#Like idk calling someone a bitch as a trans man vs as a cis woman may have a worse effect on that person

it's really cool when people treat your assigned sex at birth and by extension your rejection of it as a trans person as something VERY important that precludes you from understanding or speaking on certain experiences but ALSO treat any self-identification with said assigned sex as proof that you're not actually transgender. one must constantly remember that they were once female and can never understand what it was like to once be male or vice versa, but ALSO one must never actually refer to themself as female/male, or relate to females/males, or acknowledge that others may see them as female/male, or claim that issues generally applicable only to females/males affect them. but also one must not forget that whatever amount of time one spent as female/male, no matter how brief, is a fundamental and inescapable part of one's being that implies certain things about them no matter what.
#It also tends to intersect with this idea that since men are the Bad Evil Gender#Trans men need to atone for identifying as the Bad Gender but also trans women need to atone for having previously ' been ' the Bad Gender#Which is... sort of true? In that you should generally be aware of privileges you posses that you could be weaponizing#Like idk calling someone a bitch as a trans man vs as a cis woman may have a worse effect on that person#And if you grow up as a man you might be more likely to be taught shitty ideas#But that's all very... Individual. They can be GENERALLY true but going on around leveling such generalizations#As specific accusations at individual people simply because of their AGAB or current gender. Is dumb. And rude.#Same way me telling a random Christian person they hate Jews unprompted is weird. Even if they ARE more likely to do so bc of their bg#It's also just wildly unproductive because people don't tend to respond well to targeted and unfounded accusations of bigotry#Easier to internalize that for example ALL white people can develop shitty attitudes on race than that You did and it's Your fault#But generally people do this because it feels good to get mad at a random guy and not to genuinely convince said guy to not be a bigot
