single personality. (Evan + K = 4Ever)
Top 5 Songs of this year
(I'm not gonna take this from Spotify, although all of these songs were in my top 20)
1 - "It's Called: Freefall" by Rainbow Kitten Surprise
This song did it all for me in 2022. It was a comfort song, a pump-up song, a breakdown song, and a sing-a-long and dance song. I don't know why it struck such a chord with me - I'd enjoyed plenty of other RKS songs before, but never on this level. It just resonates. It was my top song of 2022 on Spotify, and given that the four next songs are all by Halsey, that's saying something.
2 - "Whispers" by Halsey
After seeing this song live, it swiftly reentered my top 5 from IICHLIWP. It's an intense experience even just as a studio track, but the way Halsey sang it in person elevated the song to something even more painfully relatable and real. It's a song that's followed me into 2023, that's for sure.
3 - "Bounce Man" by Twenty One Pilots
I didn't like most of Scaled and Icy, but this song was a huge exception. It was my go-to whenever I needed a pick-me-up. That addictively catchy chorus, the fun beat, the lyrics being hopeful in the face of a scary situation (classic TOP) - that's a combination that hits just right on a tough day.
4 - "Fucks Me Up" by Anthony Green
On the other side of the coin, this song will make you cry on that same tough day, but you'll feel better afterwards. My husband and I share a love for Saosin and Circa Survive, mostly because of Anthony Green's incredible vocals. This entire album is gorgeous, but this song (and the last verse in particular) - well, it fucks me up!
5 - "Tree House" by Alex G feat Emily Yacina
This one is sweet, fun, and calming, and is going to remain in my rotation for a long time to come. It reminds me of my best friend (she did show it to me, but it'd remind me of her even if she hadn't,) and makes me feel so cozy and safe. It's just nice. :)
Top 5 albums of this year
1 - If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power by Halsey
For the second year in a row, this album owned my entire life. Most of my top ten on my Spotify Wrapped was devoted to this album. I still go buckwild when I heard "Easier than Lying" and it's my most played song on Spotify EVER, which includes like five years of music-listening. Getting to see most of these songs live (and then some, that 2hr set was crazy) made for one of the best nights of my entire life. It was an emotional experience bordering on spiritual, which is not a place I normally visit. It's Halsey's masterpiece, a perfect marriage of her abilities as a lyricist combined with some of the best production they've ever had. I just love it so goddamn much.
2 - Boom. Done. by Anthony Green
This album is a beautiful, heart-wrenching, honest reflection on addiction, recovery, and trauma. It's sonically very soothing, but lyrically absolutely crushing, which makes for a very tender experience. My husband and I spent most of the end of the year with these songs on rotation when were listened to music together, so this album is going to hold a special place in my heart for a long time.
3 - HOLY FVCK by Demi Lovato
I feel Demi has always been destined to make an album like this. Their voice is perfect for rock music, and the honesty in her lyrics (which reflect her very difficult life experiences) just work so much better with guitars and drums behind them than snyth beats. I didn't love every song on this album, but it's definitely my favorite work by Demi thus far.
4 & 5. Hopeless Fountain Kingdom (Live at Webster Hall) and Badlands (Live at Webster Hall) by Halsey
Although these are two very different albums, I love them for the same reason, which is that they both are records of Halsey performing live. I truly think live performances are where they shine the brightest, and many of the live versions of these songs have completely replaced the studio versions for me.
Top 5 fictional characters of this year
1 - Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower (House of the Dragon)
As Luce said, you cannot separate them, it causes wars. I love them both so much. And I'm gonna love and hate watching them continue to tear each other apart.
2 - Louis de Pointe du Lac (Interview with the Vampire)
Jacob Anderson just killed the fuck out of this role, and made me appreciate Louis in a way I never have before.
3 - Adaine Abernant (Fantasy High)
I actually can't put into words how much I love Adaine, or why. If you know, you know.
4 - Kirsten Raymonde (Station Eleven)
I'm always a sucker for a fierce, protective woman with a metric fuckton of baggage, who still manages to maintain a heart of gold in the midst of a horrible situation. Kirsten is all of that, and so, so much more.
5 - Lizzie Saltzman (Legacies)
I just think she's a really fun extension on Caroline Forbes' character, as her heir apparent, and she was often the funniest and most emotionally engaging character on the show. Plus, y'know, Hizzie.
Top 5 games you played this year
The Quarry
The Mortuary Assistant
Animal Crossing: New Horizons
The Long Dark
Martha is Dead
5 Positive Things that happened, no matter how small!
1 - I got to see Halsey in concert at my favorite venue!
2 - I moved to a bigger place!
3 - I went and visited my best friend in October!
4 - I got a new job!
5 - I spent a lot of really wonderful time on this website making dumb jokes, crying over shows, and chatting with all of you! <3
Since I'm so very, very late in posting this, I'm not gonna tag anyone, but if you wanna tell me about something you enjoyed last year, feel free!!

I Got Away a With You *Chapter 5*
Chapter 5
“Welcome to your new room!” Lucy exclaims bringing Arabella into her new bedroom. Before Arabella had moved in she had things shifted over and bought for her new room and office. Lucy and Jake both insisted she needed an office and their house was more than able to accommodate that. Her room was a contemporary chic with pink and grey accents. She had a little reading nook at her window equiped with a nice round pillow like bean bag chair and fuzzy blankets. The hardwood floors in front of her bed were covered with a white shag carpet. She had a black cast iron king size bed with a grey upholstered bench in front of it. She had matching bedside tables on either side of her bed, a vanity and dresser as well as, a beautiful winter scene of the Danish palace above her bed. Her office was quite similar too, carrying on the theme of her bedroom. It was fit for a Princess. Along with the remodel of her bedroom and office she was able to give Lucy and Jake the dream house they wanted.
“I absolutely love this. Adrienne what do you think. Honest opinion?”
“I think it’s you, which is perfect. Have you checked out your closet yet to see if stuff got unpacked?” She asks checking her phone for the checklist she made for Arabella.
“Yes, it’s all good. Please Adrienne just try to be normal. I don’t need an assistant while I’m here! I need a best friend okay?”
“Deal.” She smiles closing her phone.
“We set up an office for you as well, like you requested. We were able to make it possible for you, it’s down the hall from your room. Come on, I’ll show you.” She gestures for the two girls to follow her.
“I don’t need an office, it’s okay honestly. My mother is just being extra.” She giggles.
“No you’re a Princess and soon to be a Queen. You need an office,” Lucy shrugs opening the door. It was exactly as she had ordered it.
“This is amazing Lucy!” She is in utter awe.
“And there’s a lock on the door so you can lock it when you need it.”
“Thank you so so much! For everything, you’ve gone above and beyond what you needed to.”
“Non-sense, you’ve done so much for us already. It’s the least we can do!”
“Well, thank you!”
“Luce! Mo, Freddie and Mitchy are coming over now, we’re gonna barbecue.” Jake yells from the bottom of the stairs.
“Perfect! Let’s hope they don’t scare the girls away.” Lucy yells back.
“Who are they?”
“Jake’s teammates. You’ll like them, They’re Jake’s best friends.”
“Oh nice!” Adrienne nods and Arabella looks at her in agreement.
About thirty minutes later as Arabella is putting away clothes and her jewelry stuff falls.
“kneppe! det mente jeg ikke at gøre!” She swears (fuck! I didn’t mean to do that!) and Freddie hears as the boys walk into the house.
“Do you have a danish person in the house?” He asks looking at Jake.
