Beginning

Bought myself small sketchbook to draw small adventures of small spider. Hornet is a bit overreacting :')

Synopsis of this inspired by @lilybug-02 AU: MC's name is Anna, she just finished uni and she have no idea what to do in her life. One day she finds really weird spider in her garden. It appears this talking spider is Hornet and she escaped bug kingdom called Pharloom. Hornet asks Anna for small place to refuge and now she needs to learn how to survive in new world, even more dangerous and bigger.

It's social anxiety time! Anna is fucking scared of calls. Hornet is just there for her anxious as hell temporary host.

Small continuation of previous one mini-comic. This time — something more serious (whoooah!). Hornet is going through some struggles.

Anna: why tf you're striking my phone with your needle

Hornet: some man inside struck you and hit you

Anna: *looking at the screen* alright???

Hornet: WHY HE DOES KNOW YOUR NAME WHAT FORM OF WITCHCRAFT IS THAT???

Anna: Michael Jackson.

Hornet: it might be a powerful spell, huh

I think more adult approach will suit Hornet's journey nicely. She had her comfort zone and duties and after Dream No More everything suddenly changes. Hornet's no longer defender of ruins. There's nothing to protect.

And Anna just got her diploma, completely out of her comfort zone too. She had study routine but after graduation there's no more duties. I might say that it could be more vent thing than just silly adventures. And I'm still like.. nervous since I'm not so good at comic and stuff. Will someone be actually interested in such thing???

Follow up question; Does Anna find out that the little spider she found in her yard is also half dragon(?) and possibly a god?

Hornet is highly secretive about it. Anna doesn't know a thing about lore (because Hollow Knight is nonexistent in this universe) and it might be a good thing to keep that in secret. But! If there will be opportunity for Hornet to show her powers (maybe even during her fight with Lace because she apparently will be lost too), Anna will be surprised as hell.

How exactly did the first meeting between hornet and her host go? I'd be pretty terrified if I found a demigod spider just chilling outside tbh

It went funny enough since Anna isn't really onto bugs or spiders at the beginning. Yet she has character arc with learning to appreciate small lifeforms ☝️ she doesn't really need to know that Hornet is a demigod and daughter of eldritch horror and ancient wyrm, she's scared by simply thought of Hornet being present in her life, poor girl.

And she wasn't just chilling, she fought for her dear life against Big Hairy Quadrupedal Beasts From Above (dog named Ayax and cats Phil, Miko and Grunkle).

My au was inspired by someone too tbh! It exists because of @lilybug-02 comic "Dewi's adventures in Hollow Knight", I highly recommend it :'D it's simply delightful comic which shows Hallownest and it's bugkind from perspective of young boy and I love how sometimes goofy and funny it is. It's finished but sometimes author drops more content via arts and sketches :3
