No but seriously imagine it:
You're seeing they might be giants on a concert. Everyone is having a great time. They might be giants seem a little excited. "We have a surprise for you guys." Falnsburgh says. All of a sudden Lemon Demon come out and start singing "touch tone telephone." When Neil gets to the chorus, someone else starts singing… "I was driving down the freeway in the fast lane with a rabid wolverine in my underwear when suddenly a guy popped up in the back seat and put his hands across my eyes." Lights flash everywhere, and you see TMBG singing "touch tone telephone" along with Lemon Demon, while weird al is singing "Everything you know is wrong". Everyone in the crowd is going wild and crying. Then if things couldn't get any better, Lizard and Fish walk onto stage and escape the pet store holding the peewee herman flag.

"ouugh my music taste sucks they are going to beat me with hammers for recommending this"
False. And Here's Why.
"Goodbye, My 4-Track" was a 2003 album by Logan Whitehurst and the Junior Science Club. And it's great.
This is because Vanilla the Plastic Snowman wrote all the songs, and played all the instruments.
Most people don't know this, but he's actually a lot more prolific than that.
He's written, composed and performed every single song that exists. The one you're thinking of? Yup. Yes, that one too. He has a bigger portfolio than John Music and Blue Ponytails Lady!
So, statistically speaking, if you like a song, and want to recommend it to friends because it's good, Vanilla made it.

^ All music is made by Vanilla the Plastic Snowman, and you wouldn't want to discredit all the work HE did, would you???
No. You wouldn't. Never feel shame about the music you listen to ever again. Unless it's Eiffel 65 he didn't write any of those

“1, 2, 3 and to the 4! No doggy-dog’s knockin’ on my door! It’s a postman bringin’ me 1000 more! ‘Cause I’m buildin’ me an army and I’m goin’ to war! Say, this is my moment, this is my hour! The robot cat is my ticket to power! Better get ready for the cat invasion, world domination, that’s the occasion! They’re better, and stronger, and smarter, and faster! Soon everybody will be callin’ me master! The humans surrender, and that’ll be that, I’ll say WELCOME TO THE PLANET OF THE ROBOT CAT!”

Logan Whitehurst & the Junior Science Club – Goodbye, My 4-Track (2003)
22 tracks, 1 hr 1 min 12 sec
Rating: 9/10
Top Track: Me and the Snowman
This is one of the more obscure pulls on this blog, I think. Perhaps not the least listened to artist here (though admittedly I haven't checked), but near that for sure. This pick does not come from me, I'm not familiar in the slightest, much like most of the people reading this I'm sure.
This was absolutely fantastic. This is another one of those picks from a list given on a They Might Be Giants-centered Discord server, and it really shows, which I mean in a really positive way. Hell, Whitehurst is compared to TMBG on his Wikipedia page, which I would take as a massive compliment, personally. It would be entirely true to call this one of the best comedy albums ever, if not the single best in the genre (certainly the best I've ever heard), but it would be unfair to limit this to comedy albums. Not to hate on comedy albums or anything, but this is something more. The music behind it is really great, there's some good genre mixing going on, and overall this was just a really solid album. Top tracks for me include Aron, Happy Noodle vs. Sad Noodle, and How Ya Doing, Emily?

it’s been such a joy seeing that logan whitehurst has been getting so much attention in the past year or so (especially on tumblr), I remember discovering him on Spotify when I was in middle school and he only had like 200 monthly listeners. i thought his music was so fantastic and didn’t know why more people hadn’t heard of him, only to go on tumblr and find out he has a ton of fans. good stuff.

I tried my best to capture the essence of those early 2010's lps music videos, from the visible hands puppeteering the dolls' movements to the video editing. Hope i did okay ^_^

hello tumble guys! remember this drawing from last year!? Well I really wanted to redraw it, so feast!! (ignore my silly short rambles below)
Tumblr media
one of the main reasons I wanted to do a redraw (beyond me not knowing how to draw Logan last year) is because of the amount of things I forgot or didnt know existed at the time!!
I didn't realise Logan was there for the creation of eslyuim before leaving the velvet teen, along with doing a bad representation of the secret band and not knowing the existence of a buried box!! I also just realised I didn't include that code red release 🙂 I'm not touching this anymore tho man I'm too tired, it's only like 2 songs I think anyways #ilovethevelvetteen
Also added headboard, the Fullereners and Owens first album (cuz he has a Logan song on it, rip💔), rest is basically just standard Jr sci club things
I would've included something to the other mysterious band he was in (Satan likes poopoo) but alas, idk currently if there's anything about it, so you get nothing!!