“Oh yeah! That’s Lucy’s cousin and her friend. They’re staying with us while they’re in school here.” He nods confused.
“I’m just gonna go see if she’s okay...” he trails off and no one stops him. He knocks on the bedroom door where he hears rustling and Arabella is quick to answer the door.
“Princess.” Freddie says as soon as the door opens and Arabella pulls him into the room.
“No. I believe you’re mistaken,” she says as he bows to her.
“Crown Princess Arabella Sonderberg of Denmark? Next in line for the throne, is that you?” He cocks an eyebrow.
“You can’t tell anyone please. No one is to know I am here, I just want a normal life before I need to go back to Denmark.”
“I understand Princess, your secret is safe with me. Frederik Anderson, nice to meet you.” He puts his hand out to shake it as he bows. Arabella smiles and shakes his hand.
“Please Frederik, while Im here treat me as a normal girl okay?”
“Of course, so Arabella right?” She laughs and nods.
“Yes and would you prefer Frederik or Freddie?”
“Freddie please. But if formality suits you then whatever you would like.”
“No no, I am okay with whatever makes you the most comfortable.”
“Then Freddie please, are you alright? I heard swearing and cursing.”
“Yeah, I just dropped something. It’s totally alright!” He nods.
“Well, everyone is downstairs. Would you like to come down?”
“Of course. Please do not tell anyone. Please.”
“If it means keeping the Princess of Denmark safe. Count me in,” he smiles and the pair walk downstairs.
“When did they get here?” Morgan asks Jake standing around the barbecue in the backyard.
“A few hours ago. They have just been setting their rooms up.” He shrugs flipping steaks.
“And why are they here again?”
“School, U of T. We offered to house them while they’re here to keep costs down.”
“Why come here if they couldn’t afford it?”
“They can afford it. Just we asked if they had wanted to move in with us. We love them and very much enjoy having them here.” Morgan nods and takes a sip of his beer. Freddie and Arabella make their way downstairs speaking in full Danish. Morgan can’t help but stare at the Princess making her way out the door with his teammate. ‘She’s really cute’ he thinks to himself. Arabella laughs at something Freddie says and looks at Morgan as he looks at her.
“He thinks she’s hotttttt....” Lucy tells Adrienne nudging her. The pair giggle and watch the two. Arabella blushes and looks away before going to introduce herself to Mitch.
“Hello, I’m Arabella.” She smiles and Mitch shakes her hand.
“Mitch, nice to meet you Arabella. How do you know Jakey over here.” He gestures to the man behind the barbecue.
“Adrienne over there is cousins with Lucy!” Arabella points to where Adrienne is sitting with Lucy and Henry.
“Oh fantastic, so you are here for our hockey season then!”
“Sure am, just have to decide which jersey to wear.” She giggles shrugging her shoulders.

Anderson says it these idiot have black people are terrible and they're retards and their Satanist s are horrible people horrible they expected a freaking walk somewhere or something it's so dumb. The max are trying to kidnap him and the a****** wants to drive around with him at this very moment it's the worst time to be driving him up there and the f***** is still trying to threaten to drive with them in the car now we can't stand these people and Woody harrelson what's a crack at him the sun says so what you're at the place it is two people on crack okay you want to trade your life for a mailbox or something not you'll die so that dumb s*** you can't figure it out still he's a shooter you're a shooter you're at him for the stupid mailbox you must pay attention cuz someone wants to screw around driving to the car and it was Trump but I know is you need to shut up we're going to have the mailbox jammed up your ass with ordinance in it can be off screen probably what happened in the movie venom and your head was just sitting there.
So the sun said the last part and it is going to rain today all day long till he's dead. But this is ridiculous these people are holding transportation off him and we're going to tell on them and get them in trouble and that ladies could get fired in moments cuz they keep denying it when the van is not full and she's got a b******* answer you can call up to the last minute and get a ride if it's not full so the rule is try and call early or your reservations not guaranteed this lady is going to get fired because she's telling everybody they can't get a ride there's nobody on the bus several people called up and asked and then hung up and said we know that nobody's on the bus we see it go by empty and they're going to go check now but holy s*** it took like 2 weeks for you to do anything the foreigners are invading are you going to do anything my son doesn't want to and doesn't have to the foreigners can run phones and cars and businesses without so much hoopla and can hire him in jobs like they were having him hired without screwing up every single component of it even the people trying to do stuff with him which is what you were like so Bobby Meyer and Mike Pike listen to what our son said he said they're screwing around with every aspect of my life usually so is it worth doing it or not and he came back after the accident says now I know you guys aren't doing that and his smile and said you're right about something they're just doing it all the time and Walter luce cooled off on it he said you see people are going to lose this thing for us what are you doing he said we just do it all the time. I said what is it for I said it's your stuff and their stuff I said if you're starting to fall stuff and I could be here. And I kept doing it and doing it since probably Trump and it looked it was it's a huge idiot he's covering up The phantom menace it's another big group so looking around they found another group that was us for quite a while and they said it was and you got laid off. So there's a lot of fighting going on these people are lame as hell so we have to move in there to try and kidnap our son big time and the lady is getting fired from Dial-a-Ride by Charlotte county. her ranting and raving her fellow employees reported it. It's not garth's sister or relatives or even girls of her sister's race is this daughter of trump she's a huge a******. And yeah the daughter and she's trying to get rid of Dan the whole time unfortunately she's there too and dies in the explosion fully. It's ridiculous what they allow her to do and they're being invaded I don't want these assholes in my face ever again about anything and Tommy have your freaking done your space station is trying to kidnapping because you you're dumb attempt a day shit what a fag.
The employees next to this idiot said to their supervisor she is ranting and raving about a patron who hung up when they said there's no seats available because she was explaining he needed 72 hours notice or you would not get anything and that's not even true and he had already hung up because she's screaming it so he went over and said what are you saying to our patrons this is not the first report he said here we go again that's funny you want to pin this s*** on us and there's nobody to take stuff like family is there now just remember what you're doing is an act what are you doing to me is not we're going to take every single thing she took being tanks from the clones or jets from the clones code to get into the comet Empire ship all that s*** is down there or with Tommy f and I can't seal it all off. Say look to each other and said what are we doing with sitting here and telling him stuff and candy and things like deception when Max I didn't hear me everything. So he leaves over to the girl says you're done get your stuff and get out. She says back to him you heard what he said if I go you go the same say anything like that you freaking retard. You leaned over again and said you leave now or the cops will take you out. She stands out and says I don't want this job anyways runs over to the stuff is pulling it out and he says we'll send it to you cuz we need to see if you have anything dangerous here. She says I need one thing and she's reaching in and it's a knife and it's a real one said no get out she goes at leaves the cops are there inside and says what are you planning on doing with this knife today. We've seen what your friends are doing with it. And she goes nothing I was not intending to take control of this station at all. And we don't need the Vans to get around to do things while the forgieners are to take it over. And we are not going to be in disguise as Florida's while we're trying to do this they nation wide. She yells protect me it's just if they say no f****** wait don't after that. Tons of morlock these people are idiots. And the saying that he said trumpsters are saying that her son said it that's what the thing is now. So they arrested her and took her away and a ton of her are trying to get to the job and set up a perimeter instead of sitting up several it's a new stuff cuz forgieners are invading.

