🍌 - Who is someone that makes them feel uncomfortable? How do they handle interactions with this person? What is the source of the discomfort? {Chris}
He's doing that thing whenever something Luna related comes up.
"...."
The baker's arms are folded as the floor has become the most interesting thing right now. Words have all of a sudden become alien to him. While the baker most certainly could be a little quiet, it wouldn't take long for him to finally spill what was on his mind. But for reason, this time was different.
Ever since he closed the bakery, the young Luna was a bit more sullen than usual. Did Camillo say something? Maybe Angela's madness became a bit too much to bear. Perhaps Abula Julia dropped another last minute request to her ever so obedient nieto.
But he would always tell Beth if something was wrong. Even when they were kids, she was often the first to know when something was wrong with Chris. It could take a hand on his arm or a worried frown that would break his moodiness.
An offer of ordering out from his favorite pizza place was met with a delayed 'sure...'. Every call of his name prompted a late 'hmm? oh nothing'. Curiously, he was messing with the moon shaped necklace that dangled from his neck for hours. Our young Luna slowly began to open up once night fell. It wasn't until the familiar duo of Lord Quas and Dee were asleep that she feels a hand on hers.
"...Cool if I talk to you in the kitchen," Chris asks, one hand resting on hers. "...It's...alot."
As he guides his love to the medium sized kitchen, Chris prepares them a pot of Chamomile tea. It was quite easy to spot that he wasn't using any of his magic. Strange....
"So..." he begins, hands gingerly pouring both him and Beth a cup. "The Lunas sometimes have visitors...friends. Some good...others not so much."
He takes a seat across from the light of his world.
"Abuela had a visitor today," Chris continues, "He looked like an older guy. Maybe came from money cause his suit was custom looking, kind of purple. But there was something..."
A swallow.
"Off about him."
The baker takes a sip of his coffee, eyes staring out the window for a moment. He had his fair share of encounters with their fellow paranormal citizens and even took down his fair share of denizens of hell before he and Beth came back into each others lives. While he was not far from the later reputation he would earn as a great witch, he still felt some confidence. But this...reminded him of how there was still alot for him to learn.
"Like the second he walked in, it felt like I was in water that was slowly getting higher and higher. There wasn't a leak or anything in the bakery...but it was like I was going to drown the longer he was in there."
His hand rests on his chest as his heart is ready to make a mad dash out of his chest. A deep breath soon follows as he attempts to put the brakes on his speeding heart.
"...Abula and Alice talked to him like any of their other friends. It just felt like they were worried he was going do something. I think he knew something about us. But that can't be..."
Another nervous sip.
"Dude kept asking about me...like he was just too interested in me whenever I came out to refill they're coffee. He had too many questions for me. I don't know...it all just felt off...."
A shaky sigh escapes his lips.
"Even when he left and he put a hand on my shoulder and said something along the lines 'I'll be back for you. Don't worry...'"
Those soft brown hues meet Beths, eyes wide with worry
"I've jut been thinking...What the hell did he mean by that...?"

~gropes him. Gently. With her teeth~
A scowl is present on that often smiling face, arms folded on his couch. Even with the sleeping Dee on his lap and Quas resting at his feet, he couldn't help but shake the day off of him. Then he felt a familiar sharp sensation against his neck, small hum of appreciation escaping his lips.
"As much as I hate bad days," Chris sighs with a small smile, "If it leads to this, I might be a little more ok with them~"

