The Lion in the Jungle Shows No Shame
summary: you go into labour
warnings: some minor mention of contractions but thatâs it
a/n: rich!reader is me; not the rich part, but the so over everyone part
word count: 1.7k
-
The boardroom at the training ground is frigid, an oppressive sort of sterile, painted in a corporate beige so calculatedly devoid of warmth it borders on offensive. The colour has clearly been chosen by a committee, signed off by no less than five department heads, all with the express goal of sapping any ounce of levity from the room. The walls bear only the clubâs logo in gleaming gold, catching the light like a freshly polished trophy, austere and daunting. Youâre seated at the head of the table in a chair meant to look sleek and modern but which youâve always thought resembles a throne, albeit a minimalist, joyless one. You take pride in this spot, preferring the vantage point of a monarch observing her court, where each word, each glance can be read as an unspoken directive. A panel of finance officers sits to your left, expressionless and obedient, while the marketing strategists and department heads to your right wait, perched on the edge of their seats, eager to impress, or perhaps, not be dismissed. Youâve made your mind up on all of their fates already, but they donât need to know that.
You sit back, legs crossed, and let your gaze drift to the person currently holding courtâa sponsorship officer droning on about a potential partnership with an energy drink. The whole affair is tedious, but you feign interest, allowing only a flicker of annoyance to register as you twist the cap of your Montblanc in slow, deliberate turns, a small, repetitive comfort amidst the boredom. The sponsorship officer is yammering on about margins and high-profile market share. You nod, keeping your expression intentionally neutral, a carefully cultivated mask of polite detachment.
Nine months pregnant isnât ideal, but that doesnât mean anyone gets a pass. If youâre still here, they have no excuse for underperforming. Youâve kept every meeting, every review, every grueling evaluation on schedule, so thereâs no room for them to slip up. Your presence is a reminder that leadership doesnât come with compromises or concessionsânot even now. Alexia might have opinions about it, but she knows better than to question your commitment. At least, thatâs what you tell yourself.
Then, thereâs a twingeâa faint prickling in your lower back. You tell yourself itâs nothing, just the sort of trivial discomfort youâve brushed off for weeks now. You shift slightly, adjusting in your seat. Subtle, hardly noticeable. But someoneâsome unfortunate junior in marketing, possibly fresh out of his MBA programme and clearly untrained in discretionâglances over. He catches it, the flicker of discomfort. Thereâs the faintest suggestion of concern on his face, a furrowed brow, a hesitant question half-formed before he thinks better of it.
Good.
You meet his gaze and reward him with a smileâhalf genuine, mostly a warning. He gulps, as if heâs swallowed something sharp, and turns his attention back to his notes.
Then the pain intensifies, sharper this time. It tightens low and fierce, radiating like an overstretched muscle, and you have to will your expression to remain steady, blank, entirely unaffected. Your eyes fixate on the PowerPoint slide, as if by staring hard enough you can dissolve the discomfort into the soulless white glow of the projector. But no, itâs there, settling in like an uninvited guest who intends to stay.
The marketing intern glances up again. This time, he actually manages a look of pity. Heâs hardly subtle about it. You almost laughâalmostâexcept the contraction twists hard enough to force you to hold your breath, and your fingers press a touch too hard against the table.
The finance officer drones on, oblivious, his voice a steady monotone against the quiet hum of the air conditioning. Someone in the corner clears their throat. The sound cuts through the room like a scalpel.
âMaâam,â he says, hesitant, looking anywhere but at you. âIf youâd like to take a breakââ
You wave him off with a flick of your wrist. âIâm perfectly fine. Letâs keep this moving, please.â Your words are clipped, precise, the kind that leave no room for doubt. You feel the weight of the roomâs collective discomfort settle around you, like fog gathering, thick and stifling. The intern looks at you again, wide-eyed, uncertain, and you catch his gaze with a look so cold he almost recoils.
âOf course,â he mumbles, fumbling with his laptop, frantically tapping keys as if the sheer speed of his typing will save him from your wrath.
The next contraction slams into you with a ferocity that makes your breath hitch. A sharper, hotter pain spirals down your spine, and you grip the edge of the table, harder this time. The finance officer is rambling about revenue share and high-growth potential, but his words are disintegrating, merging into the mechanical hum of the fluorescent lights overhead, until theyâre nothing but a dull, meaningless drone.
âMaâam?â The intern speaks again, tentatively. âAre you sure youâre⌠alright?â
You turn to him with a look that could shatter glass. âDo I look unwell to you?â
His face drains of colour. âNo, of course not,â he stammers. âJust⌠checkingâ
There it is again, that shift. Itâs slight but palpable, a crack in the air. Power slipping. The assistant to your left, normally so silent and obedient, dares to glance your way with what might be concern. Another staffer coughs, hiding his expression in a notebook, though you can see his eyes darting nervously across the table. Theyâre all shifting now, uncomfortable, glancing at each other in a silent exchange, a web of tension growing thicker with each stolen glance.
You grit your teeth, willing the pain to dissipate, willing them all to get back to their work and stopâjust stop looking at you like youâre some fragile artefact about to shatter.
Then, your assistant, Julian, a man so dependable youâd have trusted him with your life savings, makes the first move. He stands, smoothing his tie, clearing his throat in a way thatâs maddeningly self-assured. âI think we need to get someone,â he says, his voice gentle but insistent, like a fatherly reprimand. âJust⌠in caseâ
Your eyes narrow into slits. âSit down,â you say, your voice a low, dangerous murmur. âNowâ
He hesitates, and the silence stretches, taut as a wire. Then, inexplicably, he defies you. âIâm calling Alexia,â he says. His voice is barely above a whisper, but it cuts through the silence like a blade.
The shock is visceral, immediate. You can feel it rippling through the room, see it in the furtive glances darting across the table. You, the unassailable chief, suddenly vulnerable, and worse, defied. You hear murmurs, soft but unmissable, as if theyâre collectively holding their breath, waiting for you to explode.
Alexia. Coming here. The idea sends a fresh wave of mortification rolling through you, sharper and hotter than any contraction. Alexia, with her bluntness, her inability to mince words. Sheâll walk in here, sheâll see you, and sheâll say exactly what sheâs thinking, in front of everyone.
The finance officer clears his throat again, shifting uncomfortably in his chair. âMaybe we should⌠reconvene another time?â He avoids your gaze, wisely. His voice is tentative, as though heâs testing the air for danger.
âAbsolutely not,â you bite out, voice like ice. âWeâre finishing this meeting. Right nowâ
But itâs too late. The tension is too thick, the unease in the room too palpable to ignore. You can feel their eyes on you, hesitant, searching, a quiet mutiny blooming under their skin, as though youâre something fragile, a rare beast they donât quite know how to handle. You grip the edge of the table again, willing the pain to subside, to vanish, anything to regain control of the situation.
Then, the door swings open, and there she is: Alexia, in her training kit, her hair damp with sweat, her eyes blazing with a fury so palpable it sends a ripple of shock through the room. She locks eyes with you, her expression a lethal blend of exasperation and concern. The silence deepens, everyone watching with barely concealed curiosity.
âYouâre still here,â she says, each word clipped and loaded, a statement more than a question. It lands like a slap.
You force a smile, though itâs tight and strained. âIâm fineâ
She sweeps a gaze across the room, her eyes taking in the faces of your subordinates, each one frozen in various states of unease and fascination. When she looks back at you, her expression is a mix of incredulity and⌠pity. She almost smirks, as if to say, Look at you now.
âYouâre in labour,â she says, loud enough for everyone to hear, her voice filled with a quiet, unmistakable fury. âAnd youâre⌠what? Leading a meeting?â
You can feel the weight of their stares, the barely-concealed smirks, the disbelief. You, their fearless leader, brought low, bossed around by your own spouse in front of them. You can already hear the whispers, the knowing chuckles that will ripple through the ranks for weeks, the stories that will morph and grow.
