…Wow. This is really sad for me. I grew up as a huge Abridged Series fan. And not just TeamFourStar’s Dragon Ball Z Abridged and LittleKuriboh’s Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series, all sorts of the old 2008-2012 Abridged Series; back when they were all called the Abridged/Abridging Community and were voicing in other Abridged Series videos. I’ve been a fan of Grant Smith (or, when I knew him, Master WGS) and Kirran Somerlade (LordMoonstone @urmoonstone) since my miserable teenaged days, when Grant used to make Pokemon The Abridged Series…which I admittedly don’t remember much of.
But the two of them, as well as Chris Zito in some videos like his and Taka’s videos on Nekopara and the Persona 4 Golden MEMEstream, joining TeamFourStar’s TFS Gaming channel alongside Lanipator and sometimes other guys was really phenomenal. Back when I used to watch every video in my YouTube Subscriptions (which I think might have been due to my Autism/possible OCD), there were so many days where their Let’s Play and one-off videos, streams and VODs made me laugh my ass off and/or cheer me up after a sad day.
There was all the random assortment of characters they made and played as, such as Dumplstiltskin from their Bloodborne streams, Dumplin from Xenoverse 1 and Puddin from Xenoverse 2, TANTOR, MR. STAKE and SLOWMARA from their Pokemon Soul Silver NUZLOCKE, Inspector Jenks from CONTRADICTION. There were their silly and cheesy running gags they did over and over again, like Lanipator and Kirran pretending to fuse and shouting “We Are Lirran!” and trying to speak in unison to simulate how DBZ Fusion characters speak, saying their uncle is “THE Johnny [insert intellectual property here]” who gives them the hot probably false information on whatever series or franchise they’re playing, Grant and Kirran calling themselves “Two Halves of the World’s Greatest Detective” and Fuck Box Geoff.
I don’t think I’ve felt this sad since Super Best Friends (another channel that I was a huge fan of and grew up watching in my teen years) split up. I know Kirran and Grant are going to carry on making videos but they and Lanipator were TFS Gaming. After having them there for years, it’s sad to see them leave the company. But I just gotta remember the good times and wish Grant, Kirran and Zito the best. Because they made me happy and I want them to be happy because they honestly deserve it.

Reasons to Watch Let’s Plays
1) The People Playing
Overall those playing the games can often make them even more enjoyable, and in such cases that the game is in fact BAD or MEDIOCRE, they can outright save it and turn it into a new source of hilarity. Not to mention there are incredibly skilled gamers out there to watch that can completely change the way you see games being played (Speed Runners: AGDQ/SGDQ).
2) Games can be expensive
Modern games today can be expensive at times, especially with the varying consoles you would need to buy in order to play select versions or exclusives (IGNORING THE PC MASTER RACE *Still, PS4, 3DS and Switch have incredible exclusives). Checking prices of consoles right at this moment (Pre-Tax) - Xbox One: $220; PlayStation 4 (500 GB): $230; Nintendo Switch: $300; 2DS at bare minimum: $80; Decent quality gaming PC/Laptop: $700. This is all before you even get a game to play!
On top of this the average price for games per console (Pre-Tax) - Xbox One/PS4: $40-60; 3DS: $30-40. PC: All the aforementioned (Varied). Along with this unless you buy the physical editions of these there are no refunds for games you do not enjoy - meaning it is indeed a pricey investment for a game you may not even turn out to like at all. Without breaking the bank, one may only buy one, maybe two games a month IF that, since each month has varying qualities of games. But then again, a game’s quality is not in its price, but even so some experiences are commonly that expensive.
3) Best Seen as a Preview
Let’s Plays are free advertising for the game. If the game is long enough and has caught your attention, you may indeed go out and buy it BECAUSE you saw someone else playing it. It’s like the olden times when you’d look over someone’s shoulder as they were playing a game, and they’d give you a try if you were nice; at least, that’s the vibe I get from it.
4) Community
Results may vary, but most viewership groups I’ve been in have been incredibly nice, mainly on Twitch. Along with this I’ve made a few acquaintances and even friends at my local campus because of our shared interests in games and Lets Players. Not to mention some communities aren’t the most friendly, so having someone else to watch rather then face the brunt of potential negativity is nice.
5) Game Difficulty varies
No one is an avid gamer at the start. To pick up a brand new game from the ground up with little experience can be intimidating for anyone, especially those who do not frequently play video games. Watching someone else tackle the controls of a new game can give insight and ease to those who may not have the easiest times with certain genres (Platformers, First Person Shooters, Horror Games, Dark Souls, etc.).
6) It’s Entertainment Either Way
Just like you would watch a movie/show or read a book, it’s just a way to pass the time in the end. Why nitpick others for how they enjoy relaxing?
Anyways, those are some reasons why I watch Let’s Plays. If you find this, please feel free to add some of your own reasons as to why you watch Let’s Plays, and maybe leave some of your favorites too. Some of my favorite people include (Caution, Language):
LordMoonStone (Twitch)
TFS Gaming (YouTube)
Super Gaming Brothers (YouTube)
Popular: Markiplier, Jacksepticeye, Game Grumps, Achievement Hunter

Okay but seriously we gotta figure out if @the-real-takahata101, @nowacking, and Kirran are some rare Pokemon evolution set or a quirky family of voice actors who are wacky and are possibly clones.

Hey guys, I know I said I wasn't going to post here for a while, but something important came up today.
Kirran (LordMoonstone) is an abridger who's been abridging just about as long as I have, and has done projects like Gravitation Abridged, Trunks is History, The Mighty Tree, Cereal Killers, Bustgunner, and lots of other things. He's affiliated with the Box of Danger gang and has voiced in lots of various projects throughout the years, including the role of Seymour in Pokémon 'Bridged episodes 5 and 12.
Kirran is a good friend of mine who I don't get to talk to nearly as often as I'd like, due to life commitments. Kirran is currently stuck at a job where he is treated so awful that his already-difficult depression has driven him close to suicide, to the point where he is currently in a hospital as I'm typing this.
Kirran is one of the nicest people I know. He's one of the funniest people I know. One of the smartest people I know. And I struggle to think of many people who deserve this less than him.
Thank you.
