Easy Ways To Use Storage Cabinets To Keep Your Living Room Tidy
Keeping your living room tidy and organized can be a challenge, especially with all the items we accumulate over time. However, the right living room storage solutions, such as storage cabinets, tv units, and book cases, can make a significant difference. Here are some easy ways to use these pieces of furniture to create a more organized and clutter-free living space.
1. Maximize Vertical Space with Storage Cabinets
One of the best ways to manage living room storage is to make use of vertical space. Choose tall storage cabinets that can hold various items while saving floor space. You can store everything from electronics and extra blankets to decorative items. These cabinets help keep your living room neat and organized, while also adding a touch of style. Nilkamal Furniture offers high-quality storage cabinets in various sizes and designs that can blend seamlessly with your room decor.
2. TV Units with Built-In Storage
A tv unit with built-in storage is a smart choice for keeping your living room tidy. Not only does it provide a designated space for your TV, but it also offers shelves or drawers to store remote controls, gaming consoles, DVDs, and other entertainment essentials. This helps eliminate the clutter that often gathers around the TV area. Look for sleek, modern tv units from Nilkamal Furniture, which combine functionality and aesthetics to give your living room a polished, organized look.
3. Use a Book Case for Media and Decor
If you love reading or have a collection of DVDs and magazines, a book case is the perfect solution for organizing them. A book case helps keep your books and media neatly arranged, preventing them from piling up on tables or the floor. You can also use the top shelves of a book case to display decor items, creating a balanced and organized look. With a variety of book cases available from Nilkamal Furniture, you can choose one that fits your style and storage needs.
4. Keep Small Items in Drawer Units
For small items like stationery, keys, or office supplies, consider using drawer units that can be placed under a console table or beside a sofa. These units provide hidden storage while keeping everything within reach. This helps maintain a clean surface in your living room while ensuring that small, everyday items don’t create unnecessary clutter.
5. Multi-Functional Storage Furniture
Another great way to manage living room storage is by choosing multi-functional furniture. Consider storage options that also offer seating, like ottomans or coffee tables with concealed storage. These items can store things like remote controls, magazines, and blankets, keeping them hidden yet easy to reach. In conclusion, using storage cabinets, tv units, and book cases can help keep your living room tidy and organized. By choosing the right pieces from Nilkamal Furniture, you can maximize your storage space while enhancing your living room’s decor. With these simple storage solutions, you can create a clutter-free and functional living area that’s both stylish and practical.

You know, without context O has a lot of semi possessive/territorial seeming qualities.
I say semi and seeming because I feel like context gives it a lot more nuance.
I’m from a big family too (one of six kids, and don’t even get me started on extended family) and like O doesn’t really come off like a traditional possessive/territorial lover to me and I think it’s because they’re from a big family too.
Like you never get to have anything to yourself in a big family, especially if you’re not the youngest.
No space, privacy, clothes will definitely become hand me downs (there is something sad about both having your clothes handed down and receiving them sometimes, sometimes it’s nice. Very mixed bag experience) or your siblings will nab/borrow without permission. I shared a room until I was 16 I think (and I only got my own because my two older siblings had moved out and made room and so me and the 10 year old both got our own rooms at the same time). Like basically 90% of everything is communal (I think hygiene product wise the only thing that was sacred were toothbrushes, but only in the sharing way because my mom has definitely bleached my toothbrush to clean grout, trashed it and then not told me she assassinated my toothbrush), and often times if you’re an older sibling you become apart of the child rearing process even as you’re experiencing getting parented as well. And also I feel like parents with a lot of kids get so stressed that they really drum in the importance of sharing or any sort of golden rule or manners that emphasize mild manneredness (or maybe this is just an immigrant family thing?), even in scenarios where you absolutely shouldn’t have to (i.e. things you bought with your own money, clothes when your siblings literally have more clothes than you, etc.’) because it makes their life easier. A very much, “share your hoodie with your sister so she’ll stop complaining” situation (and it’s hard to be mad at them about it when like, it’s not malicious they are just juggling a lot). As I kid I often felt like the only thing that was truly mine were my secrets because sometimes punishments would be communal, so half the time those weren’t even mine! So like, to me, I can definitely relate to this almost zealous need to have things that are just yours. Finding your own space, having your own things, rules, and your own relationships becomes an almost religious experience, a gaping sort of need at your middle that sometimes conflicts with the ache of feeling too lonely when things are too quiet, when a younger sibling isn’t around to annoy you, or how your life doesn’t feel as lively when your mom isn’t bursting into your room without knocking (it’s not about missing the lack of autonomy, it’s just you miss them and these things remind you of them and you don’t know how to separate them from their bad habits so you miss them just as much as they drive you to insanity).

