Lore on the fan kids of Kazamei and Pretty

Okay, well... Since it's unsurely possible for a human and Bomber-Cyborg to have offspring like regular humans do. At least I say, Neo was born with his father's attributes and Lyra was born with her mother's attributes, as for both Neo and Lyra, they are very untrained to use bombs since they're toddlers and can't use those special cartridges because they're part human. Neo's first word was "blep" and Lyra's first word was "Bonbonman".

( and cause I really like listening to people rave about their ocs)

I have an absurd amount of splatoon ocs… they just keep showing up I don’t know how it happens.

This is going to be very long, so I will apologize in advance for the mountain of text you are about to be bombarded with. I am very happy you’ve asked this though!

Okay so I have two different universes so far in which my splatoon ocs exist, each one centering around a different fanfic of mine. The first one is based around Watch the Sky With You, and the second one is based around An LED Light at the End of the Tunnel. I’m going to break this post into two parts to cover the two different universes :)

This is long so I’m going to put a cut here. Look below it for the wall of text! 

**** Watch the Sky With You

The ocs in this universe are very centered around shipping, and the vast majority of them are based around oc x canon ships. 

First up there’s my agent ocs, which have the very creative names of Captain (she/her), Four (she/they), Eight (he/him), and Neo 3 (it/its). This storyline mainly centers around Four, who gets greyscaled to become Parallel Canon in the Memverse and then as they regain their memories they gradually fall in love with Acht.

In addition to this we’ve got ocs to go along with basically every canon character. I haven’t developed these guys very much but they do all have a tiny bit of lore. Also all the ships have children, which I will cover as well.

First up is Elita (she/her), nicknamed Pepper. She is a former elite octoling and in love with Callie! The two of them have a child named Lyra (she/they) who is probably the most responsible out of any of my ocs despite being one of the youngest.

Shina (she/her) is my next oc in the lineup. She is one of Four’s many aunts and in love with Marie. She also is a former assassin, but that doesn’t get brought up much. Her and Marie have a child named Cassie (she/her), who directly parallels Lyra in being the most chaotic of the group.

Birch (they/them) is next, another one of Four’s aunts, and is in love with Shiver. They tend to be kind of shark-like in their tendencies, which makes them perfect for Shiver. They have an adopted child named Kai (they/them) who they had adopted before meeting Shiver, and then with Shiver they have twins named Megan (she/her) and Don (he/him).

Elle (she/her) comes next, with probably some of the most convoluted lore out of all of them. She is the result of Four being cloned in the Memverse, and was originally one of the Parallel Canon bots (or maybe the main one? idk I never really figured that part out). She gained sentience and really wanted to be a real inkling, so Marina made a robot body for her and allowed her to live outside the Memverse. She is in love with Frye, and they have a robot child named Pixel (they/them).

Acht and Four have a child named Gibbous (he/him) who is just a little ball of energy and inhertied a little bit of both Acht’s sanitization and Four’s greyscaling.

Pearl and Marina also have a kid together in my universe, named Kaito (he/they). He and Gibbous both have a crush on each other.

Captain, Eight, and Big Man are all in a QPR, and they have a child named Sage (he/she/they) that is kind of a mix of inkling, octoling, and manta ray (I have completely ignored biology).

Also Four has two moms named Nancy (she/her) and Alex (she/her). They don’t get brought up a lot but they do exist.

An LED Light at the End of the Tunnel

These ocs are way more developed, and I’m kind of more proud of these ones (though that kind of feels like having a favorite child). This particular set is near polar opposites to my previous one, meaning there are no ships in this one at all, and it is much more focused on character lore and development.

The main character of this story is Itys (they/them), who is also Agent 4. They have every mental illness. They were left alone in Octo Canyon to look after Octavio while the rest of the NSS went to Splatsville. As the years went on (yes, years), they grew lonelier and lonelier, and their already poor mental health declined even more. Octavio offered them a way out: the hypnoshades. They refused for a long time, but they eventually snapped, and they agreed to put them on. Itys joins up with the Octarians, and during that time they meet four Octarians in particular.

