They both got back to the Eve Castle with the kid. Kay was sure he wasn’t a nightmare and leaving him there wasn’t an option so the best they could do was asking what to do with the kid. They walked for some minutes and when the arrived, they knock the door two times before going inside. 

“ You said you have an important question...” Vincent looked at Kay first but then his attention went to the kid.

“Yes, Sir” Kay replied “we found this kid in the south part of the Kingdom, he was there alone and we couldn’t find any sign that someone was there with him”

“He was with a Nighthound” Soldeus add “ then the creature just left and he got close the get the kid, he is not hurt for what we can see”

“We were thinking about trying to find his parents around in the town, but to me, he doesn't look like a nightmare so we decided to come to ask you what we should do with him?”

“He is not a nightmare, he is a Haros” vincent looked at the kid again, it was easy to see he wasn’t comfortable with the kid presence “the best you can do is take him back where you found him, Haros are able to hide their presence to any other creature so even if his parents are around you wouldn’t be able to find them”

“But sir, it’s just a kid, if we take him back he could be in danger” 

“I agreed with Soldeus, Sir, we can’t leave him there to die”

“I’m aware that you both don’t know much about the Haros, but believe me when I say that’s the best you can do”

“What are you guys talking...Oh my god! Is that your guys' baby?!”Jekyll was coming from the living room, her calm turns into the excitement the moment she saw the little kid”

“NO” Kay replied immediately “He is not our kid! Don’t say that, please, Miss” he looked down and Soldeus just smile at him, being close to him he could notice Kay was blushing.

“We found him in the south part fo the kingdom, Jekyll” Soldeus explain while Kay was trying to regain his formality. “But we are gonna take him back because that’s our order”

“Wait, you can leave a kid alone! We could die or something could happened”

“Jekyll” Vincent interrupt her “ You haven't noticed what is he? We can’t keep him here, we have enough with the Spirit better don’t mess up with the Haros too”

“Aww, but Vince! He is just a little kid! if his parents come looking for him it’s better if we give him back safe instead that they finding a corpse because he decided not to help.”

“Je..”

“He stays! He is too cute to let him go” she got close and grab the kid from Soldeus’s arms “You will be fine small one! It's better to keep you safe in case your parents come for you”

“So he is gonna stay with you?” Kay asked.

“Yes! I’ll take care of him, it’s just a baby, how hard can it be?” she smiled to the kid at the moment she put him on the floor.

Lorenn Soldeus for @northernlightz Bachelor Challenge

Soldeus is an Ancient Dragon trapped in hell by the fates of love. His story is a long one, and full of heartbreak. 

After wooing a king’s daughter with his poetry, said king hired a witch to lure Soldeus to her trap and banish the dragon to depths of Hell, where he has been trapped for quite the millennia. As the witch took the shape of the woman Soldeus loved, he is convinced he was betrayed by his lover.

He has been able to woo and steal several Incubi and Succubi to serve him from one of the princes of Hell who does not find this amusing. But his demons are not that great of a company and Soldeus keeps to himself.

He heard from one of the Incubi that a princess of hell is looking for a prince. As Soldeus is quite lonely and a helpless romantic he decided to try and woo her heart.

Curiosities about Soldeus:

- Like all dragons, if he can get away walking around naked, he will;

- He writes shity smutty poetry;

- He can summon fires from hell;

- Soldeus is actually the name of the Eye of the Nebula that gave birth to Soldeus and his siblings, all which go by the same name, but different first names;

- Like all Dragons, to Soldeus sex is good fun, but a kiss is sacred. He has literally only kissed one person his whole life, but has laid with many;

- Soldeus’ wings are retractable.

“Wait! That’s a...” Soldeus’s words were suddenly interrupted by Kay, who put his hand in his mouth.

“Shhh, don’t talk too loud, we can put in risk that kid” he whispered a little nervous, removing his hand. 

“Shouldn’t we try to help him?” He asked in a low voice “What if that thing it’s trying to eat him?!”

