Easy Ways To Use Storage Cabinets To Keep Your Living Room Tidy
Keeping your living room tidy and organized can be a challenge, especially with all the items we accumulate over time. However, the right living room storage solutions, such as storage cabinets, tv units, and book cases, can make a significant difference. Here are some easy ways to use these pieces of furniture to create a more organized and clutter-free living space.
1. Maximize Vertical Space with Storage Cabinets
One of the best ways to manage living room storage is to make use of vertical space. Choose tall storage cabinets that can hold various items while saving floor space. You can store everything from electronics and extra blankets to decorative items. These cabinets help keep your living room neat and organized, while also adding a touch of style. Nilkamal Furniture offers high-quality storage cabinets in various sizes and designs that can blend seamlessly with your room decor.
2. TV Units with Built-In Storage
A tv unit with built-in storage is a smart choice for keeping your living room tidy. Not only does it provide a designated space for your TV, but it also offers shelves or drawers to store remote controls, gaming consoles, DVDs, and other entertainment essentials. This helps eliminate the clutter that often gathers around the TV area. Look for sleek, modern tv units from Nilkamal Furniture, which combine functionality and aesthetics to give your living room a polished, organized look.
3. Use a Book Case for Media and Decor
If you love reading or have a collection of DVDs and magazines, a book case is the perfect solution for organizing them. A book case helps keep your books and media neatly arranged, preventing them from piling up on tables or the floor. You can also use the top shelves of a book case to display decor items, creating a balanced and organized look. With a variety of book cases available from Nilkamal Furniture, you can choose one that fits your style and storage needs.
4. Keep Small Items in Drawer Units
For small items like stationery, keys, or office supplies, consider using drawer units that can be placed under a console table or beside a sofa. These units provide hidden storage while keeping everything within reach. This helps maintain a clean surface in your living room while ensuring that small, everyday items don’t create unnecessary clutter.
5. Multi-Functional Storage Furniture
Another great way to manage living room storage is by choosing multi-functional furniture. Consider storage options that also offer seating, like ottomans or coffee tables with concealed storage. These items can store things like remote controls, magazines, and blankets, keeping them hidden yet easy to reach. In conclusion, using storage cabinets, tv units, and book cases can help keep your living room tidy and organized. By choosing the right pieces from Nilkamal Furniture, you can maximize your storage space while enhancing your living room’s decor. With these simple storage solutions, you can create a clutter-free and functional living area that’s both stylish and practical.

looking over the shots of the murder hut/the early mystery shack and noticing details like the unibear being in gift shop from the start and stan rolling out the bill carpet and later putting bill in the mystery shack sign himself
the wires/machinery/door not being changed yet but it seems like the vending machine was there since early on
#also 30 years later and the price only increased by 5 bucks#bless the no cops sign#mullet stan is going through it#gravity falls#stanley pines#stan pines#mystery shack#stan eventually having to put up the employees only sign cos these yahoos keep walking into his living room#while normally i'd be acting like a feral dog over bill being in the mystery shack sign#i also know that bill wasn't decided on as the main villain until super late#oh meta knowledge spoiling my fun....#the carpet being on purpose tho cos its not in the storage room in the scene before#anyway now im just thinking about ford taking a crowbar to the sign soon after returning#i really wish there was an ep of ford reacting to the shack.... the moments in the journal isnt enough....#altho now im imagining that epilogue ep and tourists just arriving as usual cos time was stopped outside of town#and instead they find the place falling apart one confused old man and another one about to have a breakdown

