Okay. I could be completely reading way too much into this, but I have to talk about it.

With Chat Noir gradually getting more and more sidelined, it’s really not surprising to see him so isolated in the end card. In fact, it’s not the first time, as I recall people analyzing end cards from other episodes we’ve seen this season and making note of Chat Noir or Adrien looking isolated from everyone else in the image. So let’s take a closer look at Chat:

The rest of the end card is swathed in the familiar dreamy love colors, with bubbles and sparkles. But Chat Noir? He’s standing in gray-ish blue, with what I’m sure are clouds behind him. And when I first looked at this end card I thought that was a moon above him.

It’s not though, it’s just one of the bubbles. …But there’s only ONE. There is only ONE bubble on this side of the end card. In this gray-blue corner with clouds. The fact that the clouds are there means it’s a sky, not just some arbitrary void of gray-blue. And you couldn’t be sure that it’s a bubble if you didn’t have the rest of the image. Was it meant to look like there’s a moon there?

Sure, the immediate obvious analysis of the end card tells us that Chat is feeling increasingly isolated and that he is very much being left in the dark. He’s literally in a corner (with a darkened sky) of an otherwise sweet and dreamy looking image, looking very much upset and facing away from everyone else.

But the angle of his gaze is pointing upward… at that single bubble that looks like a moon in a gray-blue sky…

Again, I could totally be reading way too much into this image. Being a Kingdom Hearts fan leaves you over analyzing everything. But if it’s intentional… Then those Chat Blanc 2.0 theories are starting to look more and more possible.

A few quick first thoughts about Crocoduel!

- Luka and Juleka being twins is officially CANON now. THANKS FOR THE CONFIRMATION. So yes, Jagged Stone is Juleka’s father as well. And this episode touched on their relationship too.

- Props to whoever theorized that Chat Noir would not be upset over another “cat” member on the team! On the contrary, he seemed super excited about Purple Tigress! That bit was adorable! :3

- So if multiple people are akumatized at once, they all get a Shadowmoth repellent magical charm each!

- The episode ended with Marinette and Luka saying they were friends. Literally “amigos”. Finally they had a post-breakup chat!

- Juleka/Purple Tigress’ transformation sequence was *chef kiss*. And OMG her bracelet before she transforms is black (and gorgeous I might add). A goth queen through and through.

- LMAO AT SHADOWMOTH STRUGGLING TO AKUMATIZE SOMEONE FOR LIKE 5-10 WHOLE MINUTES. SUFFER!!

- Not a suuuper significant episode plot-wise, but still very much enjoyable, especially if you’re a fan of Luka and Juleka.

- OH. OH. And how can I forget, Rose taking Juleka’s face in her hands to press a little kiss on it. :’3 These adorable girlfriends…

- Oh, and one last thing: Nearly 19k people watching ahshjdkhahdjddj, hot damn.

OK. OK. HOLD ON. HOLD UP. ONE SEC.

Has there EVER been an episode with a scene AFTER the end card? Not as far as I remember??? That’s why it’s the end card.

So we didn’t get the reveal, and I knew it was totally going to be a fake out, this show loves doing that. X3 But I still got Sailor Moon reveal vibes and I love that, eeeeeeee. However, Shadowmoth got really close to finding out Ladybug’s identity, if she hadn’t noticed Sentimonster!Nino and had taken the turtle miraculous home… And that scene after the end card… What were he and Nathalie talking about????? Definitely something about Alya because Gabriel said her name.

No but seriously, I’m am SO sure we’ve never had a scene after the end card. So this must be big. Shghdjdjhsdh I can’t wait to rewatch it with English subs. AAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

Edit: Someone reminded me that there IS one other episode with a post-end card scene, and that was the season 3 finale Miracle Queen, in which Gabriel holds up the Peacock miraculous after fixing it, which left us on a cliffhanger and set up season 4.

That only makes me feel like the post-end card scene in Optigami is setting up for a significant shift for the second half of season 4 and I’m both excited and scared.

