GW2 character outfit updates! Yes, my mesmers have two different outfits, their “work clothes” and their “normal clothes”. Why do you have to be so extra, Lorit?
And the two who wouldn’t fit in Tumblr’s photo slots (under the cut because they’ve come out big):
Apacea with her new leggings.
And Gerain with his change of shoulders.

“I may look as pretty as an angel, but I sure as hell ain’t one.” - Yondu Udonta (GotG)
Not that such vulgar vernacular would ever cross the lips of Lorit Chomondeley, Chronomancer, but it works when he’s wearing this Branded Wing Backpack and Glider Combo.
After facing the ignominy of being made to run the Mad King’s Clock Tower over and over again with nary a stitch on save his underwear and a pair of boots - and succeeding - I thought that he deserved something that I’ve been eyeing for him for a while now. And as you can see, it matches his outfit rather well.
Who knows, perhaps he really is a dragon in disguise.

Some new looks and some new people. Eventually I need to add these to my GW2 character page.

Mucking about with outfits again. Tumblr, why do you cut off their heads? I odn’t want to make this an unreasonably long post.

This is mostly for my own reference and musing, but I thought some might be interested to see where my GW2 characters will be going come Path of Fire; elite-specialisation wise, anyway. Some of them have a really good in-character reasoning for it, while others are ... far less so.
So, to go in pictorial order:
1. Necromancers
Apacea has always been a bit of a rebel. Not to the detriment of the Sylvari, but she’s always done her own thing. She is, you may notice, cactus-based, with her spiky head and lack of greenery. She is a fighter, but loves her friends and would do anything she could to help them. She seems a good choice to manipulate sand and to punish those who would hurt those she cares about, so she’s going to become a Scourge.
Xoqqi on the other hand has long been interested in the dead and how to harness death magic - being an Asura means that she has always thought herself better than any of lesser intelligence and has always been a bit arrogant. Well, a lot, actually. And as I just want to see her dragging around that massive greatsword, she’s going to be a Reaper.
2. Rangers
Sarin Beresford is a Norn, and has always believed int he strength of Bear to keep her going and get her through difficult times. She has a bear companion she raised from a cub - Bjarn - and they have traversed Tyria together in their adventures. She has a deep affinity for animals, and will in time become a Soulbeast.
Kerilsa however is less determined. She’s more a wanderer who happens to know how to get along with animals, and has lived a long time upon the land, learning about its energies and power. She is of the Cycle of Night, and so has an affinity with the moon - she will make a good Druid.
3. Engineers
Ranuncla has for a long time sought to find a way to combine the more typical technologies of the Charr and Humans to that of the Sylvari, interweaving nature and tech to the betterment of both. With Holosmithing she believes she can do that, using light to create all new wonders.
Prahris Clawstrike however has always been one who liked to sink her claws into things, to bash and explode her way through to her goals. She’s a scrapper at heart, and now will become a Scrapper in specialisation, belting enemies with her bloody great wrench before going back to fixing or dismantling whatever she was doing before.
4. Thieves
Sjoukje Diesen is going to be a Daredevil. For a Norn she is lithe and trim, and has always been one to find herself in the middle of a fight, though she’s also fairly adept at talking her way out of bad situations as well. She and her staff will go far, as she’s always been something of an acrobat. Or, as you will, a catburglar when necessary.
pod!Gerain however... I’ve never been comfortable with him as a Thief. The only reason he was rolled as a Thief in the first place was because I didn’t have one and didn’t want him to be constrained in the “warrior” role his SWTOR counterpart had been trained in. However I’ve regretted that choice for a long time, as I never really saw him as wanting to steal anything except perhaps the odd trinket from the oblivious and of course kisses from his love. But now that Deadeye is coming in with its long range sniping ability using rifles and having the Steal ability completely replaced, maybe now, finally, he can be settled in my mind as the Tareg’erai’nuruodo AU as he was intended to be.
That’s it for now. I’m still debating as to which of my Mesmers (Lorit Chomondeley and Pyrif) will end up the Mirage (Lorit, you peacock, those mirrors are for magic use, not... oh, never mind), and pondering on my Elementalists (Toloma and the new Enla Kaivas), while I don’t see Vertoc becoming a Firebrand. He was very content being the Dragonhunter he is, so I may just have to roll another new character for that sometime.

Xoqqi, the Tiny Spook, now has a sword that she drags around on the ground reflects her awesomeness as a Reaper.
I keep saying it, but I can’t see myself getting the last two Ascended weapons any time soon. But perhaps that will change when I find yet another character that will fit the specialisation, like so many of these have.
Apacea will be my Scourge, Teudila is going for the new Renegade, Pyrif is going to be a Mirage (pls give me a more musically based specialisation for him sometime plzkthx) while Lorit Chomondeley will take up the Chronomancer’s mantle. Sjoukje is already a fully trained Daredevil, so Gerain is free to learn his Deadeye ability when it becomes available.
I’m tired, my head hurts and GW2 decided to die. I am for bed - but at least this got done before it keeled over.