Supersonic; Valentine Special - Shadyqueenie
A/N: Valentine’s special for you, honeys! This was supposed to be posted on the 13th but at the beginning of the month I got ill, and then exams came up and I ended up being late [also, thank you G for being so supportive!] Hope you’ll still like it! Kisses! Your Duh, Shady ✨ ☆*ヾ(-∀・*)*+☆
What were the Supersonic Universe’s couples doing on Valentine’s day? Supersonic – Valentine Special is a collection of four drabbles featuring the couples that appeared in the previous chapters. It’s a sort of recap while I’m looking for new inspirations (: [I had to change some FW’s dates because I had some ideas and I needed some characters to be as far away from the City as possible… Hope you won’t mind ;)]
▶ Pearlet – Stars Are Falling and So Are You ( read the story here )
Milan, 6.47p.m. Bar Luce was the place Violet enjoyed the most while she was in Milan. Maybe it was the atmosphere, the colors – or anything in between… All that Wes Anderson allure that made her believe she was the main character in his next movie. It let her mind wander as she watched people in old fashioned clothes chatting, enjoying their drinks or simply writing their thoughts in black Moleskines. She was sat properly and played with the straw in her drink with annoyance when someone recalled her attention. “Sorry, I’m late” Matt started, sitting right in front of her “Did I make you wait for long?” he must have been running, since he was slightly painting. Violet shrugged and raised a hand to call a waiter “Almost no one makes me wait, it was awkward” Matt smirked as he was looking for a proper answer, but he was stopped by the waiter that asked with a very strong Italian accent “What can I get you?” The man didn’t even had time to think about it “Whatever she has” he replied shortly. He didn’t want to waste a single moment of that date by choosing a drink he would barely remember in the future. As the waiter went back to the bar, they both started “So…” and the next few moments where filled with side smiles and embarrassment. “You first” offered Matt. “So…” Violet repeated, her gaze was fixed on her drink while she spoke “Long time no see, mh?”
Matt remembered well the last time the saw each other. It was during New York Fashion Week in September, when Violet fall during Michelle Visage’s runway show. Since that day something clicked on Violet’s mind. It was like she realized how bitchy she must have sounded, how bad she behaved towards Matt. She thought that her fall was a sort of a karma’s payback. Violet knew she had to make up with him and it started with her writing a long message to Matt the next day, thanking him for being by her side the when she needed the most. Matt’s reply came sooner than expected and without any trace of resentments – which made Violet more willing to write him again. That day the conversation was everything they both needed, and it ended at late in the night with a “I really enjoyed talking to you. Let’s do it again, ok?” from Matt. Violet sucked her breath and threw her phone away from her – what the fucking was that feeling?!
Then it was a message every three or four day – “how are you?”, “how’s your day?” –, just low profile messages to keep in touch. Being friend with Violet wasn’t easy for Matt, it involved a series of hiding feelings and thoughts he didn’t think he could handle. They avoided on purpose some topics – like Violet’s work and, of course, Miss Fame. Violet never mentioned her and Matt wasn’t really dying for knowing what she was doing. It was a strange situation. The previous months, Matt was sure that he had to stay away from Violet as possible – but after the first message he had to rethought about it. But it was like he needed those messages. He needed to keep in touch with her and being her friend was better than nothing.
They kept on texting each other until not so long ago, when Matt mentioned the fact that he was going to Milan with Michelle for the Fashion Week, and Violet happened to be there too. “We can go out and have a drink together” wrote Violet out of the blue “Please, Matt. I’m in Milan all alone and none of the other models want to be befriend me” In all honestly, Matt couldn’t blame the other models – Violet’s attitude was well known among their world – but she proved him she was trying to change. He had to give her a shot. He didn’t hear anything else from her for days. Until their second week in Milan, when she proposed the following Tuesday and he realized it was the 14th. Panic caught him. Was it a date?
“Long time no see” agreed Matt trying to follow the conversation. It was a bad habit of him, recalculating each other moves and he knew he had to stop – Violet was far more plotter than him. The waiter came back with the same cocktail Violet was drinking and then placed the bill in a silver plate next to Violet’s one. He noticed that Violet hadn’t paid hers – and since his mother raised him as a gentleman – he took a banknote out of his wallet and said “I’m paying for both, keep the charge”. The waiter left with a small bow that made Violet smirk. “Thank you” she whispered against the straw. Matt chuckled. Violet knew he would have paid for her too, and he didn’t like the play of the innocent girl at her first date. So, he gave voice to his thoughts “Violet. Why did you wanted to see me on Valentine’s night? And don’t tell me ‘it’s a night just any others’ – because we’re both here since January and you didn’t even try to see me once”. He must have sounded harsh, but Violet had to show her hand. Violet played for a few seconds with the napkin under her cocktail before looking at him and Matt could almost hear her thoughts “Did you remember when you told me ‘Stars are falling and so are you’? In that moment, I realized you were right. I’m not the same person I used to be. I’m happy Matt, I really am. But Fame is in Paris since New Year’s Eve and I started thinking that, yes, I am happy – but not as I used to. It shouldn’t be like that” Matt nodded as if he understood everything “Am I… a sort of replacement for Fame?” “Oh God, Matt. No, no, no” Violet rushed “I just wanted to see you and tell you that I’m sorry. I’m sorry for everything. I saw you in September and I could barely recognize you. You were sad – well, we kinda both were. And I know that part of that sadness was because of me. I didn’t want to end up alone this evening… And you are the only person who understands me” Matt rested his elbows on the chair back as he listened to Violet. Never in his life he thought he had the chance of hearing those words spilled from Violet’s mouth. In her unique way, she was trying to apologize. Their relationship, the break-up and his anger… They seemed so distant now “Don’t worry about it, Violet. It’s over. I’ve already forgave you” Violet let out a deep breath and for the first time since Matt arrived there a sincere smile was painted on her face. They stayed silent until Violet spoke again as she finished her drink “I think I still need you in my life, in a way or another” she whispered, trying not to sound so pathetic. “And you will” Matt replied shortly. He rested his hand on hers and they were cold because of the glass she was holding. He squeezed them in sympathy “How about another of those sugary drinks?” he proposed. “You’re paying?” she asked with her usual, coquettish tone giving him a menu. “I’m paying”
Three hours and five cocktails later, Violet was walking wobbly towards the taxi. “Are you sure you don’t want to split the taxi?” she asked once she entered “Where are you staying?” “Not away from there. No worries, I’ll walk” “Are you sure?” she asked again. “I am sure” he repeated firmly. He wasn’t used to Violet being so caring, but he liked it – he missed that lively sparkle in her eyes. “Ok, so… See you soon?” tipsy Violet was far more insecure than sober Violet. It was almost comical. He kept note he had to remember it to her – maybe the next time he’ll write her. Matt smiled in agreement and closed the taxi door for her. The night in Milan wasn’t as freezing as it was in New York. Maybe it was the alcohol. Violet’s taxi was a blurred point in the distance. Maybe it was because of her.
▶Biadore – Everyone But You ( read chapter I, II & III )
New York, 1p.m. and Milan, 7 p.m. Adore said multiple times she really (really, really) loved Valentine’s day, and during the entire month of January she gave Bianca tons of hints about it. So, when Bianca told her that she was going to spend that day (and the entire month of February) between Paris and Milan with Trinity for the Fashion Week she whined and complained like a baby girl. And, of course, tweeted about it for days. Eventually, she gave up because no one can stop Bianca from putting her work first (and Bianca couldn’t care about Twitter less). She gets it, and she couldn’t even stay mad at her for long because Bianca proposed something so cute Adore couldn’t believe it was really coming out from her mouth. A Skype date on Valentine’s day. Lunch for Adore at 1p.m. and dinner for Bianca at 7p.m. Adore almost spent the first week of February just thinking of what she should have being wearing. She wanted to make it memorable, like a real date. She didn’t expect to be so nervous when 1p.m. of February the 14th came “Adore, make her regret going at the other side of the world, or the ocean – or whatever” she repeated as she adjusted her red curls and pressed the incoming call button, the pizza box next to her was still hot and emitted smokes “You can do it”. But in the end, Adore was as nervous as their first date, and for the first time she sat properly on the chair.