I’m Sorry

She knew it was her fault. She caused all of it – the pain, the suffering, the tears… And yet, he still came up to her, held her tight, and told her “It’s okay.” She couldn’t see it, but she knew he was crying and dying on the inside. And she didn’t understand how he can be so broken, yet hold her together like that.

Okay so, another Yugioh 5D’s story (for which I blame @minchen0897 who gave me this idea) It’s a one-shot AU thingy - you’ll see what I mean if you read it. Also, can be seen as Firebirdshipping OR Aki and Crow friendship - whichever you prefer. I’m still tagging it as Firebird - just to let ya know. Also warnings: Character death, injuries, self blame (all the good stuff)

It all started with a headache. Nothing unusual, expect that if felt… off. Compared to the others she’s had, this one was stronger and came in pulses instead of pressure or the feeling of needles in your brain. But she blamed it on school – after all, her exams were coming up. But instead of heading home that day, she decided to go with Ruka and Rua and visit their favorite trio of idiots, who were probably working or arguing. Or both.

To the surprise of the three Signers, the garage was rather… peaceful. Yusei was, as per usual, working on his Duel Runner, Jack was watching a TV show and Crow was in the kitchen cleaning up.

“Yusei! Come and duel me!” the male twin called, his Duel Disk already on.

“Really, now? What for?” Fudo wasn’t one to refuse duels, especially against kids, but he was a bit busy with the bike.

“School project. The professors want us duel against different type of Decks. We figured you three were the best options: Tuner Deck, Power Deck and Effect Deck,” the female twin smiled, giving a quick explanation.

“Hmph, so you want to duel me?” Jack rose from the couch and walked over, a smirk on his face and his arms folded.

“Well, yeah…” Rua mumbled, knowing that Atlas could beat him in one move. “But we need to work! Like, you know, see how it all works and all! Can’t finish it too soon!” he quickly added, seeing the blonde frown a bit.

“Tch, fine! Get ready!” the King threw on his Duel Disk in a second, and the boy barely had time to get his deck ready.

“Hey, Yusei? Could I, get some water?” Aki asked, wincing slightly from another wave of pain in her head. The ruckus wasn’t really helping either.

“Yeah sure. Crow’s in the kitchen, so he should be able to get you something,” the mechanic nodded, giving a smile.

“Oi, Aki!” Hogan grinned, seeing the redhead enter.

“Hello,” she smiled back, hand on her forehead.

“Ah, another headache?” the ginger frowned, drying his hands on a cloth.

“Yeah. School seems to be really getting to me,” a small chuckle escaped her as she sat down while Crow fetched the pill and glass of water.

“Kinda makes me glad I never went to one.”

“It’s not all bad,” she accepted what he offered and took the pill, washing it with the water.

“Eh, maybe my kids will go to one,” the male shrugged, but worry filled his expression soon after. “Oi, you don’t look so good…” she looked pale, more than usual, while her eyes seemed heavy and distant.

“It – It’s nothing. I’m fine, really,” she assured him, giving a weak smile and getting to her feet. But as soon as she stood up, the world started to spin and she lost her balance. Everything was blurry, but she knew she was falling and would have hit the ground, if Crow hadn’t grabbed her.

“Oi, Aki! Aki!” he called, panicked as she started panting, eyes closed and face twisted in pain. “Damn it!” he hissed, hearing calls from under where the others were.

“Crow, what happened?” Yusei was at the door worry and fear in his eyes.

“I dunno, she just collapsed,” Hogan said quickly, scooping her up gently. “I’m taking her to Martha. Could be nothing, could be something serious,” he added, one hand under her knees and the other holding her closer to his chest.

“I’ll go with – never know what can happen,” Fudo already turned before the ginger could even nod, and they passed a concerned Jack and the worried twins.

“We’ll be back soon. Don’t let Jack cook!”

“She gonna be okay?” Martha sighed in mild annoyance, having heard that question for the tenth time in the past hour.

