When Loria chooses a druid to become one of its many guardians, a druid's fur changes to suit their magic's expertise and Cassandra is no exception. With the vibrant colours of a freshly plucked apple, Cassandra knew her magics calling. Cassandra protects the Fruit Grove in the middle of Darkspine, protecting the world's fruit with her swirling green aura, hiding it from all eyes except her druidic circle. Overseeing the Fruit Grove with bright lime eyes, Cassandra holds an alternate way to unlock Aura in a wolf of her choosing.

Brought up by loving parents, Cassandra grew up to be a calm, peaceful wolf in tune with nature. Unlike most wolfs, Cassandra chose to never hunt and only gathered her food and the bounty that animals would gift to her. Easily able to befriend any natural-born critter, Cassandra is gifted honey from the bees, milk from migrating Bovius and eggs from friendly Nytha.

⌜ • ° + ° • ⌝ ...History... ⌞ ° • + • ° ⌟
Despite the fact that Cassandra's parents weren't druids, nor her any of her forefathers, once her family had heard that their pup had been chosen as a guardian of Loria, they held a celebration that lasted a day for every year the pup had lived. A festival that comes around every year in her hometown as they cheered on their very own druid, proud of the fact that she was the first of her line to hold druidic magic in her blood. Cassandra is released every year by the Grove to celebrate and reunite with her family, allowing Nylian Glens to look after her Grove.
Despite only meeting the wolf for a day or two at a time, Cassandra has developed quite the crush on Nylian. She only hopes that at the Druidic Dance that comes every decade that he choses her to be his dance partner and daydreams often of getting to know him better.

And I can see why you were excited for this one! This is such a pretty concept! Gorgeous idea!
Lorch 10: Dawn
I'm excited about this one! Why simply have a halo when the whole face can be shadowy and sparkly and mysterious, too?
[img id] A white, long-legged maned wolf on a gray background. The wolf is drawn in a clean cel-shaded style. Drawn on top of the wolf in pencil and white digital lines are a sharp shadow that obscures most of the wolf's face, paired with an intricate halo of light that clips into and out of the wolf, like a parhelion. We're back! Apologies for the radio silence over the past few months, we're pleased to say that JimJim's arm has been healing well and is almost entirely recovered. Our team has been hard at work building, testing, and creating art assets for the achievement system - and we're pleased to announce that it will be launching today as soon as the scheduled maintenance has concluded!
We've also taken this time to go back and address some of the bugs and issues that have been reported. Recent code changes have been recorded in the latest Patch Notes 1.1.6.
It's finally ready; achievements have just landed in the world of Loria! Players can track their progress as they complete goals and unlock achievement-exclusive rewards through everyday, regular gameplay. Navigate to the Achievements page from the Den menu:
Achievements have been divided into four subcategories - General, Gameplay, Professions, and Den. If you have an achievement reward available to claim, it will display as a small red dot next to the tab name.
General: For completion of general gameplay tasks such as achievements completed, weekly activities completed, etc.
Starter: A category to help onboard new players to the game. Apparel items awarded in this category are not soulbound, and can also be purchased from Marvin's Mole Market.
Gameplay: Includes Arena, Campaign, Gauntlet, and Pageant tasks and awards several different exclusive apparel sets and recipes.
Professions: Covers every profession and awards weekly event vouchers.
Den: A category for miscellaneous tasks such as inventory management, wolf breeding, etc.
Completing an achievement may grant any of the following: Achievement points, Moonstones, Pebbles, Forum titles, Companions, apparel items, food, materials, and more. (As a side note, this update has almost doubled the total number of official game apparel!) Once an achievement has been claimed, it will be sent to the player via Notifications.
Achievement points and titles will display below a player's profile within the Forums. Titles can be set from the Account Settings page.
Some final notes:
Due to this being the very first iteration of Achievements, the majority of player progress made prior to this update can not be backdated. Achievements such as profession and companion level will be updated automatically by the system. Moving forward, players should expect some adjustments as we continuously work to ensure a fair and rewarding experience. We've set the rewards and requirements according to the predicted data of an average player who logs in over the course of a year, but this may change as more players engage with the feature and provide feedback. Some achievements will be met relatively quickly, while others are to be earned over paced regular gameplay. We plan to add even more achievements and rewards as the site and its features grow to ensure the average player always has something to work towards. We welcome any and all gameplay suggestions from our community to be posted in the Suggestions Forum.
New Recipe Search and Mining Ore
A new search, sort, and pager feature have been added to both the Crafting and Cooking professions. Now, players can easily search and sort through their ever-expanding list of recipes without having to scroll through the entire page.
It's time to collect all the shinies - precious gemstones can now be mined throughout the caves of Loria! Players can now rarely find Sapphire, Ruby, Amethyst, Citrine, and Emerald gems. As of now, these gems can be used to craft the exclusive Achievement daggers. We plan to release many new crafting recipes and apparel items featuring these rare gems.
New Breed Sneak Peak
Shown above are a couple sketch ideas for Lorwolf's upcoming wolf breed - Direwolves! We're aiming for this breed to be big, bulky, and powerful; with massive fangs and a short bob-tail. It will be similar to lynx cats in appearance and will have a special affinity for nature and ancient magic.
In other news, our annual Black Friday sale returns next week; more info about that will be coming soon! Thank you for sticking with us, especially when development may seem slower than usual. Our small yet passionate development team is committed to bringing the best experience to our players. We are so proud of how far we've come, and we want to thank you for your continued patience.
Moonsblessings, Alaunis, JimJim, and Swell