childhood memories: 5 years old.
Chris's eyes are drawn from his guitar and to Beth at his bookshelf. A small smile spreads across his face. His collection wasn't as impressive Beth and admittedly he was a little shy about the amount of vintage shojo manga (his favorite was always Fruits Basket) that was nestled between the various superhero themed comics.
Organized in alphabetical order with not a single spine out of shape. One could easily spot rarities by the plastic book covers (he'd be damned if someone lost his signed copy of Dangerous Habits). But amidst the various novels and comics, one could spot photos from his younger years.
A photo of a teenage Chris B boy posing with Jess behind a kitchen counter could be found on the third shelf. On the third shelf near Deadpool issues, one could see Chris holding an accordion and wearing a bowling-style button-up to match the older members of the band.
But at the very top of his book shelf were two action figures.
Storm, in her 90's cartoon iteration, standing right next to the black power ranger, Zack.
Both are in mint condition, of course.
He leans up from the couch once she asks about them.
"Oh those? I'm surprised I haven't told you this story," He smiles. "Those were the from the great Friday of 2000."
A nostalgic smile spreads across his face.
"My dad was a huge comic nerd, Xmen being his favorite team cause of Storm. So when he saw the trailer for the movie, that's all he would talk about. Mom was excited but she wasn't into Storm's casting at the time and Jess wanted to see Wolverine. Now mom wanted to wait until Sunday cause...well it's a day off and she had papers to grade."
A laugh.
"But ol Kenneth Luna was not patient. So he stayed up with mom to get her student's projects graded on top of doing a top-tier performance at work. So come Friday, he picked us up at like 3 on the dot for the early afternoon showing and boy was he excited. I'll be honest, I had no idea what was going on as I was like 5. I just saw bright colors from Cyclops optic blasts and Storm flying and I was excited."
The action figure soon began to levitate around before landing in his hands.
"I think I said something like 'That's mom! that's mom!' cause she was so cool and mom thought that was the funniest thing. Once the movie was over, we went to the mall for dinner. Since the movie was out, the local toy store had all their X-men toys on display so of course I wanted one."
It isn't long before Zack floats into his hand.
"The Halle Berry action figure was cool but it wasn't as cool as this one," he says holding up Storm. "There wasn't a flowing cape, the hair and the accurate look were much better. Plus, my parents wanted me and Jess to have toys that look like us. Since my dad was hyped off seeing his favorite comic brought up, he bought me Zack and Jess a bunch of Mad Magazines. Probably explains why Jess can be a little unhinged."
He laughs before sighing.
"I know we're pushing 30 but I can't let these two go, they were my first toys from such a good day. There's no way I can get rid of them, they're just too cool."
A blush fills those chubby cheeks.
"I know it sounds a little dorky..."

Chris' back is pressed against her headboard. She suspects he might be more comfortable if he just moved her a little and slouched down away from the wood and onto the pillows but she doubts he's going to bother. Inwardly he may be mortified but she can feel how much he wants her as she takes up space in his lap. Knees pinning his hips. Small palms braced against the front face of his broad shoulders, and her face buried in his neck. Soft little licks. Teasing grazes of his jugular with the tips of her teeth. The tidal sway of her body that has her modest chest brushing against his own. The tiniest of occasional growls, sounds that remind him that she is not entirely human. Finally, slowly she pulls away only to caress the edge of his ear with her lips. "...'M I hurtin' you..?" Oh and maybe there's the devil in this moment. Embedded in that smokey whisper of hers. "Mebbe mo' beddah I aks you...do you wan me to?"
A soft sigh of pleasure escapes his lips.
Beth's skin felt soft. Not much of a surprise to the baker, as he remembers her detailed skin routine. The scent of her shampoo brings a soft smile to that flushed face of his. While those beautiful teeth grazed his jugular, his own hands trailing down her back. Though his left hand was lost in the art that was her hair.
Chris knows she could hurt him or in Quas's words 'Kill him twice over'. As evidenced by not just those sharp canines but her skill with a knife. Even when they were kids, it didn't take much for Beth to win their game of knights. Some would be driven away by this.
But not Christopher Noe Luna.
"Doesn't hurt all," he smiles. "Quite the opposite honestly, it feels nice~"
This was heaven for him.
Those soft masses he called hands have found a home on her hips. His own rolling softly against hers In a rare show of confidence, the baker pulls her closer without much effort. No doubt already under her spell.
Soon those cheeks fill with that known red hue, already anticipating what Beth had in store for him. His lips press themselves against her shoulder, a soft bite of his own following before he finally whispers. Voice surprisingly husky.
"But I'd love for you to hurt me~'

