Oh I 100% agree. Even putting shipping preferences aside, it just seems wildly out of character for him to not spiral about it in the aftermath? He was totally willing to ditch Tristan when he thought Esme was in trouble, and they weren’t even connected on the same level, so why wouldn’t he do the same with Lola?

My thinking is that the writers wanted to keep the focus on Lola and her POV for the storyline, and I guess I can understand that, but it just came off as…odd. I also think it was a bit of a missed opportunity, considering Miles has such complicated feelings about his own dad - of course he’d care! I do firmly believe he would have taken her and been there for her if he had actually known what was going on though. Sigh.
