The wildcat was actually mostly okay, in comparison!
After she found Cory, she was mostly just... wandering around with her. Talking to random people, checking out so and so, making sure things were going okay.
And it seemed like it was! Being around her sister chilled out any kind of worries she had about anything.
And once they met up with Blaze, and the wildcat finally got her dress on, it was practically go time.
And... after a quick text to her two best friends, telling them that they needed to head off to the alter, she smirked at the fire kitty.
"Blaze, it's almost time!!! Send us off!!!!"
Corazon just locked her arm with the younger wildcat, winking at the princess.
"Just don't do anything too crazy, okay? If you're gonna be using that fire stuff I don't wanna be singed."
And with a motion of the purple feline's hands, a spiral of flames surrounded the three of them, erupting into the sky!
---
At the reception hall, sparks would start to light at the beginning of it, before each spark would combine into ball, and then a pillar of fire. And after it dispersed, would the two green felines--both dazed by the fancy teleportation--appear, arms locked with each other.
The mercenary wore a black tuxedo with a bow tie to match.
And Carol, her wedding dress was quite extravagant. Poofy and long--ridiculously long, it extended two feet from her heels. Her sleeves were see through, but had a white vine pattern wrapping all around her arms.
And around her waist were tiny little gems embroidered into the dress, in colors of red, green and purple. A touch the wildcat appreciated very much.
But, after the two got themselves situated, and after Carol sighed, they looked forward.
Oh hey, Lyli and Milla! They were... vaguely in the right place!
Not that... she told them where to stand.
Not that she knew like... anything about this area to begin with.
Haha... oops.
Whatever!!! She looked over at Cory and smiled, and Cory did much the same.
And so, they walked. Walked down that aisle, walked to that man standing at the alter.
Once there, the mercenary stood off to a side--riiiiiight next to the the dragon and dog girls. She kept up her smile as best as she could. Because it was for Carol! Corazon would let her have this special day, and she'd put her grievances about the dragon girl away just for today.
Carol stood at the alter, right across from her hedgehog.
Right now, they were mere minutes away from them being tied together forever.
Neera cleared her throat, took out a book, and began to read.
"Friends and family. "We are gathered here today in this Royal Palace to witness the joining of two lives. This is the marriage celebration of two people who are special to you. "These two separate people have chosen this special time and place to be married to each other. The decision to marry is not entered into lightly, but rather is undertaken with great consideration and respect for both the other person and oneself. You as friends and family are able to celebrate with Sonorous and Carol in the making of this important commitment."
...Carol was starting to get bored, actually.
Like, she was excited! The big day was here and in JUST A LITTLE BIT, she's be officially married to her Sony!!!
But.
Neera's droning, on and on and on--this SUCKED. This WAS AWFUL.
But, after awhile of her speeches, Neera finally went, "Please face each other and hold hands."
The feline looked over to the hedgehog, letting her hands fall into his. She smiled longingly.
Neera continued to read, "Now we celebrate the love that Sonorous and Carol have for each other and as family and friends you give social recognition to their intention to permanently accept the other by reciting the marriage vows."
The Regent looked over to the hedgehog.
An hour or so later after helping Jet's band set up the music for the whole thing, Sonar was a wreck. This wasn't nervousness. This was anxiousness... well, anxiousness giving way to a little nervousness. Sitting in a chair in front of a mirror, he could barely sit still. He told Carol nothing would go wrong, everything would be smooth as butter. But what if he screwed up somehow? Made an ass of himself?
He'd never had stage fright since that first time he played for an audience. And this felt almost exactly like that. Screwing up in front of a bunch of people...
"Dude, you're making a mountain of a molehill here," West said as he fixed his own tie. "You'll be fine."
"You're not the one saying the most important words of your life," Sonar grumbled. Sonar was wearing a version of the waistcoat outfit he wore on a date that seemed like it was ages ago now. Instead of jeans, though, he wore dark gray pants, shining black dress shoes instead of boots, and he traded the shirt underneath for a white longsleeve shirt with more fitted-looking cuffs with a matching tie. The waistcoat itself matched the pants. Everything white was off just enough to clearly differentiate between it and his fur.
It was probably the best he'd ever looked in his life. And he was worried about what he'd be saying.
"I said you'll be fine," West said again as he walked over to Sonar's side. "Now come on, get up, or I'm kicking you in the shins."
"Now there's an image that I don't need screwing up my composure." Sonar stood, really trying hard not to let the anxious-nervousness show, at least physically.
"Can't really do much else to a friggin' giant, can I? Come on. It's almost midnight. Not bad, by the way."
"Yeah, thanks."
Ten minutes later, Sonar was standing on top of a platform that had been artfully transformed into a kind of altar for the wedding. Neera stood in the center closest to the wall, and Sonar forward and to her left. West stood beside him, looking decidedly less antsy.
"Stones, I can perform in front of thousands of people and be perfectly fine but a wedding ceremony has me ready to run," he muttered.
