dude people who refuse to even look at something they disagree with is a red flag. and before this becomes a “piss on the poor” post, this isn’t about looking at things that are genuinely upsetting, or allowing yourself to fall into rabbit holes or accept into your belief system things that you are opposed to. it just means, if every opinion you have is so fragile you refuse to even glance at the opposite perspective…. like, that’s bad dude. thinking that it’s okay to insulate yourself from opposing opinions “because you’re the good guy and they’re the bad guy” or similar logic… this is assuming you already know and understand something you refuse to even engage with…. do you see the flaw in the logic?

Oh boy rant time

Ok so I have a friend who tends to joke around. He does this thing where he says 'she, he, they, fucking- basketball?!' As a joke to how he isn't exactly sure of my gender identity.

When he says 'he' JESUS CHRIST DO I FEEL THINGS.

Like, I like he/him pronouns being used for me-

Being called 'father' also makes me feel this odd feeling.

Im not sure what to feel about this

I've felt trans before, but I got scared out of the feeling after my father threatened conversion therapy and said trans people are 'wrong in the head'

My mother thinks the same, if I'm correct.

Obviously, I hate their view on trans, nonbinary, and people who express themself differently from their AGAB. You are ALL valid!

I'm scared to tell them I even have trans and nonbinary friends.

That aside, I like the he/him pronouns as I said. Should I accept that and state I like he/him pronouns???