“What the fuck are you wearing” stated Bianca as Adore’s webcam started working. Well, that wasn’t the reaction she was expecting from her girlfriend. On the other hand, you couldn’t have blame Bianca – Adore showed up wearing nothing but an ivory lace lingerie ensemble and her usual red lipstick. It wasn’t like Bianca wasn’t delighted by that vision, but a flute of champagne instead of a cheap beer in Adore’s hands would have had another effect. “Duh, your Valentine’s presents! Which is me, if you didn’t get it” she moved closely to the screen and inspected Bianca “What the fuck are you wearing?!” Adore pointed out as Bianca seemed to wear a black jacket with nothing underneath it “Bitch, are you even wearing a bra?!” “It’s from Moschino’s new collection, I have a party to attend later” “This is not an answer” “The answer is no. But “Bianca added and raised a finger to shush her girlfriend as she saw Adore’s mouth opening read to speak “I didn’t choose it. Trinity made me wear it” Adore jumped on her seat annoyed by the fact that Bianca has never looked so sexy and there was an ocean (literally) between them “Why do you have to look so sexy when I can’t even touch you?! Can you wear it again when you’ll be back?” Bianca’s checks slightly turned red at the request “I’ll try my best” she said after an embarrassed cough.
“So, what did you order?” Adore tried to change the subject of their conversation – she needed something to distract her from keep on staring at Bianca’s neckline. “Salmon. I’m not even going to ask you since I can see the pizza box” Adore stuck her tongue out playfully and raised her beer towards the camera in a sort of toast “I think that’s one of the best date we’ve ever had. Like, we don’t have to argue where going to eat and you can have your super pretentious white wine while…” “Well, if you call pizza and beer a date…” Bianca whispered loud enough for Adore to hear her and then raised her glass too. “But in underwear! Expensive underwear!” Bianca’s snort set Adore’s mood off “You never like my presents” Adore whined and crossed her arms. “The last time you bought me something was a bonsai because – and I quote textually – ‘it’s tiny as you!’” Bianca’s voice cracked as it reached the highest tone she could, parroting the words that Adore told her when she bought that fucking bonsai. “First – that was true. Secondly, I thought it was cute! You laughed at it too!” Adore has never been the kind of person who can guess the perfect gift. But once she saw that little tree on a window shopping, she quickly made a connection with Bianca being shorter than her and her love for plants. It didn’t sound like a bad idea, and Bianca’s face when Adore gave her the bonsai was speechless. “Yeah, you’re right” “I’m goddammit right” and by saying that Adore bite a slice of her pizza. Unfortunately, a (very large) drop of tomato sauce felt right on her bra. It was like one of those slow-motion scenes, and Adore’s face lowered to see the damage she has done. Fuck, her 200 dollars’ bra was already ruined “Bea. You don’t mind, do you?” Bianca dropped her fork and laughed “Did you just spoiled my present?!” “Well, at least I bought you something! Where is my present?!” Bianca raised an eyebrow and directed her laptop behind her “Right there, asshole” replied, showing a black bag with a pink ribbon. “Wait. You actually bought me a present? What is it?” Adore’s frame stuck out towards the screen as if that was giving her a better view. “No way. You’re seeing it when I’ll be back” “Then tell me again when you’re coming back” the red haired asked opening the second can of beer. She felt a cold drop of beer crashing against her chest but – whatever – her bra was already ruined. She knew she sounded bothered and she couldn’t help it. She missed Bianca so much it was almost surreal. Adore has never really been in a monogamous relationship before Bianca. To be precise, she has never been in a relationship before Bianca. That means that whenever she needed (or wanted, or both) she has always slept with someone. She blamed it on being young and carefree, and she enjoyed those time as much as being with Bianca in a commitment relationship. So, Bianca being away for that long – let’s face it – sucked. “March the 3rd” “You can’t be real!” Adore said out loud. “I’ve already told you like ten times” Bianca shook her head at her girlfriend’s exaggerated reactions. She loved them (most of the time) – they made Adore look like a needy girl and Bianca loved taking care of her. But in that moment, they weren’t together and a hint of vexation appeared on Bianca’s face – she has never wanted to come back home so badly before. “I always hope you’ve changed your mind. You know, seeing me like this” Adore let her hands wandering along her chest but Bianca didn’t change her expressions “You better spend the 4th with me alone. In bed, hopefully” she added bitterly. “Sleeping because of the jet lag? Probably” Bianca snapped back and left Adore dumbfounded. She enjoyed way too much making fun of Adore. Her girlfriend may hadn’t realized it yet, but she always ended up having her way with Bianca. “Don’t joke with me!” Bianca’s sarcastic laugh echoed through the laptop’s speakers until the sound of an incoming message came. Suddenly her face became serious as she looked Adore “I have to go” she emptied the glass in one swallow and stood up. “But you just touch your food” Adore mused. “Yeah but Trinity just texted me that our car has arrived. Didn’t expect it so sooner” Bianca stopped herself and moved her gaze towards Adore. It didn’t go as they planned – not at all. “That woman need to be fucked by someone. She’s stressful. When I’m going to see you again?” Adore didn’t really want to sound like a brat, but her lunch date didn’t come out as she expected and she couldn’t hide it from Bianca. She wondered for how long they’d managed to see each other for a short period before giving up. “I don’t know. But text me, ok? I’ll reply as soon as I can” Bianca softened her voice “It’s not like going to a Moschino party with Trinity is my dream date for Valentine’s day. Well, going to a Moschino party is, not the company though” she knew that Adore loved hearing those kinds of sappy and stupid things and after all that was the truth. Her smile proved Bianca she was right. “Bea?” “Yes?” Adore hold her breath as she wanted to tell her a lot of things – most of all something that usually are said on Valentine’s day like “I love you”. But even though she was sure about her feelings, she didn’t know if Bianca was feeling the same. That situation didn’t help and she didn’t want to scare the hell out of Bianca “You’ve been staying at the other side of the ocean for a month. Don’t you dare coming back with just the Valentine present ok?” Bianca chuckled “What do you want? A pair of shoes, a new clean bra…?” “A real Italian pizza!” Adore laughed seeing Bianca rolling her eyes. “Ok, let’s say I’ll try to surprise you. I really have to go now” Adore pouted her lips “Happy Valentine’s day” “Happy Valentine’s day to you too, baby girl”
▶ Shalaska – Work of Art ( read the story here )
New York, 3.15p.m. “You are so beautiful and sweet” said Sharon in a very sweet and caring tone as Alaska entered in the room. “Ooow, thank you!” she replied, feeling her cheeks getting redder at the unexpected compliment. Sharon turned towards Alaska with eyes wide open “I wasn’t talking to you” and in that moment Alaska saw her girlfriend holding Hairspray. “Do I have to be jealous of my cat too now?” she asked playing with the kimono tie that wrapped her figure. “You should. Because you’re a pretty pretty kitten, aren’t you?” Sharon raised the cat up so she could face him. On the other hand, Hairspray started feeling restless and tried to scratch the woman “Oh, ok lion, calm down” Sharon put the cat down and asked Alaska “Are you ready?” Alaska nodded and walked towards her “Tell me again why have I proposed this” “Because you love my works and you’re the supportive-girlfriend kind” Sharon replied with a grin on her face, before peaking Alaska’s lips and uniting the bow of her vest. “This is such a Titanic scene” she whispered against her lips before laying on her couch naked. “We can fuck in the car later, if you want” “Shut up and start, please”
