me instead - rafe x topper'sgf!reader
m'backkkk!!! lmk if you liked this <3
when topper thorton approached you at the country club and asked you out, you though nothing of it.
a couple of random kooks always came up to you, wanting to buy you a drink or take you out on a date, so you were used to it.
but after the dinner went well, you started thinking that maybe it was time to leave behind your current dating habits - which consisted mainly in pogues with a bad boy complex - and settle down with a nice kook boy. at least for a little while.
as soon as you two made your first public appearance the news spread around the island quickly.
obviously, you were one of the hottest girls on the obx and everyone felt the need to be updated on your dating life.
top's friends heard and the teasing started short after.
but he couldn't help to get a little worried about rafe's reaction. he remembered the episode that happened a couple months ago
you were laying on the lounge chair, the sun reflecting on the pool and showering your body in golden light.
the three boys were standing besides the bar at the country club, getting a clear view of your barely clothed body, their minds filled with obscene thoughts at the sight of you.
"bro i think you're drooling a bit" kelce teased and then laughed at rafe, who had been staring at you intensely and not making any effort at hiding it.
"she's really fucking hot, huh?" topper added as he scaned your figure with his eyes, your attention focused on your book, not realizing the intrusive eyes that were laid on you.
"she's mine." rafe said nonchalantly as he took another sip of his beer.
his friends rolled their eyes and laughed at the comment, they were used to rafe trying to call dibs on everything. little did they know he was serious this time.
but you were simply too gorgeous for topper to care about that.
he didn't expect that you would agree so easily when he first asked you out, and ever since then he wouldn't miss a chance to show you off, even if you hadn't been on that many dates, he invited you everywhere and introduced you to everyone, except rafe, of course.
but he couldn't avoid him forever.
a big kook party was happening tonight, and you asked top to go with you, after all of your girlfriends cancelled and you didn't feel like having another night in.
and he couldn't ever say no to you, so there he was picking you up short after, driving you both to the huge house filled with the same old kooks, some random tourists and a couple lost pogues.
as soon as you walked in all eyes landed on you, and the tiny white dress you were wearing, but you were always too oblivious and in your own little bubble to even notice the lingering looks that every guy there gave you as you walked past them, and the irritated ones that came from the girls.
top guided you to the back, where his friends stood, occupied by their drinks and other substances so they took a little while to notice your arrival.
you said hi to a couple boys topper had previously introduced you to, but then you saw one you didn't recognize.
he was wearing a white shirt that was a little tight around his big arms, and some kooky ass beige shorts.
top couldn't hide his nervous expression as he tapped rafe on his shoulder "come say hi to my girl, bro"
rafe turned around and his eyes landed automatically on you, scanning your whole body shamelessly before stopping on your face
"your girl, huh?" he cuestioned as he took a sip of his drink, giving top a look your couldn't quite figure out
topper had already moved on to greet the next person so you introduced yourself
"yes hi, I'm y/n, top's girlfriend" you said flashing a perfect smile at him, trying to ignore his intense stare
he checked to see if topper wasn't looking, and then lowered his lips to your ear, sending a goosebump down your spine as he whispered
"nah, your pretty little head must have gotten it wrong" you swallowed the bump on your throat "you're supposed to be here with me"
he quickly stood straight again, as topper came back and placed a kiss on your -now flushed- cheek.

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭...
𝐃𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐢 who has his eye on you the moment he sees you lounging on the plushy high chairs at Lupin bar, wine glass resting in the palm of your hand.
𝐃𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐢 who notices the way you look at him with those bedroom eyes, a sweet temptation daring him to make a move on you
𝐃𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐢 who doesn't waste a moment to chat you up Beautiful ladies are my weakness, 'donna. How am I supposed to resist your charms?, who buys you drink after drink until you're both woozy.
𝐃𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐢 who takes you back to his place, who lets you push him down on the couch and looks down at you down at you with sultry eyes as you kneel in front of him, pushing his thighs apart.
𝐃𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐢 who can barely contain a choked moan when you pull down his fly, taking his cock out of his slacks and running your thumb over his leaking tip ~You're such a needy boy aren't you, Osamu? you coo and he nods, bucking his hips up in your fist
𝐃𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐢 who's too lost in pleasure to keep himself in check, who lets out the most erotic moans, who laces his shaky fingers in your hair guiding your head towards his cock Please 'donna want your pretty little mouth around me~ Aah fuck...
𝐃𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐢 who almost cums when you wrap your lips around his tip, twirling your tongue around it to gather his pre, looking up at him with innocent, lust filled eyes
𝐃𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐢 who forces your head down his cock, smirking upon hearing you gag and seeing your mascara running down your cheeks. it feels like you put on that pretty makeup just for him to completely ruin it, to ruin you
𝐃𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐢 who bucks his hips into your mouth, begging you to let him cum, who waits for you to squeeze his thigh reassuringly before spilling his creamy load down your throat, breathing heavily. the grip on your hair loosens and he softly caresses your hair Thank you, thank you, thank you 'donna, my pretty 'donna~

14. analyzed ⸝ ˚⋆
↳ mainly written, some texts. word count: 1.4k
“i’m so nervous,” you said for the millionth time that afternoon.
“don’t worry, it’s gonna be okay. and i’ll be right next to you. if you feel uncomfortable at any moment just come up to me and squeeze my hand and we’ll immediately leave.” soobin assured you.
you were walking towards soobin’s friend’s dorm and you were so nervous you felt like you were gonna explode from it. soobin gave you a small rundown of his friends before coming.
sunghoon was the meanest one of his friends. according to soobin, he doesn’t have a filter and doesn’t really care if he hurts your feelings because of it. sakura was the second. typical rich queen bee bitch, but a bit of a wildcard if she thinks you could do something for her. beomgyu was the third, but him and sakura could honestly be tied. he also has no filter, but unlike sunghoon, he thinks before he speaks. soobin said that taehyun was the nicest out of all of them, but not to underestimate his rudeness. he typically won’t say things outright to your face, but you’ll know if he didn’t like you.
you laughed nervously when he told you this and asked, “so why are you friends with these people again?”
“that’s just them on the surface to keep others away,” soobin had said. “once you get to know them, they’re the best friends you could honestly ask for.”
you tried to give his best friends the benefit of the doubt. you weren’t sure if it was working.
suddenly soobin was knocking on a dorm room door and you were hiding your shaking hands behind your back. soobin cupped your cheek and gave you a quick kiss on it.
the door flew open and a guy with longish dark hair smiled widely, looking you up and down. you shifted in your spot.
“beomgyu,” soobin said, then waved over you to, “this is y/n.” he said nothing but just stepped aside so the two of you could come in.
the room was actually quite big, definitely bigger than the dorm room you had.
the other two guys, taehyun and sunghoon, we’re lounged out on one of the beds while sakura was perched on the edge of the other with her legs crossed. when she saw you, she immediately stood up and made her way over to you.
“so this is the famous girlfriend,” sakura said, a hint of a smile on her lips. she crossed her arms and looked over you.
“hello! i’m y/n,” you replied.
taehyun came up next, wrapping an arm around sakura’s shoulders. in the corner you saw sunghoon stand as well.