✵ {opinion then vs now ship meme <3 Jess/Andy}
Joe's Diner.
A rather retro space hidden within Arizona's neighborhoods. Opening at 11am and closing...whenever. Serving all manner of delicacies from breakfast, lunch dinner, and some mysterious fourth meal that no one ever ordered. Their waiters often having a high turn around time, ranging from local college students to some of their classmates (the local Goth's often offered extra coffee to the Luna's thanks to Jess's side business)
A perfect hangout spot for the clique of the Luna and Riley teens.
Jess Luna's head rested on her recently manicured fingers, soft brown hues staring at Andrew 'Andy' Riley.
For once, it was just the two of them. No Chris nor Beth in sight due to the two of them having a mass of assignments due. Though if you asked Chris, he'd flat out tell you he's giving them some space cause they're graduating soon. Plus, she promised he could keep their skateboard if he gave her time to 'make kissy faces at Andy'.
Her brother may have been quiet, but he could read her like a book. Jess Luna didn't fall for alot of people in the desert city, but that Andy had a charm about him. He shared her sense of humor and love for a younger sibling in a tough family. Being easy on the eyes helped alot too.
Their first impression of your muse:
"First impression?" she echoes. "Hmm, he looks like has a stick up his ass. What's his ass doing in a skate shop? Shouldn't he be with the other jocks? But then I saw you had a little lady clinging to you."
A small smile spreads across his face.
"He must be alright."
Current impression:
"As of this moment, you're a sweet, mostly mature dweeb who I like spending alot of time with. Even if he complains about my little...side business with totally legal substances."
A pause.
"With his head up his ass."
Are they attracted to your muse?:
A coy smile spreads across Jess's face, an inquisitive tilt of her head following. Those size 9 Vans mess with Andy's leg for a moment.
"Maybe," She hums. "I might think your hair is cute and you're pretty easy on the eyes. I don't exactly mind seeing you in your swimsuit, if anything it makes me glad you have that pool in this hot ass city."
Something they find frightening about your muse:
Her smile falters a bit, leaning in her seat. The older Luna takes a sip of her drink as she thinks of her answer. While she hsd her fair share of anger issues, it was nothing compared to Andy's anger at the Admiral. Understandable considering the old fucker's treatment of Beth.
"I wouldn't say it's frightening," Jess begins. "But you're anger is...concerning. I mean I get it cause I have my own issues with the Luna's, it just feels like it'd be hell to be on the other side of that anger. But I understand and trust I'll never be on that side."
Something they find adorable about your muse:
"What don't I find adorable about you," Jess asks with a laugh. "I guesssss if I had to narrow it down to one thing. I'd say...your smile. When you make a good play or when you get to drive that cool car of yours, you get this bright smile."
She smiles as her foot messes with his, hands holding onto Andy's.
"Seriously, it's like you don't have any pressure on you for once."
Would my muse sacrifice themselves for yours?:
"Sacrifice? Like...in Left 4 Dead?"
Jess asks with an inquisitive tilt, feigning some confusion at the question before playfully smacking his hands. Another laugh escapes her lips before takes a sip of her drink.
"I would like to hope that we never end up in a moment like that. I don't have the capactiy for that like our siblings do." she sighs. She looks out the window for a moment, brown hues flashing purple for a brief second. "Chris always seemed brave...in moments like that."
A pause.
"But if it came to it, I guess. Knowing you though, you'd be pretty pissed if I tried to sacrifice myself."
Would my muse go on a date with yours? platonic/romantic:
"...Riley, I would hope the past few years would give you a clear answer," Jess replies. "I'm not including the ones with Beth and Chris, maybe our trip to the water park and we...ya know."
She blushes as her hands gesture to the resteraunt.
"I mean like when me and you went to the movies. Or the time we saw them light the tree in downtown Sedona. I'm saying all this to say 'yeah I'd go on a date with you.'"
One word my muse would use to describe yours:
"Hmm," Jess ponders. An eternal second passes as she thinks about Andy. Sweet. Brave. Dumbass. But the older Riley was her dumbass. As much as Jess messed with Andy, she appreciated him in her life. Not just hers but Chris's. Really the Luna's lives.
Not a lot of boys would go along with a magic family dealing with tragedy.
She finally finds the words for Andy.
"Angel."
Would my muse slap yours if they could?:
"No!" Jess replies instantly.
A sly smile spreads across her face.
"Unless you're into it." she laughs with another hand on his.
Would my muse hug/kiss yours?:
Silence. For once, Jessica Luna is at a loss for words. She forgot how Andy had a way of leaving her flabbergasted. Such a simple question had her cheeks ablaze with a blush. Her eyes take a moment to stare at the eldest Riley sibling.
She smiles before laughing.
"Does this answer your question?"
With one swift movement, she presses her lips against his. Her hands resting on his cheeks for a moment. Getting lost on their kiss before finally breaking it to press another one against his nose.
"...Now are you paying for our last date as high schoolers?"

