Ok, I need to borrow someone's ear for a minute to let me spitball on a particular scene I am working on in a Slow Horses fic, because I want to make sure it is not me coming through more than River.

#river cartwright #slow horses #look I know for a fact I will 100% die out of sheer stubborness #I have almost drowned or been dragged to near death multiple times because I literally will not let go of something #so I have a very hard time understanding characters where they might not be quite THAT stubborn and where to draw the line #My threshold for pain is through the roof #as in I have not just broken bones I have shattered them and I didn't shed a single tear but was cracking jokes all the way to the ER #and while I think River is the Stubborn Type I am not sure where to draw the line #I made a career out of torpedoing my career and sticking it to the man to the point that I was blackmailing 12+ officers to avoid brig time #Like I am probably closer to Shirley without the drug problem #I just want to make sure River is IN character while I put him THROUGH THINGS
