I can forgive 3w2 typers since she is a soc-dom 2w3 and this type looks very 3-ish if you don't know the subtle distinctions between 2 and 3. Also Taylor has a strong Competency fix (1) which makes her do a lot of overlapping 1/3 stuff such as going on about how hardworking she is and being very image conscious, to always present a Good image. So this further adds confusion.

Anyone who misses the 2 completely and types Taylor Swift on the 4 side of the heart triad (that includes 3w4 voters) is an absolute joke and I hold them in the same regard I hold people who don't type Lana Del Rey as 9 and the BHE people who somehow concluded that Mitski and Azaelia Banks are both 683s.

...actually this spring’s isekai pickings were a little bit better than usual, not even one 2/10 on my list! isenido just barely scraped by by sparing/pseudo-redeeming touma at the last second, but his plotline was SUCH a downer it made me despise the protagonist enough to knock the whole show down to a 3 when otherwise i’d have at least considered it for a low 4, accrued mainly from the excellent little romance with leviathan (of course her screentime is minimal and the rest of the harem is especially worthless to make up for it) (also, touma’s goofy yandere antics are genuinely a treat, but if i think about them for too long i remember that he literally actually did nothing wrong and my spirit of righteous vengeance starts thinking maybe this shit is a 2 after all). though i will soon have forgotten everything abt this show except for its wonderful myanimelist synopsis

i can’t find a single other website that uses the phrase ‘isekai-normie’, all respect to the mad genius mal editor responsible. the double-isekai aspect is almost so stupid it’s worth talking about but it’s also not even in the damn show, the classmates he got isekai’d with do not even appear in the fucking plot, so i won’t waste more space in this post on it

anyways i was expecting to dole out more 3s this season but everything else managed to accrue enough random charm points to scrape by; fundamentally i’m most affected by tone and this particular set all trended towards the genuinely fluffy and forgiving, which is shocking considering yuusha ga shinda is on this list but i’m a sap so i loved the bullshit reverse body-swap resolution and was even kind of rooting for touka and yuna’s deeply stupid romance by the finale. tensei kizoku is probably the meanest of the bunch but it made up for it in other ways (first and foremost: wataru hatano catboy ojisan. the character he voiced in yuusha ga shinda was also the highlight of that show lol, a seasonal throughline), mostly literally by having great design sense and introducing a whole cast’s worth of new characters every single episode so even though the main harem was another viciously terrible one we essentially ended up spending no time with them at all, i’d mercifully completely forgotten about the elf girl by the time she popped in in the finale

on the flip-side of this is that ‘uncommonly garbage set of love interests’ is the other throughline of the season for some reason, with iseleve being the other main offender, but in that case it’s offset by obvious Main Girl Who Will Win kaori being more than charming enough to balance out the rest of them. i was disappointed that there were so many irritants and distractions in the real-world part of the plot because yuuya using his video game hacks to win at crane games and getting coerced into becoming a fashion model is WAY more interesting than any of the generic isekai antics on the other side of the door (it’s so pathetic it loops around to deeply compelling at points), though i ended up liking the latter half well enough too once the evil onii-sama plot made it to the redemption arc portion. it’s too brief to really write home about or to bump this show up to a 5 but it did remind me pleasantly of a speed-run version of seikoku no dragonar’s prince julius plot, which will always be the gold standard for those (don’t @ me)

and that leaves isesuma Season Two as the only one on the list i haven’t talked about yet but it’s an outlier that i feel like i have to treat a little differently just because it’s very funny as a case study; when the first season aired in 2017 it was genuinely the worst thing i’d ever seen and i didn’t hesitate to give it a 2/10, while this season felt pretty much as average as one of these can get, and there’s no doubt in my mind that they are of pretty much the exact same quality. the only thing that really stood out this season was how little of a shit touya gives about his harem, even with him being a clueless/reluctant-type protagonist i remember the previous season actually attempting to build (even being mostly dedicated to building...?) romance arcs with the sisters in particular but this season girls he’s JUST met just get added to the fiancé roster *by the other girls* without even consulting him and the show doesn’t even play it as a joke. the mal synopsis for this one presents the harem as the main hook but the only time touya seems to care about anything in this entire season is the mecha engineering plotline, if you close your eyes you can pretend it really is still summer 2017 and you’re watching knight’s & magic..................... anyways it still just barely snags a 4 by actually putting in the white-haired catboy rival (i guess he isn’t actually a catboy but i spent all of s1′s intro thinking he was so that’s ingrained as fact for me) who was in all of s1′s damn intro but did not appear in the show at any point. he’s here now!!!!