❀ what is the dumbest argument they've ever had?
"....."
"...."
The Luna's living room is silent, save for the furious scribbling on paper and phone keyboards clicking from the two teens. Occasionally one can hear the snicker of the eldest Riley sibling. Of course, Jess gives him a tap though she's been holding back giggles. It wasn't every day that one got to witness the future couple in their first argument.
It all started with a simple movie night.
The Mummy paired with an order of pizza and pop for the younger siblings. Admittedly, Jess knew Andy was hoping for a solo movie night but she promised to make up for it since she promised the younglings a movie night.
The antics of Rick o Connell earned a few laughs. Imhotep's display of powers managed to get a few gasps from Chris and of course the romance between Rick and Evie earned an awwwww from Jess. Overall, a good movie.
Of course, the two resident nerds had their thoughts.
"I mean...it was cool. But Indiana Jones could definitely kick Rick's ass." Chris chuckles.
Then he hears the familiar melody of Beth's voice....disagreeing with his take.
"...Dude, you know Indy would easily take out Rick." he replies. She could only double down, quickly pointing out the adventruer's plethora of combat prowess compared to the professor. Of course, Chris's retort points out Indy's improvisation. This rather geeky argument earned a few not so hidden snickers from their older siblings.
Soon the duo were at their respective sides of the room doing their own research.
Now here they were again, years later. Relaxed on her couch as the ending credits of the iconic 2000's adventure ended. A small chuckle escapes his he finally speaks.
"...Indy could totally kick Rick's ass," he chuckles

☔ - go on a rainy day walk {Chris/Beth}
There was always a small part of Chris that missed all four seasons of the midwest. As nice as it was to not always deal with the dreadful 5-8 inches of snow or the sudden chill of fall, he couldn't help but miss the crunching of leaves. Plus, when one worked in the heat of Lunas kitchen for hours just to walk into the hellish temperatures of Arizona, you would take anything that could cool you off.
So whenever there was rain, no one was more excited than Chris.
The harder the rain? The wider his grin and more his excitement grew. Beth learned of this the first time she visited his house with Andy. While the quiet duo were banished to the living room while their siblings were up the usual teen shenanigans. For some time they were glued to the tv screen, enamored by the adventures of 3 superpowered kindergartners fighting crime before bed time.
But then rain struck and before Beth could blink her newfound friend dashed to window in excitement. Those already huge puppy dog eyes were wide with excitement. Next thing she knew, the future nurse would feel the warm feeling of those already large hands on hers pulling them to a gentle tug.
'Dude! It's rain! A break from the heat finally!'
A saying that would repeat through their childhood and well into their adulthood.
Just like so many years ago, the baker would dash into her living room with an estatic declaration of rain. With an umbrella in tow, the living spoonful couple enjoyed a relaxing walk around her neighborhood as the calm splash of rain filled their background.
"Honestly," Chris begins. "I know we've had plenty of walks and fun times in the rain but it'll never get old. I can't wait to have more moments like this even when we're both old and cranky."
A chuckle escapes his lips.
"Even if i'm walker or wheelchair bound, I'm pretty sure I'm still gonna wanna go out on rainy day walks with ya. Who know, I might that old man that just wants to sit next to ya all day and my day is good."
It isn't long before that blush finds its way to his cheeks, one hand rubbing the back of his neck.
"Sorry, I started rambling again....I might be nervous to ask what I'm about to ask you."
He takes a small breath.
"Would you ever want to move in together? It's fine if you don't want to, I was just thinking about it this week."