“ Believe me, if that thing wanted to eat that kid it would have done it already” he was looking at the creature and the kid, surprised by the fact that the kid was petting and hugging the creature as if was a dog and the creature was letting the kid doing it without showing any aggressive sign. 

“Then what do we do? We can’t leave him there, he could be the son of someone in the town, what if their parents are looking for him?”

“I know, but if we get close that thing can attack the kid or attack us and even if we can kill it... We have to think in another way to get close. The kid doesn’t look hurt, that’s a relief”

While they were thinking on a way to get closer they noticed that, after pushing the kid with its head, the nighthound turnaround and started walking away from him, stopping once just to look back, almost like it was a goodbye to the child who was just standing in the same place. He wasn’t smiling anymore, he looked more confused. The creature started walking again, getting away and disappearing in the shadow of the tree that was close.

“Ok, let’s go” Kay ran to the kid’s direction.

“E-ey! How do you know that thing it’s completely gone?

“I’m not sure” he replied back without stop running, with Soldeus behind him “but it’s our better chance”

They both got close to the little kid who just looked at them with curiosity.

“Hey little boy” Kay stopped running when he was getting close, trying not to scare him “What are you doing here all by yourself? “ he asked, smiling to the kid who just moves his head, clearly more confused.

“I’m glad he looks fine. You think we can find his parents?”

“Come here, let me hug you” Kay got close and extended his arms to grab the little kid “You are very friendly, don’t you?” he smiled to the kid before turning to Soldeus “He is not a Nightmare, I’m pretty sure his parents aren’t in this kingdom”

“How you know that?” he asked looking at the kid “What makes him different?”

“His eyes” he replied while taking another look to the kid who was looking and them both before start playing with Kay’s uniform’s buttons “All nightmares have purple eyes, different shades of purple but still purple”

“But you don’t have purple eyes and you are a nightmare,” Soldeus noticed while looking at Kay’s eyes who immediately turn around. 

“I have them” he was trying to take the kid’s hands off his uniform “I just use magic to change it, most nightmares can’t do it and kids are not an exception, they don’t have magic until they are teens and changing appearance it’s a high level magic that most common nightmares never learn”

“It’s the first time you tell me this...”

“Is not important, I have my reasons” he kindly smiled to Soldeus like asking him to change the subject “Now let’s go back if he is not a nightmare we will have to ask our superiors what to do with him”.

“Yeah, let’s go back before that thing come back and discover we just stole its food”

They were almost done with the patrol, there was one place more to check before they could return to the base, give their report and then go back home. 

“Last site and we are done, what you want to do after?” Soldeus asked Kay who was walking behind him, looking around and trying to not fall asleep of boredom “I don’t think you will tolerate staying at home another day”.

“No, I’m sick of being home, to be honest. Why don’t we go to eat outside? I’ll give you permission to avoid your training today just to get out of here for a while” he replied before stopping “Ey, we are almost done, keep walking”.

“What is that?” he asked in a whisper.

“What?” He followed Soldeus’s sight until he discovers what had got his attention “Wow, have been many years since I saw one, It’s really weird to find them especially on daylight”

“And that is?” Soldeus looked at him, waiting for a response.

“It’s a Nighthound, I can tell by its horns and the weird fur, any other animal in the kingdom look like this” he explains without taking his attention off the animal.

“I think that’s the first time you mention that word. Would you mind explain?”

“Nighthound, it’s a dumb word people made up to call the nightmare version of hellhounds. Long-time ago, people, mostly humans, used to be too afraid of hellhounds and being dragged to hell so they start having nightmares and as you know, many of the things that exist here are made by people all over the dimensions as a representation of their fears. Those ones aren’t different”

“Gabriel’s real form looks a lot different than this”

“Yes, as I said, they are just how people imagine it a long time ago. They are not even close to our King’s real form and don’t have their powers neither, Nighthounds can find anything but they can’t drag souls to hell or anything like that, they are just excellent hunters. Nowadays it’s really difficult to see them around, normally the live in the outside part of the kingdom, in the wilderness. They aren’t aggressive if you don’t get in their territory our close to their food”.