“don’t crowd around her!” soobin exclaimed, making everyone take a couple steps back.
“well, lets let her sit down!” taehyun said and then guided you over to the couch. soobin immediately sat down next to you.
as they all stared at you, you couldn’t help but feel as if you were being analyzed. chairs were pulled up and others sat on the edge of the table in front of the couch to get a closer look. you felt like you were under a microscope.
“guys…” soobin said, and it was like a switch flipped. immediately the tension in the room lifted a little.
“so… tell us about yourself,” sakura started, “what do you like to do for fun?”
suddenly everything you thought was fun to do escaped you. you searched the depths of your brain as fast as you could for an answer. you didn’t want to hesitate on such an easy question.
“i like going down to the beach and swimming in the ocean with my friends.” you finally said. “sometimes around nighttime we’ll buy sparklers and light them. it’s really fun!”
sakura made a ‘hm’ sound, but didn’t say anything. you decided to try and ask her a question.
“what do you like to do for fun?”
she tilted her head at you, pursing her lips before speaking. “i like putting people in their place.”
you gave soobin a quick glance. you weren’t really sure what to say to that, so you said nothing. your eyebrows subtly raised.
the outing was primarily them asking you questions, you hesitating an answer, you asking them a question, and them giving you a slightly uncomfortable answer. the only person who didn’t partake in this was taehyun. he seemed to be the only one to remember your previous answers and ask you follow up questions on them, which you were very grateful for.
if things got a little too uncomfortable or the tension got too thick, soobin would step in. you really didn’t want to have to leave the outing early, though you really didn’t know how long it was supposed to last anyways. you were determined to make it through and make a somewhat good impression.
halfway through the outing, beomgyu just up and left, saying nothing. that made you extra nervous. but soobin quickly informed you that he just had a class to get to.
somehow the topic got on to your birthday. the tension was low and you were finally feeling like you were making a dent into getting soobin’s friends to be your friends.
“your birthday is soon?!” sakura said, taking your hands in hers and smiling. she was sitting on the other side of you now. “well, i have to throw a party for you, of course! when is it?”
you told her that it was actually this upcoming week. and when you said you really didn’t have plans for it, just hanging out with your friends and boyfriend, did she introduce the party idea.
“it’ll be super fun! you can even have your private party on the fourth floor where we usually are!” she motioned around the room. so that was what was on the fourth floor! “there will be security, of course. so if you have any crazy exes, you don’t have to worry.”
sunghoon snickered. you felt your heart drop a little as you remembered your past. you mustered up a smile.
“oh… you don’t have to worry about that.” you said sheepishly. “it’ll probably be just me, soobin, and my friends.”
“i’ll invite people! i’ll text you the deets,” sakura concluded. she stood up and gave air kisses to her friends, and waved to you. “i have places to be, see you at the party!”
sunghoon got up and followed her out the door.
it was now only you, soobin, and taehyun in the room. you breathed in and found that it was a little easier to do so. you were so nervous, you hadn’t realized how close you scooted next to soobin. you were practically so close to him you were in his lap.
“maybe we should all go to the beach sometime,” taehyun spoke. “like a group thing with your friends. if you two are dating then it’ll be good to start merging our friend groups.”
he sat on the edge of the table, leaning back on his hands. he looked at you, awaiting your answer. you looked over to soobin, and then cautiously back to taehyun.
“sure! if that’s okay. maybe we can make a group chat and plan it?” you looked between the two boys. they stared intently at each other before taehyun looked over at you and smiled, nodding slightly. he stood up, which caused you to immediately stand, which caused soobin to stand.
“i have to get ready to go to the library to study, it was nice meeting you, y/n.” he offered you a smile. it looked genuine enough.
“it was nice meeting you too!” you returned his smile.
soobin started to guide you to the door before you heard taehyun say, “y/n!”
you turned back to him, slightly anxious.
“be careful.” he said. you gave him a puzzled look. you felt soobin take your hand.
taehyun pointed to the floor. there was a pile of clothes that you were definitely about to trip over. you let out a quiet nervous laugh as you looked down at it.
“oh! thanks!” you replied, looking back to him.
soobin squeezed your hand and you turned back to him and followed him out the door. taehyun gave his goodbyes as he closed his door.
when you were halfway down the hall and were sure taehyun couldn’t hear you through his closed door, you stopped and let out a sigh of relief. you doubled over, breathing heavily. soobin ran a hand down your head that stopped at the small of your back.
“my goodness,” you finally said. “that was intense.”
“i tried to warn you,” soobin replied, a smile playing on his lips.
you gave a sharp but playful glare and he laughed. you needed to talk to your friends immediately. mainly to tell them about everything, but also to tell them about the party sakura was planning for you. which opened a black hole in your stomach.
“let’s stop by kai’s dorm room,” you told soobin as you began walking in it’s direction.
masterlist.
summary: choi soobin has always been the popular kid surrounded by his popular friends. y/n… not so much. one night, soobin and his friends make bet that soobin can’t get y/n to date him in a month. unfortunately for y/n, they’re a hopeless romantic.
A/N: sakura throwing a birthday party for you… good luck charlie
taglist: @imagineyour-kpopboy @gothgyuu @carengene @spooksh0wbabe (if your name is bold it wouldn’t let me tag you!)

Curse of Yes/No
My name was Jace, I was 26 living in the suburbs of Sydney, it was getting close to the end of my year at uni and my girlfriend Sherry wanted me to go out and have some fun. She slid over a flyer for a local festival. A Halloween festival.
We don’t really celebrate Halloween in Australia. But as time has gone on it seems to be more and more present. Decorations being available to buy in stores, kids talking about trick or treating and festivals and street markets advertising Halloween themes.
My friends wanted me to go to one that was on tonight in town. It promised Fall themed food, spooky rides and classic Halloween fun. I couldn’t decide if I wanted to go or not. Usually I let others decide for me. And it was hot as hell. Fall themed food wasn’t what I was looking for when it was 35 degrees c in the shade. But as I said I wasn’t big on making decisions.
So my best mate Ricky said he would pick me up at 8pm and we would go and have a look. Sherry was working late and said it would be good for me to get out and try to relax. Being a third year accounting student it didn’t come easy. She said go relax just don’t let Ricky get you drunk.
He picked me up at 8 as he said and I climbed in his car, “Jesus man, for a doctor you don’t exactly promote healthy lifestyle do you?” Smoke was billowing out of he car “it’s my one vice, I know it’s not healthy but hey I’m addicted and I enjoy it” “is that your professional opinion?’ ‘Shut the fuck up and let’s go” we drove towards the fete.
As we walk into the festival it has this classic spooky horror theme of a gypsy caravan.. There are rides and haunted mansions to walk through but mostly it’s to theme. Ricky spots a fortune teller carriage at the end of a line. ‘Perfect” he says. ‘This is what you need. Go get your answers as you can never decide for yourself’. I um’d and ah’d if I should do it or not. Ricky just said ‘exactly” he put $50 in my hand and pushed me in the tent yelling”I’m going to hit on the hot carnie, have fun”
I tumbled inside and looked around seeing a man lounging in a chair having a drink. ‘I’m so sorry’ I said gathering myself.