Nell (she/her) is one of these octarians, being the leader of this particular platoon. She’s on the bossier side, and can sometimes be a little mean, but she does genuinely care about those around her. She has a really cool storyline in the fic, but I don’t want to spoil anything!

Phal (he/him) is the next of the octarians, being another member of the platoon and an absolute scaredy-cat. He’s immesnely physically strong, but he is also scared of his own shadow.

Constantly near Phal is Spore (it/its), a tiny little Octotrooper that never grew to its full size. It speaks in gargles and burps, and kind of just sits around being cute.

Lastly we have Atra (they/them), who is the technician of the group. They’re a master at both hardware and software, but the moment a weapon is put in their hands they have no idea what to do. They can design weapons all day long, but they cannot for the life of them actually use one.

On top of those Octarians, I also have NSS ocs for this universe! 

Juno (she/her) is Captain, and is trying her best when it comes to running the New Squidbeak Splatoon. She wants to be a good leader, but at the same time she, like the rest of the NSS, can be a bit forgetful when faced with a large problem, which is partially what contributed to Itys being left alone in Octo Canyon.

Eight (it/its), who has no memory of its real name, is simply trying to keep the peace. It wants to enjoy life on the surface, but at the same time it has been caught up in the drama of agent life, and now it just wants to find a way to make everyone happy.

Janus (fae/faer) is the newest adition to the NSS, being Neo 3. Fae is accompanied by faer salmonid, Lil’ Buddy (he/it), and is mainly focused on not dying while trying to navigate whatever conspiracy theory fae has been dragged into.

I’m assuming this is about the pride oc asks so here we go

1. What's your oc's gender identity? What's their relationship to their gender?

Mip is trans feminine!

2. What's your oc's orientation? (Romantic/sexual/platonic alterous ect) Do they have opinions about it?

Mip’s a lesbian. She doesn’t really have any opinions on it Mip just thinks women are pretty.

3. How did your oc discover themself? Did something cause them to question, or did they always know?

Mip didn’t always know. It’s just when she heard what Trans Feminine was she was like, “Oh, that’s how I feel!” And just went on with life now knowing its identity.

4. Is your oc's environment supportive about their identity? How does this impact them?

Yeah! They’re an alien in space. Homophobia and transphobia doesn’t really exist in any species other than humans. None of the alien characters in the story are queerphobic in any way. It doesn’t really impact Mip in any way as being queer isn’t really seen as anything different.

5. How did you figure out your oc's identity?

I just wanted to make a lesbian love story about an alien and an astronaut and thought “but what if they were t4t?”

6. How does your oc feel about labels? Theirs, or in general?

It doesn’t really have opinions on labels. She has labels and it uses them when it needs to, but she doesn’t really have an opinion on labels other than they exist.

7. Is there something that could cause your oc to question their identity? What?

No not really. Once Mip heard was trans fem was, she knew that’s what she was and continued on in life without ever questioning it again. She’s always know she’s a lesbian because it has always been attracted to women.

8. Have they had struggles with their identity, be it due to internal or external reasons?

Nope.

9. Are there cultural or lore specific aspects to their identity? If applicable, does their species affect it?

No not really that I can think of. She’s an alien so the labels she uses are different than the labels we use on earth, but the labels she uses are the alien equivalents to lesbian and trans fem for her species.

10. Does your oc celebrate Pride? How?

Pride month isn’t really a thing in space. There’s never been any queer phobia so there was never a need for a pride month. Also time is different where Mip lives compared to earth because it’s in a different solar system. But if Luna introduced her to Pride Mip would be more than happy to celebrate!

11. Is your oc open about their identity? Are they more lowkey or more blunt about it? Why or why not?

Yeah she’s pretty open. Everyone is. There isn’t a reason for any of the aliens in space to hide their identities.

12. Does/did your oc ever wish they could change the way they are? Why? If it's in the past, how did they get over the feeling? (this can be about internalized homo/transphobia)

No.

13. Would your oc be open to a poly relationship? Why or why not?

yeah. She doesn’t really care how many people she or her partner(s) are with just as long as she gets to be with the people she loves.