“And what is doing inside the barrier? I know animals can come and go freely from  but you say these guys doesn’t like being close so... what brought it here?”

“I have no clue but we should just leave it alone and go...”

“ Wait, there is something more there, I don’t know what it is but I'm sure it is what has its attention.”

“Hmm, you are right...”

Mr. Hyde: Next one is Soldeus. Another dragon in the water.

Ms. Jekyll: He didn’t enjoy the ride~

Mr. Hyde: Not so much but he was doing fine until he decided to suddenly stop.

Ms. Jekyll: Oh yes, that killed his record...

Mr. Hyde: At the end, he looked relieved that he was able to finish at least.

Ms. Jekyll: Yes, it's better to be outside than die in the water.

Mr. Hyde: I was hoping that happen today.

Ms. Jekyll: ...

Mr. Hyde: Too soon?

Ms. Jekyll: Too soon.

Mr. Hyde: Last one was mister hellhound.

Ms. Jekyll: He definitely didn’t enjoy all this. He didn’t even get close until he was the only one left.

Mr. Hyde: He wasn’t even going to jump on the water.

Ms. Jekyll: It’s normal doesn’t it? Hellhound = hell = fire = No water please?

Mr. Hyde: Yeah, but look the best part, he wanted to go out so bad that he completes these trial with a good record.

Ms. Jekyll: When you are doing something you don’t like you just want to do it fast.

Mr. Hyde: Like you with your work?

Ms. Jekyll: Yes... I MEAN NO! I like my work!

Mr. Hyde: Anyway, they are done, we will talk with our Queen about the results.

I - Elimination Day 

Ms. Jekyll: The day of the elimination all of them woke up so early and were trying to stuff they liked or at least do something that keeps them distracted for what was gonna happen that day.

Vincent: Soldeus for some reason decided to eat breakfast, swim a little and then just wash his clothes. 

Ms. Jekyll: Gabriel, Avalon, and Zhalila were in the living room most part of the day. Avalon was playing chess with Gabriel, who crushed her more than once and Zhalila was there, talking with Avalon. I think that’s why she lost, she was distrated~ 

Mr. Hyde: Beryl was watching television and once our Queen was back from our meeting she just to close to talk with her for the rest of the day. I’m not sure what were they talking to, but at least kept her and our Queen distracted from was coming later.

Ross: I hope you like this place.

Soldeus. it’s completely different to the places around the castle...

Ross: Yes, it is still part of the Nightmare Kingdom but this mixed with another dimension, that’s why it looks so... alive.

Soldeus: It’s amazing how different places can mix and make something beautiful.

Ross: Yes, I love this place, it's so peaceful.

Soldeus: There’s no one around. How did you find this place?

Ross: I used to hide here from my tutors and parents when I didn’t want to have a class or I was tired to keep going.

Soldeus: You are the type of girl who skips classes then.

Ross: Haha, yeah, kinda. Since I was a child I spend most of my days inside the castle that’s why I don’t know anything out of this place.

Soldeus: Your parents didn't let you go out?!

Ross: No, I was born just to be educated and take their place as Queen, not to be a happy child. 

Soldeus: That’s....sad.

Ross: Yeah I know... Let’s take a walk! Do you want to look around?

Soldeus: Sure!

Soldeus: Flowers here have more bright colors.

Ross: Yes, I don’t know why but I love how they look with the weird light that shines here.

Soldeus: This is for you, Ross.

Ross: Aw, thank you, Soldeus.

Soldeus: I’m happy I got another opportunity to go out with you.

Ross: I’m happy too, it’s really nice to talk to you.

Soldeus: How are you doing?

Ross: I got nothing, I feel like something is there but once I pull it out there's nothing...

Soldeus: You need to be more patience... Wait!

Ross: Got something?

Soldeus: Yes! This is a weird looking fish.

