I LOVE the idea that post sonic prime, sonic and shadow start to get close and they don’t fight anymore. (No serious fighting at least, they absolutely still spar of course!) and everyone else is just wondering what the hell happened.

Like, suddenly sonic and shadow are racing??? For fun??? They tease each other and it’s civil??? Sonic and shadow sometimes just chat??? They’re trading book recommendations???

And just seemingly out of nowhere!?

When are we gonna acknowledge the fact that the whole "Sonic is super cheerful around Shadow who finds him annoying" thing only started in Shadow the Hedgehog and that this isn't, like. their default

You wanna know what their original dynamic was? Sonic getting ticked off by Shadow's very presence, who would stop in the middle of anything no matter how urgent and time-sensitive it was just to mess with Sonic.

(He got sidetracked from his own mission to save Rouge from THE EXPLOSIVES THAT HE SET because the urge to make fun of Sonic was too strong. what is wrong with him)

And it's Sonic who starts their first fight, by the way. He was clearly taking Shadow much more seriously than the other way around; he genuinely wanted to fight, while I'm pretty sure Shadow just wanted to have some fun and show off. (AS THE BOMB IS STILL TICKING)

But at the same time, most likely because he was having fun, he seemed to be hoping that Sonic would prove himself to be something more than just... Some Guy. Why else would he seem disappointed that Sonic could be killed? And so impressed (dare I say proud) when it turned out that he survived by using Chaos Control with a fake Emerald?

All of the animosity was on Sonic's end - Shadow was the one who wanted someone to rival him. He never disliked Sonic, or found him annoying to be around. If he did, he wouldn't have spent so much time around him to begin with.

And they were somehow like this in Heroes, too. Despite his amnesia, Shadow once again listens to Sonic talk for a few seconds and immediately decides that he needs to taunt him. Searching for the answers to his identity can wait, he just thought of a great comeback and needs to style on this random hedgehog for a bit

Then you've got the absolute whiplash of Shadow's game, where all of a sudden Sonic is Super Friendly towards Shadow, who's having none of it. Even if you try to make the argument that Sonic is trying to be friendlier on purpose because he wants to bond with Shadow more, the game portrays it as if this is just How Sonic Is.

Sure, I'd expect him to be picking fewer fights with Shadow when they're working together to save the world, but he's like. borderline giddy all the time. it's kinda funny but so, so confusing in the grand scheme of things.

Sonic 06 gave a much more sensible portrayal of how the two would talk to each other after they're done being enemies, I think. There's a little bit of rivalry in there, but it's not born out of them conflicting with each other. There's no hesitation to work together, no grumbling from Shadow, and Sonic isn't being uncharacteristically excitable about it.

(Plus they retained the silent communication thing they had going at the end of SA2, which is nice)

Unfortunately, 06 was the first and only time that we would see the two of them written this way, as friends who maybe don't "hang out" but aren't the type to bicker or turn everything into a competition at the expense of practicality.

There was no hesitation to the respect they had for each other, either, which is easily the most baffling part of their current portrayals. Not even their Boom counterparts had any hangups about that, and they were legitimately antagonistic towards each other most of the time.

Case in point, I think it's very easy to look at their designs and put them into stereotypical little boxes where Sonic is the ray of sunshine while Shadow is too edgy to find him anything but annoying, but that's just. not how they are at all, and the actual ways their personalities used to bounce off of each other was both funnier and more interesting in my opinion

I'm still plugging away at the long!fic I've been working on for two damn weeks now, but I decided to take a little break to write something short for a character pairing/dynamic I haven't seen much of.

Also, a little bit of practice for dialogue heavy fics.

Pairing: Gen, Shadow & Amy Rose, (unrequited) Amy/Sonic, (unrequited) Sonic/Shadow

Summary: Sonic likes to be as free as the wind. As such, it's quite difficult to catch his eye.

Amy notices Shadow staring and decides to have a little heart to heart with him

"Oh. I know that look."

Shadow startled, not having expected Amy, of all people, to suddenly appear at his side. Team Dark had run into Team Sonic on their way to a mission, which just so happened to coincide with an Eggman attack that Sonic and his friends were battling. The overall fight hadn't lasted terribly long, but it had still been a hard won battle, given how many Heavies were mixed in with the standard badnik fair. Thus, Sonic and his little band of followers were celebrating and chatting it up with Rouge and Omega, while Shadow watched from the sidelines, mildly irritated by the delay in their own mission for GUN.

"What look?"

Amy chuckled at Shadow, clasping her hands behind her back as she rocked on her heels. She turned slightly to watch Sonic as he laughed with Tails over a joke that neither Knuckles or Omega got while Rouge simply rolled her eyes at them. "The look of someone in love."

Shadow scoffed, his posture stiffening as his shoulders lifted defensively. "What are you babbling about, Rose?"

She shot him a look, a sad little smile on her face. "Oh, please," she sighed, letting her hands drop to her sides, "You've been staring at Sonic since the fight ended. Maybe since before that."

"That's because he's being a distraction and keeping my team from their objective," Shadow protested, folding his arms over his chest.

"Mhmmm. Then why don't you just go tell Omega and Rouge to wrap it up so you can go on your way?"

"I-" Shadow began, floundering slightly for an excuse. He could feel his cheeks heating up the longer his brain churned trying to come up with an answer, while Amy simply watched him with a knowing smirk on her face.

"That's what I thought," she finally said, letting Shadow off the hook, turning to look back to their friends. "It's okay, you know," she added after a beat, lacing her fingers together in front of her, "That you love him."

"I never admitted to that!" the hybrid snapped, ears pinning back as his increased volume drew the attention of Rouge. He waved her off quickly, turning to Amy with a scowl. "What are you getting at, Rose?"

Amy quickly lifted her hands in a placating gesture, waving Shadow off as his quills visibly bristled. "Just that, y'know, I'm not upset that you love him, too. He makes it really easy. I've been noticing, lately, a lot of people sort of falling in love with him. Not properly, not really, since it's more like hero worship? But, since I came to terms with the fact that he'll never love me back, it's been hard not to notice it in other people."

Forcing his quills to soften, Shadow let out a huff of air, flicking his gaze briefly to their friends to ensure they were still engaged in conversation, before turning back to Amy. "And, pray tell, what type of love do you think I have for him? I'm curious as to your perspective."

"Proper love," the pink hedgehog supplied with a little shrug, "The kind that starts as a tiny spark and grows through shared experience, victory and trauma. The kind that solidifies when you see the worst of someone, and still know you'd stay by their side as long as they'll have you. The kind that truly blossoms when that person shows you sides of themselves that almost no one else gets to see, in private little moments. The same kind of love that I have for him."

"You…how can you possibly know that?" The hybrid was flabbergasted by Amy's observation, not having realized that he was quite so obvious with his affection for the blue blur. He knew he had a tendency to stare, but surely his emotions weren't that easy to read?

"Like I said, it's the same way that I feel," she sighed, picking idly at one of her gloves, "So I find it pretty easy to spot in others. But, don't worry. I don't think any one else has picked up on it."

"That's reassuring," Shadow muttered, absently running his fingers through his quills to straighten them out. With anyone else he would begin threatening them with death, should they ever spill his secrets, but for some reason he'd always been a bit of a soft touch for Amy. Instead, he simply cleared his throat, hoping the flush in his cheeks wasn't noticible through his fur. "What about him? Does he…have feelings for anyone?" he asked tentatively, voice quiet and low.

"Oh, I wish," Amy chuckled, though it was sad, a wistful expression overtaking her face as she stared off past their friends, "I've been following Sonic for as long as he's let me, and loved him nearly as long. For a long time I thought simple persistence was the key, then I tried heroics to try and impress him. Gifts, food, compliments…Nothing catches his interest. He's rescued some of the prettiest Mobians on the planet from certain doom, many of whom have practically thrown themselves at his feet, and absolutely no one and nothing has kept his interest for longer than a fleeting moment. I'm surprised I haven't seen a spark of interest in you, if I'm being honest."

"Me?"

"Yeah," Amy hummed, nodding slightly, "You're the first person to keep up with him. When everything I tried failed, and I saw how you two ran side by side, I thought maybe that was it. Maybe he needed someone who could go toe to toe with him and keep up. Challenge him in a way no one else ever really has. Not without being a threat-"

"I'm a threat!"

"You know what I mean," Amy snorted, shooting Shadow a glare, the hybrid immediately deflating, "But even you, with your strength, speed, flashy quills and pretty eyes weren't enough to keep him looking your way for more than a few seconds."

