And there's shit to be envious of, she has nothing in NY just an empty trip to a hotel he took all of his gfs to and two dollar looking meals.

Also the thing is she makes it look like it was a birthday trip or some surprise but we don't know if that trip was planned because he got business there or because she wants to finish her soon-to-be-shelved third album. When Nadine was born, there was complications that ended their mother's life. Sure, it sucked not getting to know her mother, but what was worse was that her father hated her for it. This left Nadine without either parents growing up, seeing that her father was quick to turn to alcohol and act as though she didn't exist. It forced them to mature quicker, but in rougher areas of Brooklyn, at least she wasn't the only kid going through something like this - but that didn't mean that since it was 'the norm' in her neighborhood, that she wasn't falling apart over it all.

Instead of talking about it, Nadine held it all in. She didn't see a point in crying about it, especially when others had it worse. In order to cope, she was quick to take up drugs due to the city scene she went out of her way to get sucked into. When other kids were going home and helping their parents before doing their homework - Nadine was gallivanting around the rougher parts of Manhattan. Not only bar-crawling while she was freshly in middle school, but taking whatever she got her hands on. It was all just... normalized where she's from. At least, that's what Nadine was made out to believe. 'Everyone has vices' was what the high schoolers she'd be hanging out with at her impressionable age would say.

There wasn't always dark lows with the group she stuck with. They took her under their wing and exposed her to concerts and wild nights where they stole a limo once. Underground comedy clubs, and sneaking into high-scale society events. Maybe that's why it stung a little too deep when someone from the group overdosed; Not only the memories, but the fact she saw these people as her guardian figures. It make it even harder when they all graduated high school and quickly moved out of NY to make a life for themselves.

Nadine leaned off the drugs due to not having as much access to them. Instead, she began going to more concerts in order to try feeling that invincibility she used to feel when the group was all together. It's where her love of music sunk in, and next thing she knew she was tapping at her desk and humming various melodies. It was the music teacher that recruited her for band in exchange for guitar and piano lessons. It was quick, how she was able to pick up on any instrument thrown her way - but that could also just be a nod to her obsessive and perfectionistic personality.

Shit hit the fan again for her when she came home one day to find her father vanished like a ghost. At this point, she was too numb to even turn to drugs or alcohol. She became withdrawn and a lone wolf, instantly quiet. Nadine also took all that rage and turned it on individuals if anything was said that rubbed them the wrong way. The only thing keeping their sanity was the guitar and keyboard the music teacher gave her - even though she ducked out of band without a reason. DCF was quickly informed by someone - Nadine couldn't tell you who, but she feels like she owes them something for getting her to be given to her mother's sister all the way in Cape May, NJ.

The bright side started coming around Senior year. It was when she met her chosen family in Cape May, and came to the realization that she wanted to pursue music as a career. What she wasn't expecting was for a band to formulate with her new group of friends, the name coming to them during one of their 3 am smoke sessions: Vicious Apparition. All throughout senior year, the focus was on this band; Trying to get gigs, playing at house parties when they could. What really put them on the map was playing outside of venues in the parking lots for people in line to see other people. They would create a chaos that people couldn't seem to get enough of.

Shaking up the bars was one thing, but Nadine wasn't sure if it was their rising success on Spotify, or if their fans were just making that much of a ruckus over the band every night they played, but a talent scout found them one night. The rest? Well, currently, Vicious Apparition is signed to a well-known label and keeps climbing in success. They just finished their first world tour, and are prepping for a co-headlining festival gig next summer.

Nadine is someone that no one would want to mess with. Prone to cataclysmic ways, they're not afraid to get into a fight - especially if it's over something they believe in. What people way not really see about Nadine is how well-read they are. Being fond of poetry and classic books, Nadine seems to shock people when they mention their reading habits. The recklessness kicks in when they're bored, or they want to calm whatever dark clouds have swarmed into their head - this is usually seen through over-indulgence in various vices. In relationships, Nadine can be self destructive; Always having proved in her relationship timeline that she could never really hold something nice without breaking it. Conspiracy theories are an odd way to her heart, but she loves to have late night conversations that usually revolve around conspiracies and the question of 'why?' Nadine is prone to getting annoyed by people who try to assist her in any way; Believing that they are more than capable to fend for themself. If someone says something mildly incorrect, Nadine always chooses chaos in order to be sarcastic and get her fill of entertainment for the day. Nadine is a good person to vent to, seeing that they've also been through a lot; Definitely not one to go and spread everyone else's business. Nadine can be a great friend if they allow someone to get close to them, but more than likely they'll ruin it with hook-ups to make it all messy or just be keep the individual from ever really knowing them fully. But, if one manages to become a friend or someone that Nadine cares about, they're very loyal and would go to battle for their friends. Nadine does go through depressive episodes where they need space, and this makes them more snarky than usual if others try to intervene. Lover of old music, Nadine can sit and chat for hours about different eras of music and values other's opinions. 2023: Most important thing is family