Few days before, back in the same living room, Sharon mentioned the fact that she missed painting – with the vernissage, the art gallery and the time she spent at Alaska’s she hadn’t had a single moment for working on something new “Maybe I should just… I don’t know, hire some models and give my clients new contents. I feel like I have so much else to express” Alaska stopped working on the computer as she heard the word ‘models’ and removed her glasses in a very dramatically way “You mean… naked models?” she already knew the answer, having seen all Sharon’s works, but it was worth a shot. Sharon stayed silent and lit a cigarette instead, blowing a puff of smoke in her direction. “How many times do I have to ask not to smoke inside my house?!” Alaska sighed. “Of course I’ll be using naked models, honey… There is another way to paint people?” Sharon threw the cigarette in the can of beer she was holding as sat next to her girlfriend “They’re just bodies” she whispered in her ear “You know that I have eyes only for you” “Then use me as your model” Alaska didn’t let herself thinking properly that her mouth had already said those words. Maybe it was Sharon’s tight grip on her thigh’s fault. “I’ll think about it” Sharon replied before placing kisses in Alaska’s neck “But now, I have a better idea on how I could ‘use’ your body”
Sharon smirked at the thought as she watered the brush she was holding “Chin up, kitten” She stopped herself from preparing her tools to stare at Alaska. She thought she was so beautiful, so spontaneous, and it made her always craving from some sort of physical touch from her. Sharon loved Alaska’s body – everything about Alaska, to be honest – so why not let her being her new muse? After all, one of her deepest wish was having a moment like this one – her loved one and a blank canvas ready to capture that moment forever. Actually, Sharon was pretty impressed by her own poetic strain. The artist saw her girlfriend pushing her blonde platinum locks behind her shoulders with trembling hands – was she nervous? “Are you nervous?” Sharon asked speaking her mind. “It’s kind of I’ve just realized that I’m naked and someone else is going to see the painting. Someone who’s not you” Alaska murmured. Sometimes Sharon didn’t remember that Alaska wasn’t really into her world – one in which a naked body is just a form of art, not something that needs to be sexualized. She lifted from her position and walked towards the couch. Once she reached it, she bent over and stroke the locks that Alaska had just moved “Well, I’m the luckiest woman alive” she whispered against her ear “because I’m the only one in the world that can see you like this. At least give everyone else the chance to see a portrait of all this beauty” Over the past months Sharon learned Alaska how to loosen up a bit, and that moment wasn’t different – she suddenly saw Alaska’s shoulders relaxing and a small smile appeared in her face.
Alaska couldn’t stare at Sharon because the latter was hidden behind the large canvas. She actually couldn’t believe that such a huge object could fit in her small living room, but has always Sharon turned out to shake her little personal world and she really didn’t mind, except for one little thing “How long will it took?” “Well, it depends” replied Sharon, brushing the tool gently against the canvas “sometimes few hours, sometimes days” she smirked as she reappeared from behind her work station. “What the fuck?! My arms already hurt!” Alaska whined having her arms pins and needles. When she proposed as Sharon’s new model she didn’t know that little (yet important) detail. Like, in Titanic that scene lasted no more than five minutes – she should have done some research beforehand, not just re-watching one of her favorite movies and fantasize about it for days. “Then, next time let me use a real model. You know, one who doesn’t move every two minutes. Stay. Fucking. Still.” Sharon ordered more amused than irritated. “No way you’re gonna see another woman naked besides me” Alaska readjusted herself on her elbows. She meant it. She has found herself really jealous of everyone who was around her girlfriend and she didn’t have the slightest intention of changing it. Besides, Sharon never complained when she acted like an overly attached girlfriend “Ehy,” Alaska called Sharon’s again “can we get Chinese food for dinner?” “And then I’ll have to paint a spring rolls inflated tummy? No thanks” “I thought that after dinner we were supposed to fuck in my car” Sharon lowered the brush she was using and sighed heavily “Why don’t we have a break?”
Alaska’s kitchen was enlightened by small cinnamon scented candles, but their smell couldn’t overcome the Chinese food one’s. “Modeling is harder than I’ve ever imagined” said Alaska with her mouth full of a spring roll. She was starving and she felt tired only because she had to stay still in the same position for hours “I’m reevaluating all the work the bitches at Vanguard do during the photo shootings” “Wow, finally and after only a year you’ve found something positive about your work!” Sharon joked as her hand reached Alaska’s chin and cleaned it from a drop of soy sauce. Alaska smiled softly at Sharon’s gesture. During those past four months Sharon, has been nothing but supportive to Alaska, cheering her up after long days of work and being always ready to listen to her freak-outs. Those last weeks – with Trinity stuck between Italy and France – has been more like a honeymoon. They spent two weeks between their homes and Sharon’s gallery, and Alaska was pretty sure she could get used to it. With Sharon by her side she felt loved, and not only because she stared at her naked body all afternoon with her mouth wide open. And then something clicked on her mind between the fourth and fifth spring roll she was eating – something that was wandering in her head for weeks, and those past days (especially this day) was just the cherry on top “You know what, Sharon? I love you” she said out of the blue. Sharon turned to stone for a few seconds and accidentally let the sticks she was holding drop. She wanted to be the one who said that first. She has always been the one who said it first in the couple. But Alaska was unpredictable – from her double life at Vanguard, to her cat that was eating something that looked like soy noodles leftovers – everything about her completed the picture of a modern hero in a romance novel. And by seeing her with a spring roll half eaten in her hand and the torn mouth she usually did when she was nervous, Sharon knew that was the perfect moment “I love you too, kitten” “Just to be sure, you’re not telling it to Hairspray again, are you?” Sharon laughed and moved her seat next to Alaska’s “No, stupid. I really love you” she said before kissing her.
▶ Rajilia – Kintsugi ( read the story here )
New York, 23.49p.m. Moving back to her old apartment when she was into an almost forced vacation hasn’t been the best option. As if she had the chance to choose. That evening at the end of January she told everything to Raven – from that hideous feeling hidden in her chest to her affair with Manila. Raven was listening to her as she has always done – silent and with a cup of expensive tea in her hands. And when she told Raja that she understood her and she forgave her, that was the moment in which Raja realized she had to come back to her own home – if they kept on doing as if nothing happened (or if Raja kept on flying to another country) they would have never write the final chapter of that story. As Raja stayed silent at Raven’s forgiveness, the latter breathed “It’s over, isn’t it?” Raja lowered her glance as if she were a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar “Yeah, I think that… Yeah” That night she slept in a hotel room (the most expensive suite she could afford). She couldn’t stand the idea of coming back to her own house. The morning after she came back and packed all her stuff. She was sure that Raven was at work that time. She couldn’t face her, not now. In two hours, she packed two years of life and relationship. Two weeks later she still had her belongs in large cartons spread all over her house (that now, after years in Raven’s townhouse, it looked more like a shoe box), and Raja laid haphazardly in her sofa with her legs on her coffee table full of old magazines (mostly Vanguards’) and takeaway boxes – how she missed those comfortable armchairs in Raven’s home –, watching without too much interest a romance movie on TV. “You’ll all going to break-up, a day or another” said Raja to no one in particular as the end credits scrolled down. She placed the bottle of red wine now empty on the coffee table – how did she ever come to that? All alone and half-drank. She would have never guessed. Maybe that break-up hit her more than she wanted to admit. And she also put whatever she had with Manila on hold. Raja just gave up answering her calls and messages. The blogger was insistent at first, but after the first week of hearing nothing about Raja she eventually gave up. She gave up on her – but not on giving Raja cold glances during their working hours.