"Are you telling me to give up?" Shadow asked, narrowing his eyes slightly, suspicion plain on his face.

"If you're asking if I'm telling you to back off or keep your distance or something, I already told you that it was fine," Amy said, rolling her eyes, "I know nothing I say or do will make him love me. I've come to terms with that. At this point, I'm just happy if he's happy, honestly. And, hey, who knows? Maybe you'll do something spectacular that I could never manage and make him see you."

"Knowing Sonic's short attention span, that seems like a tall order."

"Doesn't it?" Amy laughed, her momentary dour demeanor shifting back to her usual chipper attitude. "Stranger things have happened!"

"Hmph. Indeed they have," Shadow snorted, offering Amy one of his rare smiles.

"But, you know," she added quietly, taking a step forward and turning so her back was to their friends, "if he never does…if the call of freedom keeps him running with the wind forever…I'll be there. We can watch a bad romcom while eating ice cream and complain about how dumb he is. Yeah?"

Shadow blinked in mild surprise at the offer, before letting out a low chuckle and nodding slightly. "I think that sounds quite agreeable."

"Is that a laugh from Shadow, I hear?" Sonic's voice shattered Amy and Shadow's moment of camaraderie, the hero zipping up next to them with his trademark grin on his face to be met with a scoff from Shadow and a light giggle from Amy. "Hark! A miracle doth occur," Sonic called, slinging an arm around Shadow's shoulders, earning a grunt of displeasure from the hybrid as he was hauled into Sonic's side.

Shadow cast a brief glance to Amy, who simply gave him a reassuring little smile and a thumbs up. Perhaps having her to commiserate with over the blue buffoon would be nice.

Also one thing to note, I basically had Dark Sapote finished months ago. I think you can tell by the way their lineart doesn’t entirely match what I do now. Literally all that was left was the sketch, which I did today. There’s another fankid in that boat, so she might get posted today too (among others that I just have forgotten to post)

But also on top of that, it’s been a good while since I’ve thought about Dark Sapote, so I may miss some stuff

Anyways, on to Dark Sapote. They’re half dragon and live in the Dark Cacao Kingdom. They have a more dragon like form they can transform into, though it’s more of a drake than a dragon, and they don’t turn into it often. They’re technically an heir to the Dark Cacao Kingdom throne, but they don’t do much of anything, so they aren’t really considered such. They also choose to live outside of the Citadel in a cave somewhere

Dark Sapote is extremely chill and often very sleepy, to the point where they’re pretty lazy. However, this isn’t entirely due to their nature, but rather due to the temperature. Because the kingdom is so cold, their body’s essentially in a low power state, as they subconsciously are in a brumation state, but also aren’t reptilian enough to actually go into it, so they’re just stuck like this. And they specifically have this problem because Pitaya is from a tropical and more fiery climate, and Dark Sapote inherited biology for a warmer climate, not a colder one. No one is really aware that this is the reason Dark Sapote is like this, not even Dark Sapote themself

In higher temperatures, they become more active and energetic, and in addition they become more powerful. But because they live where their power is dampened pretty much all the time, they don’t have the best grasp on their full power. If they were to go to say, Dragon’s Valley, they’d likely unleash mayhem with their uncontrollable power. Not quite sure how they haven’t encountered this problem yet, but whatever

They grew up in the Dark Cacao Kingdom simply because they liked Dark Cacao more than Pitaya, but they kind of all unwittingly created this giant problem for Dark Sapote, leaving them in this state

Anyways, on to the design

So Dark Sapote is a name I’ve had on file for a long time, after I discovered the existence of black sapotes, which is what they’re based on. Black sapotes are a tropical fruit like pitaya, and apparently when ripe, they taste similar to chocolate pudding

So to look for things to say on their design, I watched the time lapse video Procreate makes, and now I remember, Dark Sapote was hell to design. And if I’m being honest, I think the rough sketch is the best version of them

They were apparently originally going to have horns or a crown of sorts, but I decided against it or it just didn’t work. Side note, but I need to give my characters more accessories, especially in the hair. That’s how they end up looking so plain

Their hair is supposed to be the same between the sketch and the final design, but you can’t really see it with the pose. Apparently I tried other hairstyles that would make it visible but for some reason I decided against them

Their side hair thing is supposed to be from Pitaya, with their side bang things, but I don’t think I executed it super well

The colors on the armor were such a pain, mostly because Dark Sapote has so many dark colors, making them all blend in with each other and the black lineart (I only color it at the end once colors are finalized). That was what made me shelve them for so long, because I couldn’t get them to look right, until one day I came back and was like “yeah good enough” and colored the lines, and then left because I was out at the time

Also the colors themselves aren’t the most appealing. The green and brown come from the fruit itself, but they aren’t the nicest to look at

To be honest, I think Dark Sapote needs another shot at a design. The final product isn’t the worst, but it definitely could have turned out better. And also, I like their character

And yeah, that’s Dark Sapote. If you see a redesign of them later on, don’t be too surprised. But regardless, I hope you can enjoy them in some capacity

An Analysis about Eggman and his Creations

^ Very interesting video, please give it a watch. It's what inspired me write this in the first place.

I always enjoyed exploring the dynamics and relationships between characters. The one between Shadow and Eggman never took my attention until now, most likely because the Shadow the Hedgehog game is a big rabbit hole in many ways. But I sometimes questions this relationship between Shadow and the Robotnik generations that came after Maria.

But I very briefly put my thoughts out about Eggman's relationships between his creations before. And since Frontiers I wondered how his new found fatherhood will go, I think it's clear to me that Eggman obviously has a favourite, and has made him soften up a little and that is for Sage, and yet why?

Is it because she is more human? Someone who has more sentience? the reminder of Maria? or that she achieved more than and over done than any other of his creations (That's probably what he thinks at least, argue with me if you want). Despite what you may think continuity wise, he was perfectly ok with throwing Metal Sonic out and a part of me thinks that he was there during TMOSTH because Sage grew fond of him and viewed him as an older brother, even Orbot thinks so as well.

Eggman has built many robots with sentience (and shows successful potential) and has all felt resentment after their abandonment or realized what their current situation is. He is an abusive creator, and does things for his own gain, because after all he can always build another robot.

Specifically with Belle, she was made by Mr Tinker, and had a loving relationship with each other. Afterwards, when Eggman regained his memories, he held no respect to their previous relationship when she finally decides to let go of the past and faced that Mr. Tinker is no more, she is a reminder of the pathetic man he saw himself as before and did not bother holding on to what that life gave him (and also we can't kill off Eggman).

Metal Sonic, in recent years, is a very loyal dog. He will stick by Eggman's side no matter what. He endures the abuse that is put up from Eggman, and is content when being praised when succeeding. He has shown to be rebellious before, I assume Eggman has fixed that after the events of Heroes, but he still has thoughts of his own.

And yet why does he still stick around? Is it the fear of what happened post Heroes? Is he bounded to his programming or does he truly feel that he owes Eggman his loyalty? If the pursuit of being the true Sonic is still there, then why work for him?

Then there's Sage, an AI, a technology that outputs the best results based on facts and information. It is shown that she has grew fond of Eggman during her time in Frontiers and shown to be just as, if not then more loyal than Metal Sonic. She is still made by Eggman, so she is obligated to stay by his side at the very start, but she is young and analytical. Part of me wants to question how much of this relationship is built upon just making the other happy, and how much is just pure love.

I believe Sage shows the human side of Eggman, someone who hasn't had second thoughts about himself until now. His manipulative and arrogant demeanour is still there but he tries to be a father, and actually shows remorse when he loses her. Both characters make each human and inhumane, and that Eggman will turn out to be a faulty father to Sage, but at the very core he cares for her.

From the very beginning this whole family tree is shown to be very dysfunctional, but they've tried at least.

Okay. N!Trephacard :P I don't understand its sheer popularity, to the point that I've seen people genuinely disappointed that the endgame wasn't them entering a poly relationship - girl (gn) they're total pricks to each other! Just because they fight well together it doesn't erase how mean they are, mostly Sypha and Alucard towards Trevor (god I fucking hate N!Alucard, classist xenophobic piece of shit), but even Trevor and Sypha happily ditching Alucard in his destroyed childhood home to grieve alone his patricide, bruh. I think fans have hallucinated something that simply isn't there during the hiatuses and after the end.