“As far as I can tell, yes,” she answered, checking the cloth on Aki’s head and feeling the warmth coming off it. “But I have no idea what caused it,” she admitted a bit puzzled.

“Aki…” the two boys mumbled in worry, their eyes cast on the girl. She was panting, and clearly still in pain, as she had a death grip on the sheets.

“Why don’t you two get some fresh air? You’ve been here for the past three hours and worrying yourself sick won’t help anyone,” Martha instructed, giving them a knowing look. “The kids could use some distraction as well.”

“Yeah, you’re probably right…”

“Of course I am! Now go. If anything happens, I’ll let you know.”

“Is Big Sis Aki gonna be okay?” Kokoro asked, her big round eyes looking up at the two.

“She’ll be fine, just needs a bit of rest,” Crow gave his usual assuring grin and patted her head. Yusei smiled a bit as well, but he wasn’t as confidant.

“Bro Yusei! Your bike is acting weird!” Ginga called from the front of the house and the duo quickly rushed to it.

“Jack?” Fudo was surprised seeing the blonde had called him.

“Yusei, there’s a bit of an issue with the new engine! It stared roaring and-,” before the man could go on, something blowing up could be heard as well as a yell from one of the twins.

“I’m going back,” the brunette said bluntly, already reaching for the helmet. “Keep an eye on Aki, will you?”

“You bet! Leave it to me!” Hogan grinned and nodded as his friend rode off towards the city.

When the ginger went back to check on his friend, he saw her tossing on the bed, still in pain and muttering words he couldn’t really understand.

“Aki?” he rushed to her side, worry and panic in his eyes. “Oi, Aki! Wake up!” he tried shaking her, only to have something push him back. He staggered backwards, but kept his balance as his Signer Mark started glowing. He spotted the same crimson light coming off the girl’s arm and he let out a curse.

“Stop it! Get away!” Izayoi screamed, her hands coming to clover her head. “I don’t need you anymore!” tears were streaming down her cheeks as the whole house seemed to being shaking. There were screams and calls from down below and Crow acted on instinct as he moved towards the girl again.

“Aki! It’s okay, you’re safe!” he called, hearing the windows crack as pots and other items rolled onto the ground. “Calm down!” he tried to grab her again, and felt the pressure from before hit him. He managed to hold on even as the shards of glass flew towards the both of them, edging themselves into his shoulder.

“Leave me alone!” the girl screamed, eyes flying open and glowing red as the walls cracked and the roof began falling apart.

Another invisible push knocked Crow into the nearest wall, knocking the air out of him, as parts of the ceiling collapsed around him. The screams downstairs turned to pain and fear and there was crying as well as Martha yelling. The ginger was disoriented from the hit, but saw the redhead was now floating in the middle of the room, still screaming, holding her head, crying and thrashing against something.

That’s when Hogan saw a stray bookshelf tumbling towards her and jumped to his feet, knocking the girl to the ground to avoid getting crushed and grabbed firmly onto her arm, right where the Signer Mark was glowing like crazy.

“Aki! Get a hold of yourself! You’re scaring the kids!” he screamed over her, and for a few seconds, she seemed to come back, eyes wide and body shaking.

“Crow?” it was a small, weak whisper, as if she didn’t even believe he was really here.

“It’s me,” the house was still shaking, and before either knew it, the ground beneath them gave in and they plummeted down.

Aki screamed and Crow pulled her closer to him, trying to shield her from the impact as they landed on the ground. The world seemed to go black for a few moments, before the rest of the house came crashing down atop them, and all either could do, was pull closer and close their eyes for what was to come.

When he woke up, the first thing he realized was pain. And lots of it. The next, was the blinding light and closed his eyes quickly.

“Crow?” someone asked gently, and he was surprised to hear it. Wasn’t he dead? No wait. If you’re dead, you don’t feel pain. Then what-?

“Crow, wake up,” the voice – Yusei – urged him and he did as he was told.

“Huh?” he managed, seeing he was lying in a hospital bed, bandages on his arms and torso, as well as his head.