oh my god i need to fuckin. gush about my agent 3 for a minute i need u to perceive her for a second

her personality is that she Does Not Emote and is essentially emotionally unavailable due to her circumstances. she doesnt rlly pay attention to herself to much so she has no clue how to really navigate her thoughts and feelings so she just Doesnt and drowns herself in agent work

story wise shes only really working as agent 3 to find her dad cuz he got like, kidnapped cuz hes an octoling and dj octavio needed all the people he could get so he could overthrow the government or smth idk, and this happens when shes like 12 so shes young stupid and recently fatherless livinv alone w/ her brother

uhhh SOMEHOW her and cuttlefish meet and the whole splat 1 campaign happens and when octavio is defeated some of the debris hits her eye and makes a scar and now she HATES this guy cuz first he steals her dad AND THEN almost blinds her???? so now octavio has a very upset 13 yr old 3 who wants him dead

uhhhh OK so before the splat 2 campaign starts her and cuttlefish get stuck and separated in the metro where octo expansion happens and 3 is soooo tired shes been LOST in a MYSTERIOUS FACILITY for THREE MONTH (or however long octo expansion takes place, i just say between 3-6 month tbh) and shes like 15 at this point so she is NOT mature at all despite her stony personality

anyways so she saves 8 and cuttlefish from tartar or whatever and she gets a concussion n gets infected with the goo and all that stuff blah blah blah FIGHT WITH 8 HAPPENS

my 3 uses dualies cuz i say so and 8 uses a e liter so its pretty much a free win for 3 BUT somewhere near the end of that fight 8 takes the nozzle part of the e liter and smacks 3 with the ink tank part ?? and the fight ends there becuz 3 just got a DOUBLE CONCUSSION and cant even stand up straight anymore

blah blah blah the turf war thing on the statue happens blah blah 8 wins n they head back to octo valley/canyon (wherever splat 2s campaign happens in idk i havent played in months) and 3s brother is there?????

spoiler alert octo expansion happens DURING splat 2 campaign (at least in my version of events) and 3s brother was like ‘damn my sisters been MISSING for like a month’ so he goes and investigates and accidentally gets initiated by marie so now hes agent 4 now and he beats octavios ass over the course of like 2 months

ok so now the siblings r back together again and pearl (who is sort of a family friend to their family, basically pearls younger brother aka emperor from the manga cuz i think that hc is funny , used to be friends with 3 before she lived with her dad) decides that she need to contact 3s parents, cuz 3 is half dead and concussed to the second power and probably needs to go to the hospital

pearl can only contact her mom for obvious reasons and 3 gets treated by her family doctor because her mom is rich as balls and is a famed wrestler (lol) and 3 is like in an out of consciousness this whole time and eventually just passes out for a week or two

when she wakes up tho she doesnt really remember what happened after getting infected with Goo and is HORRIFIED to find out she attacked 8 and cuttlefish

she formally apologizes to both of them and is overall feelinb Very Bad and Guilty about the whole thing and 8 doesnt really hold it against her because its not like 3 did it on purpose (and also because she saved their life like 30 minutes before trying to kill them so its canceles out. pemdas)

Second attempt at this since last time Chrome just DIED for no reason...

Im going to put literally the entire thing with Cinder under one note; Called it.

Its a great set of stuff, sure, but it doesnt relaly tell us anything we didnt already know about Cinder, and I personally feel it doesnt really explain why she turned out the way she did. I feel like we’ve had another weird twist of the situation again...M+K? Coronas fault? Who knows. Either way, this section isnt great by my taste and I kinda skipped most of it. 