‘My Friend was being pushy, literally and wanted me to have my fortune read, but I don’t know if I should or not. It’s not a very me thing to do, I mean it sounds like fun and all but, you’re here I don’t see an old crone and a crystal ball anywhere. Haha ‘
Old crone and crystal ball. Well that’s not a very nice stereotype!’ The man said. ‘ but I wouldn’t expect a ginger accountant named Jace to come for a reading in Australian either, so I guess we are even.’
‘How do you know my name? ‘ I said in shock and backing towards the door.
‘We are not all old crones or female, that was just to show you I’m the real deal. Com now sit. Ricky has paid for your thirty minutes, let’s not waste this.’ He says as he walks behind me and guides me to a chair across from him. ‘Hold out your hand, palm up’ I do so in shock and almost trance, I’ve never been a big believer but I always believe in what I experienced.
He looks at my palm only briefly and starts to speak. ‘ you are not on the right path’. I snap out of it. ‘Really ?” ‘I thought accounting was the right fit.’
‘Nothing is right’ accounting, your clothes, Sherry. All wrong, because all were not your choice. You simply let others decide for you, so now you are on the wrong path. Ricky. Ricky is the one right thing in your life. He will be the one to correct it. Trust in Ricky. Ironically it will take someone else to tell you what to do to make you get on the right path and choose your destiny’
As I snatch my hand away I get upset ‘what do you mean, all is wrong with me. Who says that to a person. And I love Sherry, I’m going to marry her,…. I think’ ‘I don’t know who you are or how you know these things but it’s wrong.’
As I go to storm to the exit I feel like I’m in a tumble dryer the world spins on its axis. I look back and the Gypsy is muttering and then spits at me. ‘ I give you a Curse! Not to hurt but help’ as I steady myself he walks towards me. ‘Use this to your advantage, not all curse’s can be detrimental. Until the clock strikes 12. Any question that is asked of a Yes. Or. A No. the opposite will be a reality. It has the power to rearrange you future your past. So be wise young Jace. And remember my words Ricky is the one to put you on a try path. Go now
I stumbled out of the carriage dazed wondering what had just happened. I looked at my watch. It was 9:15 pm. Sherry would be here soon and we can go home. I wasn’t looking and a bumped into a guy. “ watch where you’re going mate!” He yelled. “ hey do you smoke? Can I bum one?”
As I went to say no it was as if time slowed down and rewound very quickly to the day in the 8th grade when Tommy Doyle asked me to meet him behind the sheds at school to try smoking, he stole a pack from his dad. I had said no, but in this flash I has said yes. I joined Tommy, I had memory flood through my brain of school and uni and clubs always smoking, my friends were a little bit different to,, Ricky was there of course but they all didn’t seem so straight laced, my clothes seemed to feel looser, darker a little more edgier, I felt slightly more confident and strangely fitter, felt my arm tingle as a tattoo appeared as the spin came back to reality.
‘Yeah sure man” I think passed him the packet and lit the lighter from my pocket, “ sorry I wasn’t watching where I was going”
‘No problem” as the guy walked away I looked back and the gypsy was standing in the door way, laughing.
Something didn’t seem right, I turned to to go taking an another deep inhale on my smoke. I needed to find Ricky and get home to Sherry.
This is the first of a few chapters, let me know if I should continue.

RIDDLE:
- He would turn up early, or on time. and when you’re 1-5mins late he’ll scold you for making him wait. but nonetheless he’s relieved to know you came.
- he’s such a gentleman, out for a candlelight dinner date? he’ll be the one guiding you to your sit!
- He would overthink things. he will overthink that you’re not enjoying yourself. but truthfully you’re enjoying the date very much so.
- He’s stubborn when choosing foods. he would nag you if you chose Chips and fish. or any fried dishes, that contains alot of oil and calories.
- He would sneak glances at you while you’re eating, and get himself flustered when you caught him!
- when your dinner date has come to an end, he’ll pay for the expenses, and offers to walk you back to your dorm.
TREY:
- Baking dates? picnic dates? you name it!
- he may not have that much Thaumarks to treat you to a 5 star restaurant, but he surely has the skills of a 6 star Baker!
- He would invite you out, on a picnic date near the rose maze.
- “ It would be even more romantic if i put a ton of effort on our food right..?”he hesitantly said as he sets down the picnic basket.
- You being such a sweetheart, said it doesn’t matter! as long as we’re in each other’s company. it surely made him smile!
- He would spoon feed you
- He’ll get embarrassed if you do the same for him
- You guys watched ace and deuce ran after the hedgehogs that got out, it was entertaining.
- cleaning up, he insisted on doing the cleaning and told you to help ace and deuce with the hedgehog
- before you leave, he planted a soft peck on your forehead before patting your head
LEONA:
- he’s lazy.
- he rather spend the whole day sleeping, with you in his embrace.
- but it doesn’t hurt to give an effort.. right?
- He planned a zoo date for you and him, which surprised you alot, really.
- he’s giving so much effort on this cute little date.
- he decided to dress up more fashionably, with the help of Vil.
- he came to pick you up, and was mesmerized to your cute get up. but shook it off.
- “ Oi. if you get lost it’s not my problem, alright?
- you guys made it to the zoo, and started walking around the big area, squealing at the sight of cute sea otters.
- Leona was irritated at your squealing. so he decided to go to the bathroom.
- when he came back you were no where.
- he got sorta scared to think that you might’ve gotten kidnapped or something.
- he was frantically searching everywhere.
- he gave up and resorted to asking for help
- he goes to ask for the staffs for help (Kinda rudely)
- the staffs pointed at your direction.
- there you are. eating a big piece of churro. that you bought.
- when you saw him you head was immediately smacked (softly) by leona.
- ” Don’t ever get yourself lost.”
RUGGIE:
- instead of a date.
- you guys are stuck in taking care if the big baby.
- Leona.
- It irked ruggie so much that he decided to ditch leona’s chores and brings you to monstro lounge.
- He saved up enough money to buy you and him a dish.
- you were about to say, not to waste his money, and continue saving up, but you were completely shutted down.
- he smirked when the food arrived and let you eat first.
- he’s lovestruck.
- after dining, the both of you decide to walk for awhile, chatting about things.
- he sneakily wrap his hand around yours and say.
- ” Hehe! caught you! “
AZUL:
- he’d give us a pearl necklace. or a sea-shell one, with intricate details.
- this man is such a smooth talker. you would wonder if he’s genuinely or not.
- of course he’s genuine! his feelings for you is like a water, in an endless pit of vase! that’s always keeping the flower alive. you, are the flower. the one that keeps him up all night *wink wonk* or make him feel restless, whenever he thinks about you.
- He also a gentleman, he’d offer you his arm to hold to while walking around the school premises and etc!
- At your date, he would sometimes lose his composure and slink down in his chair while blushing profusely.
- he can’t help it! you’re just so precious!
- he is very suave.
- such a smooth talker.
- have i mentioned about him being a smooth talker?
- despite that, he’s also sweet!
- he compliments us, on everything.
- he have never been complimented before in his early childhood, so he’s gradually healing himself by complimenting you!