Note
it's not even just the lack of real communication (these weekly events that happen every week do not count) but there simply just... isn't a whole lot to do. games can survive with quiet or slow updates if it's fun. what can you do on lorwolf? spam campaign until you're bored? wait for the same professions to progress? adding ANOTHER profession is not going to retain players. unless it's an active game of some sort but i doubt it.

When one has captured Witches as long as Sage had, one was bound to earn a scar or ten, or have the back of their fur become infused with magic. The mulberry stains that break up his cream and brown coat came from the Fifth Witch he had hunted after they had forcibly attempted to turn he, himself, into the very thing he despised. His once bright blue eyes, slowly dulled to a pitch murky colour from being exposed darkest of magics, can now detect the slightest glimpse of Chaotic Magic.
───✱*.。:。✱*.:。✧*.。✰*.:。✧*.。:。*.。✱ ───
⌜ • ° + ° • ⌝ .Personality. ⌞ ° • + • ° ⌟
Gruff and as weathered as a cliff face, Sage gives off the impression that he was born made of stone. One would not be so far from that idea. Stoic even as a young wolf, his severity was only hardened as he trained under his mentor and father, Basil. Upon Basil's passing at the hands of his first captured Witch, Sage took on the heavy mantle of finding any supporter of strife and the Witches beloved by Chaos. The years have caused him to be a stern, stubborn sort, especially when it comes to teaching. Unable to see how and why younger wolves cannot do what he did and why they're into such strange things that invite Chaos into their lives. Yet, despite that, he sees his apprentice as the child he never had and bit by bit, Sage is learning that not everything needs to be tough and stiff.

⌜ • ° + ° • ⌝ ...History... ⌞ ° • + • ° ⌟
Witches. Unseelie. Ghouls. The unknown. Deep down in some glimmer of their histories, Chaos was at the heart of them. Yet, as proud followers of Order, Sage's father, his father's father and every father before stretching to the beginning of Loria vowed to protect the balance that Order had set. Each father had train their son alone in south of Darkspine, travelling the world here and there to get them used to the hunt and the creatures that brought Chaos to the world. In particular, Witches, the 13 Brides of Chaos. Covenbreakers, as they were named. It was his family's pride to constantly seek out the Witches and keep them sealed below the earth, in salt, metal and rowan. When a Witch returned to ash and soil, a new Witch would be born and the hunt would begin all over again.
It was a day like any other in Darkspine, in fact, it was rather pleasant when Sage's father came trudging up the hill to their little home shaking his head and mane. The porridge Sage had ate sat like a stone in his stomach at the words his father grunted. The First had lost Chaos' love and returned to the soil. Now was the time to prove his training had not been for naught. They packed well, strapping heavy Bovius leather shoes to their feet to protect them from the trek ahead. Over the lands they marched, following a black lodestone that tugged to the North. The cold lands of Icerun. Sage's first hunt, would be his father's last.
Sage had lost a chunk of his flesh, along with his boyish youth after the hunt. Hearing his father's voice chide him for being a sentimental fool, Sage dragged both his father and the First back to their final resting place in the south of Darkspine. The only person he had loved was gone.
Until a spry strange little wolf became his apprentice and brought a speck of light as a child would to a father into his life.

You’ve already heard my squeals over this, but I still need more of Soot, Ashcloud and Ash.
Their first meeting.
Soot lives with her younger sister, Ash, deep within the forest. While her sister is often busy with mercenary work, Soot tends to their home and the small crops they grow with the help of their trusty companions.
Soot (bottom left) is initially stricken by Ashcloud's superficial similarities to her sister; from her carnation eyes to her dusty coat and the curious aura the hints at more beneath her fur (and even their names are so similar?), Soot finds herself drawn to the kit.
Ashcloud, on the other hand, is immediately smitten by the jocol. She is finally able to find peace of mind in her charming (and often witty) company.