âI really donât think this is necessary,â you manage, but your voice is weak, a mere shadow of its usual authority.
âNecessary?â Alexia repeats, crossing her arms. âYou think itâs not necessary to go to the hospital when youâre about to give birth?â
Someone stifles a laughâan intern, no less. You shoot him a look that promises retribution, but itâs lost amidst the pain that surges again, more intense, unrelenting. Then, Alexiaâs arm is around you, firm yet gentle, steering you toward the door with a resolve thatâs unyielding.
You give one last, desperate protest. âThereâs no need to make a fuss. Really, Iââ
âEnough,â she says, and her voice is a balm, a force, something that both steadies and infuriates you. Her arm around you is warm, grounding, and for a moment, your frustration melts, replaced by something softer, something you wonât allow yourself to name.
As Alexia guides you out, you catch a final glimpse of the boardroom, your staff looking back at you with expressions ranging from bemused pity to unspoken amusement. You know, with chilling certainty, that this will be the story of the month, if not the year. But with Alexiaâs arm wrapped around you, her presence beside you, that irritation begins to fade.
The door closes, sealing you from their whispers, from their smirks. Just this once, you let it go.

Surprise Surprise
Ruhn Danaan x Female Reader || WC: 4.2k || Warnings: Violence, fighting, blood and injuries, alcohol, and smut.
Summary: Ruhn and reader celebrate her birthday in a rented out movie theater. Based off this request.
A/N: happy birthday bestie @historygeekqueen â¤ď¸ i hope you like it !!
****
Youâve known who âRuhn Danaan The Crown Prince of the Valbaran Faeâ is ever since you could remember but you only met him almost a year ago.Â
When he arrested you at the White Raven after you got into a fight with a lion-shifter after overhearing him talk shit about your cousin Tristan Flynn while you were celebrating getting hired as the clubâs new bartender with your friends. Apparently his girlfriend had left him for Tristan instead and he was shit-talking him to another shifter.
You and Tristan didnât look alike at all and even though you were only in your early 20âs, you were extremely closeâhe was the big brother you never had.Â
It wasnât the first time you got into a fight defending him and it wouldnât be the last. Heâs gotten into his fair share of fights defending you too. Which was why you didnât think twice before punching the lion-shifter in the nose after you threw your drink in his face. A wicked grin settling over your lips as you heard a loud crunch and seconds later the tangy scent of copper filled your nose.Â
You two traded blows before the other shifterâhis friendâstarted swinging at you too when he noticed all your blows were landing and not the other way around. You dodged or blocked most of their hits but since it was two of them, some of them did land. But still almost all of yours were hitting their mark. Thanks to Tristan teaching you how to fight.
The Aux was there not even five minutes after the fight started. You felt strong armsâundoubtedly male by his scentâwrap around you right as you were about to land a blow that would hopefully knock the lion-shifter out. His friend was already laid out on the floor, unconscious.Â
Your chest was still heaving slightly with effort. Your heartbeat wildly because of all the adrenaline. And you didnât have to look at your hands to know your knuckles were most likely split, swollen and bruised. No doubt covered in blood. Theirs and yours.Â
Groaning internally thinking about what you must look like.Â
You tried lifting a hand to your lip that was throbbing but as soon as your arm shifted the tiniest bit, the arms that were wrapped around you clamped down harder.Â
The male was practically carrying you out of the White Raven and towards one of the Auxâs patrol cars.Â
âWhereâs Flynn? I need Tristan!â You said to the male. Trying to turn in his arms to face him. You were just about to ask for your cousin again when his deep, sensual, voice filled your ears.Â
âJust because you two had a one night stand doesnât mean heâs gonna come and save you.â You could practically hear his eye roll as he put you in the back of the car. Seconds later the driverâs side door opened and the male slid in. Leaning your head back on the head rest, you let a knowing smirk grace your lips, feeling a slight sting as the split in it opened again. âWhat are you smirking at?â The male snapped.Â
You didnât open your eyes, settling further into the backseat, âYouâll see.â He was probably some Aux grunt and Tristan was going to rip into him.Â
Ten minutes later you pull into the parking garage located underneath the Aux. You didnât say anything to the male as he led you into the building and towards one of the interrogation rooms.Â
A frown settling over your features as you took in your ripped dress while the male cuffed you to the metal table. You were so focused on your dress that you didnât notice the way his eyes looked you over. Lingering on your thighs. He was already at the door when your voice halted him mid-step, âFlynn?â You asked, voice full of hope.
He didnât respond; he only lingered in the door for a second longer before shutting it harder than necessary.Â
You sigh, hanging your head and itâs only a couple minutes later that you realize that your dress had ridden up. Thick thighs on full display. You wouldnât be surprised if the male had seen your black lace panties.
Letting out an annoyed huff, you look between your hands cuffed to the metal table and your thighs. Only letting a heartbeat pass before deciding to break the cuffs.Â
And as soon as you stand up to adjust your dress two males walk through the door. The both of them just stare at you as you shrug, âI had to fix my dress,â you explain.Â
The white-haired male scoffs at you as you sit back down, crossing one leg over the other. But the raven-haired male stares at your thighs unabashedly before lifting his gaze to the deep cut of your dressâso blue itâs almost black depending on the way light hits itâwhere it lingers before meeting your eyes.Â
Tilting your head to the side, âYou look familiar,â you say to the raven-haired male.Â
He doesnât take his eyes off of you as he directs his words to male next to him, âGo get her some water. She needs to sober up.â
âNo. I only had a few drinks.â In other words, youâre not that drunk.Â
âGo.â He commands the other male and he leaves.
âWhereâs Tristan?â
âHeâs not coming, let it go.â
âCall him.â You grit out, your annoyance dripping off of every word.
âNo. Heââ The raven-haired male is cut off by the door slamming open. Your cousin stalks towards you, all but seething, but before he can reach you the other male blocks him.Â
âMove.â Tristan growls at him. The male doesnât move so your cousin shoves him out of the way and then drops to a knee in front of you, grabbing your face. No doubt trying to figure out if the blood on your face is yours or not.
âI asked for you.â You tell him quietly as he lightly taps your swollen brow, growling when you wince.Â
Then heâs whirling on the male behind him, âWhy didnât you get me when she asked for me.â A command not a question.
The male crosses his arms, not at all fazed by your cousin, âHow, am I supposed to know that you care about a random female that you had a one night stand with?âÂ
âSheâs my fucking cousin!â He snaps and the raven-haired male's eyes widen. His eyes flicked between Tristan and you.Â
That's when you noticed his eyes were blueâso blue they were violet. Beautiful. He was beautiful.Â
âI-â
âFuck you, Ruhn!â
You lean out of your seat to get a good look at the male. âThatâs Ruhn?â You ask your cousin. âYouâre Ruhn?â You ask the male.
âYes.â They answer at the same time.
You blink once, âHmm. Maybe I am drunker than I thought.â You say out loud to yourself before looking at Ruhn again. âI thought youââ you began to say to him but your cousin cut you off.Â
âHe is going to get me a first aid kit so I can patch you up.â Tristan says pointedly.Â
You arch a brow, âFor what? Iâll heal.â You argue.
âDonât care.â You hold your cousinâs challenging stare.Â
âFine,â you huff. Ruhn takes that as his cue to leave to go get the first aid kit but you donât miss the corners of his mouth tilting up in an amused smile. And as soon as he walks out the room, your cousin begins to scold you and you try to argue back but heâs not having it. âBut he talked shit about youââ
âI. Donât. Care.â He bites out.
