IT'S JUST SO...!! savior's wardrobe scrubbed clean of her original culture and preferences #replaced with the foreign garments of her captor's nations.....in line with this. i love how her kokoshnik and khaenri'ahn earrings are big #and attention-grabbing. you can't look at her without taking note of those accessories. it begs the question:: how many times has savior #looked at the mirror after being dressed up in snezhnaya and was unable to recognize her own reflection?? :'>#also shoutout to some details aine shared with me: 1) the face marks are inspired by weeping angels 2) the kokoshnik was traditionally worn #by married noblewomen BUT the veil was normally for unmarried women so savior's outfit can be seen as a form of compliance + rebellion #(though later on in history it became accepted for married women to also wear that veil. also my apologies if what i said is inaccurate)#lastly shoutout to savior's expression!! very poised and mysterious....due to her emotional state or pierro's rules on how to act as his #spouse in public?? we'll never know~ the first drawing hits even harder when you compare it to the next one!! such an interesting contrast~#savior in her plain attire. casual and domestic with a smile on her face....i'm guessing this is her pre-fatui version?? she looks so warm #and friendly. and i can definitely understand why pierro fell for her smile <3 #also i fucking love the caption. sorry pierro but you are cursed to be a loser/ simp/ pathetic man in all of my fics and AUs xD #NOW ONTO GODDESS! SAVIOR AAAHHHH!! i love the greek goddess motifs. she looks so regal and awe-inspiring but in a different way from her #snezhnayan attire--archaic. divine. and more suited to her personal style.....yet both versions of her look so painfully isolated :'>#her blank eyes. emotionless face. and veil give me the vibes of a spooky victorian ghost...or would a statue/ portrait be more fitting??#the lack of a necklace is also an interesting design choice given what happens in the fic. and now i realized i forgot to comment on your #version of her snezhnayan necklace oops. similar to the kokoshnik and earrings. the size + grandeur makes it impossible to ignore #that and big jewels = expensive af. ohhh and i love the sparkles on her veil!! pierro rlly spared no expense in dressing up his wifey <3 #it's also funny how all of these outfits are similar to my own version in terms of 'savior wore grand clothing during her glory days as a #goddess -> wore simple attire after her decline for practicality and to blend in with humans/ disassociate from her old identity -> is now #dressed in even grander clothing as the harbinger's spouse. but it's used to reinforce her new identity and pierro's control over her'#tldr:: your design is so creative and i can see the effort you put in analyzing her character and depicting her based on your interpretatio #thank you for being my mutual + reader and i hope we can share even more harbinger/darling brainrot in the future :>

alright, a bit of honesty hour here:

i had spent the last two months desperately trying to plan some sort of fun halloween event, but truth be told, i just... fell short. between classes, work, life - i for the life of me could not figure out an event that did not stress me out and i felt confident in completing. which, sort of bummer, because halloween and the month of october is sort of my thing. (i'm a ghost, for fuck's sake).

THAT BEING SAID. i have several halloween themed one shots i'd like to write (currently working on a steve one), but i still wanna do something fun with y'all because you're all just the sweetest and i adore you.

how would we all feel about a low-stakes request situation? y'all send in anything halloween or autumn related, if it strikes any inspiration, i write us some fun shorter shenanigans with our favorite blurbos? i am traveling and just doing a lot this month, but i just really wanna do something. it could be anything. trick or treating with eddie, creepy song fics that you'd like to see, cute fall activities like pumpkin patches with steve - anything y'all's hearts desire. there's no guarantee i could get to every request (usually when i do events i get... a lot of requests. very grateful! my brain just can't pump out 50+ 1k word requests in the span of a month haha), but... yeah. idk.

thoughts? concerns? should i finally shut up? lemme know.

A little info on how Foxy's goggles work with refracting light to prevent her from becoming overstimulated. Plus, intimation tactics she uses for serious situations or when a job needs to be done.

If criminals don't think she's a scary hero like Batman- she will humble them. The way the light bounces off her goggles works similarly to how the Cats Eye road studs work

Foxy's vision is left unaffected while the criminals that shone their flashlights at her in the darkness have been effectively traumatised by seeing her like the entity she is lol

TXF S8 is so much more unhinged than I remember it being?? Like despite the fact that they supposedly wrapped up the original mytharc in S6 and have barely referenced it since, suddenly they start resurrecting semi-familiar concepts and visuals... except that now it's different aliens and different super soldiers and also we hired Robert Patrick so obviously they have metal exoskeletons now. And the RETCONNING!! What should have been huge plot points - Mulder dying of a terminal brain disease, he and Scully ACTIVELY TRYING TO HAVE A CHILD TOGETHER - we are told happened at least a season ago via flashbacks. But it's OK because none of that actually impacts the current plot anyway - the brain disease gets cured via one sentence and never spoken of again. The failed IVF attempt leaves the audience with the same questions that we would have already had about the pregnancy given Scully's history, but then the show goes absurdly, hilariously out of its way to never discuss ANY of them until we're right smack dab in the middle of a weird-ass alien Christ child allegory. But just kidding because it was a normal human kid after all. (But also the details of all of this will continue to change multiple times over the next 15 years).

#the x files #txf s8 #all this said I do find some of doggett and scully's early interactions really compelling!#though that's less about doggett himself and more about scully being forced to play Mulder's role that she is ill suited for on many levels #doggett is largely boring on his own #but I do love that even though he doesn't believe or trust Scully and tbh doesn't even like her all that much #he respects tf out of her #he's an agent and she's his partner so he has her back #it doesn't matter that she's weird and spooky that's just how it works #ALSO THIS IS THE SEASON THAT INTRODUCES THE LOVE OF MY LIFE MONICA REYES #I did NOT remember the tragic complicated backstory between her and doggett before they even started working the xfiles omfg #TXF #mine
