2024 LINCOLN AVIATOR VS 2024 LINCOLN CORSAIR
Luxury SUVs are gaining popularity due to their elegant features and impressive performance. With numerous options available, such as the Lincoln Corsair and Lincoln Aviator, finding the perfect fit for your lifestyle can be challenging. We've crafted this comparison to assist drivers in the Mississauga, Ontario, area looking to make an informed decision on these Lincoln models.
PERFORMANCE
Tumblr media
Understanding your priorities is crucial when deciding between the 2024 Lincoln Aviator and the 2024 Lincoln Corsair. Each Lincoln model has strengths, so identifying your needs is key to making the right choice. For those seeking robust performance, the Lincoln Aviator stands out. Its standard 3.0L V6 engine delivers 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to tow up to 6,700 pounds. In contrast, the Lincoln Corsair offers a choice between a 2.0L I-4 engine with 250 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque and a hybrid powertrain with 266 horsepower. However, if efficiency is a priority, Lincoln Corsair's plug-in hybrid trim could be more appealing, especially for daily commutes.
TECHNOLOGY FEATURES
Tumblr media
The Lincoln Aviator and Lincoln Corsair provide many advanced safety features, including standard and available options. You can find standard Active noise Control, Heated Front Seats, and Dual-Zone Automatic Climate Control on the Corsair. However, these safety features are optional for the Lincoln Aviator. You can also find the SYNC 3 with an enhanced voice recognition system, a giant 13.2-inch touchscreen, and built-in navigation.

Paul Adams 1920-2013, joined the Tuskegee Airmen shortly after graduating from South Carolina State University. He flew with the 332nd Fighter Squadron (the famed "Red Tails") throughout WWII. He would retire from the military in 1962. He then would become a teaching in the Lincoln (NE) public school system. They named Adams Elementary school for him in 2008.
Paul Adams and his fellow Tuskegee Airmen were the first African-American aviators in the U.S. military, whose distinguished record many historians credit with helping pave the way for the civil rights movement.
The group set an unprecedented record, flying more than 1,500 missions in Europe and North Africa. Adam served in nine major campaigns and received the Commendation Medal with three Oak Leaf clusters, each of which signifies subsequent bestowals of the same honor.
Doane College recognized him with the President's Honor of Distinction Award the same year. In 2007, he received the Congressional Gold Medal along with other Tuskegee Airmen, who were known as "guardian angels" by white airmen who were escorted by the African-American pilots during the war. Adams received a bronze replica at a ceremony in Lincoln. Doane College recognized him with the President's Honor of Distinction Award the same year.
And two years later, Adams, at President Barack Obama's invitation, attended the inauguration of the first black president along with other Tuskegee Airmen. Adams went on to become one of the first black teachers in LPS, and in 2008, his accomplishments were honored when the district named a new school after him.
He became a frequent visitor at Adams Elementary, where books about Tuskegee Airmen fill the library and teachers make a point to read them to students. The history became an integral part of Adams Elementary school

To give a more serious answer to that earlier question about whether any Presidents were able to fly, yes, there were three who were trained as pilots.
The most famous is indeed George H.W. Bush, who was the youngest U.S. Navy aviator during World War II, and flew 58 combat missions in the Pacific during the war. He was shot down during a bombing mission over Chichi Jima, an island in an archipelago between Guam and the Japanese mainland in September 1944 and had to be rescued from the Pacific Ocean by an American submarine. That was just a few months after he was also forced to ditch his TMB Avenger bomber in the ocean -- while it still was fully loaded with the bombs for the mission he was on -- and barely escaped the plane before it exploded.
His son, George W. Bush, had a much-less decorated and much-more maligned military "career", but he was trained as a military aviator in the Texas National Guard. Bush 43's most famous flight was as a passenger while President when he landed on the USS Abraham Lincoln for the infamous "Mission Accomplished" speech, but he was definitely a trained pilot.
The first President to earn a pilot's license was actually Dwight D. Eisenhower. Despite his background as a career military officer, Eisenhower was not trained as a military aviator -- he earned a private pilot's license in 1939.

SR-71 is on display at the SAC Museum in Ashland, Nebraska. Many folks may recall the SAC Museum in Bellevue, Nebraska, just north of Offutt AFB. In 1998, the new museum moved indoors to its current home in Ashland, which is much more accessible to the public. The new building also allowed the aircraft to be moved indoors and protected from the elements to which they had previously been exposed. The name of the Strategic Air Command (SAC) Museum was officially changed to the Strategic Air & Space Museum.
In 2015, the museum announced another name change to the current Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum to reconnect to the museum's original mission of preserving the history of the Strategic Air Command while promoting interest in aviation and science among the general public. After the end of the Cold War and the shutdown of SAC, the State of Nebraska built a new building for the SAC Museum. It is just off Interstate 80, about halfway between Lincoln and Omaha.
The SR-71 is dramatically displayed in the museum atrium.
Why, Nebraska? After the end of World War II, it was determined that the Midwest was the safest place in America in case of a nuclear war. Today that is not true; Russia has the entire United States covered.