Yes!! I do!! The first ones that come to mind are my oc Callisto Mars from my oc story The Secrets of the Mars Family, the main antagonist from the story Mip and Luna are from, as well as my two ocs Mai and Lu from my new oc story that I haven’t posted about yet.

15. Do any of your ocs use neopronouns? Which ones?

I can’t really think of any ocs of mine who use neos but I know I have or would have some. I know my oc Lyra Mars and Mai Pham use any pronouns (which includes neos)

16. Did you ever change an oc's identity when they were already established? Why?

Yeah. Sometimes I just decided I wanted to change it. I was basically like “but what if they were MORE queer?”

17. Do you share identity with any of your ocs? Which ones?

None of my ocs are Enderhoard but I have plenty of aroace ocs!

18. Do you prefer to give your ocs specific labels, or keep it unspecified? Why? If applicable, do you change their labels depending on circumstance?

sometimes I have specific labels in mind while other times I don’t have anything specific in mind, I just know they’re queer.

19. Do you have preferences about depicting homo/transphobia in your stories? What, and why? Does it vary by story?

I don’t really like writing queer phobia. It just sorta depends what story it is and whether that’s something any of the characters would do or if it would be a big source of conflict in the story, as well as where and when the story takes place.

That's right. I've done... *everything* so now we may start writing some headcanons that are updated with the

of-fish-al lore.

She is 26 years old (Born on March 24th)

History

Chelsea was raised in a town called Squidvally.

The last name Ann-Monee was her mother's

The last name Atlerdonn was her father's

They grew up as neighbor to Daisy, who was her best friend for the longest time.

for a while Chelsea was in love with Daisy. Little did she know the feeling was mutual.

Chelsea fled her home town at the age of 7. Leaving everything she had behind.

For a while she was wandering the streets.

She was eventually found in the outskirts of Calamari County, where she was 'adopted' why a family of Inklings and suddenly had 3 siblings.

Because the family seemed to be with quite the history she started to pick up a bit of Octarian. It was very basic at that point but was a good secretive way to communicate with her siblings without getting caught.

The Octarian Language was also taught at the school she went to. though never really went too far into it.

Calamari County was where she met Blue who was a student at the school she went to. They started dating when she turned was 12.

About 3 months before Chelsea turned 15, She got an apartment around Inkopolis Plaza and decided to share it with Blue. they split the bills 25-75. Because Blue was a little older and could earn more money.

Within the year that they lived together they were on and off the whole time. Eventually ending in a fight that got Chelsea kicked out.

When all the power disappeared from all of Inkopolis, She found a panicked old man in a sewer grate. She approached it, only for the old man to dip back in.

She followed him in, got hired as Agent 3 of the New Squidbeak Splatoon.

Life With the Squidbeak - Splatoon 1

Being in a secret squad that were tasked to save Inkopolis from the Octarians, Agent 3 picked up a lot of artifacts of the past. This triggered her love for History.

Thanks to the fact that she often found herself in enemy terratory, she was surprised to find out that the Octolings and other Octarians spoke a whole different language. Interested in the language, she noted the sentences they were saying to eachother and also the emotion it seemed to be received with.

On one mission to find a zapfish, she had been ambushed by a squad of Octolings who seemed to be speaking Inklish. She found this astounding.

On said mission she started to actually learn Octarian. This lasted 2 days. On this mission she met an Octoling called Lyra, who started to teach her Octarian on a native level.

When returning to the base she had braught Lyra with her, wanting to hang out with her more.

This was also around the time when Chelsea found out she was either Bisexual or Lesbian, she was VERY into Lyra.

She found a place where Lyra could hide but after one mission she had disappeared.

This was also around the time when Cap'n Cuttlefish was squidnapped. Chelsea, putting 2and2 together just figured that the hypnosis had reactivated and cut her losses.

Around this time after hearing that Cap'n was squidnapped she took the headpiece he had dropped and installed it into her own headset.

soon after that she 'met' Agent 1 and 2. who started to guide her through the rest of her missions.

*the rest follows the story line of splatoon 1's hero mode.