And N!Isaactor, since we're in NFCV territory. I don't like N!Isaac. I thikn he's an asshole who suddenly decided he's Jesus and his amazing resolution is "wow i'm so fucking great, i can change the world for myself, i can kill people and feel good about it!". I don't like the idea that he'd be the Rosaly for N!Hector after all the shit he went through. He hasn't earned that position >:(

But hey if I'm allowed to rant about NFCV ships I'd be here all day, they all suck :P

Aside from that, oh man so many popular ships I dislike from my fandoms lmao. Not really from the CV games though - most ships revolve around Alucard, which I personally find unshippable, but that doesn't mean I don't understand the appeal. Same with Maleon, which I'm not as invested in as others are but I get why it's popular ofc. I can't think of any ship that makes me audibly groan lol.

So uhhhhh well from other fandoms we have Sonadow from Sonic (Shadow is another character I'm not interested in shipping, but even then I don't particularly care about his dynamic with Sonic, I have found more interesting "gay rival" relationships in other works), Blackmadhi from AA (I can't stand Nahyuta and I think Simon deserves better than that zealous unfunny prick who deliberately rallied the court gallery against Athena for no good reason other than to be a prick :P), and Lapidot from SU (I'm so uncomfortable with it for personal reasons and I believe their resolution sucked).

Ended up fully fleshing out The 10 sonadow kids and the espilver and Blazamy kids:

Starting with the BABIESSS we've got the triplets with Pickels the Fossa, Snowy the Kinkajou and PaintBrush (P.B for short) the coatimundi (P.B's entire name is literally Paint Brush, but i just added the extra title so we know what he.. IS.)

Pickles and Snowy are "twins" in the way that they look similar but very much are not related.

They were all found at the same time (kittens in a box sort of deal)

Trixie was found a couple of years after Alberto but i just havent made an actual adult form of her yet- bur she was adopted at age 3.

My girl watched the pony show and yall should KNOW whos her favorite character

WATTZ my little adorable one- really wants to be cool like Sonic and Shadow but the heart is so big and pure its hard to look stoic and cold when you've got the sweetest little golden heart in the world

And Banjo (who i originally named Bongos bur decided to change it) who is the akward teenager that likes his alone time and music. Not nuch to be said here other than there is never a time where i shall pass up the opportunity to turn this guy into a little pangolin ball with his dads.

You can tell my favorite characters have got to be Luca. She was the first and shes a wrestler (luchador anyone?) Shes the big relaiable sister who will infact pummel you, and i love that.

Might need to work on Summer and Albetro but otherwise these are what i call the "guineapig group" in the sense that they were the first, thus the eldest out of all the kiddos. I dont have kid forms for them but the stuff her is simple- took after the other parent too much, with Luca be dabsmack in the middle of influence. They all have their own quirks and likings but overrall i love the "how many idiots does it take to fix a lightbulb" and the awnser is none because Luca broke it and then bought a new one.

Oh yeah and Greybelle's a crybaby did i mention that? Hes also a late bloomer when it comes to his powers (mostly bcs i dont know what powers to give him yet)

Okayy and for the OTHER ship babies:

I find Greybelle's (should i name him Turnip or like idk some cute plant name or just keep the watermelon name?) And Flares dynamic hilarious because its literally the direct opposite of Silver's and Blaze's dynamic in which these two fucking HATE eachother. Childhood freinds? More childhood enemies.

Flare has her powers early because shes just like that. She looks calm and collected like Blaze (but she seriously has the temper equivalent to a matchstick in a pit of gasoline- which means shes also a rage quitter)

Oh and more baby time with the unnamed baby because i cant think of a name

More comics stuff with THE BABY and like a poster of Trixies magic show (its her all grown up 😊) as well as Sonic teaching Banjo how to play guitar for the first time (the first step towards his long journey of become a musician 😊)

Alright thats about it. I guess i could do more on metalsonic and Chaos but im pretty sure the entire robot kingdom and chao species are basically they're uhh family so i dont think they need the extra stress of an actual fucking weird robot waterbaby child (though that would be a kickass design ngl)

Also thinking about doing Rouge, Wave and knuckles because yeah they've got a thing going on and its like they're all buddies and soemtimes Rouge makes out with Wave. Thats about it. #singleforever

So I've had this idea in my head for a while. You know that Shadow and Amy have very few interactions in the games, right? What if the reason for this was that Shadow really likes Amy, but since he doesn't age, he's afraid of getting too fond of her? Like, because he doesn't age, at some point he's going to see pretty much all of his friends age and die, (Okay, maybe not Omega, since he's a robot, but still). I wonder if he doesn't get too close to many people because he's afraid of losing them, like he lost Maria. (Also, and I'm sorry if there are some grammatical errors here, I'm Brazilian, I can read English without problems, but writing is another thing) (Sorry if the text is too big, that's my first Ask, or Headcanon, i don't know)

Oh, that’s absolutely a possibility. I’ve wondered that myself. Her being similar to Maria would only compound the problem. But that only makes Shadamy more compelling to me. Like...no one--no one--can shut out Amy Rose forever. If she wants to be your friend, it’s only a matter of time until she finds a way in. Cautious Blaze? One of her best friends. Socially awkward Silver? Swiftly demolished his walls with a hug and had him questioning his purpose in less than a day. Skittish Flickies? Naturally flock to her like she’s a Disney princess. Even Sonic’s relaxed around her now. And I don’t think I need to remind anyone of the way she is very often the only one who can get through to Shadow. They apparently barely know each other, but she’s the one to turn him around in SA2, in the “Miracle of Love” and “Black Hero’s Rebirth” routes in ShTH, and in Archie’s Treasure Team Tango arc, all after everyone else had given up on him. If she ever decides to pursue him, he won’t stand a chance, mark my words.

Okay, conspiracy theory time.

This is based on nothing apart from a hunch and personal bias, but I sometimes wonder if Sega considered that themselves and have largely kept them separate because they feel it could threaten s0namy’s impact and popularity. By the end of *one game* where Shadow and Amy spent time together, a ton of people had already fallen in love with them. Those people form a sizable chunk of Shadamy fans to this day, even twenty years later! The ending of ShTH gives off the distinct impression that if Shadow were the protagonist of this series, Amy would be in love with him, not Sonic.

Big things tend to happen when the two of them are onscreen together, and I’m sure Sega knows that. A small part of me sincerely believes that Sega’s afraid to give Shadamy more than a handful of breadcrumbs for fear that it could be a serious contender. They just work WAY too well together.

I’m probably off the mark with this. Lord knows I could never be objective about it, lol...but on the off-chance that I AM right...there could be fantastic news ahead.

Frontiers doesn’t have Shadow in it, but the plot and characterization look great so far. Ian Flynn really gets these characters.

You know what else Ian Flynn wrote? That entire shippy Treasure Team Tango arc I mentioned before.

He *gets* them. He values their dynamic. And he knows how to show it off while still acknowledging s0namy’s role in the narrative, something Sega would appreciate. If Sega lets him keep writing games as many people think they will, there is a very real chance that he’ll let these two shine together again the way they should, platonic or not. The optimist in me is very excited for that possibility.

Don’t worry about your writing, by the way! The text looks just fine to me, and your grammar is great. I had assumed you were a native speaker until you said that. Great job! :)

I like Macaque as a character because im a sucker for edgy bastards but sometimes i feel like the fandom does 90% of the lifting and forgets whats canon and whats fanon.

aaaaaaa yeah @hoshihime98 edgy basturds can be neat! And in all honesty I feel like Macaque's character could go in some really cool directions but as is I really wish there was more acknowledgment of Journey to the West in people's fandom stuff with the lego show version of the Six Eared Macaque because it makes his whole deal extremely funny in a pathetic & tragic way. Like dude it seems that you've spent centuries ruining your life & trying to ruin the lives of everyone even slightly connected to Sun Wukong because the monkey you tried to murder-replace doesn't want to be your friend.

Also I don't know that much about speedy hedgehog lore so I feel I can't comment too much on what defines the Sonic-Shadow Rivalry or say that much about what makes Shadow a good character...so correct me if I'm wrong, but Shadow's whole thing is that he starts off with a hatred of humanity and a massive sense of violent pride in himself as "The Ultimate Life Form," but then he starts interacting with the world he once only sneered at and recalling memories of a human who literally gave up everything to save his life, and from then on he's still standoffish & prideful but does become willing and even happy to live in the world of what he once considered "lesser" beings, yes?