How does your muse answer their phone? Do they get nervous or panic if they hear it ring? Do they answer it immediately or let it ring out? How do they greet the person on the other end?
Beth has seen alot in her time with Chris.
While they did indeed grow up together, every day lead to a new discovery about the baker. One day she learned that Chris triple checks his door to make sure it's locked. Just last week Chris revealed a hidden dislike for anything involving banana (the texture he finds odd and the flavor is 'too much' for his liking). It didn't take long to figure out his phone habits.
The first time the nurse called Chris when they were teens, her ears were greeted with that still developing voice greeting with 'Hello?'. Even though the young Luna's voice has long since developed into the relaxed and deep tone that blessed her ears, she would always remember that adorable pitch shift in his voice.
Beth began to pick up on who was calling just from how long he let the phone ring. 3 rings and a sigh often meant Camillo was calling with a last minute request, IT or work related. Those who got an immediate answer was either Abuela Julia, Granny Richardson, Angela, Zora or Beth. Two rings were reserved for chaos that was Jess or Rico as he knew they would, in his words, 'be on some silly shit'.
A few months ago, Beth got to witness a repeat of Chris geeking out over the latest Kendrick Lamar news. Just like their senior year it started with a call from Jess. Two rings and a answer. Before he could even answer, Beth could already hear Jess going on and on about something regarding a verse. There was a moment of silence from Chris before he finally said.
'Holy shit....I need to hear this..!'
Which lead to a quick hang up and Beth getting the full breakdown of what was going on. Those large hands made bombastic motions as he breaks down the history of Kendrick and the meaning of each and every lyric.
Now years later while they relaxed on her couch, Beth would hear the familiar ring of Chris's phone. Those hands wave his phone over and he's greeted by another cryptic message just this time from Zora.
"He's dropped again....!"
Another silence.
"Holy shit....I need to hear this!"

<slides across with a daisy in her teeth>
"Mi amor~"
It was if they rehearsed this a thousand times. Like an certain iconic kooky couple, the ever so gorgerous Beth Riley slides into our baker's arms. Without missing a beat, he pulls her into the beginnings of a dance. Not just any dance.
The Tango.
The duo matched each other's steps, not missing a single step. Beth's spins were perfect and Chris's catches were well timed. Our young Luna never misses an opportunity to press a kiss to the back of her hand. Then her wrists. It isn't long before it evolves into a trail of kisses up her arm. Those soft brown hues were lost in those jade hinted eyes, arms slolwy pulling into deep. His lips inching ever so closer to hers before finally they meet in a harmonius kiss.
"You know you're always welcome to a kiss from me~"

