but they’re like… Rich Rich…. like they Been rich since the 1600′s, rich

emma’s mutation started manifesting itself when she was a teen and she used this in order to become the top of her class

tho after her father found out she was having an affair with one of her teachers, she dipped and basically made her own wealth, using a mix of charm and telepathy to climb the ladder of the business world

emma also exposed an affair her father was having and because of this he was…. impressed…. weird flex but ok — and asked her to be his heir but she basically told him to kick rocks bc she wanted nothing to do w him

this is when the hellfire club approached her to become a member

emma helped them work toward their goal of economical and political world domination

tho w the use of her telepathy she found out that their actual intention was to get rid of all mutants and she flipped her mf lid and worked w seb shaw (who was a fellow mutant) to take over the hellfire club and rename it the inner circle

after this the inner circle was basically mutant dominated and emma eventually started recruiting young mutants in the hopes of their abilities serving the inner circle. this team was called the hellions

i’m just gonna let y’all know there are few people in this world that emma would give her life for and her lil team of hellions is 1000000000% high up on that list. she LOVES instructing them

tho of course my girl gets paid dust and after this time travelling fuck, trevor fitzroy, basically throws emma into a coma and kills a majority of those on the hellions

emma’s mind was still active and her body was kept at the x-mansion after this

her lil school, the mass. academy was absorbed into xavier’s, and once emma was brought to consciousness she realized this was probably the right decision all along. she also broke down when she learned what had happened to her hellion bbs. i’m Emo

she started training a new team of mutant bbs called generation x and here they learned how to be the next generation of x-men basically

tho the mass. academy closed its doors after a sentinel attack that lost her some students, and had emma kill her own sister due to revenge adrienne frost was trying to get on her sister. this is also when emma learned of her secondary mutation which is her organic, unbreakable diamond form

emma joined the xmen. most resented her but emma found a friend in beast and had a big fat crush on scott summers.

at one point she was assassinated by a former pupil who shot her in her diamond form but in a weak spot. she pretty much shattered and it took a lot of work on beast’s part to put her back together, and she was brought back to life by jean.

later she and scott became the two co-headmasters of the school and began tutoring a group called the hellions squad once a rule was put in effect for xavier’s students to break into smaller teams. she continued to serve as an x-men during this time. not many of those on the team trusted her due to her villainous past however scott, logan, and beast trusted and believed in her and that’s all she cared about tbh

With the horror challenge done, I thought I’d say which movies stuck with me the most out of my watches. This might be one of the hardest years for me to pick for this cuz I watched all kinds of movies, some I maybe never would have otherwise and enjoyed them. I’d try ranking them in a particular order but, just like last year, Idk if I could do that. I wanted to try but well... oh well. lol

1. Ready or Not - It was the first movie I watched in 2020 and it just so happened to be a horror movie, which are ones I usually don’t willingly watch until October. And yet I did, which is why I counted it towards the challenge. It still holds up as one of my favorite watches because it’s fun and smart and the cast is great. It’s something that I’ve watched multiple times since actually so you know I must love it. lol

2. The Fog - Gotta mention this one briefly because bestie Lauren recced it and I do think watching this got me really intrigued with 1980′s horror all of a sudden this year. Def made me think about picking out movies that I wouldn’t have before. Not a perfect movie but it still holds up imo. Still a classic in my book.

3. Daniel Isn’t Real - I still think about this watch sometimes. I think I’m gonna need to do a rewatch eventually to make sure whether I really did like it after all but this one had some majorly intense moments and really good acting in it. Also, it really got me to give Shudder movies a chance. heh

4. Re-Animator - Skipping right now onto this one because I still can’t fully get this watch out of my head. Despite my mixed feelings on the infamous head scene, it is a true 80′s classic. Jeffrey Combs nailed this role. This movie wasn’t afraid of taking chances. Also, it has some genuinely funny and entertaining moments.

5. From Beyond - To piggyback off from that, I also enjoyed this one. Maybe almost more in a way because I loved the role reversal between Jeffrey Combs & Barbara Crampton. Both of them were great and the concept was kinda cool. Also, once again, another movie where it took chances.

6. Upgrade - I still sometimes wonder if this counts as horror (I think you can because of the ending) but as far as watches go, this movie entertained me. I was invested from the get-go and I loved the concept. Logan Marshall-Green did such a great job.

7. The Descent - Still think this movie deserves its spot as a modern day classic. Still very glad that I finally watched it. Idk if I plan to ever rewatch it but mostly cuz those creatures creep me out. lol 

8. Revenge - As far as originality goes, it’s not very original of a concept but the execution worked for me. I rooted for Matilda Lutz’s character despite how the beginning painted her and her not speaking a single word once the 30(?? I can’t remember lol) minute mark hits. I wanted her to get her revenge. I cheered when she did.

9. Love & Monsters - Ofc this movie was gonna make its way onto this list. lol Yes, because of bb Dylan but also because I genuinely enjoyed the movie too. Once again, not a perfect movie but it was fun. I liked it.