She heard a knock on her door. Who could be? She didn’t really want answer. It was 10p.m. and maybe it was just that creepy neighbor, Sam, asking the most random things in the most unusual hours of the day. She couldn’t handle him too that night – she would just curl up in her sofa pretending not to be at home. But the knock on her door became persistent and started hurting her tipsy head. “Sam, how can I help you this time…?” But that person wasn’t Sam.
It was a very drunk Manila, she must have been crying really hard since her make-up run all over her cheeks and the smell of cheap alcohol replaced her usual vanilla scent. Raja rested her body against the door frame, dumbfounded. It took her two whole minutes to realize the entire situation and before she could let out a single word Manila spoke first “Look, I know I shouldn’t be there but… Fuck, I still care. I just wanted you to know that I still care. About you – about us. And I know it’s stupid because we’ve been knowing each other for a month but… That’s what I feel” It was late and Manila’s tone of voice wasn’t appropriate for that time, Raja’s thoughts were blurred by the fair amount of wine she has been drinking. As far as she could see, that Manila in front of her could just be a project of her most secret dream. Raja didn’t know what to answer, and for Manila that seemed like a reply “Ok. I’m sorry. That’s all I wanted to tell you. Sorry for ruining your night I’ll – I’ll just go” In the exact moment in which Manila turned away, Raja grabbed her wrist tightly “I might be drunk” she admitted in a whisper “I don’t even know if you’re really here or not” “I’m here” Manila reassured her, freeing the grip on her wrist and instead taking her hands and placing them on her face “See? I’m here” “And my home is full of trash and boxes” Raja said as if Manila asked her to enter. “Boxes?” “I’ve never unpacked since… Well” she didn’t want to continue her phrase – seeing where it would have ended. She let the last words unspoken and Manila nodded. “How about that. You let me in, and we’ll start unpacking. And we’ll throw away things you’ve never used in a year” Manila answered back. She had hard time replying since Raja started caressing her face enchanted by the sparkles in the woman’s eyes. “We-we can do that” Raja agreed and moved herself from the door to let Manila enter. Seeing her in her living room and wandering towards all the boxes that where inside made Raja realize that this was the start of a new era – no more denied feelings, secrets or second lives. And, of course, no more damasked armchairs.
“What?” Manila asked as she caught Raja staring at her. She couldn’t stand still and seemed to lose balance every now and then. They stared at each other for a long minute and Raja realized that those sparkles she saw in Manila’s eyes moments before were that gold she was looking back in India – that gold that could fix her. “Nothing” Raja shook her head “I’m just sad it’s after midnight and I can’t welcome you in this pigsty with a sappy ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’” Manila smiled and moved closer to her. Not all the wine in the world could warm Raja enough as that soft smile. Manila lifted her arm and looked at her refined Cartier watch and changed the time “Well” she said showing her the watch “as far as I can see Valentine’s day isn’t over” Raja smiled at the foolishness of the gesture “Just to be sure, how much drunk you are?” Manila crossed her arms around Raja’s neck and laughed loudly “To be honest, I’m more happy than drunk”

5. I vostri testi…. perché queste tematiche?
8. Voi che musica ascoltate (oltre al metal)?
Gianluca: Ascolto tutto, tranne rap e derivati, lirica, house music.
Alessio: Pink Floyd, Alan Parsons, Systers Of Mercy, Edoardo Bennato… troppi per ricordarli.
10. Per quale band vi piacerebbe aprire i concerti?
Alessio: Black Sabbath, Saxon e Iron Maiden.
Gianluca: ovviamente i Beatles.
Gianluca: Sarei comunque molto critico e selettivo.

A Year with the Anderson-Hummels - Fic a Week 2018 Week 3
Week 3
Read on ao3 or fanfiction.net
“Kurt, do you know where my black tie is?” Blaine called from inside their shared closet.
“Which one?”
“The one with the stripes.” Blaine called back.
“I don’t like that one.” Kurt replied. “Can you wear the one with little white polka dots?”
“I guess…” Blaine said. “Where is that one?”
“Hanging under my blue Armani coat.” Kurt heard Blaine rustle around in the closet for a few moments before coming out.
“Does this work for you?” Blaine asked as he did a little spin for his husband.
“You look handsome as ever.” Kurt replied with a smile as he continued to put the finishing touches on his hair. “Honestly, thank you for coming with me to thing. I know you hate Vogue.com parties.”
“It’s not that I hate them…”
“Be honest.” Kurt told him.
“Fine, I hate them.” Blaine amended. “But I love you, so I’ll of course go with you.”
“And I appreciate that. I’ll remember that the next time that you want me to go with you to one of your composer buddies’ parties.” Kurt added.
“Wait, you don’t like hanging out with them?” Blaine asked.
“Well, would you look at the time? We have to get going.” Kurt said, changing the subject as he moved from in front of the bathroom mirror and escaped to the kitchen. Blaine simply rolled his eyes and followed his husband into the kitchen.
“Kids! We’re leaving!” Kurt called. Gradually, he heard four pairs of feet leave their bedrooms and file into the kitchen. “Okay, I left money on the table so you guys can order pizza. Andrew, Lucy, Caleb and Charlie are in charge.”
“What if they can’t agree on something?” Andrew asked. “Who do we listen to?” Kurt thought about that answer for a little bit. He wanted to tell his son to just listen to Caleb. Though Caleb and Charlie were twins, they couldn’t be more different. Caleb was a little more logical and calm. Charlie tended to go on her instincts and stick to her guns. She was a little more like Blaine and Caleb was like Kurt. Instead of inciting a fight, Kurt simply replied, “Use you’re best judgment.”
“Also,” Kurt began. “Luce, no fighting Charlie or Caleb on bedtime. You know when you go to bed so no pulling anything funny.”
“Papa, I’m hurt.” Lucy said with a gasp as she put a hand over her chest. “What makes you think I would do something like that?”
“I know you, little girl. You’re sneaky.” Kurt replied. “You get that from your daddy.”
“Hey!” Blaine retorted. “I am not doing anything sneaky. I’m being the dutiful husband who is going to the party he doesn’t want to go to.”
“That is true.” Kurt amended. “Now-“
“Papa, we’ve watched Andrew and Lucy before.” Charlie said. “Plus we live here. We know the drill.”
“And you can-”
“ We can call Penny if there’s a problem.” Caleb said, jumping into the conversation.
“Honey, I think they’re fine” Blaine replied. “Plus, we better get going so we’re not late.”
“Okay.” Kurt replied as Blaine practically pushed him out the front door. The two men walked down the driveway, careful not to slip on the ice that had formed and got into the car. This wasn’t the first Vogue.com party that they had attended and it wouldn’t be the last. Each time, it was always the same. They’d get to the party, fashionably late of course. Kurt was an executive editor assistant and the interns and other workers always got there before the rest of the higher up editing staff. Because they’d be late, most of the people would already be tipsy and well on their way to being completely wasted. They’d mingle, until is got late enough and it was socially acceptable to leave. Kurt and Blaine had these kinds of parties down to a science. Nothing exciting was bound to happen.