🌽 Maybe because Chicago's embrace is frigid in a way the west can never lay claim to, maybe because Beth is cripplingly shy in her own way, maybe because the weight in her hands is from a bouquet of flowers for the ladies of the house and an assortment of wine even the best sommelier would be hard pressed to argue about. Standing there as the bell rings through the house, Beth could name a thousand things that she's nervous about. She doesn't regret accepting the invitation, not when Chris asked so sweetly, but she feels out of place. Crashing what should be a family event. Maybe she should have stayed back in Arizona, picking up an extra shift so someone else could go home. A place where they were meant to be, where they belonged, instead of catching a flight out three days after he'd left. A dusting of snow nestles in her dark strands, something she isn't even aware of when she feels an approaching presence and tries to fix her most charming smile into place.
Compared to the quiet purple home that belonged to the Lunas, the maroon Chicago Greystone was ripe with acticity. Laughs of all ages echoed through one window. In another, the sounds of a local football game could be heard with excited cheers and dissapointed groans. Another window, the clanking of pots and pans rang through the halls along with a few timers.
Despite the symphony of chaos, the Richardsons kept a close ear on the door as anyone could be at the door. Aunt Joan could be late, or Rico's dad could be shuffling in from a last minute Kroger run. It could even be Vic's mom bringing her coveted sweet potato pie! Out of every one, a little girl with her hair in Leia like space buns was beginning to get board watching the other kids scream about fortnite. But the second she heard the door bell ring and sprung into action.
Manuevering through every crowded conversation and ducking in front of the crowded television, she finally made her way to the door.
With a stand on her tip toes, she managed to unlock the door and was greeted by what she would describe as an angel, al least according to her uncle Chris's description. Those coffee hued locks, expensive coat and enchanting eyes made her think of one person. A moment of silence followed before she finally found the words.
"You're pretty," she smiled, revealing the gap in her teeth, "Are you uncle Chris's girlfriend?"
As if she had a sixth sense, Jess walked up to the door with a grin.
"Lauryn? Why do you have our guest standing at the door, suffering in that Chicago weather? I know Vic raised you better than that!" Jess laughed as she welcomed her friend inside. "Come on in! Let me help with that!"
As always, it wasn't a Jess greeting without her iconic hug and once over.
"Looking good as always! Still can't believe I'm looking at the same little lady who tagged along with me on my shopping trips," Jess grinned. As if Beth were made of glass, her hands reached out to brush off any remaining snow that decorated those brunette strands and matching coat. She motions to the excited little girl.
"This is Lauryn, a little trouble maker like her dad," Jess chuckles as Lauryn offers Beth an excited wave, those little hands reaching out to take her coat.
"Apple doesn't fall far from the tree, just like her dad and his little friends. Speaking of," Jess laughs, "Your nerdy boyfriend is in the kitchen helping grandma finish up a few dishes, I'm sure Granny Richardson will let you in there. Me and this little lady can take your coat and gifts for ya."
Just like his sister said, our young Luna was laser focused on putting the finishing touches on a 7UP poundcake. His hands gingerly glazed it's contents, just like he was back at Luna's. An older woman, clad in vintage looney tunes shirt and jeans straightned her glasses at her grandson.
"Boy," Granny Richardson chuckled, "I told you, you're not at work! No need for all that fancy shit!"
Out the corner of her eye, she noticed an unfamiliar face.
"Or are you doing that to impress this cutie that I don't recognize?"

"A hundred percent sweet an' kind an' gentle giant. Dat's your trademark, you know."
The baker stares at Beth for an eternal moment. Those warm brown hues take note of of that smile. Even though they've been dating for a while and they'd known each other even longer. But it was always blessing to see that knowing smile of hers.
It took the baker a moment to realize her answer to his question of what was his trademark. As always, the nurse's answer would earn a dusting of his cheeks.
That ever so large hand of his find their home entangled in her hand. As always, he happily returns her smile with a grin of his own.
"Guess working with those sweets all day had an effect on me," he smiles, "You can thank my mom for the giant part."
He presses a kiss to her temple.
"Just like your trademark is being sweet, brave, and a badass lady~"

18. Does your muse have any strange features or characteristics? Something in particular that might be unusual?
"Hmm..."
Every blue moon Chris gets in small moods. A funk of sorts when he begins thinking about his family. The baker's eyes are glued to a rather old photo of his family. Nothing out of the ordinary. An avarage Luna family photo. Abuela Julia's hands rests on his aunt Angela's shoulders. Alice and Camillo both offer a small peace sign to the camera. Next to his mother is his dad, Kenneth Luna. Offering a wide grin as Jess is smiling cause she's on his shoulders. In his mom's arms, is a toddler Chris, happy as can be.
An average family photo.
At first glance.
Upon further inspection, one could notice something a bit odd about Julia and Regine Luna's fingertips. They were covered in dark black substance that they often referred to as a frostbite incident. But if you looked closely, it resembled a more ink like substance. A sign of a deal with a certain entity for who knows what.
What kind of deal did they make? Why? Was it for a good reason?
Questions swirled around his head. Those soft brown hues look to his fingers as normal as can be...but he briefly imagines if his fingers looked the same. Then he begins to ponder if he would repeat the cycle. His once calm breathing begins to pick up speed, his heart slowly getting ready to make a hundred yard dash out of his chest.
But a familiar hand on his shoulder saves his heard from jumping out his chest
His attention turns to Beth with a relieved sigh, covering her hand with his own. Chris can't help but offer a nod of thanks.
"Hey you," Chris greets, "You always find ways to sneak up on me."
He offers a laugh before resting his head on her chest.
"....You would stop me from doing something stupid, right?"