âOh! So you mean to tell me if someone talked shit about me in front of you, you wouldnât have done anything?â
âOf course not.â
âExactly!â The both of you cross your arms at the same time. Your eyes flit to the closed door then back at your cousin, âTris, can I tell you a secret?âÂ
He arches a brow at you. Waiting.
âOkay, but you canât tell anyone or make fun of me or laugh at me.â
He rolls his eyes but nods. Â
You stick your pinky out to him, âPromise me?â
He smirks at you, âI promise.â He swears as he locks his pinky with yours before pulling away.Â
âI used to have a crush on him,â you whisper-yell. Clearly drunk.
âHim? Who?â
âRuhn!âÂ
Tristan tilts his head back, groaning.Â
âStop!â You yell at him, âIt was years ago.â
Your cousin looks at you, a disgusted grimace on his face, âSo not anymore?â
âNo!â
âY/n?â
âTris, I swear!â He stares at you for a couple seconds before bursting out with laughter and you swat at his arm. Bursting out with laughter too, âI hate you.â
The both of you are so caught up in your own world that you fail to notice Ruhn was right outside the door.
****
Itâs been two weeks since your fight at the White Raven and youâve been making excuses to not go out with your friends when they invite you because Tristan has been dramatically over protective. Even fussing that you have to start your job at the White Raven.
Which is why you decided to stay in this Saturday. You had just finished cleaning your apartment, settling onto your couch with a pint of ice cream, getting ready to watch âFangs and Bangsâ when someone knocked at your door.
You threw your head back into your couch, groaning, before setting your ice cream down on your coffee table. When the person on the other side of your door knocks again, louder this time. âComing!â You yell in response.Â
Without thinking you throw your door open, your brows pinching when you see whoâs on the other side of the door. Itâs Ruhn. As in Tristanâs best friend Ruhn. As in Ruhn Danaan âThe Crown Prince of the Valbaran Faeâ, Ruhn.
His hand is still raised like he was just about to knock on the door again before you opened it. He takes you in. Looking at you from head to toe, those violet-blue eyes seem to gleam as they linger on your thighs longer than necessary.Â
Heâs looking at you like every other male does and yet it sets your skin aflame. Your thighs clenching beneath his gaze and finally your eyes meet and he gives you a knowing smirk. And itâs all you can do to glare at him before taking him in.Â
From his long silky black hair, to his violet eyes, his lips, to his broad chest and then to his muscularâveiny arms. Gods, he had tattoos. You hadnât noticed them the night you got arrested. And then down to his trim waist, his thick muscular thighs and his black combat boots. Frowning more at yourself than him. He was a dick to you but here you were lusting after him.Â
When you meet his gaze again you notice his smirk falters. Then he finally speaks. âI just wanted to apologize for the way I acted. . . when I arrested you.â Â
You blink at him, crossing your arms over your chest, and you donât miss the way his eyes fall to your tits.Â
Then he looks back up at you, clearing his throat, âSo I got you these.â A bouquet of roses. Your eyes flick from him to the roses in his outstretched hand and in one quick motion you take them from him and slam the door in his face. Your face heating at the fact that Ruhn brought you flowers. Granted it was rude to slam the door in his face but he was rude to you too.
So it went on like that for a while. He would bring you flowers a couple times a week, either to your apartment or to the White Raven while you worked. Or he would simply drop off food for you at work.Â
Then slowly you started eating together on your lunch breaks or you would share a pint of ice cream in your apartment while watching âFangs and Bangs.â Never talking, just eating in silence. But it was a month later and he had started walking you to work and home from work whenever he had the chance to.Â
You finally caved one day when you stood outside your door, keys gripped tightly in your hand, âWhat do you want from me?â
He answered immediately. âGo out with me. Let me make it up to you.â
âNo.âÂ
âNo?â He chuckled. âWhy not?âÂ
âBecause.âÂ
âBecause. . . Why?â
You sigh. âBecause, you go out with a lot of females and I donât want to be just another female you go out with.âÂ
âDo you think Iâll break your heart or something, sweetheart?â
Your cheeks heat at the nickname but you meet his eyes, defiance shining in yours. âNobody breaks my heart.âÂ
âSo go out with me.âÂ
âWill you leave me alone, if I say yes?â He grins. âFine. Just one.â
He grins even wider, âIâll pick you up later at 7.â
âJust one.â You breathe.
âJust one.â He swears.Â
You both lied to each other. One date turned into three. Three turned into five and you couldnât lie that you had started to fall for him, but you both agreed not to tell Tristan. Since you both refused to put a label on your relationship, if you could call it that and it had almost been a year since he first showed up to your apartment.Â
After that first date though, youâve refused to give anyone else the time of day. Ruhn never said that you couldnât see other people except they just didnât compare to him. Males and females alike have tried to change your mind but whenever you thought about it your mind always strayed back to a certain fae male with long black hair, violet eyes, that towered over you.Â
And you know youâre the only female Ruhn has been with too.Â
Annoyingly, both of you were so busy which is why youâd only gone on five dates. But your schedule finally seemed to line up this weekend and he asked you out on another date. Which you instantly agreed to and canceled going out with your friends even though it was your birthday. You even canceled going out to dinner with Tristan to celebrate, breaking tradition and instead compromising to go out for breakfast.Â
Youâd rather spend time with Ruhn on your birthday even if he didnât know that it was your birthday today. Any time spent with him was a gift, so when he called you and told you to get dressed and later sent you the address of where to meet you couldnât stop the smile from spreading across your face.Â
You had three hours to get ready before you had to meet him and your phone said it was only a ten-minute walk from your apartment. You didnât waste any time starting your shower routine, doing your makeup, hair, and getting dressed. Deciding to wear a short red silk dress that accentuates your curves with black heels that lace up around your ankles.Â
Making your way towards the front door you checked your phone and you were right on time. Turns out the address he sent you was to a movie theater, putting your phone back into your purse and locking the door to your apartment, you set off to go meet your prince.Â
Once you get to the front of the building you check your phone again to see if Ruhn texted you again because it looks like itâs closed. But, right when you lift your phone to your ear you hear him, Iâm here, sweetheart. Come inside. He says to you mind to mind.Â
You let out a laugh, Why are you inside if itâs closed?
Come inside and youâll find out.
You take a deep breath before heading inside the dark building, âRuhn?â You call out. Walking deeper into the lobby you see one of the hallways is flickering with light. But once you get to the threshold you stop to take in all the rose petals and candles strategically placed on the floor of the hallway.
Youâre about to call out for him again, when a shadow twines around your ankle and up your calf, before wrapping around your wrist and tugging you forward. The shadow excitedly leads you towards an open door that says âTheater 7â and once you get all the way inside the room you see him. Ruhn.Â
Your eyes slowly sweep over his entire frame. Heâs wearing black boots, black dress pants and a black dress shirt. His sleeves were casually rolled up, revealing toned, tattooed forearms. Then your eyes fall to lips that are curved up in a smirk and then to eyes that seem to darken as he takes you in.Â
The shadow continues to lead you until youâre a foot away from him. âHi,â you squeak out. Your cheeks burn at his undivided attention and he smiles smugly knowing that too.Â
âHappy Birthday, sweetheart.â He says softly.Â
You swat at him lightly. âYou knew!â
He lets out a soft chuckle before wrapping his arms around you. âHow could I not celebrate my girl on her special day.â
Your cheeks burn even hotter at his words. My girl. âYou didnât have to do all of this for me.â Your words are muffled by his shoulder but he still hears you.