After driving for about twenty minutes, they pulled into the parking lot at the party’s venue. There were some people wandering in, but the lot was already pretty full. “Are you ready?” Kurt asked.
“As ready as I’ll ever be.” Blaine replied with a sigh. Together, they walked up the tall marble steps and headed inside. If there was one thing that the Vogue.com parties had going for them, it was that the décor looked spectacular. They were fashion people after all. Decorating came as second nature to those who put the parties together.
“It looks beautiful in here.” Blaine said as he looked all around the room.
“Yeah, they did a great job.” Kurt agreed. “Do you want to go an get a drink?” he asked. “Everyone’s already way ahead of us.”
“Sure, I’ll grab a drink.” Blaine replied as he followed his husband over to the bar. As they were ordering their drinks, Kurt felt a hand tap his shoulder. He turned around and Isabelle Wright was standing behind him.
“Isabelle!! I thought you were out of town!” Kurt exclaimed as he pulled his friend into a hug.
“I got back early.” Isabelle replied with a smile. “I was actually wondering if I can speak to you in private for a second.”
“Oh yeah…is something wrong?” Kurt asked.
“No, nothing is wrong. I promise.” Isabelle assured him.
“Blaine honey, is it okay if I go?”
“Go, I’ll be fine.” Blaine replied. “I’ll just talk to Marco here.” He added pointing to the bartender. Kurt nodded and followed Isabelle to an isolated room. They both took a seat on a purple velvet couch.
“So what’s going on?” Kurt asked. “I’ve known you long enough to know when something is going on.” Isabelle took a deep breath and took Kurt’s hand in her own.
“I’m retiring.”
“What?” Kurt exclaimed in total shock. That was not something that he had been expecting. Isabelle really wasn’t that much older than him. He tried to play if off like he was happy for her though. “I mean that’s great.”
“It’s time.” Isabelle admitted. “I want to spend my time lying on a beach or watching my grandchildren. I don’t want to worry about every little fabric emergency that happens here.”
“I totally get it.” Kurt replied. “Do you know who you’re replacement is going to be? Not that anyone could really replace you.”
“Kurt… I knew from the first day that I met you that there was something special about you.” Isabelle said. “You have such an eye for fashion and you’re a great leader. I’d be a fool to appoint anyone but you as my replacement. So what do you say? Would you like to be the editor of Vogue.com?” Kurt was so shocked he could barely say anything.
“I-I…Isabelle, I don’t know. I’m not ready.”
“You are ready.” She told him. “You have been working for me…no, with me for years. I know what you are capable of. You can do this.”
“I-I can’t thank you enough.” Kurt replied, his eyes beginning to fill with tears. “You’ve been like a fairy godmother to me. You gave me a job when I had nothing else going for in my life. You never fired or turned me away when I tried to pursue acting. Working here has just been a dream come true and I don’t know what my life would be like if I hadn’t met you. So…yes, I’d love to take this job.” He pulled Isabelle into a tight hug. He couldn’t believe that had just happened. Editor. It was his dream job.
“I’m going to tell everyone tonight.” Isabelle told him. “You deserve all the recognition in the world and I want everyone to know how proud I am of my replacement.”
“Oh my god…okay. Do I need to say something?” Kurt panicked.
“Only if you want to.”
“I feel like I should.” Kurt admitted.
“It’s up to you, Mr. Editor.” Kurt took a deep breath and nodded as he tried to formulate what he was going to say. Hand in hand, he and Isabelle walked into the party. Isabelle headed for the stage while Kurt went to find Blaine.
“Hey!” Blaine said with a smile as pressed a kiss to his husband’s lips. “What did Isabelle have to talk to you about?” he asked.
“Umm I-“ he started, but before he got a chance, he was cut off by Isabelle on the microphone.
“Hello, can I have everyone’s attention.” Isabelle began. “I just wanted to thank you all for coming tonight and I hope that you’re having a wonderful time. I do have a pretty big announcement and I won’t beat around the bush. I’m retiring.” There was a collective gasp, one of which was Blaine. He looked to Kurt with a confused look upon his face. “Working here and being editor at Vogue.com has been the best years of my life. I have loved working with each and every one of you. And I know the question that you’re all dying to have answered: who is my replacement?” Silence fell amongst the crowd as they waited in anticipation. “This person has been my right hand man for so many years. He’s got such an eye for fashion and has a great vision for the future of Vogue.com. Above all, he has been my friend and I have no doubts about appointing him to follow in my footsteps. Ladies and gentlemen, your new editor…Mr. Kurt Anderson-Hummel.”
“Oh my god! Kurt!” Blaine exclaimed as he pulled his husband into a hug. He couldn’t believe this was happening. Kurt hugged Blaine back and then pulled away so he could go up on the stage. He weaved his way through the crowd and eventually reached Isabelle who he gave a hug. Then he took the microphone. “Everyone, I just want to say how flattered I am to be getting this promotion. Vogue.com and all of you mean so much to me. I can’t wait to embark on a new future for Vogue.com. I also want to say thank you to this amazing woman. No one can replace Isabelle Wright.” He turned to Isabelle. “You have been such an inspiration to me and so many others at his company and for that I thank you. I love you. We all love you Isabelle. Happy retirement!” The Vogue.com employees erupted into applause and cheered for both Kurt and Isabelle. When they were finished everyone went back to celebrating. Kurt found his way over to Blaine who was still beaming from ear to ear.
“Kurt, I can’t believe this! You’re the editor of Vogue.com!!” Blaine exclaimed, once again hugging his husband.
“I can’t really believe it either.” Kurt admitted.
“What do you want to do now?” Blaine asked.
“Honestly, I want to go home and see our kids.” Kurt replied. “I’m the boss now. I don’t have to stay at this party for longer than I want to.”
“You don’t have to tell me twice.” Blaine replied. “Right this way, Mr. Editor. Your chariot awaits!” Kurt and Blaine walked out to their cars hand in hand. When they got to the car, Blaine opened up Kurt’s door for him and then closed it before getting into the driver’s side. Neither one of them could believe it. It was just supposed to be one of Vogue.com’s boring parties, but instead, the night became one that would change their life forever. Blaine couldn’t have been more glad that he decided to go and Kurt was equally as happy.

