Change log August 14, 2023:

Knighthood: Generalized previous [Sword Aura Resonance] (hereon abbreviated as [SAR])'s Range increased by 5% per [Sword Aura] Stage to this single passive. Each [Sword Aura Resonance] skill will now have its own unique effect.

Spiral Blast: Elemental resistance decrease is now [SAR]'s exclusive effect. [SAR] Enemies hit will be inflicted with [Spiral Blast] debuff (Elemental resistance decreased by 30 per [SA] stage for 7 seconds.) Final Enhanced effect reverted from Elemental Resistance decrease increase by 20 to MP Usage decreased by 10%.

Impact Smash: Default [Petrified] duration is now [SAR]'s exclusive effect. [SAR] Enemies hit will be inflicted with [Petrified] for 1 second per [SA] Stage. Damage increased from 3735%/1423% > 4482%/1708%.

Double Slash: [SAR] Defense ignore is increased by 5% per [SA] Stage. Default defense ignore is decreased from 70%/20% > 60%/10%.

Wind Slicer: Added a 20%/10% chance to obtain 1 awakening bead when Wind Slicer activates and hits at least one target (Cooldown: 10 seconds).

Armageddon Blade: [PVP] MP recovery when attacking/attacked increased from 50% > 100%.

Windmill: Initial duration is decreased from 1.5 > 1 second. Movement speed increase is moved to being [SAR]'s exclusive effect (5% per [SA] stage for 10 seconds).

Sandstorm: No longer stops at a wall. Trait changed from Gigantic to Haste. All speed decreased effect is changed to physical/magical attack decreased and moved to being exclusively [SAR]'s effect. [SAR] Physical and magical attack decreased by 2.5% per [SA] stage for 10 seconds.

Vertical Slash: [Slashed] debuff is now moved to being [SAR]'s exclusive effect and now scales with [SA] stage (2.5% x [SA] stage).

Counter Patience: [Counter Patience - Retaliation] and [Counter Patience - Perseverance] cannot be overlapped.

Gigantic Slash: [PVP] Wind Slicer activation chance is increased from 20% addition to capped at 100%.

Awakened Will: Lord Knight: Tooltip for [Knight's Resolution] was revised. [Knight's Resolution] is now better described as its own separate buff rather than an effect that gives [Armageddon Blade]/[Torrent of Power] and [Solarius]/[Solar Power] buffs, since those are also their own buffs.

Imperial Crusher: Added [Imperial Crusher] buff which reduces [Wind Slicer]'s cooldown and cooldown reduction reactivation cooldown to [SAR]. [SAR] Gain [Imperial Crusher] buff. (Decrease the aforementioned effect by 5% per [SA] Stage and 1.25 second per [SA] Stage.)

Grand Cross: [Grand Cross] buff is now [SAR]'s exclusive effect and now scales with [SA] stage (2.5% per [SA] stage).

Absolute Judgement: Added tooltip regarding [Knight's Resolution] to reflect the revised tooltip for Awakened Will: Lord Knight.

Persistence: [Persistence] and [Persistence - Endurance]'s names are switched. [Persistence - Endurance] (or the old [Persistence] debuff)'s application method is changed from constant renewal to applying a new [Persistence - Endurance] debuff every 1 second should there be allies that take damage within the same timeframe.

[Mod] Windmill: [Windmill] buff is now exclusive to [SAR]. Scales with [SA] stage (2.5% per [SA] stage for 10s).

[Mod] Sandstorm: [SAR] effect is the same as base Sandstorm.

[Mod] Double Slash: Same change as base Double Slash

Solarius (Stage 1/2/3/4): Gauge equalization is now separated from [Solarius] buff and acts as its own effect. All stages can now equalize WotS gauge.

Change log Aug 27, 2023 (minor change, so it was consolidated with the previous post):

Persistence: Extend the passive effect to also apply on the damage done to Elsword himself. This will activate the debuff even when he's playing alone.

Awakened Will: Lord Knight: Added PVP value for [Knight's Resolution]

Armageddon Blade: [PVP] Damage increased changed from 5% > 10%.

Counter Patience: [Counter Patience - Retaliation] can now overlap.

Sandstorm: Sandstorm speed increased by 50%.

Change log May 20, 2023:

Double Slash - Added a conditional damage increase effect: If the first strike only lands one hit, the second strike's damage will be increased. (+4000% and +650% for PVE and PVP respectively). "Landing one hit" means that the damage number shows up only one time. If you hit an enemy with multiple hitboxes when using the skill, it will not be counted as "one hit".