Few things to note though; Apperently in Mistral scrubbing by hand is still more viable floor cleaning tech than using Dust.

The wind vane on the roof has the Rooster Teeth symbols rooster on it. 

The hotel Cinder is bought by is named the Glass Unicorn, fittingly enough for...several reasons. 

The coffees behind the stepsisters when we first see them are the animated versions of the real life stuff RT put out just before this season went live. 

No one seems to notice the fact cinder has orange eyes. I wonder if weird eye colors are just a THING in Remnant?

The control collar/shock thing is incredibly inefficient in design, since it doesnt actually hold on to her very well. A more effective brace/choker design would have worked better.

The song that goes on during all of this is...kind of obvious and a little bland? Fitting for younger Cinder I guess.

Better still we see it MOVE, rotate in time to the passing of years. So it literally does rotate on its own axis, and more importantly, unlike OUR moon, its NOT tidally locked. We only ever see the same side of our moon. REmnants rotates MUCH faster. Also it doesnt seem to have phases like ours does. I’ll check on why that is. 

Well at least we have an explanation for why Cinders so damn good at fighting people. Trained by an Atlas Huntsman.

Also as a note the device is quite literally just an electrical Dust crystal attached to a necklace. Things the most inefficent torture device Ive ever fucking seen.

(Thoose bitches on ig told me that the fight wasn’t over and that Noelle had a new attack. But, you moron, she’s naked and has no mana left ? She can do nothing. Gajar, Leopold, Charmy, Mimosa, Luck just got into an explosion of litteral mana and are probably in serious situations of near dead. And Vanica just flies away with Lolo. So it’s the end you stupid ass. And Nero sealed. I forget her. lol). So she will probably wake in her hospital bed, with her bro next to her (Nozel, Solid would never), because if this bitch ignores her all of her childhood to protect her of someone and you learn that she fight against that someone (and get bad harmed) he’s gonna be angry, guilty and fucking worried.

And maybe he will tell her about her mom, after telling her that Yami, Vanessa, Grey (and maybe Asta, since Dante can probably make him have 2 other arms) and William were abducted.

Whatever, I won’t watch next episode because I don’t give a fck. I watch this one for the 3s of Nero in swimsuit and the 4s of Zora who disappeared after. I will watch the episode again if we see Dorothy in the episode 138. Or idk, any captains other that Yami and Fuego/Mereo, even if I love them, please, we have 7 others captains. Use them.

today (long work rant)

got to work - we're missing staff again. she may not be able to come back for the rest of the week (not her fault, but still, company cant get subs). her coworker who calls out sick several times a month and had just returned from being out for five days: "how can we run the class with just me and the part time sub and [3rd coworker]? its unsafe we cant do it."

(her coworkers have been running the class all by themselves each day she's been out.. I do agree it's not safe conditions, even though they are in ratio [because the ratio is stupid to begin with] so i wouldnt side-eye her this EXCEPT... she constantly makes comments about how she's the only one who can manage her class, that her coworkers dont know what to do with out her (that all of us dont know what do without her, actually) etc. meanwhile she's out all the time and her coworkers always pick up the slack and never complain about the things she says.... rubs me the wrong way.

anyway she tries to get us to take some of her students but we are all maxed. i have 18 kids in my class, other class has their max and are supposed to be recording their day (so is the other class), fourth class has a couple open spots, so they can take a couple kids, but they need more than just two kids taken. also, the class that is recording has a new student who is really strong and uncontrollable. they want someone to take him while they do the recording portions.

yesterday we had a similar deal and my class took the new student. it was INSANE. we didnt have our third teacher and had an office admin who doesnt know how to do our job instead, so we were already incredibly overworked, AND we had to chase after this kid. but i said we'd do if we had an absence, and one girl called out sick, so yeah, we got him, and he screamed bloody murder until he could return to his home class. no kidding, poor kid keeps getting shuffled to random places ever since he started coming to our school...