- He would offer spoon feeding you but you refused:(( which made the tako pout cutely.
- Though, he would unconsciously talk about his business to you while you guys dine, it didn’t bother you
- which made him admire you for listening to him ramble
- he paid for the food
- Walked you home #2
- kissed your knuckles before parting ways, he knows that to take things slow, and he respects your space. (ahem since he’s your loverboy.)
JADE:
- he’s charming in his own ways.
- but his sadistic nature will come.
- you accidentally choked, while drinking water? this man will be like- “ fu-fu-fu “
- but overall he’s such a sweet guy.
- he doesn’t really understand how relationships works.
- Okay so—
- he asked you out to go to an aquarium date.
- you happily agreed!
- floyd has to come, though. because floyd threw a tantrum.
- jade doesn’t mind, that his brother is coming along! you either, in fact it’s such a fun day you three have experienced.
- jade would hold your hand, while telling you each aquarium animals names, that you point at.
- he’s also the type to peck your cheeks, in such a public space.
- would blush when he sees you look gorgeous under the blue light, that the aquarium has.
- isn’t really a fan of seeing guys look at you. so he just smiled at them. menacingly.
- would buy you one plush from the store.
- he used half of his salary for the date.
- he doesn’t care tho—
- but overall it was such a fun and lovable experience.
-“ Ne, jade~ what’s that fish’s name is? “
- “ It’s Jordan, my dear “.

Animal Crossing
Character(s): Kendall Knight, Logan Mitchell, Carlos Garcia, James Diamond, Gustavo Rocque mentioned
Pairing(s): Kendall Knight/Female Original character(s), Kendall Knight/Veronica Clark, James Diamond & Kendall Knight & Carlos Garcia & Logan Mitchell, James Diamond & Veronica Clark
A/N: written on my phone, not betad, i am sorry
It was Sunday.
On Sunday, the guys got to relax and take a break from singing and dancing for Gustavo. On the other hand, Ronnie planted herself on the couch with her switch and bought turnips from Daisy Mae on her Island. She desperately needed bells to pay off her house loans from Tom Nook. All the fishing was getting annoying, and she was tired of chasing bugs around because nothing new was showing up. The bug and fish sections were almost finished in her museum, and she was so close to completing them.
She struggled with the art pieces she bought from Redd because she always bought fake ones. Ronnie never claimed to be a connoisseur of the arts, but the counterfeit paintings and sculptures looked so similar to the real deal. There were all kinds of guides online, but they were a mess and needed proper organization.
The apartment was humid. All the windows were open. Her dad opened the door to let in a draft, but nothing came. Ronnie swapped her hoodie for a loose misfits t-shirt and basketball shorts. Her shoulders were hunched over the console, and she stuck her tongue out in concentration. Buying turnips wasn't that big of a deal, but it was important for the economy on her island. As long as she didn't have the funds, she wouldn't be able to make her island look pretty like she had planned. There was a rough draft sketch in her notebook.
Not being able to move town hall was infuriating, but she brushed it off. When she started playing, she didn't think about her future choices.
Her hair had been freshly dyed last night. The electric blue was vibrant. She considered dying her hair another color but figured using the blue hair dye she had was wise before purchasing another color. She looked up when she heard a knock on the door frame.
"Hey, we're going to the pool. Do you want to come with me?" James slung a towel over his shoulder, and his shades rested neatly on his hair.
Ronnie wanted to say no, but staying in her apartment all day was bound to get boring. She didn't trust the guys around water, especially not with her switch, but she had just started playing a few minutes ago and didn't want to pull herself away.
"Sure!"
What she didn't realize was hoe bad of an idea it was. Ronnie may have had zero intention of hopping in the pool, but the guys had every intention to soak up the sun and jump in the chlorinated water. She shielded her switch as Carlos canonballed into the water with a squeal of excitement. He was showing off for the new movie star sitting alone, off to the side. She was an action movie star.
"Hey! Watch it!" Kendall barked.
"It's fine, its fine." Ronnie was either reassuring herself or Kendall. But either way, she held her switch closer.
All she wanted to do was play animal crossing in peace. Maybe organize her island, or catch things to sell in the box outside Nook's cranny.
"Thats like 200$ anyway, why'd you bring it?" Logan asked, sitting by the edge of the pool.
"I haven't played for months because I've been too busy wrangling you guys." Ronnie shrunk in her lounge chair, she accidentally chopped down a peach tree.
"It's a nice day outside, you should be looking at something other than a screen." James chimed in with a lopsided grin.
"Take this from me and you die." Ronnie threatened.
"Okay, okay." James held his hands up and backed away.
"Guys, she has every right to relax anyway she wants."
Logan screwed his face up and gagged.
"You're so in love its sickening." Carlos swam to the edge and taunted the blonde with huge eyebrows.
"Wha-" Kendall gaped.
"Yeah, dude you come to he rescue a lot." James agreed.
Ronnie jumped from her seat when Carlos pulled himself from the water. He shook like a dog and she held her switch away.
"I'll got to one of those cabanas." She didnt wait for the pouting or complaining before she booked it away from the pool.
Kendall pouted.
"I get videogames are cool, but whats so special about animal crossing? Isnt that a game for babies?" Carlos watched her walk away.
"It is not for babies!" Ronnie called from across the pool area. People gave her weird looks but ahe didnt mind.
"Its a stupid animal game..." Carlos mumbled.
"I for one, want to see whats so special about it." James perked up.
Soon the four boys marched over to Ronnie, leaving their lounge chairs and towels for the time being. Cueiously she looked up at them. She looked between all their faces and rose a brow.
"Can we play?" Kendall asked, a hopeful smile on his face. Ronnie furrowed her brows.
"This is single player."
"Cool, we'll take turns!" Carlos slid into the chair next to her. And she may regret it, but she hesitantly handed him her switch.
"Its not an action game, there isnt much to do...." She watched as he ran around the island, marveling at the villagers.
"Oh! Wait, try to catch that cricket!" Logan peered over Carlos' shoulder.
"How?"
"The bug net." Ronnie chuckled. "Open the inventory with X."
It pretty much satiated the teens, now that they were able to play. Logan liked catching the bugs and filling the museum. Carlos liked swimming in the ocean. James, on a whim, discovered Happy Home Decorator but he had more fun buying clothea from Able Sister's.
"So, why do you have peach trees all over the island?" Kendall asked, after a while it was just him and Ronnie at the cabana because the others got bored.
"Oh, thats not important." Her cheeka flushed pink.
"No, no. I wanna know."
She was idly decorating a vacation home with the DLC, hoping he would get distracted and ask her about something else.
"Ronnie?"
"Butt Island!" She blurted out.
"What." Kendall stared at her like she had three heads.
"Because.... I called it Butt Island. Camille gave me peaches to plant and replace all the pear trees."
The blonde blinked twice, but then he started laughing. Ronnie started laughing too. Maybe, just maybe the guys would end up playing animal crossing too.

"Lynn!" He had only been gone for a few minutes but when he sprinted back, he had a gift in his hands. A very... meaty gift. A human contorted gruesomely into the shape of a gift box.