Warrior Physique - Levels are deleted to reflect my revamped Skill Tree suggestion. The value is also changed as follows:

- (Previously at Lv. 4) Max HP increased from 20%/4% to 30%/5% (PVE/PVP) and Damage reduction increased from 14%/4% to 20%/5% (PVE/PVP).

Counter Patience - Levels are deleted to reflect my revamped Skill Tree suggestion. Debuff duration reduction is now considered as a part of Counter Patience buff and has a definite duration.

Gigantic Slash: Removed Wind Slicer activation cooldown decreased effect (only cooldown reduction activation cooldown remained).

Awakened Will: Lord Knight - [Knight's Protection]'s tooltip is added: [Knight's Protection] cannot overlap and will be renewed with the latest caster's status. The reason for this change is to prevent feedback loop from the new Persistence effect where if multiple KEs use Iron Body at once the damage shared will just keep being mitigated. By limiting Knight's Protection to be activated by only one person, the damage shared will only be transferred to the latest KE who uses Iron Body. In addition, max HP increase effect is changed from being affected only by Stage 1 - 3 to Stage 1 - 4.

Absolute Judgement - Added effects: [Sword Aura Augmentation] skills' effects will be enhanced by 50%. Additionally, allies do not need to be in the aura created by the passive Awakened Will: Lord Knight to receive [Knight's Resolution].

“But Simon,” Lady Elsa’s protest carried into the corridor as I opened the back door, “she has a right to know.”

“But that was the whole point of doing it this way.” Dentin’s reply carried beyond the room. They were both doing nothing to keep their conversation a secret, so I took it as a sign to enter without announcing myself. As I expected, they pulled me right into the midst of their debate.

“Wilard, Dentin wishes to take over responsibility for Owen’s education, and I say he needs to ask Constance first.” Lady Elsa turned in her seat to acknowledge my arrival. “What do you say?” Her dark hair hung about her shoulders in wild disarray, no sign of a wimple anywhere near. Her clear skin glowed with the obvious beauty of a woman healthily pregnant. She was loved and cared for, secure and appreciated, and it showed.

The sight made me wish to see Constance similarly bareheaded and glowing. The realization hit me in the gut like a fist. I wanted Constance to be happy and content, and that was more important than almost everything.

“What mother wouldn’t want her son to have all the opportunities I can provide?” Dentin asked the question in a friendly tone, but his appraising glance between Elsa and me made it clear he had noted my reaction to his wife.

“If you are discussing Constance and Owen, I recommend consulting her. She doesn’t respond well when backed into a corner.” I met the earl’s assessing frown. “As you well know, my lord.”

Dentin leaned back from the table and propped his clasped hands on his head, elbows akimbo. “So you are siding with my wife against me.” Although his body language spoke of a man relaxed, a dangerous edge to his tone sent a warning.

Unsure if he truly meant the threat, I chose to ignore it. “I am expressing my opinion. Whether or not Lady Dentin holds the same opinion, I know not.”

Dentin’s dark eyes narrowed, and he grew tenser without appearing to move. Elsa didn’t make the situation any better by eyeing her husband with a challenging tilt to her chin and a hint of smugness thrown into the mix.

Dentin surged to his feet. I jumped at the sudden movement, but Elsa didn’t even flinch.

“We will be in my book room,” he informed her in a overbearing tone. Then, he crossed to her side and leaned down to plant a long and lingering kiss on her mouth. Elsa responded in kind, at which point I studied the floor like a blushing lad barely grown.

“Coming?” Dentin asked. He stood in the open threshold leading into the front part of the house, exuding the pleased appearance of a man confident in his wife’s affections.

KE:

Impact Smash: Changed from inflicting [Groggy] for 2 seconds to [Petrify] for 4 seconds.

Double Slash: Increased defense ignore from 60% to 75%.

Armageddon Blade: Changed [Torrent of Power] buff from increase all speed by 10% to increase MP recovery from attacking/attacked by 100% (50% in PvP).

Awakened Will: Lord Knight: Increased shared effectiveness of [Knight's Resolution] from 10+4x% (Max 50%) to 40+6x% (Max 100%).

God of War: Critical damage increase removed. MP reduction effect now scales with Sword Aura stage (10% + 2.5% * Sword Aura stage).

Persistence: Increased physical attack increase from 3% to 6% per stack. Changed [Power Break] which decreased physical and magical defense by 20% to [Heavy Power Break] which increased damage received by 10%.

[Mod] Armageddon Blade: Reduced damage increase buff from 20% to 10%. Added critical damage increase 10%.

[Mod] Windmill: Changed from a one-and-done attack to leaving a whirlwind behind (similar to install skills). Allies who are in the whirlwind will receive [Windmill] buff which increases all speed by 10% for 10 seconds.

Solarius (All stages): Removed the ability to inflict [Petrify] for 3/3/4/5 seconds.