But tbh if that's the case I feel like that's almost the exact opposite of Macaque's whole deal. As I've said before, the thing that makes Macaque potentially so interesting and tragic in a pretty scary way is that his entire existence--which in JTTW is about the monkey king having to confront the the worst aspects of himself and overcome them--isn't really about him, but only ever about Sun Wukong. Heck, even in the 90% of the lifting for this character that you mention that often gives him super angsty backstories to explain his atrocious behavior a lot of the ones I've encountered don't really seem to be interested in him a unique individual, but mainly about what his relationship to the monkey king was like & how it shaped him & what it could be in this au or the other. In other words, even now and even in fandom he's basically not an independent entity, but only ever a monkey who's very identity is fundamentally tied to the monkey king. And this is for me the potentially most frightening and fascinating thing about the Six Eared Macaque; that in so completely tying his identity to that of Sun Wukong's--especially with the JTTW background of him literally fighting to BE Sun Wukong--he was left with functionally no independent identity of his own. So tbh even if the monkie crew wanted to recreate a Sonic & Shadow rivalry I personally feel like what we have is the somewhat humorously tragic case of a violently obsessed Macaque & a Sun Wukong who doesn't really care unless the shadow simian is deliberately going after people the monkey king loves.

As such, I am once again asking the fandom & the crew to acknowledge & work with this more unique relationship rather than drive their dynamic more into ye olde cliche of "wah you were my friend but then you weren't & now I'm going to be horrifically awful to everyone you care about until a bigger bad comes along & beats me up so that the plot can decide we have an excuse to instantly reconcile & so I can immediately become part of team good guy & we can be fwiends :3"

Do you think Amy will appear in the movies?

I hope she's there by the time we start seeing stuff from Sonic 3. I think right now Team Sonic is a lot more varied than their game counterparts (mostly due to Tails' own insecurities being a lot more pushed to the front here and Knuckles building up to his traditional guardian self) and, like you said, adding Amy as the fourth element could make for fascinating dynamics with everyone else (and someone also mentioned her interacting with Maddie and especially Rachel).

Thing is, after watching the movie I don't know how they'll introduce more anthros. I've been trying to think how any more portals can be accessed and where Amy would fit in that, but I have no idea right now. Maybe if they introduce Little Planet as a plot device...?

Adding Amy would also be a great way to improve writing, since they can't pull a Rachel with Amy and make go all "psycho fangirl" because it'll stick out sooooo badly. If she's there, she'll have to be active and ready to fight, think Maddie in the last half of Sonic 2 but on steroids.

What did you think when you saw the credits scene? Were you excited like everyone?

I actually knew Shadow was coming thanks to some Reddit leaks months ago that spoiled most of the plot (thankfully it missed some key details), but I didn't know how it would play out in context. I actually recorded audio from the last 15 minutes of the movie and I have proof that my friends and I went nuts when that scene played.

So, two things I liked a TON and surprised me from that post-credits:

They set up Stone as a potential main threat just in case Jim Carrey doesn't return for Sonic 3. They did enough work putting Stone in a position of power that now he can be either a spy for Robotnik within G.U.N., or his own rise to the main villain spotlight. I see great things coming from him anyway.

I was actually shocked by them reusing the "50 years ago" plot point from SA2. I thought Shadow in this universe would be a lot more different, a literal creation by G.U.N. in direct response to Sonic and Robotnik being so dangerous. But nope, we are going back to SA2 ways and we were all shocked to see it's literally his game design in the movie. I thought they would show a black silhouette or something different, not the game design lol.

...Or were you hoping for something/someone else, like a certain pink character?

tbh I mourned her absence long before the movie came out. Those movie leaks mentioning Shadow made me lose most hope. Of course I still somewhat believed that she would make a tiny appearance, since there were rumors about this little "ice cream truck scene" that I think even Idris Elba himself mentioned...? But I think it was either a deleted scene or a misunderstanding of the ice cream truck scene in Seattle at the start of the movie.

In hindsight, I can kinda see how adding Amy right now would've been too much for a movie that's already packed with stuff and decided to focus so much on Sonic-Tails-Knuckles. A little tease at the end would've been lovely, but I guess we're going all (team) dark and serious for Sonic 3.

Like I said a few paragraphs ago, I still hope she'll be there for Sonic 3. Friends of mine like @waywardcollectionchai and @potatoes-tomatoes perfectly pointed out the fact Shadow's arc works because of Amy, because she's the one who ultimately untangles Shadow's confused mindset in SA2, and right now I don't see any character in the movieverse able to do that. No "Wachowski family special" will be effective if the writers decide to stick to SA2 Shadow lore. (Maybe Rachel's daughter? I don't know, she has less of a role here in Sonic 2, I don't expect much from her in Sonic 3).

We don't know as of know, and the writers don't want to adapt every game in a linear fashion (I think that was already clear when Sonic 2 had tons of Sonic Adventure vibes, but people were shocked). I hope Amy is there, and now that G.U.N. is here, maybe we can have a cameo from that special agent Rouge we all know and love. There's lots of lore potential concerning the Owls vs Echidnas, Tails' world and more places from where anthros could come in rushing to find out what the hell is going on with that absurd amount of Chaos Energy on Earth. Let's cross our fingers!

gosh i havent thought that much about shadamy in awhile!! i was REALLLLY into it tho, just as much as i was into sonamy, like i honestly couldnt decide which i liked more.

but ok well, i think i ship them more platonically firstofall (tho im not against romantically, we just haven't seen them together that many times? i would LOOOVE more interaction with them) and she'd be really good for helping him open up more about his thoughts and feelings, encourage him to be kind and thoughtful. people like to say that Sonic is a lot like Maria, and maybe they are similar!- Maria never got the chance to be adventurous or active though, and in SA2, Amy clearly reminded Shadow of Maria just as he was about to watch Earth be destroyed. She reminded and showed Shadow the actual meaning in Maria's words, what she wanted for Shadow and thats how he was able to save the world.

Amy's a really 'get into her feelings' kind of person and i can see her and Shadow having a few arguements and disagreements and lack of communication and understanding between them. It would def be really rocky at first (while Sonic on the other hand, just *understands* Shadow and leaves him be if needed, or confronts him directly and straight to the point). It would take a long time for Amy to really understand Shadow who's a closed door, and Amy's a open book and maybe that scares Shadow. He doesnt understand someone like her, who is so selfless and kind and lends a helping hand to anyone in need, and maybe he hates being on the other hand of that dynamic- he sees it as being weak, and Amy could teach him that theres bravery in kindness.

On a happier note tho, some activities i can see them enjoying together. Clearly Amy cant keep up with him in combat or speed, but she has a good endurance, and i can see her taking him out shopping or to local game arcades, or maybe help him with gardening. he grumbles and complains at the thought of being around people and doesnt like the center of attention but i think he'd think the experience is worth it

In battle, he'd be pretty annoyingly worried about Amy, she's not as strong or skilled as him and Sonic, or as elusive and cunning as Rouge- and you know, he wouldnt wanna lose someone close to him a second time, so he'd prob jump in front of Amy all the time and Amy would get soooo pissed off at him and theyd just get into a yelling match in the middle of the battlefield and everyone else is just face palming and its sooo awkward for everyone.

Finally, sonic who's known amy like his whole life, assures Shadow that shes more than capable of taking care of herself. Yes she was the damsel in distress in the past, but she's gotten stronger, not only for her friends but for herself and he's seen the improvement. it takes a lot of convincing to calm Shadow and so maybe he tries to work together more as a team with her. He's not used to that, so he'll still mess up and still try to get the most enemies defeated, but thats because he wants all the glory. it's still kinda annoying to Amy but he's trying i suppose!

Or maybe I'm giving Shadow too much credit, maybe he leaves Amy by herself TOO much, leaves her to fend for himself, refuses to work as a coordinated team. He's always worked alone, and when he doesn't its with Rouge, and its more like theyre fighting alone but together- if that makes sense. This irritates Amy cause 'arent we friends? friends look out for each other' and he'd be like, ive always been able to look out for myself' and she'll say 'yes but not all of us are Ultimate Lifeforms like you. What's all your power and strength for if not used to protect those who need you?' and once again she reminds him of Maria's promise. She's really good at humbling him and gently or harshly putting him back in his place depending on whats going on.