He leans back, cradling your face in his face, âMy girl deserves the world, sweetheart.â You sigh contentedly, eyes fluttering closed as a full smile blooms across your face. âI have another present for you.â
You gasp, âThereâs more?âÂ
âFor you, always.â He leads to a lounger in the middle, thatâs in front of the movie screen and pulls out his phone. âLook at the screen,â he instructs and you do. Ruhnâs on his phone for a couple more seconds and then suddenly the screen comes to life with a slideshow of picturesâof you.Â
Of the both of you together and some of just you. Some of them you remember he took while on or whenever you were together while the others you didnât even realize he took. Your eyes well up with tears when you see yourself falling for him in the picturesâso clear in the way you look at him.Â
And any doubt you had of him not falling for you is replaced with certainty that he is. You donât know how you missed the way he looks at you when itâs so obvious in the pictures.
Once the slideshow ends you throw yourself into his arms, tears rolling down your cheeks as you wrap your arms around his neck. âThank you, Ruhn.âÂ
âDid you like it?â He asks hesitantly.Â
Nuzzling further into his neck, nodding, âI loved it.âÂ
He releases a breath, his chest meets yours as relief washes through him. âThank gods.â
You pull back straddling him, wiping your tears away and his hands fall to your thighs. Rubbing them mindlessly. âDid you really think I wouldnât love it?â
He shrugs. His eyes bore into yours. âI just wanted you to have a good birthday.â
âIt would have been a great birthday regardless as long as I spent it with you.â You reassure him.
He nods, unconsciously licking his lips causing your gaze to fall to his mouth. You lift your eyes back to his and then drop them down to his lips again and then lightly graze your lips over his. Pulling him in closer, your fingers entwined in his hair as you brushed your lips over his again. Harder this time.Â
His fingers dig into your plush thighs, earning a soft moan from you that allowed him to deepen the kiss. You grind your hips over his needly. Then you were swiping your tongue along the seam of his lips, seeking entrance, causing a groan to fall from Ruhnâs lips. As your tongue dipped inside his mouth, the both of you fighting for dominance before he won and explored your mouth.Â
The both of you pull back at the same time, breathlessly gasping for air.Â
The scents of your arousal thick in the air. His musky scent, intoxicating as it invades all of your senses.Â
Your voice is breathy, âRuhn, please. . .â still panting from the kiss.Â
âPlease, what, sweetheart?â His own chest was still rising and falling as he struggled to recover from the kiss, but his hands never stopped rubbing your thighs.Â
âFuck me.â
His eyes darken and a wicked smirk tugs at his kiss-swollen lips and itâs the only warning you get before heâs flipping you both over so your back is flat against the seat of the lounger. Ruhn hikes your dress up so itâs bunched around your waist before settling himself between your soft thick thighs.Â
His large tattooed hands grip them hard enough you know youâll have little bruises on them the same size of his fingers. He groans low in his throat while he places sensual teasing kisses along both of your inner thighs, alternating as he gets closer to your soaked cunt.Â
Growling when a wave of your arousal hits him, âyouâre gonna be the death of me.â
He murmurs under his breath and you canât tell if itâs directed towards you or himself but it still elicits a whimper from you.Â
âRuhn, pleaââ your words die in your throat as he licks a long broad stripe along your clothed cunt.Â
His dark chuckle is full of mirth as it echoes in your mind. Yes, sweetheart?Â
I need more. I need. . . you.Â
A heart beat later you hear fabric tear and then feel the cold air against your now bare cunt. Your light pink lace panties dangle from ring adorned fingers while you clench around nothing as he rubs tight circles over your swollen clit.Â
Ruhn picks up the pace as he begins to murmur praises into your mind. Pressure begins to build at the base of your spine as he replaces his fingers with his tongue. Groaning at the taste of you on his tongue as he flicks, swirls and sucks at your sensitive bundle of nerves.Â
âOh f-fuuck, Ruhn!â You cry out as the overstimulation.Â
Back arching when he slips a single thick finger into you. Then he slips in another, your walls spasming and contracting around them as your hips begin to buck unconsciously. âGood girl,â he praises. His voice thick with lust. âJust like that, sweetheart.âÂ
Then he dips his head back down, his tongue lightly and rapidly working your clit as he continues finger fucking you.Â
You fall over the edge with a scream when he moans against your clit, the vibrations of it causing your back to arch off the lounger as your release barrels through you.Â
Still coming down from your orgasm when Ruhn flips you so youâre on all fours. Your body threatens to buckle beneath you from aftershocks, but Ruhn places a large hand on your belly holding you up while rubbing the head of his cock through your slick folds.Â
Your hips jerking while you whine from overstimulation, letting out shaky breaths as he talks you through it. âYou can take it, sweetheart. Donât you want to be a good girl for me?â
âMhmm,â you respond. Not capable of words.Â
Ruhn lets out a hiss as he buries himself in your cunt with a slow thrust, inch by inch, until heâs swallowed by your warmth. âFuck. . . you take me so well.â His deep voice practically a purr, while he restrains your hands behind your back with your panties.Â
He pulls almost all the way out to the tip before sinking all the way back in. Setting a merciless desperate pace as he fucks you. Your legs begin to shake as you feel another orgasm building.Â
âGods, I can feel your tight cunt squeezing me. Are you gonna c-cum for me again, sweetheart?â
You nod frantically, letting out a choked sob as he circles your clit with one of his hands.
âFuck,â He grunts, never letting up as a second orgasm racks your body, working you through it. âGood girl.â He praises, slapping the side of one of your thick thighs. His words are drowned out by the sounds of skin slapping skin as his hips snap against the swell of your ass.Â
His thrusts turn frantic as you feel your third orgasm about to tear through you. Ruhnâs hips stutter, âGive me one more. Cum with me, sweetheart.â And as soon as that last word fell from his lips you shatter, crying out his name as you both cum. Â
Your name on his lips as you both collapse. He braces himself with one arm on the side of your body so he doesnât crush you with his weight as he emptied himself inside you. Your walls spasm and contract around his pulsing cock, milking every last drop of his cum.Â
The both of you stay there for a couple minutes and then heâs rolling you so youâre laying on top of him. âThank you, for the best birthday my prince.â Your voice is still a bit shaky.Â
He rubs his hands soothingly over your body. âThis is nothing. Weâre still gonna go back to your apartment for a few more rounds.âÂ
You lift your head to look at him, eyes wide. âOh gods, youâre gonna kill me.âÂ
He laughs softly. âJust wait until next year,â he promises.Â

The Hamas charters
Hamas has had two charters, the first in 1988 and the second in 2017.
I have posted about this before, where I reviewed the charters and exposed their antisemitism, but I cannot find that post, so I'm making a new one.
The 1988 Charter:
Hamas is also known as the Islamic Resistance Movement.
"Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it" "Our struggle against the Jews is very great and very serious." "Initiatives, and so-called peaceful solutions and international conferences, are in contradiction to the principles of the Islamic Resistance Movement." "There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad." "In face of the Jews' usurpation of Palestine, it is compulsory that the banner of Jihad be raised."
Hamas was not formed to find a peaceful solution, it is a nationalistic militant group formed to wage what they consider to be a holy war.
Hamas' original charter states that they believe Jews have "infiltrated" all kinds of organizations and have caused several wars, all with the goal of achieving Zionism. When they say "the enemies", they mean Jews. This document does not differentiate between Jews and Zionists and uses the terms interchangeably. Article 22 is where the antisemitism really hits the fan. The following is all one single long paragraph; I've broken it up to single out the individual antisemitic conspiracy theories:
"For a long time, the enemies have been planning, skillfully and with precision, for the achievement of what they have attained. They took into consideration the causes affecting the current of events. They strived to amass great and substantive material wealth which they devoted to the realisation of their dream."
Antisemitic conspiracy theory that Jews are all immeasurably wealthy? Check!
"With their money, they took control of the world media, news agencies, the press, publishing houses, broadcasting stations, and others."
Antisemitic conspiracy theory that that Jews control the media? Check!
"With their money they stirred revolutions in various parts of the world with the purpose of achieving their interests and reaping the fruit therein. They were behind the French Revolution, the Communist revolution and most of the revolutions we heard and hear about, here and there."