You know, without context O has a lot of semi possessive/territorial seeming qualities.
I say semi and seeming because I feel like context gives it a lot more nuance.
I’m from a big family too (one of six kids, and don’t even get me started on extended family) and like O doesn’t really come off like a traditional possessive/territorial lover to me and I think it’s because they’re from a big family too.
Like you never get to have anything to yourself in a big family, especially if you’re not the youngest.
No space, privacy, clothes will definitely become hand me downs (there is something sad about both having your clothes handed down and receiving them sometimes, sometimes it’s nice. Very mixed bag experience) or your siblings will nab/borrow without permission. I shared a room until I was 16 I think (and I only got my own because my two older siblings had moved out and made room and so me and the 10 year old both got our own rooms at the same time). Like basically 90% of everything is communal (I think hygiene product wise the only thing that was sacred were toothbrushes, but only in the sharing way because my mom has definitely bleached my toothbrush to clean grout, trashed it and then not told me she assassinated my toothbrush), and often times if you’re an older sibling you become apart of the child rearing process even as you’re experiencing getting parented as well. And also I feel like parents with a lot of kids get so stressed that they really drum in the importance of sharing or any sort of golden rule or manners that emphasize mild manneredness (or maybe this is just an immigrant family thing?), even in scenarios where you absolutely shouldn’t have to (i.e. things you bought with your own money, clothes when your siblings literally have more clothes than you, etc.’) because it makes their life easier. A very much, “share your hoodie with your sister so she’ll stop complaining” situation (and it’s hard to be mad at them about it when like, it’s not malicious they are just juggling a lot). As I kid I often felt like the only thing that was truly mine were my secrets because sometimes punishments would be communal, so half the time those weren’t even mine! So like, to me, I can definitely relate to this almost zealous need to have things that are just yours. Finding your own space, having your own things, rules, and your own relationships becomes an almost religious experience, a gaping sort of need at your middle that sometimes conflicts with the ache of feeling too lonely when things are too quiet, when a younger sibling isn’t around to annoy you, or how your life doesn’t feel as lively when your mom isn’t bursting into your room without knocking (it’s not about missing the lack of autonomy, it’s just you miss them and these things remind you of them and you don’t know how to separate them from their bad habits so you miss them just as much as they drive you to insanity).
Yesssss you get it. You've worded it so beautifully.
O's on their own for the first time. They're experiencing things for the first time without having to worry about their siblings. No need to make sure it's child friendly, no need to split things evenly between them all. It's freeing yet also terrifying. Don't get them wrong, they love caring for their siblings, they dote on them endlessly. And they love taking care of Fortune as well. It's just a part of their nature. But they also love just... having things. They have their own friends, their own space, goals they can achieve and truly call their own.
It's why they revel in being the youngest now. They can act spoiled and get away with things they never have before. But some things stay the same. They know their leader is capable, but they can easily see where they stumble when watching over the group. They'll try to help them out, but how much is too much? It's hard to break bad habits and not take complete control over a situation. It's why they act more childishly than they actually are, to keep themselves from going too far. And why they also prefer to support the group from behind the scenes to make up for their leader's lack of experience.
And then they fall for the manager. And for the first time... they don't want to share. Not with their siblings or with Fortune. This strange burning feeling in their stomach telling them to keep the manager close, away from anything that might steal their attention away from O. They see how stressed and tired the manager is, and it sparks that older sibling instinct in them. They now have an outlet to release all the old habits they've buried down deep. They'll charm the manager while also become more overbearing about their well-being.
They're so selfless yet so greedy.
#bridging the gap if#ask#im a youngest sibling myself#but ive heard tons of stories from my friends who are the oldest#some good some bad#and i totally get not having your own space until a later age#i didnt get my own room until middle school#and now i live in my parents room because they turned my room into a storage room#while my sister took her old bedroom after moving back home lol

I have spent almost the entire afternoon trying to figure out a house layout i like in minecraft im a superflat world
I am definitely overthinking this
So far i have entry hallway, kitchen, dining room, fireplace, storage room, and an enchanting room which i want to move/relocate to a second floor or attic or something
I do no, however, have a bedroom location planned.
Ive got open space i dont know what time do with. But i dint want a bedroom connecting ti the entry hallway directly.
Why am i like this
#kiwi rambles#i was like#well i want mt house to have a kitchen and dining room and storage room and bedroom at least#and a cozy fireplace/living room#so i should start with determining a layout#i can copy it down onto graph paper for actually building in a game purposes#then i can worry about actually building a house later!#and here i am#not having finalized a layout yet#🤦🏻♀️

insane to think about how much raw power is collected together in the cats guild and yet from any onlookers perspective it just a bunch of college aged kids living in a house together
#rent in the capitol is so expensive you need 4 other roomates to rent a house#is what people say#the house is bigger on the inside (mochis doing)#also they have the infinate money cheat code (befriending a witch)#when taffy gets there he asks to live in the attic#he likes having a room thats slightly harder to access from the main house#she gives him the storage room on the top floor you have the seperate entrance for#(like kiki)

This is such a random question, but how would you describe Frank and Eddie's house? Is it a big one, decent sized? I wonder how they decorate the little kiddos room once they get him!
Okay okay but actually I think about this ALL the time
Because I never pictured Frank with a house. I always pictured this little apartment because they live in the city n stuff. Like the whole exposed brick walls kinda vibe but it’s incredibly small and I wanna draw it once I have a moment. But that’s where Frank lives. It’s all the space he needs for one person and whatever shitty landlord he has doesn’t really come for inspections so it’s pretty easy to hide all the murder junk when he needs to
Eddie on the other hand also has an apartment but I feel like it’s a little larger. Which like doesn’t necessarily match their jobs early on but hear me out
Frank is the type to make pretty good money and not buy really big and expensive things. Like his clothing is his nicest stuff aside from purchasing things for murders. Eddie on the other hand doesn’t selfishly spend or anything but he puts in a lot of money towards his living space to make it really comfy
#like Frank probably has some house plants and some potted plants out by his window#and he does have his many frames with bugs n things#like it’s homey but at first glance it’s like a bare bones apartment#eddie puts in more effort to make things comfy and make his living space his own special space#and I just know he was happy to drag some of franks things over there because that meant it got to be franks home too#crime puppets au#thing is though neither of them technically had the room for a child I don’t think#like I believe Eddie had a small guest room he used for storage if I recall some of my daydreams currently 😂#so I think Jamie went in there and Eddie watched him a little more often#oh yeah I picked Jamie btw that’s the kids name