Ross: Oh, it's pretty! but just by looking its colors I can promise you that it's poisonous.

Soldeus: Are you sure? Then should I let it go?

 Ross: Yes, it's better if you let it go.

Soldeus: Fine, goodbye buddy.

Soldeus: Thank you for the date, it was really fun.

Ross. I’m glad you liked this place. It is one of my favorite places in here and I wanted to show it to someone.

Soldeus: Then thank you for showing to me.

Ross: Let’s go back, the others are waiting for us!

Soldeus: Let’s go home, my lady.

Mr. Hyde: they work fast, that’s for sure.

Ms: Jekyll: Can you tell Yōkai to stay away from Vincent?

Mr. Hyde: That’s not my problem, go tell it yourself.

Mr. Hyde: Look, Avalon and Gabriel al already done with the third one.

Ms. Jekyll: Woot! Just one more to go, guys! Who you think would win?

Mr. Hyde: I'm not sure, they both are working really fast despite the rain.

Vincent: I'll leave this to you two, I'll go back to the castle to see how is Beryl.

Mr. Hyde: FIne by me.

Ms. Jekyll. Sure! This is not gonna take long, they are doing an excellent job!

Vincent: I’ll see you later then.

Ms. Jekyll: Soldeus ios finally done with the third one, now to the last one Soldeus!

Mr. Hyde: Well, I think we have a winner, Gabriel it’s already done with the four fridges.

Ms. Jekyll: Damn, that boy is fast!

Mr: Hyde. Now to wait for the last two.

Soldeus: It’s a pleasure to meet you, my lady. My name is Lorenn Soldeus.

Rossdelia: Nice to meet you, sir. How is your night going so far?

Soldeus: It’s going very well, the food, the music, but I would like one thing if I can ask you.

Rossdelia: Sure, tell me.

Soldeus: I would like to dance with you.

Rossdelia: Oh, that’s something I can do right now.

Rossdelia: You are a dragon too, right? Have you talked with Beryl?

Soldeus: She is a nice person, very social.

Rossdelia: There are so many differences between your world and hers?

Soldeus: We didn’t talk a lot about it, but looks like there is plenty.

Rossdelia: There are many dimensions, I'm not surprise your worlds are so different. So Jekyll told me you were trapped in hell, why?

Soldeus: I got betrayed for someone I loved and got trapped for her in hell, for a long time.

Rossdelia: That’s doesn’t sound right. I don’t like that kind of people, I could say that’s one thing I don't want. At least, you are free now.

Soldeus: We can say that.

Rossdelia: You know how to dance, I like that.

Soldeus: I could dance with you all night, my lady, but I’m afraid that there is someone more who want to take the ballroom with you.

Rossdelia: Oh, that’s right, at least, let’s finish this song.

@shahkiertai It cost me a while to make them talk, he didn’t want to get close to her, I think he was scared:C I had to make her go talk to him and after that, they do it by themselves :D

Ms. Jekyll: and the first one to give up is Beryl! How is that possible?

Vincent: She didn’t fall during practice which means that she spends all her strength at that moment.

Ms. Jekyll: You are right, too bad.

Vincent: Well mister hellhound stop already.

Ms. Jekyll: Oh he just fell, you think he is ok?

Vincent: I'm sure he is just tired. Even if the were the first to stop they got a nice score. I'm impressed.

Ms. Jekyll: Good thing this doesn’t count for the elimination tomorrow.

Vincent: They don’t know it, so don’t say it.

Ms. Jekyll: There’s go Soldeus. Both dragons and the hellhound are down.

Vincent: This is just interesting, the only ones left are the mermaids.

Ms. Jekyll: for creatures that aren’t used to walk, they are doing great.

Vincent: If I can say, I think Zhalila is more used to her legs than Avalon.

Ms: Jekyll: I have never seen Zhalila’s mermaids form.

Vincent: I don’t she have one, I think she just has mermaid skills.

Ms. Jekyll: That gives her an advantage over Avalon.
