So.... why'd Peri get assigned Dev as his first godchild?

Jorgen’s usually not the one in charge of assigning godchildren. There’s an entire department that weighs and classifies potentail Godkids to the right Fairy. Although it’s on strike at the moment.

So Jorgen has to do it by hand, until the union negotiations are resolved. Turns out trying to use paperclips is very hard. Itty bitty paperclips. Big muscular biceps. Not a good combo.

#personal #i'm going to ramble and drop it all in the tags #i'd like to have a pity party for myself thanks #the election?#fucked i've just been scrambling for a week now to prepare for the worst that feels like it's rapidly approaching #vaccines updated birth control bought out stockpile of food started passport appointments made tasers and protective gear purchased #banned books put on a wishlist #the holidays?#trying to make them enjoyable instead of so so so triggering #husband's new job?#barely home he's barely home i feel like a solo parent #i'm absolutely drowing at home mainly alone with two toddlers who have found their spirit and resilience and attitude...#the new house?#we've been fighting we are not vibing it's taking forever for me to feel in love with it #we do not get along rn lol #writing? personal time? self care? nonexistent i have no time alone during the day and then i spend the two hours i have to myself at night #fighting sleep and doing nothing #took a shower today and when i got out my eyelash line started burning and then my eyes were burning and then my nose was running and #then my eyes were watering and i could barely open them and goop started building and then they were SWOLLEN to the point where i could see #the muscles bulging and then i couldn't move them left or right #so i drove I DROVE myself to the urgent care #turns out my water has way too much chlorine in it and now that i've started taking hot as fuck and steamy showers it's just made me #susceptible to severe allergic reactions to chlorine?#it's been horrible my eyes are so sore now and they're just now not sopping in goop #and yeah #just...#i live the same day every day and i'm spiraling and drowning and about to go off the rails while also trying to SUCK THE JOY out of the las #month we have before democracy crumbles so #i just wish i had a Daddy to take care of me and tell me things are going to be okay 😭#preferably a Big Daddy that would let me sleep for days and would bring me food and let me hug and snuggle on him and not talk

#what a week i have had tumblr!!!#you may remember my new dog from last weekend! her name is back to foxy and will remain as such <3 #i have been sick this week and very miserable and i become an emotional mess when i am sick so i have been #EXTREMELY overwhelmed with foxy </3 #BUT !!!! i finally feel better today and i also feel better with my new fuzzy friend!!!#i have figured out what i need in my day to not be completely overwhelmed and i think i will no longer have any meltdowns about her #foxy is doing well and our other dogs are adjusting well to her presence!! i think she and bear will grow to be great friends #she still has her stitches from being spayed but when they come out next week she'll be able to play more & i think they'll both enjoy that #unfortunately i have gotten literally no reading done since she came to live with us so RIP to my readathon but that is okay!! in good news #i HAVE watched almost all of the good place this week bc it's what i watch when i'm sick & even though i'm not sick anymore i'm Invested #okay life update over it's almost foxy's bedtime so i must go!! anyway ily gay people in my phone <3333 #personal post

#song of the day #'I don't ask for much / truth be told I'd settle / for a life less frightening'#another song that when I sing it alone it doesn't sound much like the original but I do so like to sing it #check me stirring my roux humming 'these lives we live test negative for happiness' sweetly to myself #today was Friday and I'm still trying to decide if I'm satisfied with the amount of work I got done this week #I suppose I'll have to be #I had my weekly report meeting and again the updates my boss asked for in the meeting were not the ones she asked me to prepare #so I split-screened her and delivered the prepared updates as I frantically opened and updated the new request #and then when she finished making politely falsely interested sounds (I'm not bitter I'm not I'm not) she asked again for the new update #and by then I had it ready! saved it as I brought up the share-screen and showed it to her #too frustrated in the moment to be properly proud of myself but now it's hours later and I'm feeling a little smug about it #little back-pats for me #I have something like a project timeline worked out for the idiot project #and I did some good work in the garden (nasturtium growing up the post under the bird feeder. very pleased it took the transplant so well)#and I sooooort of sorted the freezer stuff. kind of. mostly we ate the things I wanted to rearrange but I've got a plan for moving forward #the last non-work thing I'd really wanted to accomplish this week was getting my queue set up again here #I've gone through my drafts and done some prep but as you can see the queue isn't actually running again yet #hopefully I'll do that tomorrow. we'll see how it goes #the queue may have to wait until Sunday because I must confess if I can accomplish only one single solitary thing tomorrow #I would like it to be six hours of uninterrupted sleep. may it please the gods I shall rest tomorrow. blessed weekend #edit: wait wait I'm a fool I'm a fool I just typed 'May 3' and still I am a fool #it's May the Fourth!!#happy star wars day my loves if I don't get the queue up today after all #it's because I'm reshuffling everything because I've got a new influx of SW posts to distribute!!