and after lunch we ended up taking one student from the understaffed class and another class took a second just to try to even things out. we were given a kid who lit needs a teacher with him at aaaall times because he bites and hites. so it was once again like having two teachers instead of one because the third's job was just "stay with that kid."

also another class borrowed my ipad for recording and forgot to give it back (i dont blame them tho bc we couldnt even find time to go get it from them, and if we couldnt with our 3s, then they with their 2s were even more swamped). so i had to sing a cappella during lesson time lol lol. and we were also dealing with those extra kids from the other classes. hate to say it but today we really NEEDED youtube babysitter >.< and of course we didnt have it.

also! the kid who hits and bites punched me in the eye this morning xP not hard. i am perfectly fine. knocked my glasses off tho. at least it had the effect of stopping his rage as he was so surprised to see my face without them haha. he started smiling and laughing. yes i know i have a funny face x'D his mood improved and he actually apologized without lots of persuasion for once

suffice to say this is totally exhausting and whats most exhausting of all is not being able to say anything about it because it's how it is for everyone, thanks covid. it's not like we can blame coworkers for becoming close contacts or blame the company for not being able to afford new subs after all the lost tuition money and all the women who quite or dont want to work when their kid could need them after getting sent home for weeks at a time due to covid/being a close contact. (my job is 99% women.)

but its also unsafe. thats the worst part. im always like there we go but for the grace of god... I dont think it should count as making ratio if the sub is an office admin who doesnt know anything about young children or our routine. i dont see how that improves things. it's another pair of eyes which is good but other than that... also all the juggling students and never having time to sit down with the kids and engage with them because we are trying to do the work of a full staff with only a skeleton crew is just Not Good, it sucks

i pointed out that if the teacher who's out is going to be out all week, we are going to run into the same problems we had today and yesterday for the rest of the week too. and we wont have any more solutions for it than we do today. i was hoping that if i spoke up, our manager would realize this needs to be taken more seriously and do something about it. she's really nice and i like her a lot, but she always asks us what to do in this situation, like she's hoping we're gonna say "no problem! we can work three jobs at once! easy peasy!" although i think the real reason is there isn't anything more she's empowered to do, manager or not, and she just doesnt want to stoke up bad energy by showing frustration. i know its unprofessional to show frustration but at this point i know for a fact (due to things that have happened in the past) that we are all feeling it and it feels almost like gaslighting when everyone just acts like things are fine like this. yeah maybe theres nothing anyone can do. but is there REALLY?? what if we closed a class for a day. not enough staff, cant have the class. i mean i know of course that will never happen, and it ESPECIALLY wont ever happen during covid when covid-related class closings are a constant threat. but seriously. this is ridiculous.

like for example... after we hurriedly hashed out a plan to get through the day, i went on my shift watching the morning care kids, and after a while i realized the only other teacher in the room was actually this college kid who only works with us like once a week and only for a couple hours at a time. she's barely trained. she's nice! she would be awesome help normally... but she's not ready to be the ONLY OTHER PERSON IN THE ROOM. we had like 15-20 kids with just her and me and more coming all the time. i had to lock the door because the new kid keeps trying to run out. i was changing diapers, unpacking kids belongings, talking to parents, comforting kids with separation anxiety, stopping kids from throwing toys, etc etc pretty much all by myself. was crossing my fingers the whole time that nothing bad happened. i dont know how im not completely bald after today's stress seriously

icing on the cake is the coworker i mentioned at the beginning who complained about not being able to care for the class with one teacher absent. she was going to have the college student as her third for the morning and she was insisting she couldnt make the cut. then she throws me in there ALONE with the same college kids for the morning care, a period where there is less structure, more unpredictability, and a mix of kids of all ages from all classes. and that's fine. lol. (i wanna be clear tho, the college student is doing really well. none of this is a reflection on her. things are just crazy. also it seems she did perfectly fine working as the third teacher in that coworkers class. at least shes not an office admin lol. so much fuss for absolutely no reason)