10. Night of the Creeps - This movie was so memorable because it was so completely bonkers and fun and totally 80′s. lol This is what we call a good bad movie. To the point that it’s actually good because everyone in it was game and it’s made so earnestly you gotta respect it. Also, anything Tom Atkins said was pretty much golden. haha

11. Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein -  Gotta give credit where credit is due and say that I personally think Kenneth Brannagh pulled off a good adaptation of the novel, despite the beginning feeling very rushed and then it feeling a little long later on. There were some classic scenes in there. Also, De Niro as The Creature!

12. The Mist - Can’t not mention this movie simply because that ending stuck with me. I was emotionally invested in the story pretty much the whole time. It had some genuinely tense moments. It was a well-made movie.

13. Near Dark - As far as a last watch for a challenge goes, this ended up being a good choice because it was really solid overall with good performances and a different approach to a vampire story. Also, Bill Paxton was so good in this.

14. The Monster Squad - This movie just ended up being really cute. I’m a sucker for movies like this with kids apparently. It was fun and totally 80′s in a good way.

15. Idle Hands - This movie was so wacky but definitely memorable. It just ended up being exactly the kinda watch I needed when I watched it. Some movies don’t have to be great to be worth watching, you know?

HONORABLE MENTIONS: Maybe The Guest?? At least for that soundtrack? lol Dolls was pretty memorable too, even if it doesn’t feel as classic as Re-Animator or From Beyond from director Stuart Gordon. Also, I still can’t forget Sleepaway Camp, just cuz man, that movie was pretty risky for the time. It was cringe but still hard to forget. lol

owen: optimistic to a fault, always tryna figure out a solution but always ends up doing it the hard way, kinda dumb but doing his best, likes to complain, is lazy but still gets shit done

cam: too nice for his own good, people think he’s scary but is really a marshmallow, keeps it realistic, constantly comparing himself to brothers and feeling inadequate

margot: booksmart not streetsmart, glasses, anxious and hates public speaking, clueless about romance, always helps her friends. literally will do anything for friends.

logan: isolates himself when he’s stressed, rebels against authority when necessary, falls in love with anyone who gives him attention, tries to be cool but is really a nerd

leo: friends are family, super romantic, struggles with roommates, overthinks absolutely everything, random health issues, likes to go for drives, has squad of friends he also works with 

carter: is a writer, takes no shit, does nothing with her hair, accidentally makes fun of people too much, has no patience for passive aggression, likes facts and is kinda nosy

For the most part, no! Usually one grabs me from the get go and nothing can really sway me from them... except RoD.

RoD was the first time I created two totally different MCs because my first MC was with Colt and I needed a Logan specific playthrough. 

The Heist Monaco: What's your favorite squad/friend group?

I’m cheating here and saying my four top crews. In alphabetical order: D&D, TE, ES, PM. 

Everyone is amazing in D&D, I love the friend dynamics between Clarette and Motley Crue, I worked very hard to have everyone at friend/like status in ES, and the PM crew is ridic.

Hero: Which MC do you feel is most similar to you and why?

As far as personality, probably BB, D&D, and TE. There’s a whole lot of edgy, not give a fuck, and dumb bitch energy going on. Probably sprinkle a little ACOR vendetta attitude MC, while we’re at it. Totally identify with RoE MC because of parts of her upbringing and her Euro flings and vacation, as well. Too bad there’s no giant ass inheritance waiting for me at the end of the rainbow 😂

Dodgers vs. Giants live score, updates, highlights from 2021 NLDS Game 5

Two of MLB’s three 100-win teams remain in the playoffs. By the time Thursday night’s NLDS matchup is over, only one will remain.

The Dodgers and Giants have lived up to the hype entering the 2021 MLB postseason as the 107-win Giants and 106-win Dodgers have given baseball fans the only Division Series to end in a winner-take-all game.

Both teams are turning to pitchers who have delivered wins to their squads this postseason. The Giants will hand the ball to Logan Webb, who pitched 7.2 scoreless frames with five hits allowed and 10 strikeouts in Game 1 of the series to put San Francisco up in the series.

The Dodgers will have reliever Corey Knebel open the game after Julio Urias was originally slated to start the matchup. Urias allowed one run over five innings to the Giants in Game 2 with three hits and one walk surrendered, while striking out five. Knebel fanned two while pitching a scoreless, hitless seventh inning of that Game 2 matchup as the Dodgers finished with the 9-2 win.

11:52 p.m. End Top Eighth: One pitch, one out. Doval gets Trea Turner to fly out to right and strand the runners.

11:48 p.m.: Seager comes up empty on a slider as Rogers picks up the huge strikeout. Camilo Doval is coming in to face Trea Turner with two away.

11:44 p.m.: This time to center, but the outcome still the same: single by Betts. He’s got four hits tonight as the Dodgers now have runners on first and second with only one away.

11:41 p.m.: The Dodgers will have a one-out baserunner as Flores can’t hang on to the diving grab and Pollock is able to reach with a single.