Amy of course finds herself stumped from time to time and goes to Rouge a lot for advice, to which Rouge is happy to help but says sometimes its best to leave things alone as she's learned to do when it comes to Shadow. Rouge is kinda relived too, now that Amy's trying to take over as some sort of caretaker for Shadow. Takes some of the stress out of the older girl's hair. Amy can't leave things alone though and just pushes and pushes Shadow until he snaps at her and lets her have it. It sucks but at least he's communicating. Again, Amys not one to back down and tells him that what he does hurts her and his friends. Shadow grumbles that he doesnt care but he doooes when it comes to Rouge and Amy, and eventually learns that to have the girls stop pestering him is to just *tell them* what hes thinking or feeling. He learns its just easier to do that than have them bothering him for days and days.

this is a lot of "amy makes shadow a better guy" so let me think of how Shadow helps Amy for once, okay so obvs i think he'd be up to sparring with her on a lower level to help her advance her skills. She becomes a much stronger fighter. Since she doesnt have the speed he or Sonic does, he teacher her to put all she has into her Piko Hammer, helps her go through rigorous training to better wield the weapon in a more convenient manner rather than just swinging her hammer around and wasting energy when it doesnt hit. He'll even rope Omega in who's more than happy to shoot a moving target. Amy will have to skillfully weave and dodge through it all, or use her hammer to block or deflect the projectiles.

I guess he'd tried to teach her to be more careful of the people she trusted, not to trust so easily and openly. But I think she'd be pretty adamant about it, after all, she trusted him pretty much as soon as she met Shadow, and when she met Omega (E 123 Gamma? sorry cant remember if theyre the same character), along with a bunch of other baddies. She's not afraid of getting hurt or being wrong or trying to be the try hard good guy, she cares more about giving second chances to those who want it. Shadow and Amy agree to disagree but its brought up when its relevant.

hopefully this is good enough?? idk the shadamy fanfics i read back in the day, Shadow was either a really emo guy in highschool or some guy in a gang or mafia, and along came amy this really preppy girl who'd bring him out of his shell and into the sunshine, until one day her life was in danger and he'd have to save her, and sonic was either the villian or some asshole jock kid who get jealous now that amy wasnt always on him, or it was shadow's dad LOL that was THE formula for shadamy fics back then.

Hi Everyone, With the new Sonic Trailers out and my unbelievable Hive mind Connection with Some of Sega's greatest and brightest staff, Allow me to once again Try and Predict the premise of the next Sonic Game or Sonic things.

I am so incredibly sad to say that I have successfully guessed tons of Sonic plots and ideas. Though since I never got the opportunity to post anything for several different reasons nobody will believe me.

That's cool though at this point not really mad or care that much. I have come to terms I'm being discouraged from pursuing any related Career stuff I had wanted to pursue in the area.

Just for the wall so far

1.I created a Tail Transforming character (Based off of tails) all the way back in like 2008-2010. Her Name Was Sammy. She also had two tails like tails but her main perk was it transforming into different thing. I did actually post about her in amino once prior to tangled release.

1A. Fast Forward. Tangle. A tail Transforming hero. Crazy

2. I had really wanted a sonic fighting game. Like I could totally see how one would happen. Had never heard of sonic the fighters prior. Pretty much had the idea around 2010

2A. Bam Rise of lyric. Sonic Fighting game. Wow. Incredible. How could this happen.

3.ahh heres a good one. Around 2011 while I was still doodling and spriting my sonic comic/animation series storylines and plotlines, I came up with this villain that would force sonic and my heroes to go to different worlds (through portals)and battle to win each one before they could finally face him.

One of the world themed was a zombie apocalypse, I liked the idea of someone like Sonic or shadow getting infected because someone with their speed would be hyper fast and make for an interesting dynamic in a Mobian themed apocalypse.

3A. Fast Forward and holy tarp. How in the heck. Zombocalpyse. I admit since I never got to refine my idea they definitely worked it out better. But a male villain who forces the crew to go through portals until they can finally face him? With a give or take here or there that's pretty much the premise of the Idw comics during that era. At this point it had happened already so much I wasn't even surprised.

4.You can't tell me there Is more. So in one of my fan stories I had come up with different wisps(I still have a few new ones I just made) but one of them was pip that alpha wisp, actually posted about this on amino. Basically he gets stronger the more he uses his power. But in one storyline they had to go underwater so I gave him a little Diver suit to wear. That gave me the idea to maybe give the wisps other apparel. Quite recently I thought about giving them little hats and things

4A.Guess.Heckin. What. New trailer drops. Wisps with apparel. I realize it's not the most revolutionary of ideas but are you kidding me.

This isn't even scratching the surface of all of them. But I decided heck, clearly I'm not getting anywhere why not try and guess the new Sonic Game plotline and Sonic movie?Who knows maybe I'll crack open one of their secrets first.

So first in line, the game.

Sonic Colors 2 not the remaster of sonic colors 1.

Sonic Colors two takes place right after Forces. Since the phantom ruby either fritzed out or exploded it sent Eggman in the wisp galaxy. He only ever grabbed a few planets before via tractor beam but now he's in the whole system. So he decides to give the wisps another go. Except this time, he wants to awaken the great Wisp or "The World Devourer" (Cough Cough MerloW?) after he finds ruins talking about it.

Once again Needing his aid and turning to Sonic and Tails with his now perfect translator, Wiz Sonic and Tails must now explore the other planets in the wisps solar system in a race against Eggman to stop him before he releases the The World Devourer.

While on this subject prepare for even more wisps and even more planets.We already know there are other wisps we haven't seen planets for thanks to the wisps in lost world. All on all I think this is a pretty likely explanation. Might see wisps combinations like we had in sonic simulator maybe not.

Now onto the sonic movies! Won't spoil too much but here is what your lineup is probably gonna look like if they continue to succeed.

3.Sonic Tails, Knuckles, Maybe Amy, all the other chaos emeralds and Perfect Chaos. Yep the whole second movie is a setup to perfect chaos trying to flood earth. Ah so we might get Tikal back! Yayyy

4. Shadow the edgehog. It's only natural, he comes next in Game order anyways, plus we have already seen what Gun is willing to do to get sonic. Literally hired robotnik.

5.This is actually my sister's guess but Silver and Blaze. I think it's a pretty solid guess.

Okay let's try this again. tumblr keeps crashing on me.

So we all know the typical ShadAmy dynamic of Shadow not liking Amy at all in the beginning right. Now! Consider!

Shadow has had a crush on Amy for a while. She's so nice and optimistic and compassionate w/o being naive abt it. She's always willing to see the good in others too. Which is why it always bugs him that Sonic doesn't take her seriously and always leaves her behind and claims things are too dangerous and no he's not jealous!

And b/c I love Team Dark ofc they're gonna get involved. Shadow does a good job of hiding his crush but eventually Rouge figures it out and she can't believe how absolutely obvious he is. She teases him abt it every chance she gets. Ofc only when it's the two or three of them. She's not gonna do it in front of Team Sonic or Amy others. And ever since she found out, she takes advantage of the fact that's she's the TL and tries to get her team and Sonic's team to work together every chance she gets (read: whenever Amy is tagging along). Or, if they happen to find Amy wandering around on her own (whether she's been left behind or looking for Sonic), Rouge pulls her into the group.

Shadow doesn't know if he wants to thank Rouge or kill her.

Omega is just living. He likes Amy. She doesn't treat him like a weapon and doesn't use that weird sarcasm thing the others do. That and she's a capable combatant who's more than willing to help or let him destroy all the badniks.

Sonic, though, ofc isn't gonna be happy abt it. He's not gonna be a mean jerk abt it b/c I'm tired of that overused trope. He just doesn't like the shady tactics Team Dark uses to get stuff done. Not to mention they're a terrible influence on Amy!

Which can be what gets Amy to stop having romantic feelings for Sonic. Not that he's being a dick to her, but that he's treating her like Tails. Essentially like a sibling.

Ofc it's gonna bum Amy out but she's just happy he still cares for her. And she'll slowly start holding back on all her romantic gestures and eventually realizes that yeah, he's only ever seen her as a sister. She eventually realizes they get along better in that dynamic so she and Sonic grow a lil closer (which ofc Shadow misinterprets and becomes even moodier.)

Tho now that she doesn't have any one to chase after, she decides to try looking for someone else to potentially date. She asks Rouge for flirting advice that Amy happily tries on just abt every guy she knows (except Tails b/c if Sonic sees her like a sister Tails probably does too).

Rouge, ofc instantly starts trying to set Amy and Shadow up w/ the help of an unwitting Omega. Sonic's still not happy abt it b/c he still thinks Shadow and Team Dark are a bad influence. But he goes abt it in a disapproving brother way as opposed to a jackass way.

Anyways yeah. I wanted to write a fic but I doubt I'd ever finish it if I did so I just wrote out this to share instead.

Thank you and great question!~

When you start any story, there needs to be a written Outline, or spine, of a story. Loglines also help to organize a clear direction for your story– example: Sonic, a free-spirited and adventurous hedgehog, and his friends must collect all 7 chaos emeralds to stop Eggman and a released, ancient god of destruction from threatening their world. - Logline I made up for Sonic Adventure. A logline is one sentence that clearly establishes a character and conflict.