He offered it to her before dropping it into her hands, grinning from ear to ear as if he hadn't just ruined a person and destroyed a family in the process. But what was one human... or any humans to a curse like him?
Inside the gift was chaos. Stolen pears from the market down the street, a bunch of random cash crinkled up and thrown in for her to buy things she wanted. A card, unsigned of course but stolen because the sentiment sounded nice?
And lastly, a single ring. It would have been at the bottom of the box had it not been caught upon the stem of a pear. A pretty thing, likely stolen from a store. But strangely, it looked to be her size - as if he took his time to walk around the shop he plucked it from. A single red stone with, not too big nor too small. Smaller citrine stones were inlaid around it, save for the single small topaz at the bottom. All sat pretty upon a silver band that had its own intricate pattern to it.
It was a ring fitting for a birthday month, he had done his research while at the shop - the keeper there had a funny little book that put all kinds of meanings behind the stones. And he found this. A one of a kind, handmade ring.
One didn't need much imagination for why he picked the blood red stone for her to be its centerpiece. Words weren't needed for that symbolism to be clear enough.
"That was fast!" Lynn marveled, her head leaning back over the couch to get an upside-down view of the approaching curse, his grin brimming with pride, his eyes wide and anticipating. As Mahito pranced over with the flesh box, Lynn was reminded of a cat bringing home a mangled rodent with a bloody, innocent smile.
It was no different. Humans were rodents, pests that did nothing but bring ruin...And Mahito was the exterminator.
The box sat heavy in her hands, it had more heft than she expected. Lynn's fingers sank into the squishy flesh, stopping against the bones of what still was a man's jaw. She sat the head in her lap but not before giving it a playful shake. If the thing still had brains she surely would've rattled them out.
Carefully, Lynn guided the jaw open, a groan singing out like a music box. The upper half of the head fell back, folding in half in the same horrible fashion as her favorite trap in Gigsaw- The Inverted Beartap.-
Both rows of teeth were displayed this way, like yellowed pearls on red velvet. That alone was a wonderful gift, and Lynn traced her finger over both crescents, wondering if this box would sing new songs as she extracted it's gems.
But there was more! Mahito had delivered Lynn a real treasure chest!- Or, head.
Inside there was a mess of green, pears and paper money piled up to the mollars. A swash of blue glitter caught Lynn's eye, a corner of a card poking out the mound of fruit and Yen. Upon excavating it, a slightly bent picture of a sunny beach was revealed, bright red text dancing across reading ' Happy Birthday, Beach!!' That made Lynn giggle softly, opening the card to read the follow-up text.
'Don't be crabby!'
With a little crab beneath it. Too cute!
Lynn closed the card, thoughtfully observing the cover. There was a lounge chair set upon the beach, shaded by an umbrella....Mahito had managed to pick up something that was both funny and endearing. Lynn felt over the grainy texture of the sparkles smeared across the sea and sand.
It didn't take long before another shinny thing caught her eye.
And what a pretty thing it was.
Lynn's lips parted in a soundless gasp, taking the ring between her fingers carefully, as if afraid it'd shatter- it certainly looked like it would! The ring was so delicate, a far cry from any rings Mahito had given her before, chipped, corroded by blood rings torn off the fingers of his victims and crudely bent to fit his human's little finger.
Lynn's eyes were transfixed on the ring, peering into the depths of the twinkling facets. It was stunning, the kind of ring that'd strike a girls heart with wild yearning with a single glance, the kind of ring that'd make a girl swear to marry whoever got it for her.
"It's...So pretty..." Lynn held the tiny circlet close to her heart, the center stone sharing it's color and passion, it's violence.
And it fit so perfectly on the finger it was meant for. Lynn held out her hand, watching the ruby glimmer and dance with the citrine and topaz, reflections of the vibrancy and devotion harbored within her soul.
She loved it so much..
Setting the box beside her, Lynn leapt up, throwing her arms around Mahito's waist to snare him in a tight embrace. The best gift she could ever receive was this curse.
She loved him so much...
"Thank you, Mahito~ You're the best..~"
Now, she had to get him a ring to match!!

Sharks and the waterpark
Thursday 23rd March ✩ How Many Candles on the Birthday Cake: 5 years old
Billy turns 5 today.
It’s the last proper birthday he’ll ever have, but he doesn’t know that of course.
His Dad ruffles his head before leaving for work, mentions picking up a cake when he comes back. Billy halfheartedly hums into his cereal.
He really just wanted to play at the park with his friends but was shot down straight away. Today is for family-time, that's what his father says.
It’s not really family time when no-one makes eye contact with one another. When Mom keeps sweeping broken cutlery under the cabinets.
Billy’s resigned himself to reading the whole day, it’s best to stay out of his mother’s way lest he stress her out more.
No, Billy is not sulking.
But it’s lonely in his room.
He throws the latest story across the bed, losing interest after the hero left the most interesting character behind.
There’s a knock on the door, he sits up.
“Yes Mama?”
A blonde head peaks around, a playful grin on her face.
“Are you ready to do something fun baby?”
“To do what Ma?” He swings off the bed confused yet hopeful,
“It’s a secret! Just grab your swimming trunks and meet me downstairs okay?” Billy nods and goes to grab a pair of shorts, are they going to the beach?
Downstairs he’s ushered into the car and Ma buckles them both up.
She says the journey will be long so Billy gets comfortable, drifting into a nap when her hand reaches over to play with loose strands of his ponytail..
–
Billy wakes to fingers tickling his chin. Looking up, Mama is smiling.
“We’re here!”
He squints out the window, there’s a large blue billboard in the shape of a dragon displaying ‘Great beast Water park’
Billy blinks a few times, brain cogs turning. Face lighting up as soon as it clicks,
“A Water park! Can we stay long Ma? Pleaseee?”
She pinches his nose, “Of course sunshine.”
–
Billy plays in the younger kids area, full of small slides and play frames submerged underwater. They don’t have any fancy floaties or pool rings the other kids have so Billy rides on his Mama’s shoulders; they pretend to be dolphins jumping up and down over the waves.
He goes down a few slides and dunks Mom’s head into the waterfall. She shrieks and pulls him underneath in retaliation. They’re both laughing, hair sticking to their faces and soaked to the core.
Once Mama sees how prawny Billy’s hands are getting she guides him over the large sandpit area acting like a mini beach. Mom lounges on a decking chair while Billy wanders down near the waterline, he’s decided to make a sand castle but doesn't really know how.
Piling a bunch of sand together Billy forms a mound and pokes windows around the outside. Okay, maybe most castles are more square but this could be an underground castle. That’s way cooler!
Another kid approaches his building and laughs. Kicks it over, calling it a ‘sand hill’ instead. Billy snarls in response causing the other to back away, he doesn’t bother him again.
Mama joins after seeing his mood dampen and teaches Billy how to build proper sandcastles, a technique of using the water to let sand drip from his hand. When they’re done it looks even better than the all the other kids boxy ones!
They buy ice cream before leaving, chocolate mint for him and strawberry for Mama. She winks at him,
“We still have the big surprise left,”
Billy looks up confused, what could be left? He’s had the best day playing in the water and spending time with Ma, nothing could be better.