“ Lucy (Luce in VO) is in her Halloween costume, the same she wears when she comes in Fantasia. Ordinary, she has long hair without ornaments, but I like this style (because I don’t have the habit to draw some sorts of hair styles… -_-)
Auryn, Faust and Nao are Oc from an oooooooollllllddddddd doujinshi (published in 1997 <- very old thing… -_-‘) So, for the people who knows ‘Death Song’ (a story with a lot of zombies and bones, I love bones XD, with a serial killer witch [sic], and her cat is a little…. strange…..), hum….. Hope you will be happy to see again this main characters !! XD
Faust is a mask maker and a necromancian demon (he eats bones and chair from Humans…urgh……..) And the skull is the lantern that Luce take to complete her Halloween costume, but after, this crazy lantern is a sort of gimmick in the story XD (it always is back……) “

Prada Shoulder Bags
Shoes and baggage have been provided by Miuccia Prada from the Summer Season 2005 assortment. Unfortunately, the set up was looted after being accomplished, so restoration was needed. In 2015 Prada opened a everlasting house for Fondazione Prada in Milan. Located in a former distillery redesigned by Rem Koolhaus's OMA group, it hosts a permanent collection of site-specific artwork in addition to galleries of rotating reveals. Intended to act as a gathering space for the native people, it additionally contains a efficiency house, movie show, bookstore, and a restaurant – Bar Luce, with an inside designed by director Wes Anderson. The engraved model name, at all times in daring and capitalized letters, is positioned on hardware like buckles, zippers, metal feet, locks, and buttons. Authentic Prada baggage use zippers from Lampo, Ykk, Riri, Opti, and Ipi. These brands must be engraved somewhere on the back of the hardware. The hardware is crucial in determining the authenticity of a Prada bag. Some counterfeited purses use low-cost zippers and hardware which would possibly be susceptible to discoloration. There will all the time be a plaque on the within of the bag, connected to the liner. Furthermore, the letter R within the word Prada may have its right leg curved somewhat. If it has a little curve on the R simply before it meets with the letter A, then it's genuine. Prada luggage on-line in India are normally easy to identify with the absolutely gorgeous designs. From their luxurious leather-based to their durable hardware, every little thing in regards to the designer luggage by Prada in India are absolutely glamorous. The ‘Cuir Double’ and Galleria Bags are extremely in demand, they aren't just distinctive but in addition basic pieces from the celebrated designer label! Prada extends the richness of tones and sizes in the ‘Galleria’ crafted in Saffiano leather- which has been long familiar due to it's long-lasting and endearing prime quality. From the old-time classics to fashionable additions, right here you might have 31 of the most iconic Prada baggage that may never lose their charm. Signs of damage, mild soiling or discoloration of supplies could additionally be current. NewItem seems to have not been used and reveals no signs of wear and tear.Like NewItem is like new with very slight signs of use. Metal surface might present slight surface scratches, but merchandise has "like-new" sparkle and shine.Gently UsedItem has obviously been used, however no signs of serious abrasions, stains, scratches, or dents. My new-to-me Prada bag arrived last week from a fellow tpf'er that I know outdoors of here. It has a brown leather-based tag inside with "Made in Italy" and the small white numbered tag is contained in the zipped pocket. So it might seem that Prada are proud to declare when a bag is made in Italy however like to hide away the "Made in China" label. Megs’ ardour for baggage started in grade faculty and from the purpose she obtained her first bag , she was hooked. What began as a ardour for designer luggage throughout her youth turned into an entrepreneurial enterprise enterprise that was born out of her college dorm room at The Ohio State University, together with her now husband Vlad. Prada India Lastly, if the rope motif lining seems like it's made from low cost synthetic materials, it's faux. There must be a slight indent/ notch in the 'R' in Prada, located the place the best leg conjoins to the the letter. Fakes will typically omit it, or make it too sharp or distinguished. I might see many age groups carrying this and being proud of it. I also see this as an excellent date night scent, in addition to day-to-day. It's pretty common, and whereas some might say this means it isn't very unique or groundbreaking, it is still a fantastic fragrance. Barely detectable as caramel at first, the caramel notice truly comes out extra if you spray lots of it, in addition to the benzoin, which does enrich and elevate the milky powdery-ness. Although again, the benzoin note needed to develop on me - I thought it was too medicinal on first spray, however perhaps that was the effect of very cold weather. This is nice and girly, however I would not say it is juvenile. It is recent and citrussy and I would describe it as an all spherical scent to wear at any event. Its super versatile, year round, it is actually clear, and lasts 12+ hours on my pores and skin and I can nonetheless scent it with out going noseblind. Also it is the only ambrox frag that doesn't give me a headache. Sauvage offers me an enormous headache and I even have to wash it after some time it turns into an excessive quantity of. Carbon is completed so properly and does not smell artificial at all, even with the metal and coal. It's mainly a skin scent from the second you spray it and final for three hours. The caramel is the primary surfacing note, candy-sweet, creamy, buttery, delicious, with a mild, milky contact. This note comes across as candy however not dense or cloying. The musk and powdery notes will virtually immediately be a part of and present themselves as a fresh, clean, floral, airy, powdery, female, and projecting accord. They develop quick and sit by the aspect of the caramel. The mixture of those two notes creates a white floral-like accord that offers this fragrance a feminine character. Prada Handbags Replica, prada Designer Purses, replica Prada Purses On Ebbagg Com,Highest Quality Just just like the mainline baggage, stitched into the inner-seam of all genuine Prada sport luggage is a small square white tag with a quantity printed in black, indicating the bag’s manufacturing facility quantity. depurses If you have the Prada bag with you, examine the within to see if there’s a quality assurance tag. If looking at a bag online, ask the vendor to offer a photograph of the tag. This ensures that you wouldn’t have to worry in regards to the issues of going bankrupt even if you finish up shopping for one thing as luxurious as Prada. The right pricing of the products ensures that you can afford them and even get one of the best out of it. wikipedia The main cause why it would be finest to come back to buy Prada baggage is because of the variety available around. They do have a few of the greatest variants and types of bags, from clutches to the normal sling bags that you can need on your outing. The wide range of obtainable products is what makes this such an excellent possibility so that you simply can look into. All genuine, brand new, Prada purses come with two authenticity playing cards. One shall be paper and the opposite a plastic credit score card-like card, sometimes in a small black envelope. The latter not only holds details of the bag fashion but also its serial quantity. Given these reasons, I have completely no remorse or guilt for getting replica luggage. Because if you focus on it, by method of supplies, craftsmanship, labor, time and design, the originals which these replicas are based on, don’t price that a lot money. Thank goodness I found a good faux louis bag shop. The HEC store is a popular DHgate seller that offers in luggage of all kinds. The 25 Best Rosé Wines of 2019
It’s a great time to drink rosé in America. We came late to the pink wine game, to be sure; for decades the category was dominated by the saccharine blush of White Zinfandel. Now, however, thanks to consumers’ seemingly bottomless thirst for all things pink, beautifully balanced rosés are flooding the market from winemakers around the world.
It took us by surprise. While we’ve come to expect great rosé from, say, Provence, some of our favorites this year hail from Sicily, California, and Bordeaux. We were similarly excited to taste excellent rosés made from Pinot Noir, Zweigelt, and indigenous Italian varieties, in addition to traditional Provencal blends.
Prices are reasonable, too. Our top rosé of 2019 comes in at just $21, and most cost less than that. Only two wines on this list surpass $30.
To compile our list of the 25 best rosé wines available in 2019, we gathered a panel of drinks professionals and tasted a lot (no, seriously, a lot) of pink wines over several weeks. We rated them based on quality, of course, but our final ranking also considered availability and value. All prices are courtesy of wine-searcher.com.
Here are VinePair’s 25 best rosés of 2019.
25. Biohof Pratsch Rosé
This slightly spritzy Austrian rosé is made from Zweigelt grapes, and features juicy watermelon and strawberries on the nose followed by citrus for balance. Like an Aperol Spritz, it’s not overwhelmingly complex — but that’s the point. Average price: $12.
24. Tormaresca Calafuria Negroamaro Rosato 2018
From Italy’s evolving Puglia region comes this friendly, well-priced rosato with carbonic, bubblegum notes on the nose followed by a bright, crisp palate. “It’s like an artisanal candy made with all-natural ingredients that costs $6 at Whole Foods,” one taster said. They meant it as a compliment. Average price: $13.
23. Sokol Blosser Rosé of Pinot Noir