When returning back to the plaza she had another massive fight with Blue. a fight broke out, seen by all the SquidKids in the square.

She was kicked out of Inkopolis Plaza.

Under the shadow of the night she sneaked back into the plaza and went into the sewer grate once more. Guarding the camp 24/7 since she couldn't much else.

This was also when she met Lyra again. Hanging out again and giving her a normal place to sleep when no one else was at the camp.

After a year or so, Chelsea and the other agents started to bond, Pretty much having been added to yet another Family. being what seemed to be a 'Grandchild' to Cap'n

With some knowledge of the weaponry she had been using she managed to break off the limiter, hacking the weapon she was using into being able to use anything she needed.

This was also when she was given the Cape, which she first used as a scarf as winter hit.

In one mission Cap'n and Chelsea came across an Octoling who seemed to have ill intentions.

This leads to the events of the Octo Expansion.

Life With the Squidbeak - Splatoon 2 & Octo Expansion

Inside of the NILS facility, Chelsea had woken up in the area of what seemed to be an examination room, in some glowing blue liquid with the glass being broken.

It seemed that where ever she were, it was smart is she didn't stay there.

Fleeing through the broken glass she started exploring the NILS facility.

In one of the rooms she had found a device that seemed to be some kind of communication device. strapping it to herself to learn about the place she was in as she walked.

at one point she was swarmed by the sanitized Octolings.

Around this time the Device she had picked up started picking up a distress call.

Escaping from the Sanitized, which she already escaped on the edge of life.

Using the last bit of her stamina (because adrenaline is one hell of a drug) she rushed to the distress call's coordinates. saw a dead end. Jumped off the edge with a leap of faith. Crashing through the thin glassy floor, into the collection of Thangs which made up the blender, breaking it open.

after landing, and looking to make sure the people inside were stable and safe, She collapsed from exhaustion.

In the moments that followed, Tartar took control of Chelsea's mind, Squidnapping Cap'n Cuttlefish and hunting down Agent 8.

When she was defeated, she passed out again, Not moving and breathing heavily.

She woke up again after the final fight that Agent 8 had pulled off.

She had gotten a massive scar over her eye and the majority of her tentacles of sanitized ink burning on it for that time she was hijacked.

With the news that Callie and Marie had moved Cuttlefish Cabin to Octo Canyon; Cap'n Cuttlefish and Agent 8 went to the new location.

Chelsea went back to Octo Valley to tell the Octarians about the new place of freedom for all, being Inkopolis Square.

After all of that, she packed all of the things she had from the Valley's Cabin and made her way to Inkopolis square, The long way around.

Chelsea left behind a note in Octarian at the now abandoned Cabin in the hope to possibly reconnect with Lyra.

Arriving in Inkopolis Square after a long journey, Chelsea encountered Blue yet again. With Chelsea now knowing how to keep her composure and not be too rash, there's relatively nothing going on. She waits until the veil of night shows itself as she went down the oh so familiar sewer grate.

Arriving in Octo Canyon there was not a lot going on there. It was just Marie there.

They caught up for a while until eventually also Cap'n Cuttlefish and Callie joined. Agent 8, now given the name Aaron had departed to explore around Inkopolis and the Canyon.

After a while there the next morning rolled around. Wanting to unwind from a long trip they decided that maybe it would be a good idea to hop in some familiarity and play some Turf Wars.

She was declined access with her weapon because the detector went off, seeing that 1, It was using a now Illigal Special and 2, that the limiter had been removed.

The trusty hero shot she had been using from day one had been destroyed. delaying her 'unwinding session'

This whole charade was noticed by a rather small Inkling prompting her to have a chat with Chelsea, and treat her to a new weapon.

The weapon she decided on was the Splatbrella, but upon seeing blueprints for a yellow and black version of it, she requested Sheldon make that one.

The smaller Inkling didn't mind and payed for her new weapon

They went into the lobby together and were put on opposing teams.

With Chelsea's team winning the round the Inkling and her walked out of the lobby and for the time being parted ways.

Later in the day Chelsea went back through the sewer grate. This was noticed by the small Inkling who set chase to stop them.