Once you have some ideas, let’s say maybe you have the middle worked out or the exciting incident, you then create an Outline. Act 1, Act 2, Act 3. Act 2 should be the longest and biggest portion.

In my prompts, I usually hurry through Act 1 to get you to the exciting incident and then smoothly transition through a wrapped up conclusion.

Act 1 should be small, almost equal to Act 3′s plot points. Act 1 is you introducing the normal life before something twists it around, the conflict. The conflict is the starting point to Act 2, where you begin the rising action.

(the most simplest form. There are other arcs, such as ‘Character Obstacles’, ‘Character Tragedy’, and ‘Character Hero Story’. There are a few more too, but those are the ones I write the most of :)b There’s even a romantic one! Look them up and find your favorites in your own stories, comics, or movies ;)b)

For example, in my lastest Sonamy story, the turning point for the characters was when Amy also got sick with Sonic. This changed the normality which was that Sonic was originally sick, and now, the conflict begins of how are they gonna hide from the robots while both being squished together sharing leaves and turning ditzy in their sickness? I then lead that to Act 3, where silliness does ensue but they end up having a memorable, although disgustingly funny, platonic moment together that turned sweeter and even romantic as the conclusion unfolded. (Prompt: x)

Granted, this story is NOT a work of art haha XD I was inspired to make it, but the plot to it was extremely simple, which is why no real ‘action’ takes place and it’s all character emotion that drive the plot forward.

Many ways a character can express or subtly hint at their emotions. Sometimes they’re impulsive and transparent, wearing their hearts on their sleeves. (AMY) Sometimes their shy or subtle, opting to mask their emotions deep below the surface until they can’t help but ‘leak’ their emotions out during the climactic reveal and ‘breaking point’ for their character or plot summary. (Sonic.) Sometimes their so out of it, or not even in tune with their own emotions that they play them off and go cynical with it all. (Sometimes, I see this as Classic Sonic, but not always.), there are many more. Find them all! lol

As for my bigger fanfictions, I do make a summary, which is the full story condensed into a page or so worth of ‘notes’ as I refer to them. It’s not as neat as labeling Act 1-3, but it does give me a basic outline.

For Example, you can’t use your summary outline for your summary to your story. Your summary should have the reader asking questions so they’ll want to engage with the story. Instead, your Summary Outline should look like this:

Sonic and Amy, during a normal fight with Eggman, suddenly mention a tough topic for the both of them that causes some bickering and tension. When the tension accelerates beyond normal teasing, the two end up accidentally losing their tempers and hurting each other. Eggman, deciding drama’s not what he wanted today, sends a fully-armed attack at them while their distracted, thinking it a good opportunity to catch Sonic off-guard. However, though Sonic looks like he’s about to get whammed by the ambush, Amy pushes him out of the way and they survive. Amazed, Sonic rushes over to her, “Amy! W-why… Why did you jump in the way like that? I don’t get it… Weren’t you mad?” He hovers over her as she weakly squints an eye up at him (NOTE: This part is getting more detailed, can you tell? It’s the climax of the story and should have much more detail and notes going on. Even dialogue that can be rewritten or changed. It’s okay to have notes like this for your most dramatic scene, and keep the rest of it generally swift, but try not to go too vague. If you do, you may forget how you wanted to write that part, and that’s NO GOOD! -Sonic reference, lol!) “S-Sonic… Don’t you understand?!” She wobbly gets up to lean up into his face, “No matter how mad you may make me, or how awful our bantering gets, I will still love you no matter what!” (Exciting Incident, Amy’s confession, which will lead to a reaction in not only Sonic but the audience. This is the height of the climax and when things start to go down, but Sonic’s climax is right after this– example: ) Sonic, taken back by her words, suddenly smiles, “I can do no wrong by you… can I?” Amy smiles, and when Sonic realizes she’s not teasing or messing around this time, loses the smile and has his eyes scan her for any sign of humor. When none is found, he embraces her, “…Thank you… Amy.” (This is the point you begin the falling action, which is also the beginning of Act 3, which starts at the ending of the climax and continues towards the resolution, the lasting effect or result of the climax. What has now changed for the characters? What is their new reality? In Drama, there needs to be a few players: Victim, Villian, and Rescuer. Rescuer has to lose every time, then the dynamic will change to Victim as a Villain, and Villian as Victim. This then turns into ‘Creator of the drama’ which is neither victim nor villain, to two supports, ‘Challenger’ Sonic then turns to Eggman, cocky and snarky as usual, but this time, with an arm around Amy’s shoulders. They fight together and beat Eggman, still lightly joking with one another, but not as bad as before. Eggman is confused, defeated, he asks what happened. Amy and Sonic confidently look to each other, and together, wink slyly and say, “Friends fight together!” Before Sonic says, “Doesn’t mean they’ll leave ya if you have different opinions then them.” He smiles to her as she nods and continues his sentence for him, looking to him with love and admiration. “It just means you’re two different people, and that’s just fine by me! Otherwise, the world would be so boring!” (The lesson is usually delivered towards the end of Act 3, maybe not as strongly as this was. Sometimes, the lesson can be subtle and should be too. You don’t want to write ‘on the nose’ unless you’re writing for children very young, but in my opinion, Children are super smart too and pick up on a lot! My advice is to write strongly and powerfully even if it’s just for children audiences. They’re smarter than you think!) “And dull!” Sonic remarks, as the two of them laugh. Unable to comprehend their strange mood swings, Eggman grips his head and ducks down, frowning profusely, “Ahh… Now I have a headache…” (

And by the end, your audience will have understood the climb your characters took to reach that resolution, and they–themselves–reach a conclusion to their emotional relief. (People hate cliffhangers so much because you leave the Audience suspended in their need for closure, but that also addicts them to your story… so Authors can’t help but use it XD But we hate having it used on ourselves!!! Curiosity doesn’t kill your story, only your cat! And the satisfaction of knowing brings it back ;)b)

Was it hard for your characters to reach a conclusion?

Did that help? Lol This plot I made was rather simple, but I hope it taught it some stuff I like to think about when making a story! :D Drama is SO IMPORTANT! Remember to think of their character cores as well, what traits could create conflict in them and in others? What traits could help them learn and cope through that trauma? These are all important, and Romance usually has a ‘revelation’ or ‘impulsive excitement push’ around 10-15 pages/minutes when writing or watching a romance plot. I call it the ‘push’ because you can tell the writer is trying to nudge the two together. In film, you see them get bumped up against each other and then apologize but the girl moves her hair as a distraction and the boy looks away, but both are nervous and awkwardly blushing. That’s another ‘push’ in my book towards the romantic subplot.)

Decepticon Wind Ensemble AU Expansion

Part 2 of 2. Characterizations of the Decepticons if they were in a High School Wind Symphony.

C o l l e g e. It’s great! But so time consuming lol. I had planned to get this done in August, but I had forgotten what school is like. So anyway, here’s part two!    

Trumpet

Blitzwing: In marching band, he’s the section leader who will make you do fifty pushups for every minute you show up late. In wind ensemble, he’s the quiet guy who silently judges his section for not practicing. In jazz band, he’s bat shit insane.

Ratbat:  The most arrogant member of the program. He has the confidence to back his skills, but he does not understand that dynamics other than ‘blastissimo’ exist.

Dragstrip: Started the tradition where the trumpets in the program will attempt to sacrifice a clarinet before a contest. Barricade is the primary target.

Wildrider: Hosted an after-performance party at the local McDonalds. He is now banned from the local McDonalds.

Motormaster: He once tripped on a Tuba in the stadium when he was trying to cut in line. This created a domino effect in the trumpet and trombone sections. It is said that Megatron switched from double shot to triple shot energy drinks on that day.

Brawl: Will miss his step-offs 95% of the time.

Bonecrusher: He can only play one scale. He can read music and he has the practice sheets, yet he can only play one scale. His auditions take twenty minutes.

French Horn  

Octane: Will fight you if he catches you saying that Mellophones and French Horns are the same thing. No one will save you.

Flywheels: The only pieces of music he likes to play are chorals. Sure, he says he practices other tunes, but you that he’s lying.

Ramjet: He only listens to music by The Beatles. Their CDs are on 24/7.  He can play the French Horn solo in “For No One.” He always asks Megatron if they can play their music in the stands.

Waspinator: The only reason why he chose to play French Horn was because he thought it looked cool.

