On the one hand, doctors working in public healthcare deserve rights
On the other hand, if they strike people fucking DIE
#the leftist infighting going on in my brain is absolutely legendary#And like. To be fair. Doctors usually strike because they don't get shit and the administration keeps all the resources#INSTEAD OF BUYING THE EQUIPMENT THEY NEED TO TREAT PEOPLE#Like bruh people sleeping on the floor out here there's no chemo and the building is falling apart#In all fairness people are already dying BUT IF DOCTORS STOP WORKING THEY ARE GONNA DIE MORE#And that's the thing because doctors know this and they are not inmune. There's doctors here that keep treating people anyway#(ie. my mom)#but that makes the strike less effective. but she can't bring herself to let people on their own like that. she just can't.#even if we can barely afford rent we are still in a very practical privileged situation compared to most people#and she knows because public healthcare takes everyone in and she constantly sees children suffering from malnutrition#and I feel like no strike is going to fully do anything unless we all come together and riot at the same time#so you get what I mean