Antisemitic conspiracy theory that Jews have caused many wars throughout history? Check!
"With their money they formed secret societies, such as Freemasons, Rotary Clubs, the Lions and others in different parts of the world for the purpose of sabotaging societies and achieving Zionist interests."
Oh hey it's the Judeo-Masonic antisemitic conspiracy theory!
"With their money they were able to control imperialistic countries and instigate them to colonize many countries in order to enable them to exploit their resources and spread corruption there."
And of course the antisemitic conspiracy theory that Jews secretly control the governments of major countries around the world. I remind you, all of this was in one single paragraph.
This document is wildly disorganized, so we go back to blaming Jews for wars, this time, WWI:
"They were behind World War I, when they were able to destroy the Islamic Caliphate, making financial gains and controlling resources. They obtained the Balfour Declaration, formed the League of Nations through which they could rule the world. They were behind World War II, through which they made huge financial gains by trading in armaments, and paved the way for the establishment of their state. It was they who instigated the replacement of the League of Nations with the United Nations and the Security Council to enable them to rule the world through them. There is no war going on anywhere, without having their finger in it."
I just cannot believe anyone who claims Hamas is not an antisemitic organization. Hamas blames Jews for both world wars and is claiming Jews literally "rule the world" and control the UN.
"They aim at undermining societies, destroying values, corrupting consciences, deteriorating character and annihilating Islam. It is behind the drug trade and alcoholism in all its kinds so as to facilitate its control and expansion."
Jews are also apparently behind drugs and alcoholism and want to annihilate Islam. This would almost be funny if this document was not the charter of a real-world organization.
This document goes on and on. It cites the "Protocols of Zion", which is a known fake document written by antisemites and not by Jews:
"After Palestine, the Zionists aspire to expand from the Nile to the Euphrates. When they will have digested the region they overtook, they will aspire to further expansion, and so on. Their plan is embodied in the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion", and their present conduct is the best proof of what we are saying."
So that's the 1988 charter. THIS IS WHAT HAMAS IS FOUNDED ON. These are their FUNDAMENTAL BELIEFS. You cannot separate Hamas from this document, nor all the foulness and hatred it contains.
The 2017 Charter
Let's look at the 2017 charter now. For fairness. Maybe they've cooled down the antisemitism or desire to kill every Jew in the Levant?
"The Zionist project is a racist, aggressive, colonial and expansionist project based on seizing the properties of others; it is hostile to the Palestinian people and to their aspiration for freedom, liberation, return and self-determination. The Israeli entity is the plaything of the Zionist project and its base of aggression." "The Zionist project also poses a danger to international security and peace and to mankind and its interests and stability."
Um. No, not really. They've decided to pretend they're separating Zionism from Judaism - "I'm not antisemitic, I'm just anti-Zionist!", but the message is the same.
"Hamas is of the view that the Jewish problem, anti-Semitism and the persecution of the Jews are phenomena fundamentally linked to European history and not to the history of the Arabs and the Muslims or to their heritage."
Uh, that's some major denial of literal history there, Hamas. Islamic and Arab countries have absolutely perpetrated violent antisemitism against Jewish people. Like, a lot of antisemitism.
So, through historical revisionism wherein they claim antisemitism is a "Europe" problem, and by pretending to separate "Zionists" from "Jews", the 2017 charter downplays its antisemitism and focuses more on Palestinian liberation. Notably though, it still calls for violent resistance, and though it cedes they would accept the 1967 borders (aka, full Palestinian control over Gaza and the West Bank), it states over and over that Israel is "illegal", and that it does not recognize it as a legitimate state. It does not, at any point, recognize that Jews are native to the region, of course. Zionists are "colonial invaders" and nothing more. It is more polite about its antisemitism, but the antisemitism is still very much present.

Omg, rinna requests are open ^0^ (and don't worry, you can take as much time as you want) I'd like to request leona with a reader who plays a lot of sports and sucks at all of them đ (me. i mean me lmao) Have a great day đđđđ AND I SAW YOUR ISEKAI JADE FIC I REFUSE TO SIMP FOR SLIMY EELS. WHY.
the chasing game
Pairing: Leona Kingscholar x gn!reader
Synopsis: Leona's ego is a bit too strong, and oh dear, he thinks you have crush on him
Tags: fluff, misunderstandings (but they're cute), slight pining, leona is a tsundere
Word count: 707
Notes: my best friend and i had a lot of fun with this idea hehe, i hope you'll like it too hehe
Masterlist
Leona thinks you have some ulterior motive at first
why are you trying so hard at spelldrive??? you're not doing that well honestly
he finds no reason whatsoever you'd be so energetic when you're even performing that well
so he starts thinking... maybe you have an ulterior motive??
and somehow, probably because of his big ego he comes to the conclusion that you have a crush on him!!
after all, he is the captain of the spelldrive club
how else would you be able to get his attention?
in his mind, you're just a small little herbivore who's trying to get in his good graces
the smug lion is pretty amused by all this, and he can't say he minds having you around
you being that enthusiastic about playing sports, and the determination to get better no matter how many times you fail, is pretty impressive to him
though he sometimes cringes internally with how bad you're doing
by the time he can't take it, he'll saunter over to you and give you some advice
he'll sound like a jerk doing it, but if you read between the lines, he's giving you good advice
it's probably because he's been studying you for so long
so you listen to his advice, and oh? that shot went pretty well!!
you're jumping around all excited! finally there's some improvement!! maybe there are some sports cells in you after all
you get a bit too excited in thanking him and you throw your arms around him in the heat of the moment
he almost instantly pushes you away, obviously, saying you're sweaty and mumble grumbling
but there's no denying the way his tail is swishing around and the slightest hint of pink on his cheeks it's the sunset he says
from that point on, he'll occasionally join you as you practice, giving you advice and commenting on what you're doing wrong every time he feels like it
it also gives him a pretty good excuse to not actually participate in the sport
then again, he can't say he dislikes playing when you're in the audience
it usually ends up with you gushing over how impressive he was in the game, asking him if you could teach him how to do what he did, and in general just praise all throughout
this all but feeds into his pride, and he has the widest smirk on his face
he gets into an awful mood when you stop showing up for a while though
he becomes even more irritable, and there's more of a murderous aura about him when he's playing against the other guys
it doesn't take long for him to start asking around about where you've gone
epel is more than happy to solve this mystery for him so he'll stop beating people around
though he's pretty amazed by Leona actually putting effort into the games
and excuse me??? you're hanging around in the basketball club now??
little does he know, but you've merely shifted interest from spelldrive to basketball
but in his delusional misunderstood mind, this means you don't have a crush on him anymore
hah. that ended soon enough. he doesn't care at all.
... okay maybe he does actually care a bit
"Oi. Herbivore," Leona calls out to you in the hallway. You turn around and you're faced with his disgruntled expression. "Are ya not comin' to Spelldrive anymore?"
You blink at his question. "Oh! I think so? I got interested in basketball lately haha," you chuckle as you remember the little rivalry Ace started. "You don't mind, do you?"
"Hah. Why'd I mind?" he huffs, but there's something about his voice that makes you feel like he does mind.
"Leona," you close the distance between the two of you. "Would it be okay if I join you for lunch?" His eyes visibly widen at your request.
"I just really like the atmosphere in the garden, but I don't want to interrupt you."
He seems to contemplate it for a moment, emerald eyes shut and eyebrows furrowed. But when he opens his eyes again, there's a certain softness to them.
"Hmph. Do whatever you want." he says, turning around to leave, his tag swishing back and forth once again.