Mixmaster: Does Tik Tok dances during marching rehearsal. The scary part is that he’s gotten others to join him.

Trombone

Scourge: Cried tears of happiness when DCI decided to accept trombones into the sport. This is all he practices for now.

Scorponok: His purpose in life: to add a trombone mouthpiece onto whatever instrument he can get ahold of. He then attempts to play this new instrument during rehearsal. Chaos ensues.

Rumble: Organized the trombone section to go to Sonic during rehearsal to get milkshakes. When Megatron noticed, it was too late. They were already running into the sunset.

Frenzy: His goal is to reenact every vine with a trombone. He cannot be stopped.  

Reflector: He accidently threw his slide from the stands into the football field and knocked a football player out. The entire stadium was silent for ten seconds. He is no longer allowed to attend football games.

Bass Trombone

Overlord: Feels as if it is his responsibility to say the lewdest comments during rehearsal. He does this to get Megatron’s attention, but Megatron is particularly good at ignoring him. The other remembers of low brass? Not so much…

Euphoniums

Nickel: The only one keeping the euphoniums from descending into further chaos.

Clobber: Plays Animal Crossing during rehearsal. It’s a blessing from Primus that there has not been a collision on the marching field… yet.

Vortex: Always has the tendency to be flat. He never fixes this before rehearsal even though he’s been told to do so 20 million times.

Blast Off: Always has the tendency to be sharp. He never fixes this before rehearsal even though he’s been told to do so 20 million times.

Tubas

Crankcase: All of his friends are in band so he can’t leave.

Strika: The captain of loading crew. She makes sure the percussion equipment is loaded into the truck properly, and she makes sure the freshman put their stuff in the right place. She is not responsible for anyone getting run over.  

Breakdown: He once had a marimba fall on him. That was not a good day.  

Longhaul: After every rehearsal, he’ll play the first few measures of the Veggie Tales theme song. He’ll do this for five minutes.  

Onslaught: Responsible for getting “Vehicle” taken out of the stand tune rotation. He’s on thin ice with “Hey Baby.” The band has agreed to fight him if that happens.

Piano

Kaon: He has perfect pitch. He’s an auditory learning god. If you think you’re good, listening to him play makes you lose your faith in pursuing music as a career.

Harp

Nova Storm: You’ll find her in orchestra more often than you’ll find her in band. The only reason she’s there is because she’s working on applications for music conservatory and needs the practice.

String Bass

Shadow Striker: Like Nova Storm, you’ll find her in orchestra more often than you’ll find her in band. However, she’s an honorary member of percussion, so you can find her in the back room with them.

Drum Kit

Tesarus: The only person in the program who yells more than Starscream. This is because he has lost hearing due to his tendency to forget to wear earplugs. He also has his own band. They have rehearsal in his garage.  

Percussion

Sixshot: The king of multitasking. He can play the marimba with six mallets, and he is the tenor drum in drumline. He’s currently learning how to play piano and string bass

Quake: Always has first dibs on playing the snare drum. He will sabotage any attempt to take it from him.

Helex: Always takes the Timpani. He just wants the big solo moments.

Ion Storm: Vapes in the percussion back room. Accidently caused the fire alarm to go off during rehearsal. No one followed fire drill procedures.

Dirt Boss: The first to enter the percussion back room and the last to leave. What crimes does he commit? Sorry, but you’re not allowed to know that.

Crumplezone: Wrote “Elongated Muskrat” on the white board. Then he surrounded it with the cowboy hat emoji. Is it a death threat? A cry for help? A sign of the rapture? No one knows.

Jhiaxus: You never know what he’ll be doing next. From chimes to the gong to the cymbals to the Bongo drum, you’ll never expect what choices he’ll make.

Ransack: Purposefully reenacted the “Star Spangled Banner Cymbal Fail.” He is no longer allowed to play the cymbals.

Choir

Cyclonus: You might see him in the band hall. You might see him hanging out with band kids. You may even see him at football games and concerts. Don’t be mistaken, though. He is not in band.

"I remember when he used to be nobody."

"How did he get this rich?"

"Rumor has it that he sells alcohol."

"Can you both please concentrate on your job?"

Cream and Blaze looked at Amy, surprised and relieved that it was her and not a certain black hedgehog.

"If Mr. Shadow hears you, he will scold you."

1927, the economy was good for some and others not so much. Although the prohibition of alcohol angered the civilians, others saw this as an opportunity to become millionaires. Shadow the Hedgehog was not the exception, working all of his life with no results, he was finally given an opportunity to rise in the world of smuggling alcohol.

And in a couple of years, Shadow was the most wanted bachelor.

"Mr. Shadow must be tired from last night." Cream said. "He throws parties as if it was new years every weekend."

Blaze began to mop the floor as she added a small comment. "Or he is tired of attending all the ladies he brought to his room."

"Whatever it was if you want to keep getting paid 40 cents an hour then keep cleaning," Amy said she was cleaning one of the hundreds of windows the mansion had. Her eyes averted to the outside, she noticed a white hedgehog waiting outside the gates of the mansion.

"Guess who is here?" Amy looked at Blaze and teased her. "Loverboy if here for you."

"He is not my boyfriend!" Blaze looked around the room, not sure how to hide her embarrassment. "He is my friend ... besides, I can't see him right now. I need to clean the kitchen first."

Cream spun around the purple cat and smiled at her. "Don't worry, you go to your ... friend. I 'll go to the kitchen."

Blaze smiled shyly at her friends and whispered a 'thank you' to them. She left the two and Crea, was fast to go to the kitchen. Amy was by herself now. In what was one of Shadow's multiple 'resting room.' It was smaller than the others he had. However, Amy noticed that this room was Shadow's favorite room. The resting room consisted of a king-size bed, three windows that showed the outside of the house, a small sofa, and a vanity. Soft white colors and gold, and perfectly clean to show how rich he was. Amy was about to leave the room when she noticed she had missed a spot on the window. She grabbed her rag and as she was cleaning the dirty spot, she noticed a purple cat and white hedgehog.

Outside the gates, they whispered between each other. Sharing smiles and giggles. It was like this almost every day. Silver actually comes from a rich family but Blaze not so much. In one of Shadow's multiple parties, he met Silver and they clicked instantly. They became good friends and after coming to visit Shadow multiple times, Silver found himself falling in love with the purple cat.

But their love couldn't be.

Silver's parents would never allow him to be with Blaze, someone from the low class. For this reason, they could only meet in secret like this.

"It's wrong to stare."

His voice runs down her spine. It seemed like he had just woken up. His husky voice and his sleepy voice was something that Amy found oddly satisfying. Amy turned her body fully to face her boss.

"Good morning Mr. Shadow," Amy said.

"More like afternoon." Shadow walked towards the window and right away noticed the two secret lovers. Amy found herself close to the black hedgehog. She could smell his natural smell and cologne along with other types of expensive perfumes coming from the girls that were certain to be in his room.

"I don't know what is taking him so long to propose," Shadow said out loud. He wasn't meaning for that to be answered by his maid so when she did, he was surprised.

"If Mr. Silver marries Blaze, he will be disinherited." Amy added, "What kind of future will he provide Blaze if he doesn't have any money?"

"She won't be lonely ... they won't be lonely."

Shadow turned around to look at Amy. Within all of her maids, he trusted her the most. After all, she was the one who would arrange secret meetings with a certain white bat. "Just look at me ... I have all the money in the world and I am alone."

Amy felt embarrassed. She was aware of the undying love Shadow had for Rouge the Bat, the most beautiful female in all of Central City and wife of Knuckles the Echidna. One of Shadow's associates and owner of the mining caves outside the city.

Shadow and Rouge used to be in a serious relationship. Shadow was poor and the night he was going to propose to her, Rouge left him to marry Knuckles.

"My apologies Mr. Shadow. I shouldn't have-" Amy said but she was interrupted.

"It's alright Ms. Rose ... Please leave this room."

"Yes, Mr. Shadow."

Amy walked away and she slowly closed the door. Before closing it completely, Amy peeked through the door gap. She saw Shadow looking outside the window, sadness covered his face expression and melancholy was predominant in the air.

She closed the door, for some reason, she always found herself feeling the same grief as the black hedgehog.

"Come Shadow, I know Rouge and I know she won't leave Knuckles."

"But she loves me!"

"She loves the diamonds."

Sonic looked at himself in the multiple mirrors that surrounded him.

"I can give her that too!" Shadow responded.

"Exactly, if she has you both she will get double the diamonds. Sorry, but you know I think she is just using you."

