It’s absolutely wonderful as far pushing Shaw forward as a warrior because he expresses it largely as M U R D E R. He worried the spot on his neck that Soren gripped so much that it took forever to heal. After he gets back to the Vigil, it’s next to unbearable. He is surlier than ever. Soren brushes his hand when handing him something and he has to excuse himself. Shaw has never been inclined to self pleasure, but it has steadily been increasing in frequency since he made it back to the Vigil, all shamefully focusing on Soren. What a mess.✦✦✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧ | Romantic AttractionHypothetically a zero, but realistically it’s more of like a two at this point. He doesn’t view it as a possibility, but if dissected a small want for it is there. Though that small shard of it comes largely from being worried about losing him, plus the fact that he can’t imagine falling in love with someone who didn’t survive the Blight with him. It’s complicated, but all of Shaw and Soren is. It boils down to “Shaw cannot imagine spending the rest of his short life with someone who is not Soren” and “Shaw does not want to see Soren with anyone else.” Hardly romantic.

✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧ | CrushingFlat 0 lmaooooo. Unless you count “Catching Soren staring moodily out the window at their Keep and feeling his heart stutter and getting angry about that.” then it’s probably like an eight. 

✦✦✦✦✧✧✧✧✧✧ | SquishingThis is complicated. In the traditional sense it’s a flat zero. Negative, if possible. In the way that Shaw knows how to express these things? It’s probably closer to 4/10, with potential for more if they figure their shit out. ( lmao tho, right? ) Looking at Shaw and Soren’s relationship and how they run things together, Shaw can’t imagine someone else doing what Shaw does for Soren- or if he does, he gets jealous lmao. Back off Howe. Running the Wardens, the Vigil - - Shaw wants to be by Soren’s side at all times and gets upset when he has to be gone. So in Shaw’s way it’s a bit of a platonic crush, though it may actually just be codependency and separation anxiety. ✦✦✦✦✦✧✧✧✧✧ | Sensual AttractionShaw wants to be as close to Soren as reasonably possible- and he honestly misses the Blight when they would eat together, occasionally share a tent, bathe together. So this is higher than I initially anticipated. Plus, the weird humming they have in their heads when the other is around is, as you’ve stated, probably linked to the Blight + Fort Drakon but because of that there is a subconscious desire to be near the other, like Darkspawn digging in search of their gods. Does that make sense? Like how Riordan says one way or another a Warden who leaves will find his way to the Deep Roads or to Darkspawn. Like how Shaw made his way to Weisshaupt and ran back to Soren as soon as his duty was done. Still, he doesn’t like that.

✦✦✦✦✦✦✧✧✧✧ | Aesthetic AttractionWell, he’s certainly handsome and the amount of muscle he’s put on makes Shaw go partially Warrior-Male. “Train and fight!” And he finds his Creepy Eyes compelling. Points deducted for being a Blood Mage and an asshole.
