THE BIGGEST EXAM SENSATION IN THE COUNTRY
Board exams- a word that is often accompanied by an infusion of fear and apprehension in the mind and soul of an individual, an event in the life of every Indian student that brings with it a great amount of pressure from parental and school side, a platform to face competition for the first time and the premiere milestone in this arena of what we call life. I, having had a first hand experience of the days of the life of a tenthie, stepped into the year 2021 all set for the ICSE Class X Board Examination, ready to face whatever hurdles were thrown at me and to endure a constant insecurity about my preparation. Fresh out of my lockdown days, it took some time getting back to the regular school routine and making myself comfortable with the idea of the two semester system that the council had introduced for the board takers, owing to the extraordinary situation. The year as always began with a long lecture from our teachers about how important the following year would be, testing every bit of our patience, intellect, dedication, perseverance and all the other things required, leaving us in a bit of what felt like dilemma, that we were finally in the class everyone dreaded. All the kids, obviously to get a head start, already joined into tuition classes for all subjects but at the end of the day, it really comes down to how much you can retain and understand. The year passed by with the ever looming dread of the boards over our heads all the time, threatening and warning us. Two preboards in school made me pretty annoyed at how many times you could do the same things again and again. It turns out now when I’ve passed my class X with a whopping score of 98.4 that it was a hoax planned by our teachers. My board year was nothing like what I’d been told by people. I enjoyed it like any other and did not cut down on any of my activities or hobbies. Of course half the credit goes to my parents for not being the villains in my life and believing that I’d do well. I’m just gonna say that as long as you manage to keep a cool head and a calm aura right up to the day of the exam, trust me nothing can take those marks away from you. You need to trust the knowledge that you have, all that you’ve learnt and just give it your best shot. Coz people if you’re not the school topper or things didn’t go as planned, it’s not the end of the world please. You can plan again, try once more and you can choose your board year the way you want it to be. There are no implications on you so just work the best you can in a way that’s more convenient to you.. it does teach you a lot, somehow shapes you into a better person- someone who can handle stress when they have to. So for the people who think boards are a nightmare, guys just relax and play along because life goes on and at the end of the day, so do you.
Thanks Mom and Dad for just being there when I didn’t feel like myself at all and for not being like all the other parents, for not letting me become boring just for a board exam. By Sheryl, fresh passout from class X

“School was indeed the best art of my life... Tears roll down my eyes each time I relived my old school days... Lots of friends, unforgettable memories... One reason : School” —Ramanan
A few months ago, I changed my high school. I used to read in a ICSE Board and now I'm reading in a CBSE Board in 11th grade. I have been in my previous school for 7 years. My experience there was neither the best nor the worst. I was the average middle bencher—not the best but also not the worst! I had two 'friends'. We were a group of three. We had met in 5th grade after our homeroom teacher made our seating arrangement. Since then, we were inseparable. But after two years Lockdown, it wasn't the same. Our section changed, but they still shared a class together and they got closer. I was nearly invisible to them. I was no more invited to their plans and all. However, it was alright...I guess. I was really a quiet person and it was hard for me to talk to others, cause simply I felt unwanted. Atleast, I could still say that I had 'friends'. As time passed by, we got in 10th grade. I shared a class with one of them and there along with my friend I had met some acquaintances too. That class was quite fun but the teacher wasn't XD. I used to say that when that teacher will retire, I'll throw a party to everyone lol. She was really strict and hot tempered. But the fact I liked about her was that she treated everyone EQUALLY and didn't discriminated among us. And the rest classes was alright. I didn't really talked with anyone and just minded my own business. The only complain my parents used to get about me was that I didn't talked with anyone and was really quiet. However, I didn't do well in my Term II, I failed three exams. And that was the second time I harmed myself and the scar is still there. I was emotionally as well as mentally so drained that it was really hard for me to move on. And, after Board exam I passed out 10th grade from there. I always used to say that I would never miss this school because I had had enough.
But now, even though I do not miss any student (and probably never will) from there but I definitely miss the teachers, classes, classrooms, laboratories, playgrounds and the place. The memories there reminds me of my good days as well as bad ones :,). Not gonna lie, my previous school is better than my current one in terms of teachers, place, etc. but definitely except the students.
–» I was scrolling through the photographs of my previous School's website and thought of writing to let my emotions and thoughts out. >.<
!!!HAVE A NICE DAY EVERYONE!!!

In 2012, a listed company MT Educare (Mahesh Tutorials) acquired “lakshya”. Initially, the founders taught and mentored more than 10,000 students and trained up to 200 teachers for this venture.

Transforming Education through E-Learning
Tumblr media
Times have rapidly and drastically changed as we are in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, especially the school learning approach. Before the pandemic, it was a common sight to see students in school buses early in the mornings. However, with the lockdown demanding social distancing, the way education is imparted changed its course with the introduction of online classes.
With online school classes at home, students are facing a drastic change in their schedule. Previously, children would spend most of their time at school. Now, the tables have turned, and virtual classes have become popular. The Heritage School is one of the best ICSE schools in Dehradun that nurtures independent virtual learners in the best possible way.
Here are some ways in which online classes are transforming education for children:
Impact of Technology The recent changes have considerably increased the importance of technology. With efficient video calling applications, schools are now conducting online lessons successfully. Hence, students can continue their syllabus at home as scheduled.
Online Classrooms Many teachers from different schools believe that online teaching has turned out to be productive. Students can learn the necessary skills and knowledge at home through videos and online platforms.
Online Classes: The New Normal Before the pandemic, technology in school was put into use only when teachers required an extra helping hand for a better understanding. Now, online classes have become a part of daily life. With the inception of an online teaching system, schools are still running, different in many ways and identical in others.
To ensure that the children make the best use of online learning, ICSE school in Dehradun, The Heritage School is sharing four ways to make virtual learning more interactive and smooth.
Until it is safe to step out of homes, online classes will continue to work as a blessing in disguise.

CBSE Announcement for Class 9-12 to reduce Syllabus by 30%
Let’s fill the gap with knowledge and joy.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced on 7th July 2020 that it has decided to reduce its syllabus for class 9 to 12 for academic session 2020-2021 by up to 30%,
They clarified that this is a one-time measure to help the students prepare for the courses studied during the year and to make up for any of the chapters that may not have been completed on time.
It will also fill the gap that occurred due to the lockdown and disruption of interaction of students amongst themselves and the access to their respective teachers for appearing in their respective Examinations.
News reports show that the step was welcomed by the Teachers, Parents & the students in unison. Students happy but not celebrating. Something like a relief instead of rejoicing.

Importance Of Coaching Classes During This Pandemic Situation
Children are our future. Imparting the best education to our next generation for creating a better tomorrow and thereby build a bright future is the aim behind educating them. Our education system believes and follows the conventional classroom teaching method to impart education to the students. When everything was going on smoothly in the whole world; the sudden outburst of the Covid-19 pandemic situation brought the whole world to a standstill.
The lockdown was announced in March 2020. During this period the HSC and SSC exams are usually conducted. But due to lockdown, some exams were postponed and a few were canceled. Not knowing what is in store for our future, all entities in the education system as a whole had broken down.