⌜ • ° + ° • ⌝ .Appearance. ⌞ ° • + • ° ⌟
Like their parents, Kaitlyn and Caldwell's pups have the magic of the Seelie fae running through their blood. Ranging from hosting the very skies and cherrywood petals across their fur down to pale frosty coats with harebells. Flowers bloom and entwine on their fur, and their folded faerie wings have yet to unfurl, but each will have mesmerising wings once grown. Like all magic, however, it can be unpredictable in many ways, so don't expect every child of Kaitlyn and Caldwell to follow in the steps of their flowery siblings. Once in a while, a pup may be born that's quite dissimilar, more suited to being Unseelie. From clover, lilypads, moss to nettles, ivy and vines, these pups can come as quite a surprise to their parents.

If there's anything that all pups seem to share, it's their father's boundless curiousity. Whether that be interest in pursuing the arts and knowledge, or adventuring and exploring Loria, or even in just simply sitting and pondering about other wolves, the pups express this curiousity in endless ways. Otherwise, each of the pups are their own individual. Some more inclined to being headstrong and stubborn like their mother, others leaning towards being airy and relaxed like their father, the Seelie looking pups tend to be genuine in their emotions, positive and kind to others. But like all things faerie, they are often contradictory, while all things considered they are sweet and helpful, underneath the surface anything faerie is prone to spite. Cross either the parents or the pups wrong by lying, cheating or causing harm and soon one will know that they are more faerie than a Loria wolf anymore.

⌜ • ° + ° • ⌝ ...History... ⌞ ° • + • ° ⌟
Their father, Caldwell had many years ago come across Kaitlyn sleeping within a faerie ring. Charmed by her ethereal appearance at first, he would take his evening walks on the same route, hoping to see the wolf again. Sometimes he'd see her napping, or chatting to her Chiropta about The Other Side. Curious, and wishing to befriend the curious looking wolf, Caldwell had come closer wishing to converse with her. However, this broke the deal Kaitlyn had made with the Seelie Prince that was her master and it immediately began to summon her back as Caldwell reached out to ask her to wait. Sucked into the Faerie Portal, Caldwell found himself stuck on The Other Side, and whilst he could survive with no food and water, he felt the pains of thirst and hunger as he traveled the faerie lands. And whilst he regales his pups with tales of adventure and The Other Side, their mother, Kaitlyn, usually corrects Caldwell's exaggerated tales. Their time trapped on The Other Side had altered them, making their once Loria-born bodies absorb the magics of the Fae, their fur becoming neon and their personalities taking on more faerie traits after living among them for so long.
Once freed, Caldwell had remained cursed as a Zerda, traveling across the Darkspine with Kaitlyn and the other Fae-stolen wolves looking for a home. Eventually, after traversing through thicket, forests, moors and mountains. They came to the Thundering Rapids of Darkspine, where countless waterfalls and rivers resided. They settled near Lake Nereid, digging their homes into the hill themselves and naming their new home, The Warrens. Now Kaitlyn and Caldwell, the leaders of The Warren den, seek to keep their home safe from the growing signs of Chaos in the lands and pray that their pups grow up safely and venture out for themselves. To experience the vast world of Loria and make their own homes and families.
Now each pup of Caldwell and Kaitlyn seek to explore other dens and create their own stories. Will you allow a young Fae Wolf into your den? To show you the wonders of the fae and magic?

Day 3 - Plant
“If you keep sleeping in the fields, a great big sprout will grow on your head, boy.” So nagged Grarl’s mother many moons ago. But still the rough and tough softie, kept to himself most day, passing the time away from eve to eve with light naps. Till one day, just as his mother foretold, a giant sprout had begun to grow amongst the thick dirt in his fur. Did it deter him? Certainly not. Much to his mother’s disapproval, who had planted that very seed hoping to knock some sense into her wild child.