Mama covers his eyes with one hand, leading them somewhere. Billy’s giggling uncontrollably. He keeps tripping over leftover shoes and bags!
He almost goes flying when she suddenly halts,
“Okay, open your eyes baby.”
Billy squeals realising where they are. A toy store!
It’s all water themed, seashell motifs and waves are on every surface possible. There’s shelves filled to the brim with sea creature plushies and aquatic coloured stationary. His eye’s land on a particular toy.
She says to look around and grab anything he likes, but Billy already knows exactly what’s coming home with him.
There’s a stuffed shark at the top shelf, it’s the perfect size for cuddling! Mama follows his gaze and laughs once spotting what he’s chosen. She holds Billy up to grab the toy from the shelf but it’s too high, his fingers barely graze it!
A shop attendant sees their struggle and comes over to help, the lady hands the teddy to him and smiles,
“A feisty animal for such a cute girl!”
In an instant Billy turns away, offended. Mama laughs, kissing the top of his head.
“He gets that a lot”
It takes a second for her to understand but she apologies,
“Oh sorry! For a handsome boy,”
The lady pinches his cheek and both elders laugh, Billy huffs snuggling further into Mama’s neck. Adults are annoying!
His mood lightens when they retreat to the car, happily hugging the shark he’s named Sharky (he’s not feeling the most imaginative today).
By the time the radio moves onto the next song Billy’s falling asleep, but not before he can murmur out,
“Love you Ma…”
She pats his head, again twining a finger around loose locks on his face.
“You too baby,”
And done! So excited to join in the event, I hope all the grammar and spelling is correct since I’ve been scanning over it so many times my eyes itch :,))

Shopping
Read on AO3!
A/N: I had this visual of Mad just clinging to Mare's arm while they're out shopping and... this happened.
Mad frowned, clinging tightly to Mare’s arm as he led him through the store, hesitantly pointing out certain items that caught his attention and pressing his face into Mare’s shoulder when he put them in the cart.
“You don’t have to buy everything I point out,” Mad mumbled, face red and holding Mare’s arm tighter as he placed a small potted plant into the cart. “I just think they’re pretty, not that we should buy them.”
“We can fit these in the house, dear,” Mare replied with a laugh, adjusting so Mad wasn’t cutting off circulation in his arm. “I’ll be more worried when we actually get to the furniture.” As he spoke, he tossed a couple packets of paper towels into the cart, then turned his head to kiss the top of Mad’s head before heading for the registers.
--
“Mare, I really don’t think we need anymore furniture,” Mad protested as they walked into the shop, still holding Mare’s arm tightly and staying close to his side.
“Mad, our couch feels like a wooden bench. That is not comfortable for either of us.” Mad relented with a pout, blushing furiously when Mare turned around and kissed him, frown disappearing as he hid his face in Mare’s shirt.
He stood with his mouth agape as Mare looked at a blue sofa, taking in the suede covering and the width of the item, lifting a hand to bite his nail as Mare checked the measurements. When Mare took his free hand, Mad allowed himself to be led to the sofa, stiffly sitting on it and watching with wide eyes as Mare sat beside him.
“This seems comfortable,” Mare commented, standing and moving to sit on the lounge part of the chair, facing Mad and running his hand over the fabric. “Soft, too.”
“I like this,” Mad agreed, freezing when Mare leaned closer, running his fingers along Mad’s jaw before pulling him forward by his chin to kiss him. Mad’s eyes fluttered closed, losing himself in the feel of Mare’s mouth on his, humming when Mare slipped his tongue in to deepen the kiss.
“W-Wait,” he let out in a rush, pulling away from Mare and shaking his head. “We’re in a public place.” He furrowed his brow when Mare smiled, hand still on his chin.
“We’re just kissing, love,” he whispered, then leaned forward, free hand supporting himself on the cushion beside Mad as he smirked against Mad’s lips. “There aren’t any rules against making out on a sofa we’re looking to buy.” With that comment, he kissed Mad again, smiling when Mad allowed him to slip his tongue in this time.
“Excuse me, sirs,” They parted at the sound of the flustered worker’s voice, Mare rolling his eyes and Mad ducking down to hide his red face in Mare’s shirt. “We have… rules against sitting on the furniture too long. Unless you’re going to buy—”
“We are buying it,” Mare interrupted, climbing off the sofa and gently guiding the worker to the orders desk. “How soon can you deliver it to this address?”
--
“Stop hyperventilating, Mad, nothing bad happened!” Mare laughed as he drove them home, glancing at Mad before patting his knee. “But as soon as we’ve put away our shopping, I’d love to continue that make out session,” he teased, laughing again when Mad grabbed his hand and entwined their fingers.

This story might be too early but don't lost idea
That Christmas Eve, as the crisp winter air embraced the quaint little town, Daisydo’s home was aglow with warmth and enchantment. She had transformed her little space into a haven of creativity, and her knitted snowmen proudly stood on display, waiting for their moment to bring joy to their new owners.
Her friends and family gathered, their excitement rising as they anticipated the festive celebration. Little ones scampered about, making snow angels on the carpet and giggling as they peeked into the boxes of completed crafts. Adults lounged in cozy chairs, sipping hot chocolate topped with marshmallows, their faces lit with delight.
Among the guests was a boy named Tom, with bright eyes and an insatiable curiosity. As he emerged from a sea of jolly adults, he approached Daisydo, his mind racing with thoughts of gifts, sweets, and adventure. “Can family and friends come here to get gifts for children?” he exclaimed. “I saw the knitting Santa you made, and I want to know where the chocolate is!” His enchanting innocence made Daisydo smile, her heart swelling with love for the children in her life.
“Don’t worry, Tom!” she laughed. “The gifts are waiting for you, and I’ve hidden a treasure trove of chocolates somewhere in this home. It’s part of the fun!” She summoned her friends to gather around, sharing the moment.
“Alright, everyone! Each snowman and knitting Santa holds gifts for you all, but first, we must go on a little hunt!” Daisydo clapped her hands together, her joyful spirit contagious. “The chocolates are hidden somewhere in our winter wonderland, and I need your help to find them!”
Tom and the other children squealed with excitement as they spread out, searching high and low, peeking beneath tables and inside drawers. Laughter filled the air as they found playful clues that Daisydo had cleverly scattered—little notes and hints leading to the sugary surprises.
Meanwhile, the adults gathered around the handmade snowmen, each one decorated differently to reflect the family members they represented. They carefully opened the boxes revealing Daisydo’s heartfelt creations—a snowman adorned with a red scarf for Grandma, another in bright green for Uncle Joe, and more for each cherished person in her life.
As the children raced back to the room with the found chocolates, their hands full of colorful wrappers, the adults celebrated their own treasures. Each adult shared the joy of their respective knitted gifts, marveling at the effort and love that had gone into each piece.
“Daisydo, you have truly captured the spirit of Christmas!” one of her friends exclaimed. “Your creativity and kindness have brought us all together.”
After the revelry of gift-giving and laughter faded, Daisydo clapped her hands once more, “Time for a little dance, everyone! But remember, it’s a dance without music!”