i'm planning next week's picnic like if one thing goes wrong i'll be publicly beheaded. i'm locked in to such an absurd degree.

#also never shopping in my nearest town again maybe #i saw my cousin's ex who lives an hour away and her friend together which is so....... like wow i really thought i'd seen the last of him #very messy situation #started talking to a cashier/stocker i've spoken with on occasion for several years and she showed me some of her art & poetry (???)#got in line in front of one of my former classmate's dads who tried to proposition me right after my mom died #went to the new dollar store which has four self checkouts & one manned‚ tried to use a self checkout and the cashier said #'we don't have self checkouts' i said 'do you mean today or period' she said 'period' and we discussed how badly that's got them fucked up #they're literally running one of the self checkouts as a manned checkout when things get busy like...#and it was JUST built!! like just less than a year ago i think #i always come home from that town wanting to pull my hair out it's sooo strange!! like everything is craaazy #i also got fucking scammed!#i forgot to check until just now but the grocery store likes to run a weekly sale then not update the computers to reflect it #like they've done this for years and years #and i paid $1.99/lb for apples that were marked down to $1.12/lb so i overpaid a damn dollar #during the panini when it was my only source of groceries sometimes the difference would literally be like $50 because of big ticket items #i'd usually walk out‚ unload and read the receipt‚ then walk back in and get my refund. every friday.#and if i didn't i'd be out like $100/month for nothing on top of everything costing double what it did in the city #that place is fucking cursed. like there's just layers and layers of misery covering every surface.#adam yaps

the perspective of looking at new jersey apartments again makes me glad im living where im at now, honestly ... ^^ ''

#i SO wish i could hop over there though ... the price of living is SOOO high and the pay doesnt match even a little #its bad everywhere .. but new jersey's got a special kind of sickness like that because of its nyc proximity #everyone lives there and commutes to the city like 1.5hrs away for the better pay . but i just lived there lol #i feel like compared to here everything in jersey's tinged an ''old'' way ..#i dont know how to describe it but EVERYTHING from the stores to the apartments has a ''grandma's house'' feel #a ''hasn't been updated in 40+ years'' feel #and austin's so new and booming. apparently. but i agree it doesnt have that old tinge to it #the apartment im living in isnt new. but it isnt old either. it doesnt have the feel to it #i thought it was just nostalgia speaking but looking at nj apartments today was like. oh wow. its nice to know im not going crazy #this same apartment in nj would be SO SO SO much more expensive. people here complain about prices (they SHOULD. its bad)#but looking at where i was and why i HAD to move elsewhere .. i remember now yknow. this place is a luxury i could never have had in nj #which doesnt mean its good. its sad. i wish things were different. i DO .. sort of .. wish i never moved out here to begin with #but im glad im here. i feel like ... you know when a hero goes on a quest and makes friends along the way and then .. doesnt return home ..#even though the quest was supposed to be a transitory period .. yknow .. maybe im just home now #atleast awhile longer. im happy calling here home awhile longer #i do kinda miss that old tinge to it. i always said everything in nj was like .. ''tinged yellow '' .. and it really is. yknow.#i just need to put some antiques and lighting into my apartment. lol. feels just like home

The next KNPS chapter will be up today but they've fucked my work schedule around again so I'm working a Sunday for the first time since February. It'll be later than usual. Might switch my update day to Monday for a bit since I'm working at least the next few Sundays. We'll see.