#thinking of dinosaurs and troodontids were my favorite dinosaurs as a child#when younger i had a real full troodontid tooth fossil that meant a lot to me#for a time we lived within a few kilometers of hadrosaur sites and troodontid sites#while wider general area had many sites of recovery for the big celebrities like tyrannosaur and multiple dromaeosaurs#at that time troodontids were kinda infamous for i think the depiction in some childrens field guides and dino books#which depicted like a fantasy speculative humanoid troodontid based on 1980s model at Canadian Museum of Nature in ottawa#anyway would visit a small local paleo center a lot and woman in her 70s or 80s ran the counter of their center and rock shop#one day she asked me what my fave dino was and i said troodon so she pulled out the tooth and just gifted it to me#in little black case size of ring box with padding and transparent plastic viewing cover kinda like laminate for displaying a trading card#tooth got stolen from out my vehicle while giving some people a ride while at university before i got too poor for tuition#later during first year of pandemic owner of my storage unit died and new property owners threw away everything i ever owned#i was homeless anyway lost job due to early pandemic closures and had to allocate any money to insulin and other prescrip meds#but wouldve found a way to save my things if the new owners had contacted me#they threw out photoalbums y backpacking gear y books y musical instruments y clothes y artwork y camera y all family keepsakes#and all childhood treasures like souvenirs and gifts and school awards and writing portfolios and all the little memories#which i was always sentimental about as child#from earliest age my room looked like a natural history museum with plants and maps and library of field guides#and rocks and field trip keepsakes and all kinds of little animal figurines and mother had painted room in forest greens and browns#to feel like a forest and among the succulent plants and a globe sat the troodon tooth#parents passed when i was a child#never near any family and were always moving never got to settle into proper stable place then father passed after long sad illness#and mother put in so much effort but she passed few years later and i could not take care of myself or my remaining material possessions#and so im still quite hurt having nothing whatsoever remaining of my childhood or school friends or mother or life generally#and when trying to process grief my thoughts often come back to the troodontid tooth as a focal point a distillation of what was lost#even when young i knew it was advised not to become too connected to material physical possessions#but still there are some small little trinkets in our lives that seem to hold so much meaning and i tortured myself for losing that tooth#thinking about troodon reminds me of childhood

I have officially started painting the walls in the living room.
well, I've mixed/adjusted the paint and painted some swatches and put up masking tape and all that stuff. I'll be painting tomorrow. I'm so excited (to get started, but mostly that I'll finally be all done with evvvverything*)
*until I think of the next thing I want to do, and the next one after that, and -
#I'm just so damn happy I actually managed to get everything else done today!! the living room was a mess before#well it's even worse right now but that's because all the furniture is in the middle of the room lol#but yeah I finished unpacking almost everything (there's still a few boxes with like old memory stuff etc. in the storage room but that#doesn't count because we don't use or need that stuff)#and I cleaned and I did the laundry and I put away (some) clean laundry and I blocked most of the bunting for the birthday garland I'm#making and I tidied everything and I fixed a bunch of things and#okay I think that's all#but hey that's kind of a lot?#idk but it definitely is for me#I think I sat down for maaaybe an hour or two the entire day?? that's. actually concerning and it explains the pain in my feet oh no#sometimes when I'm walking (not standing) I don't notice the pain until it's too late...#well shit I hope I'll be able to actually paint tomorrow lol. guess I'll have to sit down for some of it but I did that last time too and it#was alright#personal

“modern”!au maegor
maegor, in his prime, was a champion bare knuckle boxer. managed by his dear mommy visenya. he was built like a brick shithouse and hit like a wrecking ball. no one could stand against him in the ring. until one day he got hit so hard his heart stopped. visenya scrambled into the ring and did the chest compressions herself until the medics arrived. they were able to revive him but he was in a coma for about a week. when he woke up… something was different. hes killed at least one person in the ring. he was eventually banned from competing, and thats when things started to get darker. maegor got involved in dog fighting, in the exotic animal trade. there were rumors about human trafficking. he was arrested and tried for kidnapping his nieces and nephews, but visenya has friends in low places and was able to get him a mob lawyer who got him off on child endangerment. after visenya dies maegor rapidly looses whatever plot he was clinging too. he sells his house and moves into a shitty apartment. he starts cooking crack. two years later police kick his door down after one of his neighbors calls complaining about a ‘smell’. maegor is found in active decay with obvious signs of a struggle around his apartment. his family is not interested or cooperating with the investigation.
#other than the roaches rats and maggots the only living thing in his apartment is a weird black snake#that snake gets shoved in a pillowcase and handed off to a teenage jaehaerys#who puts him in a 10 gal tank with some paper towels in the bottom and thats were he stays for 40+ years#until vis finds him while snooping around in grandpas storage room#rot.txt#modern au#i love my silly modern au