At first, the guests were unsure, exchanging puzzled glances. But Tom’s face lit up at the idea, and he spontaneously started to twirl. The laughter returned, this time rippling through the crowd as they followed suit, overjoyed by the challenge.
Daisydo led them confidently, guiding her friends to sway their bodies to the rhythm of their heartbeats. They formed a circle, holding hands and moving in a playful manner, dancing as one cohesive unit. With each twist and turn, they immersed themselves in the sheer joy of the moment. The laughter intensified, melting away any worry they might have carried.
When the dance came to a joyful end, the room echoed with applause and cheers. “You see,” Daisydo announced, her face glowing, “Christmas is not just about the gifts or the decorations, it’s about the love and laughter we share with one another.”
As the evening wound down, Daisydo felt a warmth that was far more enriching than any expensive gift could buy. Children played with their snowmen, adults wore the cozy hats she had crafted, and they all shared stories over mugs of steaming cocoa.
That night, Daisydo discovered the true magic of Christmas—the joy of giving and sharing creativity, togetherness, and the laughter that filled the air, weaving memories that would last long after the decorations were taken down. As the snowflakes danced gently outside her window, she smiled, knowing that the best gifts come from the heart.
And in a quaint little town, nestled between rolling hills and sparkling rivers, the spirit of Christmas thrived beautifully, thanks to the whimsical magic of Daisydo.

The Essential Guide to Outdoor Furniture: Create Your Ideal Outdoor Space
When designing a beautiful outdoor area, nothing makes a difference like the right outdoor furniture. Selecting the right pieces from a spacious garden to a cozy balcony or a large patio can turn your outdoor space into a personal sanctuary or entertainment hub. With a wide range of options available, from classic to modern designs, outdoor furniture offers something for everyone. This article will discuss various types of outdoor garden furniture, including outdoor benches, chairs, lounges, and some great options if you're looking for outdoor furniture in Delhi.
Why Invest in Outdoor Furniture?
Outdoor furniture plays a critical role in the functionality and aesthetics of an outdoor space. Investing in high-quality outdoor furniture creates a comfortable, stylish area to relax, dine, or host guests. It can expand your living space, providing a welcoming environment for family and friends. Additionally, quality outdoor furniture is designed to withstand weather conditions, meaning you won’t need to replace it frequently.
Types of Outdoor Garden Furniture
Several types of outdoor garden furniture can suit different needs and preferences. Here's a breakdown of the most popular types:
1. Outdoor Benches
Outdoor benches are a timeless addition to gardens and patios. They provide ample seating and are often a go-to choice for those who prefer a classic, rustic look. Whether made from wood, metal, or synthetic materials, benches offer durability and charm. Many garden benches come with built-in storage options, making them both stylish and functional. They are perfect for lounging with a book, hosting a gathering, or simply enjoying the view of your garden.
Materials to Consider for Outdoor Benches:
Wood: Teak, cedar, and eucalyptus are popular choices for wooden benches. These materials are naturally resistant to weather, pests, and decay.
Metal: Aluminum and wrought iron provide a sturdy and durable option for benches. They can be left outside year-round without much wear.
Synthetic: Polywood or plastic composite materials offer a lightweight and weather-resistant option, mimicking the look of wood without the upkeep.
2. Outdoor Chairs
Outdoor chairs come in various styles, including dining chairs, armchairs, and reclining chairs. These chairs are versatile and can be used around dining tables, fire pits, or on the porch. Outdoor chairs should be comfortable, weatherproof, and easy to move.
Popular Types of Outdoor Chairs:
Adirondack Chairs: Known for their iconic slanted back and wide armrests, these chairs are comfortable and stylish.
Folding Chairs: Ideal for small spaces or temporary seating, folding chairs are lightweight and easy to store.
Rocking Chairs: These classic chairs are perfect for a relaxing afternoon on the patio.
Dining Chairs: Suitable for those who enjoy dining outdoors, these chairs often pair well with matching outdoor dining tables.
3. Outdoor Lounge Furniture
If relaxation is your primary goal, outdoor lounge furniture is a must-have. From chaise lounges to daybeds, these pieces are designed for ultimate comfort. Outdoor lounge furniture is perfect for sunbathing, reading, or simply unwinding in style. Look for cushions made from weather-resistant fabric that won't fade or degrade over time.
Types of Outdoor Lounges:
Chaise Lounges: These are perfect for poolside lounging, allowing you to lie back and soak up the sun.
Daybeds: A great choice for larger spaces, daybeds offer a cozy spot to nap or relax.
Hammocks: For a laid-back vibe, a hammock can be a wonderful addition to any garden or patio.
Key Considerations When Buying Outdoor Furniture
When selecting outdoor furniture, it's essential to keep several factors in mind to make the most of your investment.
1. Material and Durability
The material of your outdoor furniture determines its longevity and maintenance requirements. Weather-resistant materials like teak, aluminum, and synthetic wicker are excellent choices. Avoid materials that rust, warp, or fade easily when exposed to the elements.
2. Comfort
Comfort is paramount when it comes to outdoor furniture. Look for pieces with plush, water-resistant cushions and ergonomic designs. Adjustable chairs and reclining options can provide added comfort.
3. Style and Aesthetics
Choose furniture that matches your home’s exterior and landscape. Whether you prefer a modern, sleek look or a traditional, rustic feel, there are countless styles available.
4. Maintenance
Opt for furniture that requires minimal maintenance. Easy-to-clean materials like powder-coated metal or weatherproof rattan are ideal. Some furniture pieces come with removable, washable cushion covers, which makes maintenance even easier.
5. Space and Functionality
Consider the size of your outdoor space. Measure the area where you plan to place the furniture, and make sure there's enough room for movement. Multifunctional pieces like storage benches or foldable tables can save space while enhancing the area’s functionality.

This approach ensures you select an Eames chair that aligns with your lifestyle and enhances your environment.
Researching the Market
Even with a specific design in mind, delving into the market is vital to ensure you make an informed purchase of an Eames chair. Investigate various styles and models available, paying attention to specifications, such as materials, sizes, and price ranges. Familiarise yourself with both classic and modern reproductions to align your choice with your personal aesthetic and budget.
Retailers in the UK
Below are several renowned retailers in the UK where you can find Eames chairs, both authentic and reproduction. Check out established furniture stores, as well as specialised design shops, to explore their selections. Local showrooms often allow you to experience the chair’s quality and comfort firsthand. It's beneficial to read customer reviews and ratings to ensure you're purchasing from a reputable source.
Online vs. Physical Stores
Online shopping has become increasingly popular, yet physical stores offer tactile experiences that cannot be replicated digitally.
Understanding the advantages and disadvantages of online and physical stores will aid your decision-making. Online retailers often provide a broader selection and potential discounts, but you miss out on trying the chair before purchase. In contrast, physical stores allow you to sit and feel the chair, ensuring its comfort and fit for your space. Consider visiting a store to experience the chair first, then compare prices online for the best deal. Evaluating both options can ultimately lead you to a more satisfying purchase.
Setting a Budget
For purchasing an Eames Chair in the UK, establishing a budget is necessary. This involves assessing your financial situation and determining how much you are willing to spend. With various models and materials available, understanding your budget will help you make informed choices that suit both your taste and your finances.