Solarius (Stage 3 & 4): Decreased Special resource consumption reduction from 100% to 50%. Decreased HA and M. Skill cooldown acceleration from 40% to 20%.

So yeah I planned to improve the three classes of Elsword. KE is already done and now it's IM's time. I also changed to excel format and will move KE's improvement details here in the future.

With the heat of the new balance suggestion I hereby post my own opinion of KE:

(I have done this before but hey, there's still a lot we can do.)

1. Double Slash - Faster animation. Ignore 60% defense. Changed Empowered to Heavy trait.

2. [Mod] Double Slash - Increase damage. Ignore 80% defense. Changed Empowered to Heavy trait.

3. Armageddon Blade (Normal & Mod) - Gives its buff to party members.

4. Grand Cross - Increase MP cost to 300. Remove charging. Get fully charged benefits instantly.

5. Imperial Crusher - Change Heavy trait back to Useful.

6. Spiral Blast - Increase damage. Change Enhance to Heavy/Critical trait.

7. Impact Smash - Able to use on ground.

8. Sandstorm - Faster animation

9. Windmill - Integrate Mod's effect into base skill. Change damage distribution to deal high damage on initial hit and become lower afterward. Increase black hole effect.

10. [Mod] Windmill - Change to an install skill similar to Storm Blade.

11. Power Smash - Add 'Power Break' debuff. Does heavier hitstun.

12. Wind Slicer - Double chance to activate when Armageddon Blade is active (45% to 90%). Reactivation cooldown increases to 3 seconds. Cooldown reduction also applies to active skill (but only 3.5s).

13. Awakened Will: Lord Knight - Change requirement from 5 to 3 times.

14. Counter Patience - Change to stack when debuffed (not when getting a new debuff). Stack decrease by 1. Damage increase per stack reduce to 10%.

15. Persistence - [Persistence] buff changes requirement from 3 to 2. Increase chance of inflicting Power Break. Add critical damage 10% increase to [Knight's Dignity] buff.

16. Battle Ready - Change requirement from 1 to 0.5 second. Add cooldown -20% to [First Skill] effect.

17. Solarius (Stage 1 and 2) - If Armageddon Blade is already active, damage and range increase. (Also see my previous post on Master skills).

18. Solarius (Stage 3) - Also activate the current version of Armageddon Blade. If Armageddon Blade is already active, damage and range increase. Faster skill animation. (Also see my previous post on Master skills).

Warrior Physique - Nerfed Max HP and damage reduction increase

Sonic Blade & Mod: Increase animation speed; affected by attack speed. Trait change redacted.

Awakened Will: Lord Knight: Added the effect of reducing damage received from boss/mid-boss; physical and magical defense decreased. Shield reliant condition removed. Buffs for [Knight's Protection] now require certain stages of Sword Aura.

Gigantic Slash: Improved hitbox and black hole power; added a condition for the final hit to be able to ignore 80% defense; added the effect to refresh Sword Aura buffs to 40 seconds.

Grand Cross: All skill damage is changed to Active, Tenacity, Strength and Bravery skill damage; added Hyper Active and Master Skill damage increase effect.

Absolute Judgement: Added cooldown acceleration effect for [Absolute Judgement] buff.

Battle Ready: All skill cooldown reduction effect decreased; added additional HP/MP recovery increase and buff cooldown reduction after using a Hyper Active skill. Shared effects now scale with CP.

Persistence: Damage increase nerfed; number of hits required and max stack decreased.

Arma Blade & Mod: Damage decreased.

- Stage 1 & 2: Hitbox improved

Iron Body - Guard: In PVE only, MP cost is increased by 25. Cooldown reduction based on number of party members deleted.

Double Slash & [Mod] Double Slash: Damage decreased.

Awakened Will: Lord Knight: Changed [Knight's Protection] effect from granting damage reduction to party members within the aura to granting a shield based on KE's max HP and increase physical and magical defense to allies. CP scaling for buff sharing is deleted.

Grand Cross: All skill damage increase value at default is increased. [Sword Aura Resonance] effect changed to "Range increased by 5% per [Sword Aura] stage."

God of War: Added the effect of activating Wind Slicer at a certain chance when using Special Active skills.

Absolute Judgement: Grant [Absolute Judgement] buff which enhances [Sword Aura Augmentation] skills.

Battle Ready: Added the effect of allies being protected by [Knight's Protection] to be able to receive HP/MP healing when Battle Ready is activated on KE. HP/MP recovery value increased.

[Mod] Armageddon Blade: Changed from speed increase to critical chance increase.

Solarius (Stage 3 & 4): Speed increase value adjusted. Added critical chance increase.