The October 7 attack and its aftermath have finally brought the disparate elements of this struggle against Jews to the surface, its participants surging into the streets and onto social mediaâsuggesting that Hamas knew something important about the world that many of us didnât see, or didnât want to.Â
When I was a reporter for an international news agency at the time of the Hamas takeover in Gaza in 2007,  I discovered that it was impolitic to mention what Hamas clearly announced in its founding charter from 1988: Namely, that âour struggle against the Jews is very great and very serious,â and the Jews were âbehind the French Revolution, the Communist revolution and most of the revolutions we heard and hear about, here and there. With their money they formed secret societies, such as Freemasons, Rotary Clubs, the Lions, and others in different parts of the world for the purpose of sabotaging societies and achieving Zionist interests.âÂ
This didnât sound like âFree Palestine.â But as a rule, on the rare occasions that Western news organizations felt compelled to mention the document, they left those parts out.Â
The historical examples from the charter suggest that in the war against Judaism, the ideologues of Hamas understand themselves to be operating in a broad coalition and carrying on a long tradition. This is true. âIslam and National Socialism are close to each other in the struggle against Judaism,â Hajj Amin al-Husseini, the mufti of Jerusalem and one of the fathers of the Palestinian national movement, said in 1944. This was in a speech to members of an SS division he helped raise, made up of Bosnian Muslims. âNearly a third of the Qurâan deals with the Jews. It has demanded that all Muslims watch the Jews and fight them wherever they find them,â he said, an idea that would reappear four decades later in the Hamas charter. When the mufti testified before a British commission of inquiry in 1936, he quoted The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, the Tsarist forgery describing a global Jewish conspiracy, which is also the source for parts of the Hamas charter and remains popular across the Middle East. (I once found the book for sale at a good shop near the American University of Beirut.) The Hamas army, known as the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, is named for one of the muftiâs most famous proteges.
The movement became savvy enough to water down its charter a few years ago, but its leaders have remained honest about their intent. âYou have Jews everywhere,â one former Hamas minister, Fathi Hammad, shouted to a crowd in 2019, âand we must attack every Jew on the globe by way of slaughter and killing, with Godâs will.âÂ
In the liberal West, no sane person would own up to believing The Protocols. (At least not yet; things are moving fast.) But an Italian can hold a prominent U.N. job, for example, after saying she believes a âJewish lobbyâ controls America, and you can hold a tenured position at the best universities in the West if you believe that the only country on earth that must be eliminated is the Jewish one.Â
My experience in the Western press corps was that sympathy for Hamas was not just real but often more substantial than sympathy for Jews. In Europe and North America, as weâve now seen on the streets and on campuses, many on the progressive left have arrived at an ideology positing that one of the worldâs most pressing problems is the State of Israelâa country that has come to be seen as the embodiment of the evils of the racist, capitalist West, if not as the worldâs only âapartheidâ state, that being a modern synonym for evil.Â
Jews could no longer officially be hated because of their ethnicity or religion, but can legitimately be hated as supporters of âapartheidâ and as the embodiment of âprivilege.â The pretense that this is a critique of Israelâs military tactics, or sincere desire for a two-state solution, has now largely been dropped.Â

Scorbus Halloween Master List đ
we don't have to pretend by dustyspines
"Hey, no," Albus began, tilting Scorpius' chin up so they were looking at each other again. "It's never too late to talk about her. If the feelings are still as raw as they were that day, which they clearly are, and you still both are grieving, then it isn't too late. It'll never be like that." He finished, leaning inwards towards Scorpius and, before either of them could really register what was going on, pressed their lips together. It was short, sweet and slightly too wet (in Scorpius' eyes anyway), but it happened.
"You just kissed me." Scorpius said, in a comment that was meant to remain internal, but of course it slipped out.

And not only does the boy in the lion costume save himâŚbut he has a proposal for him. Of marriage.
What?
The Board of Spirits by BookofSpells
âHow does it work?â Albus asks, his curiosity piqued. He picks up a small, heart-shaped block of painted wood with a magnifying glass in the centre and taps it against the board. Nothing happens.
âItâs like a game,â Scorpius explains, sitting on the bed and gesturing for Albus to join him. âThe kids put their fingers on the planchette and pretend to perform a sĂŠance. Supposedly, the spirit communicates with them by moving the planchette over the letters and numbers on the board. There is always one cheeky kid that moves it themselves, to trick the others.â
Albus has been hiding his feelings for Scorpius for as long as he can remember. It takes a bit of luck, a spirit board, and four whimsical spirits to show him what's possible.

The rugby player and commentator Gordon Lamont Brown was born on the 1st November 1947.
Known quite simply as Broon fae Troon, Brown was from a sporting family, his elder brother Peter also played for and captained the Scottish side. His father, John played goalkeeper for the Scottish football side and also appeared in the Scottish Open at Royal Troon alongside golfing greats such as Arnold Palmer. He is also the nephew of footballers Tom and Jim Brown.
Broon was a legendary Scotland second row and a fully-paid up component of the Mean Machine; a triple Lion and fierce competitor in the Battle of Boet Erasmus; a ruthless assassin on the pitch and a true gentleman off the field of play.
early interest was in the round rather than the oval ball. His conversion was reportedly the result of a particularly heated football tie, after which he reckoned ârugby would be saferâ! He emerged on to the international stage in December 1969, from West of Scotland, having just turned 22.
After a winning debut against South Africa, he retained his place for the Five Nations opener against France. Dropped for the subsequent Wales match, he was replaced by brother Peter who revelled in breaking the news to Gordon. Peter was then injured in the match â and replaced at half-time by his younger sibling; the first occasion where a brother had replaced a brother in an international. When the Browns joined forces against England in 1970, it was the first time brothers had played together for Scotland since Angus and Donald Cameron in 1902.
Immovable in the scrum yet dynamic in the loose, Gordon went onto cement his place in Scotlandâs front five of the early 1970s, the formidable Mean Machine that also featured Ian McLauchlan, Frank Laidlaw, Sandy Carmichael and Alastair McHarg. Between 1971 and 1976, Scotland lost just once at home, a narrow defeat to the All Blacks.
A giant of a man, both physically and figuratively, he formed a key partnership in the blue jersey with McHarg, winning 30 caps; in a Lions shirt, he was one of the worldâs most ruthless competitors. Not only could he move but his outstanding handling skills resulted in eight tries on the Lionsâ 1974 venture â including the brutal Battle of Boet Erasmus â a record for a forward. He played in eight Lionsâ Tests between 1971 and 1977, playing a major part in the 1971 and 1974 victories. A string of injuries ended his career, but not before an infamous incident in a match between Glasgow and the North-Midlands, he was suspended for three months after getting into a fight with Allan Hardie, in which Brown chased Hardie, threw him to the ground and kicked him. Prior to this, Hardie had kneed Brown in the face and proceed to stamp on the open wound on Brown's brow after the initial attack went unnoticed by the referee. The suspension meant that he missed three internationals and was banned from training at any rugby club.
The hardest battle came two decades later, with the diagnosis of non- Hodgkinâs lymphoma. A battler to the end, he died in 2001, aged just 53.

If Felix and Clemmie had children, what do you think their parenting styles would be like? (This is basically me asking for a Felix and Clemmie & co. post similar to your fatum faciendum post like Coriolanus and Clemmie & co. (The one where you posted your rambles on April 4th.)
If you do answer this ask, Thank you because you and @vipsaniasickle has converted me LOL
First of all, welcome to the Felix x Clemmie club haha
Second, thank you so much for giving me a reference haha (I genuinely had to pull up that earlier post you brought up)
For this, I'm going to imagine that this is for a universe where I haven't killed off either of them (yet). Some names are taken from the dis aliter visum AU.
Rambles below:
Number of children: 2? 3?