Price Ranges
On average, Eames Chairs can range from £500 to over £3,000, depending on the model and the materials used. Classic designs, like the Eames Lounge Chair, typically command higher prices, while replicas may be more affordable. It's important to evaluate what features or qualities matter most to you when considering your budget.
Financing Options
Price may seem like a barrier, but various financing options can make acquiring an Eames Chair more achievable.
But with numerous retailers offering payment plans or financing solutions, you can spread the cost of your chair over several months. Look for options such as zero-interest instalment plans or pay-later schemes to make the purchase more manageable. Additionally, some stores may offer financing through third-party companies which can also provide flexible payment solutions suited to your budget and preferences.
Checking Authenticity
To ensure you invest wisely in an Eames chair, it is vital to check its authenticity. Genuine Eames chairs are not just furniture; they are a testament to design excellence. Familiarising yourself with the identifying features will help you avoid purchasing fakes and ensure that your investment holds its value over time.
Identifying Genuine Eames Chairs
Behind every authentic Eames chair lies a unique combination of quality materials and iconic design. Look for key characteristics such as the craftsmanship, the materials used, and the manufacturer's labels. These aspects will help distinguish genuine pieces from imitations, ensuring you acquire a product that is worthy of the Eames name.
Common Counterfeits
The market is flooded with counterfeit Eames chairs that can deceive even the most discerning buyer. Many of these replicas closely mimic the original design but often compromise on quality and durability, making them less desirable in the long run.
It is important to be aware of the common counterfeits available in the market. These imitations may feature inferior materials, lack the signature Eames detailing, or have incorrect proportions. Additionally, some replicas might not carry the proper branding or certification labels. By educating yourself on these discrepancies, you can make an informed decision and avoid falling victim to counterfeit sellers.
Evaluating Condition
Many factors influence the condition of an Eames chair, whether it’s new or vintage. Assessing its state is vital before making a purchase, as it can significantly affect both its value and your satisfaction. Pay attention to the materials, functionality, and overall appearance to ensure you’re investing in a piece that meets your standards.
New vs. Vintage
By deciding between a new or vintage Eames chair, you influence both style and lifespan. New chairs often come with warranties and are in pristine condition, while vintage options may carry unique character, but could also show signs of wear. Weigh the pros and cons according to your preferences.
Inspecting for Damage
Along with evaluating the overall design, inspecting for any damage is a key step. Look for scratches, dents, or structural issues that could affect the chair's use and aesthetics.
The process of inspecting for damage involves checking both the visible surfaces and hidden components. Gently examine the upholstery for tears or stains and ensure that the frame is intact. Pay special attention to the joints and supports, as these areas often weaken over time. If buying from a retailer, ask for detailed images or descriptions of any flaws. This diligence helps ensure you choose a chair that not only looks good but is also durable and safe for use.
Making the Purchase
Not every seller will have the same policies or practices in place, so it's important to learn about the purchasing process before committing to a decision. Check for clear information on delivery times, assembly options, and if there are any additional costs involved in the transaction. Ideally, you want a smooth process that gives you confidence in your purchase.
Payment Methods
Around the time of purchase, you'll encounter various payment methods. Ensure the retailer offers secure options such as credit cards or trusted payment services like PayPal. It's crucial to choose a method that best suits your preferences and provides buyer protection in case of any issues.
Warranty and Return Policies
Behind the decision to buy an Eames Chair, consider the warranty and return policies offered by the retailer. A solid warranty can protect your investment, while a flexible return policy allows you to exchange or refund items if they don’t meet your expectations.
Plus, seeking out a retailer with a robust warranty can significantly enhance your buying experience. Look for at least a one-year warranty on craftsmanship and materials, as this indicates the manufacturer's confidence in the product. Always read the fine print of the return policy too; it should clearly outline the time frame for returns and any conditions that may apply, ensuring you have peace of mind with your purchase.
Conclusion
Drawing together the imperative steps to buy an Eames chair in the UK, you should carefully consider your budget, explore authentic retailers, and choose the right style and material that complements your space. Take the time to read customer reviews and verify warranties for peace of mind. By following these steps, you will ensure that your investment in this iconic piece of furniture enhances your home while also reflecting your personal taste. Your satisfaction with this timeless design is just a well-informed decision away.

Check out our complete guide on choosing the perfect sofas and loveseats for your home!
Understanding the Difference: Sofa vs. Loveseat
Before diving into design and features, it's important to understand the distinction between sofas and loveseats:
Sofas: Typically seating three or more people, sofas are larger and come in a variety of styles. They are perfect for family rooms or larger living spaces where entertaining guests or relaxing is a priority.
Loveseats: These are more compact, seating two people comfortably. Loveseats are ideal for smaller spaces, such as apartments or offices, or when paired with a larger sofa for a complementary seating arrangement.
Key Features to Consider When Buying Sofas and Loveseats
When selecting a sofa or loveseat, there are a few key features to consider that will impact both style and functionality:
1. Size and Space
Before you start shopping, measure your space carefully. Think about:
Room Dimensions: Ensure the sofa or loveseat fits well within your living room, leaving enough space for movement.
Scale: In smaller spaces, a loveseat or apartment-sized sofa can help create a cozy ambiance without overwhelming the room.
2. Comfort
Comfort is key! Look for sofas and loveseats that provide both the style you love and the support you need. Consider factors such as:
Cushion Filling: Down-filled cushions offer softness, while foam provides firmer support. Choose according to your preference.
Seat Depth: Deep seats are great for lounging, while shallow seats are better for more formal seating.
3. Fabric and Upholstery
Choosing the right fabric is crucial for both style and durability. Popular options include:
Leather: Sleek, easy to clean, and durable, but can be expensive.
Linen: Breathable and stylish but can wrinkle easily.
Microfiber: A great budget-friendly, stain-resistant option for families with children or pets.
4. Style and Design
Your sofa or loveseat should reflect your home’s aesthetic. Popular styles include:
Modern: Clean lines and minimalistic designs.
Traditional: Classic shapes with rolled arms and tufted cushions.
Mid-Century: Sleek, low-profile designs with wooden legs.
5. Functionality
If you're looking for more than just seating, consider multifunctional options:
Sofa Beds: Perfect for guests, these combine seating with a fold-out bed.
Reclining Sofas: For ultimate relaxation, reclining sofas provide adjustable comfort.
Sofas and Loveseats for Every Room
Living Room: Opt for larger sofas or sectionals if you have the space, paired with a loveseat for a complete seating arrangement.
Office or Study: A loveseat or small sofa adds a touch of comfort to your workspace without taking up too much room.
Guest Room: A sofa bed provides seating during the day and a comfortable bed for overnight visitors.
How to Arrange Sofas and Loveseats in Your Space
Creating the perfect layout depends on your space:
Symmetry: Pairing a sofa with two loveseats or matching armchairs creates a balanced, formal look.
L-Shaped Arrangement: Perfect for maximizing space in a corner or open-plan room.
Facing Arrangement: Place a sofa opposite a loveseat or two chairs for conversational seating in smaller spaces.
