I feel so bad for Chanel #5 she was so nice but everyone was super mean to her like I fr wanted to give her a big hug and tell her she’s loved like at least 3 of her boyfriends died and no one cared when she passed the MCAT’s without cheating and got no praise and everyone just kept telling her to shut up and that no one cares I felt so bad like I get it’s a cliché but still I think zayday was the only one who was nice to her probably also grace but she wasn’t in season 2 and she was so pretty but no one gave her credit for it and called her ugly and that no men would ever want her so fcking sad but yeah just wanted to speak out about it

“If the 2004 movie had gotten sequel(s), who would have been cast?”, Part Two

Inspired by an ASOUE subreddit thread that asked the same question (which I deleted from bookmarks a year or so ago so I can’t sadly share it update edit I found the link because it was still in my history here) I did my own fancasting for some characters. Netflix ASOUE is used as a comparison to see a what could have been in the 2000′s. Round Two, it’s Fiona and Carmelita, with a bonus of Fernald throughout the continuities.

Regarding Fiona, when I was listening to the movie soundtrack a long time ago, the thought of Fiona being a blonde came to mind. So I thought of Dakota Fanning [photo references are Push (2009) and The Secret Life of Bees (2008)] and AnnaSophia Robb [photo reference is Race to Witch Mountain (2009)]. Dakota Fanning I thought first because I feel she can pull of Fiona’s introvert-ish traits, which I think the movie would keep and play up (for better or for worse? Depends on how Widdershins is handle).

AnnaSophia Robb fits the Fiona in my ASOUE AU, hence the face claim mention. But if movie went a different route, I can see her working also. This would be a Fiona who would be outspoken of her thoughts at times. A Fiona that is soft-spoken, but not introvert-ish (for better or for worse? Again, depends on Widdershins.).

Regarding Carmelita, I feel unlike Netflix who kept Carmelita’s energy, played it up, and made it wonderful, the movie would downplay it. And I went with Abigail Breslin; her as Chanel #5/Libby Putney in Scream Queens is more or less that (a queen bee on a lower tier). Photo references are Definitely, Maybe (2008) and Kit Kittredge: An American Girl (2008). The latter, I feel Carmelita in this what if 2000′s would look like, with brown, auburn, or red hair.

I threw in Fernald because I want to talk about his appearance in conjunction to being Fiona’s brother. Netflix!Fernald and Russian Illustration!Fernald look old enough to have a teenage sister. Brett Helquist!Fernald goes through a bit of artist interpretation, imo. But Movie!Fernald? With Jamie Harris being 41 when the movie was release (so 40 during filming), his appearance doesn’t really say, ‘I have a (now teenage) sister I never see anymore’. Makes you wonder if TGG was completed for the movie to make note of.

Dear Hayden,

It’s the last day of camp and possibly the last time I might ever see you because we live so far apart. I was really homesick but you made me feel better. I think I might’ve left camp early if it hadn’t been for you. So thank you. Also you’re a really amazing swimmer and I like your laugh. I wish it had been me you kissed at the bonfire last night and not Winter A.

Dear Libby

I never met a girl with manners as good as yours. You ought to have a British accent. At homecoming, you wore pearls and they suited you so well, I think you could wear pearls all the time and get away with it.

Libby, I wish I knew what kind of girls you liked. As far as I can tell you haven’t dated anyone except Sadie S. You’re just so mysterious, I hardly know anything about you. I guess the only real thing I know about you is that you’re a good writer, which means you must have deep reserves of emotion. Like that short story you wrote in creative writing, about the poisoned well and it was from a six year old boy’s perspective. It was so sensitive, so keen!

That story made me feel like I know you at least a little bit. But I don’t know you, and I wish I did. I think you’re very special. I think you’re probably one of the most special people at our school and I wish more people knew that about you. Or maybe I don’t, because it’s nice to be the only person that knows something.

Dear Emily

I know the exact day it started. Fall, eighth grade. We got caught in the rain when we had to put all the softball bats away after gym. We started to run back to the building and I couldn’t run as fast as you so you stopped and grabbed my bag too. It was even better than if you grabbed my hand. I still remember the way you looked -your t-shirt was stuck to your back and your hair wet like you’d just come out of the shower. When it started to pour, you whooped and hollered like a little kid. There was this moment -you looked back at me and your grin was as wide as your face. You said, “Come on Zoe!”

It was right then. That’s when I knew all the way down to my soaking-wet Keds. I love you, Emily. I really love you. I might have loved you all of high school. I think you might have loved me back. If only you weren’t moving away, Emily. It’s so unfair when people move away. It’s like their parents just decide something and no one else gets a say in it. Not that I even deserve a say -I’m not your girlfriend or anything. But you at least deserve a say. 

I was really hoping that one day I’d get to call you Em. Your mom came to get you at school once and a bunch of us were hanging out on the steps. And we didn’t see her so she honked and called out “Em!” I loved the sound of that. Em. One day I bet your girlfriend will call you Em. She’s really lucky. Maybe you already have a girlfriend or boyfriend right now. If you do, know this -once upon a time, a girl in New Orleans loved you. 

I’m just going to say it this once, since you’ll never hear it again. Good-bye, Em.