“Thank God you’re okay,” the brunette let out a breath of relief, and gave his rare smile.

“Why would I be?” the ginger asked, before remembering what had happened not long ago.

“Aki!” he sat up too suddenly and felt the pain hit him full force.

“She’s here,” Jack said this time, sitting on the other side of his bed. “Still asleep though.”

“What – what happened? Where are the kids and Martha?” at the two’s suddenly lack of eye contact, he felt his blood run cold.

“No way…” he let out, almost a whimper, as he swallowed. “Don’t mess with me here guys!”

“We’re not messing with you!” Atlas came close to hissing, but kept his voice relatively calm. His eyes however, told a whole other story. “The Crimson Dragon protected you two… The same can’t be said for everyone else…” the blonde added and Crow suddenly forgot to breathe as he kept blinking.

He clearly recalled the kids smiling faces, all the teasing they’ve all done all the memories they had. And Martha, how she was always there when he did the stupidest shit and made sure they all had something to eat… They were all gone…

He couldn’t even react any other way than grip the bed sheets tighter, head low and fighting the tears even though they were already running down his face.

“…” the other two shared a look – should they tell him? Jack gave a weak nod and Yusei returned it, before putting a hand on Crow’s healthy arm. At the contact, the ginger looked up, tearstained eyes looking into pained ones.

“Crow, the reason… Why it all happened…” Fudo wasn’t even sure how to tell him and was already regretting even mentioning it. “Aki’s Psychic abilities came back… Have been coming back for a bit, but she had no idea… At Martha’s,” he stopped; eyes closed and bowed his head. “She didn’t have any control over it.”

Visiting hours ended soon after, leaving Crow in the bed with too much information, while Aki still slept on the bed next to his. He glanced at her, not sure how to feel anymore. He can’t blame her, not really, but she could have tried to tell someone. He knew she loved the kids – that much was clear from all the times she came to visit them. And be believed she would never do anything to hurt them. So why… why did he still feel that bit of anger?

It was then, that he heard soft sobs coming from the other bed and blinked in surprise. He thought it was just his mind play tricks on him since he was told to have had a concussion, but the bundle of blankest was also shaking.

“…Aki?” he tried, calling quietly and softly. There was no vocal answer, but the blankets did shift a bit and that was enough for him.

“Aki, how – how long have you been awake?” he was shocked now. Just how much did she hear?

“…A while…” came a raspy answer and Hogan didn’t care for his injuries anymore. He got to his feet and walked over to her bed, despite the protest of his body and looked her in the eyes. Or, tried to anyway. They were bandaged over, but the tear strains were still visible.

“Aki…?” he backed away for a moment, unsure of how to proceed.

“Crow… I’m – I’m so, so terribly sorry…” her voice was cracking, her body shaking a she tried to reach for him. “I’m so sorry,” she repeated, hands shaking when he finally reached back.

“I never – I never wanted to – I would never-,” she choked on her words as liquid ran down her scraped cheeks now. “Please, please,” the way she asked, almost begged, made the ginger skip a few breathes. “Please, don’t hate me…”

He couldn’t take it anymore and reached down, pulling her into a gentle hug as he closed his eyes to make sure he didn’t start crying as well.

“I know it’s not your fault…” she knew he wasn’t lying, but also heard his strained his voice was. Just how close to crying as he himself?

“I know you’d never hurt the kids or Martha or anyone…” she gripped his clothes tighter, her face in his chest. “So please, don’t blame yourself…” she began sobbing again, feeling a gentle hand on her head. “You’re not a monster,” that last bit broke any control she had left and started crying again, into his shoulder which still had the smell of blood.

She knew it was her fault. She even blamed herself for it all. And yet, he still came up to her, held her tight, and told her: “It’s okay. Don’t worry…” she didn’t understand how he can be so broken, yet hold her together like that.

End! Welp yeah, this is it. No happy ending and all of that. As I said, it was a sort of conversation-request with @minchen0897 and this came out. Hope any of ya enjoyed it (sort of anyway)