Shadow looked at himself in mirrors along Sonic, he had gotten a new white suit imported from Italy and thought it would be good to wear it for tonight's party.

"Also, I don't understand how Rouge lets you be with other girls."

Sonic was one of Shadow's friends. He was honest with him, something that Shadow appreciated. Unlike him, Sonic worked hard to be where he is. A famous Olympic winner athlete and although he didn't have as much money as Shadow, Sonic already had a couple of business under his name. However, his main concentration at the moment was to create a new car brand.

"If I am with other girls, no one can suspect that she and I are secretly together." Shadow went outside his room, he looked around and like always he found Amy outside. She was there in case he needed anything. He invited her in, and she softly walked with towards the large closet room where enormous mirrors surrounded him.

Sonic noticed a pink hedgehog enter the closet, he stares more than he wanted but to be honest, it was strange to see a pink hedgehog.

"Believe me," Sonic said. "A girl who loves you would never want you to be with other girls no matter the circumstances."

Shadow sighed and went back to the mirrors. "Amy, pass me my suits as we talk."

Shadow began to undress and he was surprised when he didn't hear an answer from his maid.

"Amy?" Shadow asked again. He didn't hear an answer, he decided to turn and look at the pink hedgehog. What he found was actually interesting. A shy pink hedgehog staring at his blue friend with loving eyes.

Amy felt someone's eyes on her and she realized her position.

"Yes, Mr. Shadow!"

Shadow smirked at the pink one. Maybe it was time to pay off his debt.

"Sonic, Silver said he was going to be arriving around this time." Shadow said, "Would you mind checking outside the gate?"

"Sure," Sonic said and with the left the closet and the room.

Now, a shirtless Shadow and his loyal pink maid. Amy wasn't comfortable at all, she had seen Shadow shirtless multiple times. What made her uncomfortable, was the silence that surrounded them.

"The first time I asked you to arrange a secret meeting with Rouge, you didn't complain." Shadow said, "Everything was kept a secret and even know you never complained about it."

Amy stood quiet, waiting for her boss to continue.

"If you like Sonic ..." Shadow started, "I can help you with that."

Amy has had the longest crush in Sonic the Hedgehog since she can remember. She remembers living in the same orphanage as him however they parted ways as the orphanages began closing in the country. They used to be close friends but it seemed like Sonic had forgotten about her.

After they parted ways, Sonic was recruited to run competitively and Amy was simply a sewer assistant.

She still remembers hearing his name on the radio as he won the gold medal for the in the Muigleb Olympics.

And here she was now.

Walking down the stairs to join the party.

Amy has been Shadow's maid since around 3 years ago and not once has she ever participated in one of these parties. She mostly went the day after, ready to clean the mess made by the elites.

Her long black dress accentuated her figure. It was sleeveless and she places her hands in front of her, making her long white gloves stand out, contrasting with the black dress. Beautiful golden patterns decorated the dress, up and down, around her waist and her chest area. Instead of her usual red headband, her hair was decorated with a diamond headpiece that placed itself on her forehead. Amy had always thought of herself as an average looking but she couldn't help and giggle as she felt the male's eyes observing her.

Who could have thought that Shadow had such a good taste?

However, Amy felt out of tone. The biggest party she had been to was Blaze's 21 birthday. They had music playing on the Radio, not live musicians. There was confetti, not all of these bright lights. They were drinking lemonade and of course no alcohol.

She was curious about the taste and of her goals tonight was to at least take a sip of that.

Her main goal was to have a decent conversation with Sonic the Hedgehog.

As soon she finished walking down the stairs, she was approached by multiple males. Asking her name. She had to tell lies, of course, she couldn't say she was a maid.

She was starting to panic until someone came to rescue her.  

"Excuse me, miss?"

She recognized that voice. It was the blue one. The males surrounding Amy opened up the space between him and the girl.

Sonic smiled at Amy and offered her his hand. "May I escort you?"

Amy didn't even think for a second and she held his hands. The other man backoff and Sonic took Amy and they began to walk across the gigantic backyard.

They walked around the pool, and across the water fountain where the buffet was. All class of food was on the buffet table, Amy always had pride in her cooking but the food here made her cooking look like trash. Or so, that she thought.

"You were in trouble back there, right?" Sonic added, "You are Shadow's maid correct? Don't worry I won't anyone."

Sonic offered Amy a glass of water which she accepted sadly. "How ... did you?"

"You are a pink hedgehog, you don't see that very often." Sonic decided to tease her a little. "There's a royal family in Muigleg that only consists of only pink hedgehogs. You know, the first time I saw you I thought you were a princess that decided to hook up with Shadow."

Amy felt the heat rise in her cheeks. Just the thought of Shadow and her ... no.

Sonic left out a few laughs and he was content with the results. The pink one, although she wasn't speaking much, had funny facial expressions.

"So ... what is your name?"

"Amy."

"Amy?" Sonic tilted his head a bit in confusion. "That sounds oddly familiar ... do you mind telling me your last name?"

"I am Amy R-"

"Mr. Shadow! Let's go to your room!"

Amy's attention was drawn towards the black hedgehog. As always, he was surrounded by beautiful girls.

But this time it was different.

"No, I want to be alone."

"Come one! You will have fun with us."

A girl came closer to him and began to kiss him. He tried pulling her away but she back to kissing.

"No, I said no," Shadow said again. He was having difficulty standing up straight and keeping his eyes open.

Amy looked back at Sonic.

"I think we need to help him."

"Shadow?" Sonic asked. "He will be fine. This is what happens every weekend. Shadow gets drunk, girls get all over him, he says no but they always convince him to go to his room."

"But he is drunk," Amy replied.

"Don't think about it too much, he is ok with it," Sonic walked towards Amy. He placed a hand on her shoulder, making her had her whole attention. "Let's not think about this ... Instead, let's spend the night together, shall we?"

Amy thought that she was willing to give up on everything if that meant she could spend a night with Sonic.

Seeing him smile once again was everything she needed.

But even with that, her answer was clear.

She didn't hesitate, it wasn't even a question. It was her priority.

"I am sorry ladies, but the bank's closed."

Amy interrupted the crow of girls who were dragging Shadow to his room. All of them stopped and looked at her, not wanting to go without a fight.

"And who are you?" One of the girls asked.

Amy was surprised that she came alive out of that one. One good thing about rich girls is that certainly, they didn't know how to fight. It was over soon, everyone was too into the party to even bother with them and my finish with a small scratch in her cheek.

She was victorious and her trophy was taking a drunk Shadow to his room.

She placed him on his bed and closed the door behind them. Shadow sat down on the edge of the bed, too drunk to know what was happening.

Amy examined him, his suit was tight making his strong physic stand out. Amy had to admit that it made him look very attractive but it wasn't very convenient at the moment.

She began to undress him. She took off his suit and Amy wanted to take off his shirt as well but Shadow stopped her.

"No," Shadow said.

"If you throw up, I don't want you to stain your shirt," Amy said.

"I have more."

"Oh yes ... looking at your like this makes me forget you are rich." Amy replied as she attempted to take off his shirt again. "But I don't want to be cleaning it tomorrow anyways!"

"Why you clean?" Shadow asked with a hiccup.

"That's what I must do," Amy replied. Shadow seemed more comfortable now. He was letting her unbutton his shirt.

"Why? Are you my wife?"

Amy let out a small laugh and replied. "Mr. Shadow, if I was your wife then you wouldn't be like this. That much I can promise you."

"Then marry me."

Amy knew that he didn't mean it but his voice showed so much sincerity that it scared her. She was in almost done unbuttoning his shirt. However, she stopped and looked at him in the eyes.

"I don't want to be like this," Shadow said as he grabbed Amy's eyes. "I don't want to be alone anymore."

Shadow may have gotten all of his money out of selling alcohol. He may have a cold personality but he was alone. Shadow felt alone all the time.

Even with that Shadow had a kind heart, he was caring and selfless. Amy knew this was true because in the three years she had been working with him, he had shown her that and more. Shadow was a great hedgehog.

"I can't promise you life but I can promise you this night," Amy replied. "Go to sleep, don't worry I will be here with you."

"You won't leave?"

"I won't, I promise-"

Blaargh

Amy looked disgusted at Shadow. Not only had he vomited on his pants, but he had also throw up her dress.

"MR. SHADOW! NOT ON THE CARPET!"

It had been hell bringing up Shadow to his room. But it was going to be a whole new adventure to make him shower.

But Amy was willing to that and more ... everything for Mr. Shadow ... the ‘great’  Hedgehog.
