Life advice
Percy: Man, I wish the gods noticed us for once-
Odysseus: *Grabs Percy by the shoulders* No you don't.
Percy: Wha-
Odysseus: No, you don't. Go live your life, run free, stay in school, start a family whatever you do just don't be a favorite of the Gods. Stay neglected by them, trust me.
Percy: Wait- you're Odysseus, that's so cool! Wait aren't you a favorite of the gods-?
Odysseus: Yes and believe me when I say it's not as glorifying as you think it is-
Zeus: OOOOH ODYSSEUS~!! WHO WANTS SOME GOOD CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT US GENEROUS GODS WANNA OH SO DEARLY GIVE TO YOU~!?
Odysseus: FUCK THEY FOUND ME-! RUN! SAVE YOURSELF-!

I will never get over the fact that Athena’s first line in We’ll Be Fine is “I had a friend before, and he was a lot like you” instead of “you are a lot like him”. It’s almost like Athena is treating Odysseus as the “loving father of Telemachus” instead of Telemachus as merely “the son of Odysseus”. I AM NOT OKAY

Do I dare headcannon that Odysseus hurts Telemachus during the Ithaca Saga.
Do I dare wonder that at the peak of Odysseus's ruthlessness, at the peak of his bloodlust, he will fail to see the man that is Telemachus, the one that he only saw as an infant, as anything but another suitor that will endanger his wife.
Do I dare envision that only after skin was pierced does Odysseus notice the man's resemblance to Penelope and himself.
Do I dare imagine Odysseus dropping his weapon and backing away in horror for what he has done. For what the monster he had become has done.
Do I dare consider how Telemachus will feel at the moment. How he feels upon meeting the war hero that he has only knew of through stories. How he feels upon meeting the father that was idolized but he never knew. How he feels about the man that has massacred over a hundred men and nearly added him to the trail of bodies.
Do I dare...