Selene is their firstborn - Felix was perhaps more concerned/worried over every possible thing during the whole pregnancy/labor than Clemmie was. (The doctors debated telling the man to wait outside since he was probably going to stress Clemmie out haha)
Helios is their next child.
Because of this whole HC that Felix is a writer and a bit of a literature nerd - I'm considering the existence of a third child. Another daughter, Aurora.
While Selene and Helios' names are largely inspired by the names of Cleopatra VII's twins with Marc Antony, the existence of another child is a nod to Greek/Roman mythology of the sun, the moon and dawn being siblings. The first 2 children take on the Greek names, while Aurora is Roman (I prefer Aurora to Eos haha).
Age gap wise, it's not that spread out: Selene and Helios have a two year age gap, while Selene and Aurora have a five year age gap.
Appearance wise, they all look like a mix of their parents - though in some aspects, they take after one parent a bit more than the other. Like how Selene & Helios have Felix's curls, while Aurora has Clemmie's straight hair.
Parenting thoughts:
Felix is a lot more likely to spoil the children (the Dovecote charm is a dangerous thing that the children inherited), but nothing too crazy.
Honestly both Clemmie and him have a pretty similar approach to parenting and are both involved in raising them.
The household is a rather creative environment - Felix with his writings and Clemmie with her music.
They also encourage the children to find hobbies unrelated to academics whether that is art, music, sports etc.
Possible hobbies: Selene (tennis), Helios (piano - both playing and music composition), Aurora (fashion - she ends up interning under Iphigenia)
Neither of them have a favourite child and they mean it when they say it.
They expect their children to do well in school, and their children sort of follow in their footsteps. The teachers have nothing but good things to say about the Ravinstill children.
Thoughts about the children:
As a kid, Selene has fought a kid on the playground for saying that Felix wasn't a good dad. (After explaining violence isn't the answer, Clemmie may or may not have bought her ice cream afterwards.)
At the age of 5, Helios bought the world's tackiest mug for Father's Day saying 'Panem's best Dad' - Felix used it for an entire month straight. He only stopped because it broke :(
For Mother's Day the children wanted to make breakfast for Clemmie (Felix supervised). Selene (9), Helios (7) and Aurora (4) really tried their best, but it may have been in everyone's favour that they went out for brunch instead. Clemmie did appreciate the cards and gifts though.
`
The children are all perfect angels when they need to be (it truly is the Dovecote charm) but get on their bad side....oh dear.
Of all the children, Helios has inherited the lion's share of the Dovecote charm - if Clemmie was the it girl of her generation, then Helios is her equivalent in his generation.
`
inspired slightly by a deleted bit in a dis aliter visum about Selene - the first time Selene trounces him in tennis, Coriolanus' son falls in love. (He lost like really, really badly after bragging about how good he was. [one-sided] rivals to lovers, slow burn lmao)
BONUS: The children have HIGH standards for their future partner. Blame the family.
Listen, their father still writes weekly love letters to their mother. And has orange blossoms in the gardens year round just for her.
Their grandfather created the ever so famed 'Dovecote Clementines' for their grandmother. (Endymion and Aelia Dovecote)
So these people need to step it up.

Wip (for a leona x reader fic)
a/n I've been really busy with clubs, scholarships/college applications and family matters, that I haven't gotten enough time to sit down and write. im trying to make progess on requests and other stuff i had lined up, its just a really slow process. (if you've sent in a requests, don't worry, i see it!) but anways, i've been working on this leona fic, but i'm no where near done with it, but i wanted to show a little sneak peak. i wanted to get it down by the end of this month, but i highly doubt thats going to happen :/ i hope you guys enjoy and of course feel free to leave comments and such, ill try to get to them as fast as i can!
!tw! nothing but cursing
âYou need me to do what now?â You asked the lion beastman. Setting down your bag, you sat down beside him. Wondering what was going on through his head.
âDo I really have to repeat myself?â He groaned, shoving his face in his hands. It was the first time youâve ever seen Leona flustered, and you canât deny that it was amusing. Shoving you to the side, he groaned, âGet that look off your face, herbivore.â
Chuckling, you set out the food you made and said calmly with a shrug of your shoulders and an amused smile, âWell, in my defense, it's not every day you get to see the Leona Kingscholar, so shy.â
âIâm not shy.â Leona grumbled. Taking one of the boxes of food, he began to pick at it like a child.
Poking him with your fork, you scolded lightly, âLeona donât pick at your food just because you're embarrassed.â
âJeez, what are you my mom?â Leona huffed.
âIf I have to, sure.â You said bluntly. Hearing him huff and sigh, you put down your food and stared at him seriously. With a frown, you asked, âLeona, seriously, I donât mind going with you. If anything it could be very informational.â
He was silent for a second, before groaning loudly. Flopping down to the ground, he covered his eye with his forearm. A deep scowl embedded on his face.
Picking up your food again, you took and bite. Letting him solve his internal battle. An idea popped into your mind that you knew would get a reaction from him. With a teasing smile, you cooed, âOr is it that youâre too embarrassed to be seen with a herbivore such as myself, hmm? You scared another predator might take interest in me~?â
While you were expecting Leona to grow flustered, you got the total opposite reaction. Sitting back up swiftly, he looked you dead in the eye and deadpanned, âAs if someone would take interest in you.â
âAnd that's the Leona I know.â You said softly. Though if you were to be honest, you did feel a little offended but chalked it up to his remark. You werenât expecting a grand display about you being his, or whatever. No way. âThen why are you so grumbly about it?â
âIt's just Farena expecting me toâŚtoâŚâ
âTo?â
âUgh! Itâs stupid royal shit that is complete bullshit!â Leona exclaimed. It shocked you to see him so worked up over this. Heâs normally so unbothered by everything. This must really be messing with him.
Blinking away your surprise, you scooted over and placed your hand on his. Staring into his emerald eyes, you coaxed, âHey, you donât have to explain. Take your time, Leona, I wonât rush you, okay.â Looking deep into his eyes, you smiled, âIâm here for you, Leona. Donât forget that.â
He stared at you in shock. His sleepy eyes glowing with emotions you couldnât pinpoint. Calming down, he averted his gaze and stared off to the side, he murmured âYour breath stinks.â
âLeona!â

The Flying Bats have attributed their success to an âinvestment in a dedicated coaching positionâ rather than to the physical advantages their (5) male players have over the female football players they compete against.
By Genevieve Gluck September 23, 2024
An Australian âtrans inclusiveâ Premier League womenâs football team with multiple male players has scored another win yesterday against a womenâs team. The Flying Bats Football Club will now progress into the womenâs championships after defeating the Leichhardt Saints, 3-2.
The Flying Bats FC, which has at least five confirmed male participants, emerged victorious yesterday during Round 2 of the Premier League Football New South Wales (FNSW) Champion of Champions knockout competition. The Saints, an all-female team, has now lost the opportunity to compete in the finals, leaving the Bats one step closer to winning the womenâs title. According to the FNSW website, the Champion of Champions tournament is one of the most prestigious tournaments in the footballing calendar, with champions from each association pitted against each other in a âbattle for supremacy.â
During the game yesterday, one of the trans-identified males on the Flying Bats team received one red card and two yellow cards â indicating serious in-game infractions for which he was ultimately pulled from the match completely.
Prior to the competition, the Leichhardt Saints womenâs team had previously been undefeated all season. But the Flying Bats had a similar track record, winning all 17 games last season and scoring 76 goals while only a total of 8 points were scored against them. The Flying Bats have attributed their success to an âinvestment in a dedicated coaching positionâ rather than to the physical advantages their male players have over the female football players they compete against.
The Flying Bats is next scheduled to play against the Colo Soccer Football Club on September 29. The finals will be held closer to the end of October.