First year I’ve felt a shift from my “forever young” lifestyle to realizing we are getting old. Our friends no longer join every big event. Both our grandmothers passed away earlier this year. We’ve also had some health problems we’ve had to manage. There’s more time spent at home with continued house maintenance and remodeling projects (and a little of relaxation when possible). I guess since we spend more time at home, we keep improving it. But overall, I’m like “what’s going on? Are we boring? Oh, we are just getting older”, blah.

The biggest focus this year has been family. Between birthdays, funerals, national holidays, and newborn family member, we traveled 8 times in the year to spend time with family. With all the life changes, I cherish the time I spend with our family.

Workwise, this year I hired three new people for my team, and it was the first time in 5 years working at Barr Engineering that I felt the workload was finally manageable. All those years of stress finally paid off; I have a solid team, way more money (ha!) and Barr did an article about me so getting some industry recognition.

Traveling to a new place or visiting family is my favorite thing to do. Here’s this year’s list, 9 different states and 3 new countries, not one full month spent in Denver.

The times I wasn’t traveling but stayed in Denver were memorable: 1- Goat yoga 2- Getting a limo to see SOFI TUKKER at Red Rocks 3- Bridgerton themed brunch with Elizabeth 4- Indoor mini golf with friends where I won :D 5- Denver Nuggets won the NBA championship and my obsession with Jokic started 6- Seeing The Book of Mormon 7- Makeup class with Kate at Sephora, and finally learning better makeup techniques (I know what to do with primer and bronzer) 8- Obsessed with Women’s World Cup games 9- Vivas Streets where Denver closed Broadway and Welton and had it open for bikers/walkers and no cars. So much fun. 10- Free outdoor movie The Goonies at Curtis Park 11- Tried something new: Hip Hop class with Holly 12- Seeing Jerry Seinfeld 13- Discovered new favorite restaurants: Jovanina’s Broken Italian and Bao Brewhouse

Relax time at home:

Creating art of any form is my favorite pastime. And this year I’ve become obsessed with creating miniatures. A few inspired by my recent travels: Mozart's home after Austria and Porto Winery after Portugal.

Favorite books I read this year: o The Blueprint for Revolution by Srdja Popovic o All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

Bigger focus on skin care. I have a routine of drinking tea collagen every morning, take vitamins and use serum. The occasional face mask.

The day had finally come. Their wedding day had arrived. They decided to have their special day on their anniversary, July 7. It was too perfect. Paul fixes his green tie. Green was John's favorite color so he didn't mind. He combs his hair and adds a little bit of hair spray. He expected a wild night of dancing and drinking. The last touch was the id bracelet John had given him for his birthday years before. The look was complete.

John looks in the mirror in his dressing room. He loosened his blue tie to look the way he liked it. Blue was Paul's favorite color, so he decided to wear it to make Paul happy. Sean and Julian run into the room with Mimi, John's aunt. Mimi nearly cries when she sees her handsome boy.

"Oh John. You look wonderful." She says, choking back tears.

"Oh Mimi stop that. Don't start blubbering on me." He says sarcastically.

"You look awesome Dada!" Sean and Julian say in unison.

John smiles brightly as he bends down to hug his beautiful sons. Mimi takes John by the hand and pulls him aside.

"John, you know I love you right?"

John nods, not seeing the point in the conversation.

"Be smart and don't you dare break that man's heart. Don't make me fly here and get on to you!" she says sternly, but lovingly.

"Paul, from the moment we met on this day all those years ago, I always knew you were the one. Even if I didn't show it at first. You showed me how to be comfortable with myself and open myself up to love. You gave me something that I didn't have a lot of when I was little. You gave me love and a family. And Im also thankful that Mimi likes you, or there might have been a problem."

The audience and Paul laugh. John continues, now showing a bunch of emotion.