Day 1 - Metamorphosis The sound of something shattering echoed through the center of the pond. Caldwell's small form twisted this way and that, his eyes closed shut as he was lifted from the water into the air. As he lifted higher, the glow of the pond grew stronger and the sounds of soft singing were carried in the suspended air. Kaitlyn watched on, worry and awe mixed inside of her as her mate began to become translucent. Wisps from the forest began to drift closer, dancing trails as the incorporeal forms of fish jumped out and began to school around the blue Zerda. Hidden from her sight, Kaitlyn cried out his name, taking a step forward only to be held back by the Sage, the metal rings in their dreadlocks clinking with each shake of his head. Clenching her teeth together, Kaitlyn restrained her urge to rush to her mate's side and stared at the ethereal display. It was agony having to wait, the months without Caldwell had taken its toll on Kaitlyn. She whispered under her breath, prayers to the spiritwolf, Mika, praying for Caldwell to make it through this trial safely. Slowly the school of fish began to dim, fading away as the wisps draped around the figure in the air, carrying them to the ground beside them. Kaitlyn rushed to the figure and was shocked to see the figure was no longer a Zerda, but a male Bracchus. He still had Caldwell's markings, the faerie's touch on his blue and purple coat had not faded in the slightest and his familiar black belly was still there. The Bracchus opened his eyes, the familiar turtle eyes still held an otherworldly glow but they instantly sought out Kaitlyn. Despite his change, she knew the unfamiliar yet familiar wolf was her mate, Caldwell. Unsteady, Caldwell stumbled to his feet, his gaze fixed on her and he took one step forward, then another, before pushing his full weight against her in a hug, his long neck entwining hers. For a moment, everything was still, the pain of the journey, the pain and high emotions were all washed away with relief. It was finally all over. "What took you so long, Caldwell." Kaitlyn sniffled. "You know how it is, was lost getting bread from the baker's." Caldwell quipped, receiving a playful bite to his ear. "Ah, ah, darling, that hurts, I'm sorry." "No more curses." Kaitlyn grumbled, her mouth mumbling around his ear. "No more curses." He agreed.

Lortober Day 9 - Challenge
Achoo! Kaiser's snout shook as he spluttered and sniffed loudly. The chill of the wind had his fur standing on end as he peered over the side of the boat. Nope, not a single fish could be seen. Kaiser palmed his face with his paw, he had been at this all week; perhaps he wasn't cut out to be a fisher.
Lunesday was far behind and the sun was beginning to dip in the sky on this Fyrday afternoon, and with the autumn in full throes, the need to store and harvest as much food for the Warrens' stockpile was intense. Yet, here he was unable to provide even a little fish, let alone the mysterious "big catch" of Wisp Falls.
Ears folding, he remembered with a cringe of his boasting and gloating in Slyvan's kitchen to any wolf with ears. For such a fantastic fisher, not being able to capture even one fish had Kaiser suspecting that an unseelie thing had heard his big words and decided to play a trick on him.
Now, no matter where he anchored his boat, nary a fish could be seen nearby, yet others upon the river and lakes heaved up nets filled with squirming, juicy fish. And such a boat came sailing by, with two wolves holding down a writhing net as the rower stood and snickered when he glanced at Kaiser's empty boat.
"No luck again, Kaiser? Don't worry I'm sure you'll net up the big catch by Solsday!" The wolf laughed, continuing to row upstream and away.
Kaiser lip curled into a quiet growl, and he shook the ropes of his nets to check for any weight. Nothing. Well... then he just wasn't going to leave till something came into his net then! He'll show that jerk!
Night soon fell, the thin sheet barely calmed his chattering teeth, but his hot head was more than enough to keep him in place. Perhaps a different spot would be better, he huffed, spying the moon glimmer upon the surface of the river. Slowly, he rowed and cast his nets into the shimmering waters before sitting back on his haunches and drifting off to the fall's murmur.
*Tug, tug.*
Kaiser opened his eyes, the remnants of his dream clinging and yawned, looking around as he licked his cold nose.
*Tug, tug.*
This time Kaiser registered the tug on his ropes and excitedly rushed to begin dragging up his haul. He huffed and panted against the strain. Finally, he cheered to himself, a full net. But the writhing net shoved the boat back and forth with a worrying force, could his little boat take on such a burdened load?
Still, he tugged on, the rope straining against his teeth and paws, and over time the net began to break the surface. Instead of seeing a hundred flapping fish, a meaty fin lashed out at the boat, nearly capsizing it. Shocked, the rope almost slipping from his mouth for a split second, Kaiser laughed bitterly.
Before him, the Big Catch itself flailed and writhed, the calm tension of the lake completely broken as this fish three times Kaiser's size brought its fury down upon his little boat. "... oh fidgets..." Kaiser stated, releasing the rope.
SMASH!
...
It took some time for Kaiser even to be near land; his boat just planks on the water's surface. The water soaked through his coat and weighed him down heavily and he strained to keep wading.
In the distance, laughter could be heard from the bushes and a small, squat creature rolled on the ground pointing at Kaiser swimming to the shore. When it had finally settled, it snapped its fingers and disappeared with one last giggle.
Imps, Kaiser sourly cursed in his head as he spat out one small fish upon the shore and shook his fur, staring out to the now quiet river. Kaiser was soon known to be the most humble wolf in the village from there after.