Upon arriving Chelsea was held at dual gunpoint by the Smaller Inkling.

Marie intervened and Introduced Chelsea as Agent 3. Chelsea was then introduced to the smaller Inkling as Agent 4.

A small argument between Marie and Chelsea broke out. Chelsea being scared of being replaced, Did not take too kindly to an Agent 4.

Chelsea had become a bit distant to the rest of the team until tasked to go on a mission with Agent 4.

Reluctantly they both went. In the middle of it something happend that caused an argument to break out between the two. It was mostly Chelsea that forgot about the fact that she was using her Brella now, not the hero shot.

Agent 4, prompted by frustration caused by Chelsea flipped out at her. Telling her a bit of a story of how her life was going. All going back to the sentence

"AND HAVING TO DEAL WITH ALL OF THIS ALONE BECAUSE THE ONE PERSON WHO I COULD CONFIDE IN LEFT ME TO ROT AS A CHILD"

Chelsea, caught out of the blue for good reason, just... dropped to her knees and started crying.

Agent 4, Now feeling a bit guilty for making her cry tried to comfort her to the best of her ability.

Out of all arguments that honestly should've stung a lot more this was the one that broke Chelsea.

"... h-Hey... 3... Don't Cry.... I'm sorry... I just-"

Being cut off by being pulled into a tight hug with Chelsea saying through the tears

"... I'm here now..."

Thus, Realising Agent 4, Daisy, had figured out that she had been working with her childhood friend.

This was all overheard by the people in the Cuttlefish Cabin.

It took a while for them to get back to the cabin, but if feels like for both of them that an incredibly massive weight had been lifted off of their shoulders.

They caught up with eachother over the next several weeks, It being revealed that Daisy had started dating Marie.

Chelsea being hyped for her started to go on a whole spiel about Marie, their history and the time they worked together

Daisy made a remark about Marie thinking she smells.

Chelsea, out of a bit of insecurity checked herself. After Daisy and Chelsea's chat she went to the squid sister's apartment because they were invited to have dinner there.

After dinner they all caught up with eachother, talking about Daisy's missions and all of the incidents of Callie and the Shades, Marie and Daisy went to bed and Cap'n returned to the cabin with Aaron. Leaving Chelsea and Callie behind in the living room.

In these moments they were alone, they started chatting. mostly about the shades. Chelsea offered to keep an eye on Callie as a bodyguard of some sort and a person to talk to in the times she needed it.

Life With the Squidbeak - Pre Splatoon 3

Now regularly tasked to go on missions with Daisy and Aaron and also being Callie's body guard, Chelsea didn't have much to complain about.

One time when Chelsea was on 'Callie Duty' they went to the mall. because Chelsea was wearing stuff that was obviously too small for her but also not wanting to be restricted to only her hero gear.

They went to a store to get Chelsea a nice outfit, on Callie's treat for being there for her.

After a shopping spree, a nice dining experience and just walking around and chatting they went to Callie and Marie's apartment.

With Marie and Daisy having a date night they were once again left alone with eachother. At some point Callie told Chelsea to try on the outfits infront of Callie. but was told to freshen up first.

A little trying on of the outfits later she ended in her chill clothes with a big fluffy hoodie. she flopped onto the couch next to Callie.

They put on a movie and after a while Callie rested her head on Chelsea's shoulder. and Chelsea pulling Callie in closer.

after a while of sitting there, Callie suddenly just looked up trying to get Chelsea's attention and planted a kiss on their lips.

not long after that they started dating. since they enjoyed eachother's company so much.

On one of the dates they had Chelsea was called away to go on a mission. on which they got lost without much direction of how to get back, also losing connection with the headset radio and being off the grid for several months. Never really presumed dead because 'She's dealt with worse'

After a while she came back within Inkopolis. only managing to find contact with Aaron after all of that, who decided to put her into the group chat that he was in with the whole squidbeak splatoon and Off the Hook. leading to this chat.

Rushing to find Callie in 2 locations, she wasnt there. leaving the apartment left. leading to the events of the 'Go get your girl, 3' Ask.