"You... gave me hope and security."

Paul squeezes John's hand and looks at him with adoring eyes. John composes himself and relaxes, prompting him to finish.

Paul wipes away a tear as he looks down at their kids, who are smiling and hugging John's leg. Paul pulls out his vows and tries not to break down.

You were a gruff, closed off older teenager, who just needed someone to love him. I saw an opportunity, and after a lot of convincing, you fell in love with me. Best decision you ever made."

They finished up their vows, both in tears. They exchanged the rings.

The minister finished up his sermon and declared the couple legally wed. Lennon and McCartney shared a passionate kiss and the congregation went nuts. They smiled as they touched foreheads and ran down the aisle, their kids in tow.

The newly married couple piled into the limo to head to their house for the small reception. They had to be discreet to not let the media see a huge commotion in the streets. The whole way to the house, Paul and John never looked away from each other. Mimi covered the kids eyes to not "corrupt" them in her mind. They arrived at the house and everyone ran inside. George and Ringo met them at the door, dressed as waiters. They ushered everyone in and sat them down at the two long tables in the dining room. The decor had been set up while the wedding took place. There were fairy lights everywhere and flowers of John and Paul's choosing. Pictures of John and Paul from their recent photoshoot with David Bailey were everywhere. Everyone sat down to eat. The caterers brought out a four course meal, paid in full by Brian and the rest of the Beatles as a wedding gift. The meal consisted of a salad to start out with, (courtesy of Paul and his newfound vegetarianism), a pasta with brussel sprouts, a potato soup with garlic bread, and to finish, wedding cake. Paul takes John by the hand as they walk to the front to cut the vanilla and chocolate cake. George runs up to the front to say a toast to the newlyweds.

"Paulie, John, you guys are my best friends and I am so happy that you decided to make your beautiful relationship last forever. Me and Ringo and everyone here just want to say congratulations and that we love you very, very much. Hare Krishna!"

Everyone joined in, saying Hare Krishna.

Paul and John cut the cake and feed it to each other, Paul smearing it all over John's face and John straight up slapping it on Paul's cheek. They burst out laughing and so does everyone, except Mimi, who sits at the table with a disapproving look. They go to the living room, which has been emptied and the furniture moved to the side to make a dancefloor. The band begins to play and everyone begins dancing. The couple make their way onto the dancefloor, hand in hand, and everyone begins cheering. The drinks come out, and its all over. Mimi comes over to them and tells them she is taking them to her house for the night so they can have fun. John kisses Mimi goodnight and steps away to say goodbye to the kids. An already drunk Paul stays behind and waves to the kids.

"Is Daddy ok?" Julian says to John, concerned.

"Yes baby, he's just having fun. We'll see you both tomorrow ok?" John says excitedly.

Sean plants a kiss onto John's cheek and hugs him tightly.

"Night Night Dada. Watch over Daddy. He looks like he'll fall over." Sean says, observing his Daddy dance frantically.

John laughs and hugs his kids one last time before saying goodbye to Mimi. He goes back to the party to join Paul and the others. The night goes by quick, lots of drinking and dancing.

At some point, as the party dies down and people begin to leave, Paul stumbles over to a tipsy John. Paul collapses in John's lap, startling him.

"Paulie? You are so drunk love." John says, laughing.

"Mhmm... yeah. We're married." says Paul, very drunk.

The words, "We're married", ring in John's ears. It finally happened, for real. He had ever since they had kids felt that Paul already was his husband, even sometimes calling him his husband. But now it was legally binding. He cradled Paul's head as he burped and giggled.

"Johnny..." Paul burped.

"Yeah Paulie?"

"When everyone leaves, I want you and only you." Paul says giggling.

George and Ringo walk over, very drunk, and say that they are walking home. John tells them to be safe and thanks for coming. They only smile in response and wink at John. They go WOOOH on the way out and yell CONGRATULATIONS. John grabs Paul and helps him upstairs. He mumbles the whole way up and burps. John chuckles and throws Paul on the bed. He yelps in response and begins uncontrollably laughing. John grabs a beer from their mini fridge and begins to drink. Paul stirs on the bed as John looks over, completely and utterly in love.

"J..John? Come here!" Paul gestures to John.

It doesn't take John a second before he is laying on his husband, their eyes interlocked.

"I love you Paulie."

"I love you John."

They begin to mess with each other and they make love on their wedding night.