Earlier this year the team was awarded a $1,000 prize after winning the North West Sydney League pre-season Beryl Ackroyd Cup, following a season of winning every game they played in the Womenâs Premier League matches, 10-0. The news generated significant outcry and resulted in The Flying Bats making international headlines.
Last month, Reduxx reported that The Flying Bats, a football club for âself-identified women and non-binary people,â had won the Grand Final 5-4 over West Pennant Hills Cherrybrook Football Club. Due to the significant criticism the football club has attracted over the past year, security guards were present at the game and conducted bag checks, requiring all who attended to ditch their recording devices.
However, nearly 200 photos of yesterdayâs match were published online, and Reduxx can now definitively name the five male players in the Flying Bats Womenâs Football Club as Raili Haagensen, Josephine Massingham, Mattie Noble, Lian Sinclair, and Riley Dennis.
Dennis, born Justin and formerly a trans activist YouTuber, was previously identified by Reduxx as a player for the Flying Bats Womenâs Premier League. Before transferring to the Flying Bats FC, Dennis was previously accused of severely injuring women while participating in matches for the New South Wales Inter Lions.
On May 21, 2023, during a game between the Inter Lions and the St. George football clubs at the Majors Bay Reserve, Dennis launched his smaller female opponent towards a metal fence using an aggressive tackle as the two chased down the ball.
Reduxx was provided footage of the match, which showed the female player laying on her side, unmoving, as the transgender player casually walked away. The month prior, Dennis was said to have injured another female player, who reportedly had to seek hospital attention as a result of her injury.

An anonymous source close to the situation explained to Reduxx that Dennis left the Inter Lions team following last yearâs controversy. The source stated that Dennis then submitted at least three applications of interest for other teams, which were not accepted. The Flying Bats, however, approved his application to join the team. The football clubâs official website states it is âthe biggest LGBTQIA+ womenâs and non-binary football club in the world,â having been founded in 1985.
The source told Reduxx that all of the known men competing for the Flying Bats FC in the Premier League are approximately 6 feet tall or slightly over, with Dennis standing at about 6â4âł.

Another trans-identified male competing against women for the Flying Bats FC in the AA1 league is Lian Sinclair, a postdoctoral research associate in âcritical mineral global productionâ at the University of Sydney.
In 2015, an academic queer theory paper authored by Sinclair titled âMagical Genders: The Gender(s) of Witches in the historical Imagination of Terry Pratchettâs Discworldâ was published in the journal Mythlore. In the article, Sinclair discusses the âgendered history of witches and wizards in the consensus fantasy universe to explicitly challenge the error of gendered truth.â
Lian Sinclair. Source: LinkedIn
On social media, Sinclair mocks women critical of gender ideology as âTERFsâ, a pejorative acronym which stands for âtrans-exclusionary radical feministâ and is often used in the context of threatening violence or abusive harassment. In March of last year, following a widely-publicized womenâs rights demonstration in Melbourne which was unexpectedly attended by neo-Nazis, Sinclair posted to social media his thoughts on âTERF flirtations with Nazis.â
The Flying Bats FC has come under fire internally in the recent past, with other football clubs and coaches expressing concerns over the strength and size of the males competing in the club.
In March, the President of the St. Patrickâs FC, Frank Parisi, brought his concerns to the Northwest Sydney Football Association (NWSFA). In leaked audio of the meeting, Parisi could be heard informing the Association that he had lost more than 20 female players because they had refused to compete against the Flying Bats. Parisi also revealed that one of his female players had her leg broken by a trans-identified male associated with the Flying Bats, and that she had been penalized for âtransphobiaâ following her injury.
During the meeting, which was attended by the CEO of Football NSW John Tsatsimas and convened by CEO of NWSF, Matthew Geracitano, attendees were also told that a decision to boycott participation by forfeiting matches against The Flying Bats would result in âdisciplinary actionâ being issued.
According to regulations put forward by the NWSFA, âplayers may register and participate on the basis of their gender identification.â There are thought to be a total of at least nine trans-identified males playing football within the womenâs leagues, though their identities have been protected and withheld by Australian media.
Last year, after releasing an article revealing Riley Dennis as the transgender football player accused of injuring female players at a womenâs game, Reduxx was contacted by the eSafety Commissioner of Australia and advised to censor or delete the article.
The eSafety Commissioner then targeted social media users who had shared information from the Reduxx article on Dennis. One platform targeted, Ovarit, was encouraged to either delete the comments âmisgenderingâ Dennis, or suspend the users responsible.
EDIT 9/23/24: A previous version of the article incorrectly failed to specify the match was a qualifier for the final championship, not the championship game itself.

What can you say about this argument? It is not the first time I have met the opinion that Aang does not understand and does not know the culture of his people, and therefore his communication with Katara in TSR is hypocritical and childish.
https://www.tumblr.com/katara-stan-club/729249409205944320/i-saw-someone-make-the-argument-that-aang-is-not
*sighs eternally* Not that moron and their awful "arguments" again.
"Aang has a child's understanding of his culture"
And what about it? In case you haven't noticed, he IS a child. You think Zuko doesn't have a teenager's understanding of his own culture, of the war itself, etc? And that Katara's view of her culture has not changed, and will continue to change, as she grows older?
Not to mention, "mentaliy shared by most adults, but by basically none of the kids" doesn't immediately translate to "correct mentality." Again, just look at Zuko.
At 13 he spoke out against a room full of generals, and in front of his very abusive father who is also the absolute monarch, in defense of the soldiers they were about to betray and let the enemy slaughter. He knew his nation was killing innocents left and right and he WAS taught to see that as normal and even good, but he, a child, had assumed this "cruel, but justified" behavior would never extend to their own people as that would be cruel and unncessary .
At 16 however, he has almost fully internalized the idea that "If the Fire Lord says something must be done, then he is correct, because he is the Fire Lord and he can't ever be wrong", hence him betraying Iroh, who is not only not from the Fire Nation but also HIS UNCLE, and calling him a fool for not helping him and Azula take Ba Sing Se for Ozai - ya know, Iroh's younger brother that stole his crown and burned his nephew in front of him?
"Children often doesn't see the things the same way adults do" is a neutral statement that does not imply either side is fully or even partially correct. This is a completely pointless "argument" to hate on Aang.
"The show didn't challenge Aang's childlike assumption that forgiveness would magically fix everything"
Yes, it did. It's funny how zutarians go on and on about TSR as an episode, yet NEVER remember anything about the ending of said episode, expect for Zuko and Katara hugging.
Aang did initially assume that forgiving that awful man would be what Katara would need to move on he caused her. It makes sense not only considering the airnomads were pacifists, but also that forgiveness seems to be what personally works for Aang - which IS realistic, because while that doesn't work for everyone, it is absolutely how some people find closure.
However, Avatar was one of the few kid shows that EXPLICITLY said "Violence is always not the answer, but that doesn't mean you always have to forgive everyone who has ever hurt you." Katara and Zuko realize that killing Yon Rha would just traumatize her even more, and Aang realized that forgiveness isn't always a necessary step to recover - hence him not having a problem with Katara saying "I didn't forgive him. I'll never forgive him."
And The Southern Raiders wasn't the only episode that challenged Aang's perspective on never taking lives - the finale was all about him coming to terms with the fact that he would have to kill Ozai, as there was no other way to stop him from destroying the world. It is very clear that, if the Lion Turtle had not shown up, Aang would have done it.
The show IS embracing nuance. It IS saying "Sometimes, there is no other way to solve such a conflict - but if you DO find a different solution, go with that."
Zutarians keep trying to act like they're taking apart a bad message that says things are always either black or white, no grey areas ever, when in reality they are just exposing how a goddamn Nickelodeon show is too complicated for them to wrap their heads around, and thus they really need to stick to shows that are for even younger audiences otherwise they'll continue to be confused and enranged by completely mundane things nearly every narrative has.