Yesssss you get it. You've worded it so beautifully.
O's on their own for the first time. They're experiencing things for the first time without having to worry about their siblings. No need to make sure it's child friendly, no need to split things evenly between them all. It's freeing yet also terrifying. Don't get them wrong, they love caring for their siblings, they dote on them endlessly. And they love taking care of Fortune as well. It's just a part of their nature. But they also love just... having things. They have their own friends, their own space, goals they can achieve and truly call their own.
It's why they revel in being the youngest now. They can act spoiled and get away with things they never have before. But some things stay the same. They know their leader is capable, but they can easily see where they stumble when watching over the group. They'll try to help them out, but how much is too much? It's hard to break bad habits and not take complete control over a situation. It's why they act more childishly than they actually are, to keep themselves from going too far. And why they also prefer to support the group from behind the scenes to make up for their leader's lack of experience.
And then they fall for the manager. And for the first time... they don't want to share. Not with their siblings or with Fortune. This strange burning feeling in their stomach telling them to keep the manager close, away from anything that might steal their attention away from O. They see how stressed and tired the manager is, and it sparks that older sibling instinct in them. They now have an outlet to release all the old habits they've buried down deep. They'll charm the manager while also become more overbearing about their well-being.
They're so selfless yet so greedy.

This is such a random question, but how would you describe Frank and Eddie's house? Is it a big one, decent sized? I wonder how they decorate the little kiddos room once they get him!
Okay okay but actually I think about this ALL the time
Because I never pictured Frank with a house. I always pictured this little apartment because they live in the city n stuff. Like the whole exposed brick walls kinda vibe but it’s incredibly small and I wanna draw it once I have a moment. But that’s where Frank lives. It’s all the space he needs for one person and whatever shitty landlord he has doesn’t really come for inspections so it’s pretty easy to hide all the murder junk when he needs to
Eddie on the other hand also has an apartment but I feel like it’s a little larger. Which like doesn’t necessarily match their jobs early on but hear me out
Frank is the type to make pretty good money and not buy really big and expensive things. Like his clothing is his nicest stuff aside from purchasing things for murders. Eddie on the other hand doesn’t selfishly spend or anything but he puts in a lot of money towards his living space to make it really comfy

#thinking of dinosaurs and troodontids were my favorite dinosaurs as a child#when younger i had a real full troodontid tooth fossil that meant a lot to me#for a time we lived within a few kilometers of hadrosaur sites and troodontid sites#while wider general area had many sites of recovery for the big celebrities like tyrannosaur and multiple dromaeosaurs#at that time troodontids were kinda infamous for i think the depiction in some childrens field guides and dino books#which depicted like a fantasy speculative humanoid troodontid based on 1980s model at Canadian Museum of Nature in ottawa#anyway would visit a small local paleo center a lot and woman in her 70s or 80s ran the counter of their center and rock shop#one day she asked me what my fave dino was and i said troodon so she pulled out the tooth and just gifted it to me#in little black case size of ring box with padding and transparent plastic viewing cover kinda like laminate for displaying a trading card#tooth got stolen from out my vehicle while giving some people a ride while at university before i got too poor for tuition#later during first year of pandemic owner of my storage unit died and new property owners threw away everything i ever owned#i was homeless anyway lost job due to early pandemic closures and had to allocate any money to insulin and other prescrip meds#but wouldve found a way to save my things if the new owners had contacted me#they threw out photoalbums y backpacking gear y books y musical instruments y clothes y artwork y camera y all family keepsakes#and all childhood treasures like souvenirs and gifts and school awards and writing portfolios and all the little memories#which i was always sentimental about as child#from earliest age my room looked like a natural history museum with plants and maps and library of field guides#and rocks and field trip keepsakes and all kinds of little animal figurines and mother had painted room in forest greens and browns#to feel like a forest and among the succulent plants and a globe sat the troodon tooth#parents passed when i was a child#never near any family and were always moving never got to settle into proper stable place then father passed after long sad illness#and mother put in so much effort but she passed few years later and i could not take care of myself or my remaining material possessions#and so im still quite hurt having nothing whatsoever remaining of my childhood or school friends or mother or life generally#and when trying to process grief my thoughts often come back to the troodontid tooth as a focal point a distillation of what was lost#even when young i knew it was advised not to become too connected to material physical possessions#but still there are some small little trinkets in our lives that seem to hold so much meaning and i tortured myself for losing that tooth#thinking about troodon reminds me of childhood

“modern”!au maegor
maegor, in his prime, was a champion bare knuckle boxer. managed by his dear mommy visenya. he was built like a brick shithouse and hit like a wrecking ball. no one could stand against him in the ring. until one day he got hit so hard his heart stopped. visenya scrambled into the ring and did the chest compressions herself until the medics arrived. they were able to revive him but he was in a coma for about a week. when he woke up… something was different. hes killed at least one person in the ring. he was eventually banned from competing, and thats when things started to get darker. maegor got involved in dog fighting, in the exotic animal trade. there were rumors about human trafficking. he was arrested and tried for kidnapping his nieces and nephews, but visenya has friends in low places and was able to get him a mob lawyer who got him off on child endangerment. after visenya dies maegor rapidly looses whatever plot he was clinging too. he sells his house and moves into a shitty apartment. he starts cooking crack. two years later police kick his door down after one of his neighbors calls complaining about a ‘smell’. maegor is found in active decay with obvious signs of a struggle around his apartment. his family is not interested or cooperating with the investigation.
